Name: Calcula Pudden, Moneyman, Zeni-stacker, Unlimited Casherino Guy.
Species: Human
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Played By: NPC.
Faction: The Momentum Corporation
Suggested WMAT Brackets: Regular Division, Journeyman Division.
Appearance:
Calcula Pudden, a sparkling individual that wears his zeni proudly. For the most part he's relatively Human in appearance, a ginger (orange haired) Human Earthling standing at a rather average five foot nine. His build is nothing particularly worth mentioning, lean and toned at best and average at worst. However what sets him apart from his compatriots is style, and he goes all out with style. It was early on that to show his dedication to the zeni buck, he got a gold fixing on his teeth reading 'ZENI'. Yet aside from giving him his signature gleaming proud grin, it mostly just makes him come off as a big of a thug. Needless to say his 'style' doesn't quite end there, sporting a black and white striped coat with a golden yellow lining. The gold unfortunately doesn't stop there however, as he wears two golden rings on each finger- if there's a way, he finds it.
Furthermore to complete his little look he has a dapper little rose colored bow tie, a white underlying suit jacket and some nice squeaky white dress shoes. He also happens to wear glasses, but that's genuinely because he's near sighted- though he did disregard contact lenses because they weren't cool enough, so perhaps there's some fanciness in the lenses after all.
And it wouldn't be Calcula without the culmination of all of his calculations- zeni. He often goes around with his pockets stuffed, and he has a lot of pockets. How did he even make it into the World Martial Arts Tournament? On top of being a company representative, he was one of their more formidable fighters after he got jumped more times than he wanted to count- eventually he got pretty strong! Needless to say he's practically leaking fat zeni stacks! Also carries them in his hands, for self defense purposes.
Face Claim: Kaneo Takarada (Kill la Kill)
Artist: Studio Trigger.
Personality:
Zeni is a good spirit animal for Calcula, who would've thought? The paper bills represent just about everything about his character through what it can be used for, but not everything zeni represents is reflected in him. He is a man surprisingly of integrity, compassion and selflessness- sure the golden rings and teeth disagree, but at the end of the day he seeks to help others through the money he makes.
To that end, his drive to make a difference in peoples lives have lead him down the path of leadership, and he's known as a tolerant and energetic voice of reason that has a knack of thinking up innovative and outside of the box ideas. He manages to surprisingly always keep an optimistic disposition regardless of how he's feeling, understanding that he's fortunate to be in his position, and that things could be much worse even when he's having a bad day.
Of course, that optimism doesn't always lead to ignorance, but he looks to put on a front of being a bit of a moron if it means giving people a laugh at his own expense. He tries to be empathetic, spinning his nonsense in ways that wouldn't genuinely offend anyone as best he could. Ultimately that's part of the reason he wanted to attend the World Martial Arts Tournament, as it was an opportunity for him to reach out and make connections that allow him to help in greater ways across the world.
After all, as part of The Momentum Tower's renaissance financial accounting branch- the lead of it even, he makes quite a lot to go around to those truly in need.

History:
Calcula was already a pretty bright kid. Born smack dab in South City, he had access to a modern advanced education and a proper schooling system, where he seemed to express an affinity for numbers at an early age. He often had stories about his teachers making nicknames about him like, 'moneyman' or, 'zeniguy' after his third grade mathematics class had largely focused around features that relied on accounting skills.
Of course, he wasn't just a numerical brainiac. His home life was a little tough, and his parents were hard working but had lower end jobs that didn't pay all too well. He knew early on that he wanted to pursue a career that could alleviate that financial pressure that he felt even as a child. He remember growing up hearing stories about high paying jobs in the Pilaf Corporation and Capsule Corp, but the big jobs were mostly overseas, limiting his possibilities severely.
