{ } Name: Maxine (UN-11) Species: Android (Biotechnological, Drain Type) Age: 31 (years since activation) Gender: Female Played By: Tulf Appearance:Standing at just 5’ (152cm), Maxine is a little short for a seemingly Earthling lady – however, with the context of being an android intended to serve the nobles of the Pig Demon Duchies, she didn’t really have a chance to call herself 'tall' anyway given the competition. With a slim and trim figure as well as a cold demeanour, she seems like a natural professional… but, her violet hair and matching eye colour can undermine this look a little bit. Internally, her body is a mix of artificial organic components and fine electronic wetware, making her appear and seem to be an earthling even down to her standard body heat; but if wounded her true nature will be clear, particularly due to her white-coloured blood-imitating energy propagation fluid. Typically, Maxine wears a tightly-fitted but simple black suit, befitting of her role as a bodyguard and keeping her separate for her usual clients’ oriental fashions – makes her easily visible, and keeps her from competing with her superior for the spotlight. However, she often ends up changing her look to fit her clients’ preferences; though she prefers to keep things practical and professional. Of note, she wears a Scouter-like eyepatch over her right eyes while on the job – this is an augment to make up for critical damage her eye took long ago, which she has been unable to get fixed unlike most of her injuries due to its complicated nerve imitation wetware. Face Claim: Myoukou (Aoki no Hoki Arpeggio) as UN-11, Ashigara (Aoki no Hoki Arpeggio) as UN-02 Artist: Aoki Shizumi/Isoukunkan Personality:Be polite. Be professional. Get results. Your client is your world. These are the tenants of Maxine’s role… which, admittedly, she is not always so good at following. Though she can put on the airs of being calm and cool, even in tense moments, in truth the lady is a bit of a mess whenever she is left to her own devices. She’ll be polite, and she’ll be professional; but she’ll probably be freaking out in her mind over whether or not her current client noticed her cravat being the wrong way around or if they heard her favourite rap album coming from her headphones on her way into work. She’s certainly skilled, and she’s certainly experienced, but… she still isn’t comfortable with herself. While she aims to place her personal feelings aside given she generally works for the Pig Demon Duchies who are not particularly known for their admirable ethics, Maxine has a soft heart when it comes to those who do reach through her professional demeanour. She is easily flustered in particular, especially when called out on those little faults she worries so much about, or if interrogated about her hobbies or personal life – she finds it all abysmally embarrassing; especially as she feels compared to the dignified nobility she often works with. But, she appreciates that sort of attention, even if she’s not used to it. Perhaps befitting of her role as a bodyguard-come-butler, Maxine takes no pleasure in battle – she’d really rather avoid it if she can, since it usually leads to her taking painful injuries. She spends more time than she’d like nursing her various injuries, in spite of her race, due to her older model. When she does find time to herself, she enjoys working on her domestic skills, listening to music, and – though she’d never admit it – playing video games. Likes: Listening to clients, cleaning, cooking, cute girls, rap music Dislikes: Field repairs, unnecessary risks, Saiyans, cute girls in Giant Form, storms { } History:Once upon a time, the works of Doctor Unid were considered luxuries – android servants which might not be comparable to the iconic battle models of times past, but were still efficient and useful; particular as they were marketed towards demons who rarely had the time and patience for paperwork and domestic tasks that such androids were ideal for. While some of his creations were made for general use, most of his designs were custom made for clients – Unid Number XI was among the latter. An android built as a bodyguard and personal assistant, for the honourable Duke Blues, a prominent stakeholder in the Hotel Z and its iconic casinos. One century later, she was actually completed and dispatched to the Duke’s family. The Duke’s insistence on a full emotion suite, OS-emulation systems, and pseudo-organic internal systems had cost a very pretty penny – and even more in time, particularly in self-diagonostics before she could be fully activated. For her time, UN-11 would have been impressive, but by the time she was put to work she was already feeling her age compared to other androids of the time. Though she was still employed by the family, she was soon replaced by a Saiyan who'd risen up the ranks instead instead: her purchase had been a whim from the start rather than a serious choice. So, UN-11 – now having been given the name of ‘Maxine’ by her original master – became an asset passed around the Pig Demon Duchies’ hierarchy. For some, a genuine assistant; but for many, a novelty. But, this was what she made for, and thus she had no complaints. Over the next few years, her novelty wore off, and