The Charentis Project (Charentis for short) is one of many scientific peaks that the Tuffles have devised in all of their genius. Yet her various clones over the years have developed in wildly different ways from wildly different circumstances. At the present age of forty-four, her eighteenth successful corpse is monstrous in how far the body's developed. She stands eight feet tall, weighing in at five hundred and eighty six pounds or two hundred and sixty five kilograms. Her blond hair is too long to be tamed, nearly reaching her hips with how long it's been growing uncontrolled for. At some point she developed eyes of different coloration due to runaway genes during a particularly hazardous upgrade in another clones life, and while the chaotic split from development expectations were addressed she does still have the one red and one blue eye. The years she lived typically has her wearing a passive or pensive expression. Her wardrobe when it can be helped is standard uniform, but more often than not at some point her superiors assign her with a uniform that is less expensive to maintain as she grows older and outgrows others. She wears what she can. She can often have a very looming presence, judging her environment and the people in them at all times. Previous available documentation depicts different descriptions of her appearance. Corpse 3 for example grew to nine feet and six inches before dying of heart failure, a flaw that was addressed in later Corpses. Some of them were much more emaciated and lanky, some of them had their bones snap from how large they were, causing euthanasia to be the only answer for that particular clone. Her current size clocks in at about 80% of the largest Charentis Corpse to ever exist, 9C, 10ft tall at age 95 before dying of natural causes. One severe record indicates a scenario where a psychotic breakdown triggered uncontrollable genetic mutation, described only as 'a featureless amalgam', 'not humanoid' and 'demonic' in nature. What is consistent is that The Charentis Project has always addressed the flaws of the previous Corpse with each subsequent one. | 18G is mentally unpredictable. Data between 10C and 18G is largely missing, but investigation led to the conclusion the autocloning procedure has passed over the memories of growing and dying in a vat while the Charentis Facility was not maintained. This has lead to a threatening instability, but nothing as dire or worthy of worry as previous psychotic personalities that have manifested. Charentis is consistently stoic unless engaging with individuals she seeks something from, be it as simple as gratification or as grand as their lives. When exposed to mental catalysts from previous clones, she has been found to quickly adapt the behavior that Corpse had at that time. The only real truth of 18G's most recent psychological report is that regardless of the tone or mannerism it takes, she does have a consistent objective and drive that makes some of her behavior predictable. That objective aligns with ISLET doctrines, carried forth from a bitter end to the war on Planet Plant. The end of the Saiyan race. Previous available documentation of prior Corpse's psychological assessment are largely predictable developments of the prior ones, as indicated in most Corpses before 7C. It is believed that 7B's unexpected pre-developed termination caused some mental defects that sparked the introduction of chaotic behaviors witnessed in 7C and 8C. The remainder of Corpses had psychological council and chemical treatment regimens after that point, and the severity of mental radicalism has faded dramatically since that point back to near normal levels. At one time Charentis was considered to be wiped, however their intense drive to truly end the war with the Saiyans was deemed more valuable than having to instill that will in them once more. |
| Intergalactic Merchandise Given years of military service under the TAS, Charentis has certainly gotten a name for herself as an excellent example of what a Tuffle Supersoldier can be. As such, models and figurines of her were once distributed for the purposes of influencing others to enlist in the height of Tuffle's existence in the greater galaxy. It is no surprise that some of those ended up on Earth. Line 1: One of the Charentis Projects most successful commercial endeavour, being the cause of waves of recruits for the Tuffle-Saiyan War after giving greenhorns a false (for most of them) idea that they'd have food cooked by the famous supersoldier herself. Naturally only a handful have first hand experience with this, but the legend lived on and exceeded the soldier it belonged too. The figurine is roughly six inches tall and is rather durable, featuring a smug younger and less modified Charentis splaying some salt into the void with some stylish sunglasses. Line 2: Off-Duty Charentis is another figurine in a line of Tuffle products that made their way across space over the centuries given their popularity. Made out of a durable metal and sold for a premium price for their premium popularity, the figurine included adjustable limb positioning and a removable suit jacket. Otherwise it features a slightly taller than 'Salty Charentis' rendition of the supersoldier at 6'5, wearing a black suit jacket with a deep cut white dress shirt. Her expression teeters between exhaustion and frustration, and most took the impression that it was her about to