Momentum Financial had always existed- since he was born, at least, but it only started making a ruckus and headlines when he was in his senior year at high school. At the time he was working at a restaurant as a dishwasher, and needless to say his affinity (which hadn't faded) with mathematics didn't really come into play there. In fact, he only got singled out when he was carried away talking about interesting mathematical equations and applications in the real word.
He took that as an opportunity to give the company a shot. He wasn't really qualified, but a shot not taken was always a shot missed. When he applied for Momentum Financial, he would however surprisingly get into an interview. It didn't go much farther than that however, as a portly Human Earthling acted as the branch manager at the time, and Bass was only an employee making calls back then. Yet he remembered the day he got stopped in the hall on his way out of the building, how it felt when the Namekian's hand tightened around his shoulder.
At first it was a little bit of fear, this guy was massive! He also was incredibly out of place in the building- regardless, his words rekindled a dying flame inside of Calcula, reinvigorating him to at least not give up.
"Don't worry kid. As long as you try your best, good things will come. Don't give up."
Finishing up high school a couple of years later, the days would bleed into weeks and months. He considered college, at a huge turning point in his life. However now old enough to get the job he couldn't get before, the Black Heart Namekian's voice rang in his head. It was an oddly... Heroic quote to give in a scummy office that catered to companies financial accounts, but still... There was something that kept him thinking about it.
Still, he reasonably chose post secondary education. The job availability was abundant with the proper credentials, and he needed to secure his career- not just the next bill. He didn't think Momentum Financial would really kick off, but surprisingly that would change.
An early call at eight in the morning was followed by the voice of that Namekian guy he hadn't even heard the name of. "Hey kid, you should apply again."
As soon as he'd heard that, the line went dead. To be honest, he was a little unsettled about it at first- but the Namekian wasn't exactly normal when he'd first met him a few years ago either. It was enough to at least make him apply for a part time job to assist his university studies, and unlike the last time, this time the hiring process seemed incredibly simple.
Did the Namekian do something? He wasn't the branch manager, but he did look scary. He found himself hired a day after his telephone interview, and a mere 3 days after first submitting his application.
What came next was his career at Momentum Financial, and the camaraderie shown in that quaint building gave him hope. Unlike what it looked like from the outside, he quickly found out as he was pulled into the circle that everyone there were good friends. Late night dinners, karaoke, it was hilarious seeing the big and tough looking Namekian singing the embarrassing idol songs his coworkers picked for him, though he did it with the same pride he did most things with.
Yet life went forward, and so to did the company. In recent years the company had had a complete restructuring, and his new boss quickly became the Namekian he'd met all those years ago- by no coincidence, he was sure.
So why the swag, gold teeth, bling and expensive clothes? Well... Those were a little more than they appeared to be. The teeth were slip-ons over his natural ones, and everything else could simply be removed. He liked making his coworkers laugh just like the man he'd discovered was named Bass. Stupid faces, fun parties, work can be too bleak and grey to not be silly wherever possible. So while he often was a rather modest presence in the office getting things done, he sparked to life when any sort of informal or semi-formal gathering was announced.
Most recently, his dedication to helping others and trying to lighten up the atmosphere was... Rewarded? Whether or not a promotion was good or not was subjective, but he found himself suddenly as the head of Momentum Tower's renaissance financial accounting team, giving him the privilege of continuing the legacy he'd heard of almost a decade ago by that point.
Though like many people that Bass hired and placed his trust in, he had more noble goals than staying cooped up in the building. A favor here, a question there, and before he knew it a sponsored invitation to the World Martial Arts Tournament was between his fingers.
For better or worse he'd gotten himself some screen time in one of the worlds biggest sensations- and this one was going to be bigger than ever, since it was a sudden return. He hoped he did well, but it wasn't really about winning for him. He'd use all of the experience he gained from Bass to do his best though.
He just wondered if his best would be enough, there were a lot of people he wanted to reach there.

Prey on the Weak - Your attacks targeting an opponent currently suffering from the “Wound” or “Cripple” status effects reduce their target’s Ki by 5 if they hit.