her positions fell lower and lower in the Duchies’ ranks. She was an old model now; well and truly. While she struggled to admit it, the truth came to meet her instead – her inbuilt recall system kicked in, and she obediently followed her programming to return to her creator for an update… or, more likely, termination. But, it’d been too long. There was no laboratory left, and no Doctor Unid left. Only the old servers and spare parts that hadn’t been scavenged or already sold off, long ago. She was out of date, and now out of time. An existential prospect for a consumer-grade android. “You’re a demon, remember? We don’t care about stuff like fate~“A concept Maxine could never have considered came from the mouth of her young client when she returned. Maybe it’d just been a terrible excuse to get Maxine to focus on her work again, or an idle remark from an inattentive demon; but it shook her deeply. For once, she thought about the future – and the future encrypted in those servers she’d seen on the market. The plans and stories of her successors were stashed away in them… perhaps, she could build her own future, like those she’d served for so long. Despite their obnoxious encryption, the servers came at a ludicrous price – the negatives of dealing with markets of demons. She’d made her desperation too obvious, and so the price was jacked up exponentially right in front of her eyes. Thankfully, her owning family at the time was willing to give her a loan… but, Maxine knew all too well that she’d be paying that off for a century to come. Yet… it was nice to have a purpose, anyway. And so, the consumer-grade android who has past her prime continues working, albeit more independently than before – so long as she can dredge out a little more of her potential every year, she feels she can justify her own existence. If nothing else, she wants to pay back the ones that gave her that second chance… perhaps others call them demons, but she calls them family. RP Sample:“Yes, understood. I’ll have the accounts organised by the end of the week. I can assure you there will be no delays. I’ve already finished balancing your portfolio, and I’ve accounted for the – unforeseen profit margins. Your numbers were really quite easy to work with, thanks to your employee records, so I assure you that there will be no… clerical concerns.”
Violet eyes scanned the spreadsheets on her tablet – ah, if only every job could be as easy as covering up laundering. It was so much neater than outright burglary, and it felt good to clean the numbers up just right. No doubt other androids could do these calculations faster, but… this work took a little bit of creativity. A little bit of flair. She liked that.
“Ah, your daughter’s kimono, sir? You needn’t sound so concerned. I’ve had a lot of experience with such fabric. Yes, by hand. Pressed, air dried, smoothed, and ironed – low heat, of course. I’ve folded it in rice paper too – I’d recommend it for the future. No, free of charge. It was my pleasure.”
And it was, too. It was a gorgeous number – it was so sad to see it stained with that much blood. So, after she’d cleaned up the, ah, immediate issue, she’d taken it home herself and gone to such lengths. It deserved it. A wondrous reed design, and easily over half a century old, too… and, well, the young heir had worn it so well. S-She was a bit jealous, to be honest.
“That’s already been handled too. After the meeting in the evening the day before, I returned to your estate as promised; and I handled my duties there as well. Your staff were very helpful; please give them my regards for their assistance. A-Ah, and yes, your bird of paradise was flowering quite spectacularly, I agree! I made sure to water it well, so you can rest easy. No, it’s quite alright – just another part of the job.”
These distant noble types were always a pleasure to work with – they were always so pleased by the little touches; the attention to detail. Personal assistants and conglomerate heads; they tended to just want the job done. Not that Maxine had any issues with being pragmatic, but… she liked to go a little bit above. That was one perk her experience had. And, it really was a gorgeous plant, anyway; she wasn’t just sucking up. Not this time, anyway. When she was… well, that was a professional secret.
“…H-Huh? Y-Your daughter? U-Um, yes, I-I can talk to her – i-if you’d like, sir. Y-Yes sir, I’m okay! It’s just – e-erk! It’s fine! Put her on!”
Unfortunately, no amount of cheap spare parts could save her from this – s-she just wasn’t good at dealing with girls! Not girls like her, a-anyway. Erk, but, business was business, a-and she was a nice girl! As nice as a demon with a body count to her name could be, anyway. N-No, actually, admittedly, that was kind of…
“Y-Yes! Young miss – eh? ‘Ojou-sama’? Understood… in that case, let me begin again. It is good to hear from you, ojou-sama. Ah… you’re too kind. But, to answer your first question – I’m doing fine. I appreciate your concern, but I assure you, this is all part of my line of work. I wish you the best, too. W-Well, I’ll be sure to remember that in future… i-if I ever meet another young lady of y-your… c-calibre. ‘Ojou-sama’… I’ll keep it in mind. Thank you, as always; it has been my pleasure.”