whoop some rookies into shape. Line 3: Mourning Supersoldier Charentis is a collectors piece that has been maintained vigorously by the few that manage to get their hands on them- certainly around the time they were produced. With one thousand total (in comparison to hundredfold that for Salty Charentis, and tenfold for Off-Duty Charentis) it can be found on Earth if one knows where to look or gets lucky at a given slot machine that had a figure with unknown value lopped in with the rest. It is a full metal figurine that instead of representing each foot of Charentis's height in inches instead, is at a x2 scale, meaning each foot of her own height is reflected with two inches in the figure. Therefore the figure stands a total of fourteen inches tall, released in the harder years of the war showing the supersoldier in her exosuit giving respects to the fallen and brave soldiers of the war. It was both a genuine reflection of her feelings and a means to rally the hearts of crestfallen Tuffles to keep the fight strong. She holds a singular metal flower in her hand. Line 4: The last released Charentis figurine during the Tuffle-Saiyan War. Showing her in her most advanced state (at the time) the figurine stands at seven and a half inches and was mass produced compared to the collectors piece that was Mourning Charentis. Dubbed 'Noble Supersoldier' the figurine failed to find greater meaning or purpose and just serves as a generic (but popular) commercial product right at the cusp of the wars end. As of a result, evacuation shuttles had these figurines packed in luggage in droves, as it was a hot commodity during the time. While by far not the most popular, the time of its production secured it a spot in galactic presense. She seems to wear purple silks with rose colored mechanical apparatus. Rumors have it, other figurines exist, but too rare to find by chance. | |

Charentis's story is not a happy one. From the beginning she was indoctrinated in the years before the Saiyan-Tuffle War as tensions rose, being cultivated from infancy by Tuffle Scientists. The Tuffles were a great and intelligent people, with the TAS at the time spearheading logistical uncertainties by beginning projects to counteract things that may never come to pass. It was in this time, the time that Planet Vegeta was called Planet Plant that Charentis would be born naturally but taken into a laboratory environment. The circumstances all occurred before a time the child had even imprinted, leaving researchers working on her genetics as the people she saw in a parental light. The entire project was relatively trivial at the time, one shady dealing leading to just another act of science. It wasn't like Charentis lived a bad life. When she wasn't in a machine or getting chemicals injected into her, she actually had just about everything a kid could want. After all, while there were concerns about the future Tuffles hoped she and many other projects they'd been developing would never have to be used.
They didn't want a war, even if the Saiyans- as savage as they were stumbled upon Planet Plant and hid in all of its crevices.
She was an abnormal and energetic kid, thriving in one of the more successful Polar North settlements on the planet. Given the military direction of her life, her schooling was expedited with mandatory extracurricular activities and home schooling (by scientists, no less). She was rigorously taught the basics of life at an extremely young age, doubling the pace at which most Tuffles went through school. In fact, she graduated from a high school equivalent at around ten years old- she could've been faster, but she wasn't necessarily the brightest young mind the Tuffle Military had their hands on. She was infamous where she did go to school however, as during her first ten years her augmentations and whatnot while subtle were noticeable as an oddity- not direct manipulation. She was bigger and taller than they should be, an exceptionally odd trait to have in Tuffle society.
The moment she graduated, she was signed up to the esteemed Yarvind Military Academy. Her superiors and guardians couldn't use a Supersoldier that had no understanding of combat, and so it was in their best interest to invest in the best possible career path for the young prodigy. Coordinating with the faculty of the military academy, she would be rolled into the academies independent operative training course. This all happened as the TAS started to become more official than ever; The Tuffle Armed Service.
Life at the academy was wonderful for Charentis. After all, putting a budding experimental supersoldier in an environment where competition and combat were large elements of their training naturally caused her to more than excel. She was a popular face among the students there, eventually becoming so popular that she'd have her own little group of fans that followed her around and wanted to be as strong as her. The catch however, was that while the Academy valued prowess in physical aspects, they also demanded a certain cognitive standard and mental prowess as well. That was where she struggled, and that damned blue haired little &%$#! Cerola, the little twerp humiliated her again and again by nailing the tests she always struggled to pass. She often tried to give the Tuffle genius a piece of her mind- but they were kids, and at some point that'd be eight hundred years ago, right? ... Water under the bridge?
Nuance aside, eventually both she and Cerola graduated. Where the nerd went was none of her concern, she was headed for a hot and active frontline. While the Cold War between the Tuffles and Saiyans remained, at the moment she was needed in key locations across the Plant System. She performed various operations as a solo shock trooper, being shot from shock pods into pirate ships to clear them out before they had a chance to cause any trouble. She immediately began to distinguish herself as a Tuffle asset, landing her the distinguished award of having cloning as an option upon death- though option was subjective, she didn't get to decide.
She further cemented her above excellent combat capabilities in helping foreign governments snuff out rebellions, intercepting smugglers and even performing well in joint operations against the occasional giga-massive space monster. It would not be for decades of unstopped growth, physical development and biological augmentation that she would ever go back to Planet Plant for more than a pitstop. However once word from the TSE came in about the Saiyans preparing assets seemingly for war, it became clear that the primitive monkey's sought to try and rebel against them- the very same people that gave them a place to live. She was recalled regardless of if she wanted to or not, boots on the ground in Planet Plant to take part in Operation Lemonade.
With her speed and physical prowess, she was a key player used to hunt down and track various Saiyan outcasts to bring in for research. The logic was sound for the reason, having intelligence on an opponents biological make-up will open the door for technologies to be produced that fundamentally counters a beings physiology. She didn't feel remorse for dragging back the unconscious bodies of Saiyans never to see the light of day again, no matter what form they took. After all, they were the primitive savages that had the audacity to even conceive of the idea to rebel against the hand which fed them land to live in.
When the war started, a 43 year old Charentis would hold nothing back in euthanizing the rabid monkeys. By age forty even, her biological augmentations had actually made her larger than the average Saiyan and startlingly large by Tuffle standards at nearly seven feet tall. She'd outperformed most backdoor forecasts, lasting longer than Tuffle scientists thought she would given the small amount of support given to actually bear her power. Deployed again and again, with hatred in her eyes, a gun in one hand and a knife in the other she mercilessly cut down and shot the monkeys. None survive, none slight the generosity of the Tuffles- do not bite the hand which feeds you.
She came to love putting down mal-compliant swine. The war certainly had an effect on her personality, the classic story of the first kill being lessened in weight on the Tuffle supersoldier due to the brainwashing that Saiyans were monstrous cavemen, unable to express anything complex enough to care about.
She possessed one of the highest single person kill counts during the war, but uncaring to keep track personally she just let the ones with the leash tally up the numbers. It was in the hundreds over the course of her ten years of military service in the Tuffle-Saiyan War, turning the Plant System asset into a full fledged maximally efficient killing machine. Of course it was that routine of ending apes that would serve to undermine her; but her efficiency rose her up to the rank of Major. No flash or flare in death, simply a group of Saiyans got the upper hand on Charentis and... That was it. After a bloody losing battle she was left as a pile of broken bones, twisted limbs and cuts. She was bleeding, disoriented and out of commission. On the bright side, in the throes of death she'd managed to kill her assailants. When she was recovered by the very same researchers that'd made her, it was decided that there was no way to save her current self.
That was where the story became its darkest, entering the insanity of the Tuffle cloning process.
She was euthanized, putting her out of her misery.

When she was recovered by the very same researchers that'd made her, it was decided that there was no way to save her current self.
That was where the story became its darkest, entering the insanity of the Tuffle cloning process.
She was euthanized, putting her out of her misery.
Second Life
The next time she woke up was two years later after her post cloning procedures had been completed. Collapsing out of a vat amidst a pool of preservative fluids. She had the mind of her previous life in the body of an infant, the two polar opposites thrashing about for control. Not able to afford as much time to prepare them again, the procedures got more extreme as the years passed. More chemicals, more machines, more tests. Her death to the Saiyans had filled her with a rage that superseded any potential unethical actions towards her the Tuffle scientists had committed- becoming an afterthought she never even considered.
However again, at the age of 13 before she'd fully developed the Saiyans would break into the cloning facility. At thirteen, 2A was already the size of an adult Saiyan. With their military training, they managed to do a significant numbers on the attackers, but with so many of them she and the entire facility were overrun. That would be the last time she'd ever see Planet Plant, having been raised again and stuck in a lab for years, only to never get a chance to see the surface again. She'd miss home.
Naturally, the full moon came to put an end to the back and forth. The Saiyans practically stomped in the Tuffles overnight, with any survivors evacuating Planet Plant en masse. Unbeknownst to her the esteemed General Cerola was on that ship- but in a way so was she as part of project CONTINENT. Stored in the Master Index, given her particular nature she'd start being cloned on the ship so that by the time they found a place to live, she'd be old enough to function.
Eventually, she would end up on Planet Aspic. Now forced to lay low in order for the Tuffles to rise to their former glory, life was slower but no less difficult. She still was in the military, she still served, and now she hated Saiyans more than one could fathom. They'd taken everything away from them, given a power they didn't deserve via genetic lottery. She'd live ten lives on that Planet. Each one ended in terrible ways. Given there was no longer an immediate threat, often times it was her own body that killed her. Growing so large she could no longer move and had to be euthanized, organ failure as not all parts of her grew at the same rage, cancer from volatile genes, her bones breaking from stress. There was even a point where before the cloning process could finish, a defector shut down the machine and killed off 7B, which then became 7C in another location.
There was only one constant in this time. She was blessed with more than most Tuffles were, being able to be cloned, and thereby saw anyone she'd make connections with eventually die only to not be replaceable from the Master Index. She had far too much time to think, god old far too many times, and felt stuck in place. The Saiyans weren't on Planet Aspic, they were celebrating on Planet Plant... The constant, regardless, was that Tuffle researchers on Planet Aspic finally designed the Charentis Facility.
Given the leaps and bounds multiple iterations of her genomes had achieved, it was decided that Project Charentis would be a continuation of the 1A created decades ago before the Tuffle-Saiyan War. The entire laboratory was filled with vats to explore different sub-types of Charentis, ones which thankfully she didn't have burden her consciousness. They all took secondary priority to the deemed 'true' consciousness and memories of Charentis, effectively meaning should any emergency happen she'd be the first to get cloned. Her name became less of a name and more about the initiative of creating biological supersoldiers to rival Saiyans for purposes of their complete and utter eradication. With a lot more time to spare, researchers could really dig deep and make significant advancements as well.
It wasn't until the defector jammed her cloning machine that her mind snapped. Two generations followed that ended in a Psychological Breakdown, events that impacted the Charentis Project for the worst given how dangerous it was deemed she could potential be if handled incorrectly. The memories of many lives combined with the unstable interjected consciousness from states of mind that aren't fully conscious put her mind for a loop, manifesting a particularly unstable persona that defaulted as stoic in nature. Yet the most important thing, her hatred for the Saiyan Race still remained.
That would be of course, if they had a chance.
Planet Aspic just... One day suddenly blew up. Of course, intelligence had warned them ahead of time there were powerful forces nearby on the neighbouring Planet. All of the most valuable Tuffles that could not be cloned easily (such as those augmented with advanced Cybernetics) were taken to that very same planet. On one of the later flotillas, a young (five year old) Charentis would not be among those that could evacuate in time.
And once more they were reduced to ashes. But as part of the Master Index, a fragment of Planet Aspec was hurled into an orbit around the neighbouring planet. Years passed, as reserve generators powered the chunk of Planet Aspic where The Charentis Facility was located. Swirling around and around, eventually it would enter the atmosphere and propel downwards. Sailing closer and closer, any rock or brittle material would be burned away, leaving only the extremely tough metal that the laboratory was made of intact. Thankfully the place was built like a vault, as when it impacted into the side of a mountain and was covered in a landslide, all of the more fragile vats shattered and spilled their contents onto the ground.
And so began decades, centuries of rot. The Master Index received erroneous reports from the foreign site. Unreleased clones of Charentis grew and died in vats, crushing themselves within the hardy vats at a certain point. Their consciousness was hazy, spotty, and the harsh circumstances being upkept by a very efficient and technologically advanced generator was all that kept them from truly seeing the end of their life that until the destruction of Planet Aspic had been seemingly indefinitely extendable with cloning technology.
And so her circumstance was simple. A vat, deep down in a mountain. All power diverted to maintaining the single vat that she was in, unable to be released without manual intervention. She still had around... Thirty or so years, as after this vat was filled with a bloated corpse that'd crushed itself like dozens before it, there was only a dinky cracked vat that might do half as good a job. She'd need recovery soon, and thus the facility continued to forward Error reports to the Master Index as diagnostics were completely offline and the signal was spotty being within the mountain.
Though if someone cared, there was enough to find their way to the Facility.