Phew. Survived in one piece. But, being given dating tips from a client was a new one. She didn’t care for fraternisation, of course! But, she’d already written down the term before she finished that thought; and didn’t feel particularly compelled to tear it up straight away. I-It could be useful in pleasing a client in the future, o-of course. She was just being professional. It would be incomparably rude to ruin valuable intelligence!
“Yes, I’m still here, sir. I agree – she’s quite capable. I was surprised how well she handled herself that night. It has been an honour to work with your family; they have clearly earned their reputation. No, that’s not an exaggeration – or part of the job. It’s merely being polite. Ah, but I thank you for your kind words in turn, of course.
---Hm?
Oh? My arm?”
A question she didn’t expect, this time.
“…You needn’t think about that, sir. I'm just a machine.”
The minced synthetic flesh was still wrapped in bandages, sitting on her lap – she’d only just reattached it. It’d be a day or so before the cuts disappeared… it was a wonder she’d found most of the pieces. She hated having to commission new parts – she loathed the production company. So many questions… she was just a machine. It didn’t matter. So long as it fit and it functioned, that was enough.
The cauterised joint still stung with pain now and then, but that sensation would fade in a few hours. She didn’t like to use valuable adrenaline shots on such routine fixes, so she just learnt to bear with it. She’d probably save that for when she reconnected her left eye again – that was always particularly messy business. They must have been a professional, if they knew to shove a knife through her eye socket… what an embarrassment. If she hadn’t been an android, that would have been…
“Yes, we can settle the payment at the end of the week. It will just be the usual rate, I assure you. Thank you again, sir. I hope you enjoy your vacation, too. Until next time.”
But, she could bear with such pains. Such repairs weren’t pleasant, but they were certainly doable. After all, this was one thing she was sure she had over newer models…
She was replaceable.

Cost: 15 ki Limit: Once per thread Rank: 3 WILD ATTACK LOCK-ONUsing the visor for her damaged eye, Maxine temporarily allocates more of her processes to her target tracking and aim coordination. While practical, using this function gradually burns out her eye’s optics; forcing her to eventually shut it down rather relying on it constantly.Type: Utility Action: At-Will Effect: Generate 1 Instinct per 1 Ki paid, up to 8 instinct generated per technique use. Each stack of Instinct may provide +2 to your accuracy for the next three turns or +10 accuracy for the next three turns if you spend 4 stacks of Instinct. Cost: 1 per Instinct generated. Limit: Once per thread. Rank: 3 TELEPORT JUMP-DRIVEMimicking the teleportation used by ki-users, Maxine shifts several metres with a surge of uncontrolled electricity and excruciating pain.Type: Defence Action: Standard Action - Reactive Effect: You immediately avoid all attacks and utility techniques that would have hit you this turn, including critical hits. You may use this technique to flee the current thread. Cost: 20 ki Limit: Once per battle. Rank: 3 ENERGY CONSTRUCTS SPARK LINERActivating the ‘Spark Liner’ AI assistance module’s main functionality, Maxine lends power to the small platelets that make up the machine. They can then offer a variety of independent defensive and utility options to their host under the guidance of her surrogate AI, UN-02.Type: Utility Action: Bonus Action/At-Will to use Constructs Effect: Energy Construct is activated as a Bonus Action and grants 6 Energy Constructs. As an At-Will Action, you may spend a single construct for an effect listed below. You may use at-wills from this technique more than once in a given turn. --Give +10 to a single Accuracy roll on your turn. One per attack. --Gain +2 bonus damage for a single attack you make. Two per attack max. --Add an additional +15% chance to inflict a status effect for a single attack or item on your turn that has one already. The max chance to inflict with any effect is 95%. One per attack. --As a reaction you gain +5 Defense against all attacks. One per turn. --As a reaction you gain 2 DR against all attacks during turn. One per turn. Cost: 15 ki Limit: Once per thread. You may only have one set of Energy Constructs active at a time. Rank: 3 PAPARAPAPA FULL DIVEActivating the full potential of the ‘Spark Liner’ AI assistance module, Maxine’s on-board supplementary AI ‘Two’ manifests as a holographic energy construct. While the ‘Spark Liner’ still runs as normal, Two is then capable of acting as an independent body to Maxine, albeit temporarily.Type: Utility Action: Bonus Action / At-will to order sidekick Effect: You create a Sidekick to fight alongside you. You can only equip or summon one sidekick per battle. As an At-Will Action your sidekick can take one action listed below: --Make a melee or energy attack with a +30 modifier that deals 1d6 damage. --Use a common item: Can be grenade or an item that targets an ally that you have in your inventory (may not be an ‘Equipped’ item.) --Increase the damage of 1 Special Technique used on this turn by +1d6. --As a Reactive Action, the sidekick can take a hit for you and has 25 HP. Any damage that exceeds its HP is dealt to you and any status effects are inflicted upon the sidekick instead of you. The sidekick can no longer be used after taking any damage. After learning this tech, Magic Materialization no longer takes a slot. Cost: 5 ki Limit: One sidekick may be summoned per thread. The Sidekick created by Paparapapa may take 4 total actions per thread. Rank: 3 MAGIC MATERIALIZATION L’ETRANGEROpening her briefcase, Maxine collects just what she needs for the mission at hand. While she personally likes to leave it to people’s imaginations, in truth the tool simply uses a version of the M.O.M. transportation technology.Type: Utility Action: At-Will Effect: You create a Common or Rare item and equip it in the place of another item or in an empty slot. You may use this to replace an ally’s equipped item rather than your own. The materialized item goes away at the end of battle. You can also materialize items you have in your inventory (not equipped.) You cannot create a Sidekick item. Cost: 2x Ki, wherein X is equal to the zenni cost of the desired item divided by 10,000(rounded to the next largest whole number). If you have the item in your inventory it is a flat 2 ki for common items and 3 ki for rare items. Limit: Twice per thread. Rank: 3 COUNTERMEASURES OVERCLOCKPreparing emergency capacitors and partitioning her processing, Maxine sets aside power in order to call upon it in tight, reflexive situations. Inspired by defensive-offensive martial arts philosophies, she dedicates part of her parallel processes to purely defensive options while she has the energy reserved for such actions; affording her a considered defensive choice regardless of the flow of combat.Type: Defence Action: Bonus Action Effect: You gain 2 stacks of "Countermeasure". Stacks of "Countermeasure" may be used as a Reactive At-Will action to reduce Reactive Standard Actions you use to Reactive Bonus Actions, and Reactive Bonus Actions to Reactive At-Will Actions. Each stack used applies to only one Action and must target an action used in the same turn you used that stack of "Countermeasure". Cost: 15 Limit: Once per thread. Cannot be ranked up. FEINT DECOY FLARESReacting to an enemy technique targeting her in close-quarters or from afar; Maxine deploys a set of magnesium pyrotechnics from her shoulders and forearms to dazzle and distract the aggressor. Releasing bright lights and smoke, these flares are short-lived but give her plenty of cover to evade and reposition when used.Type: Defence Action: Standard Action - Reactive Effect: You avoid 1 attack, utility technique, or grenade targeting you on this turn; this does not work against Critical Hits. Cost: 15 Limit: Twice per thread, once per turn. Cannot be ranked up. BO YING; REPLAY SIDE HANDUnlocking her reactor’s safeties and drawing upon emergency capacitors, Maxine deploys a thin wire from her right wrist which then routes a torrent of electricity in order to nullify energy attacks or fry the nerves of melee assailants. Usually, she will catch an attack or drawn weapon in this wire and deliver the shock from there; but she can output it as raw electricity from the wire’s tip as well to handle ranged attacks. While exceptionally painful for the android and wasteful of her energy, it does also overcharges Maxine temporarily and puts her in an ideal position for a counterattack. Some of the excess energy can be redirected to restore some of her compatible equipment or similar capabilities, as well.Type: Defensive Action: Standard Action - Reactive Base Damage: 4d6+4+DM Signature Effect: Smoothed Edge Major Effect: Embolden Minor Effect: Artifice Mastery Effect: Remove one Status Effect from yourself. Cost: 15 ki Limit: Two uses per thread. Learn: 2 weeks and 2500 words spent learning it from the Shinobu Clan. HELÜ, CHI, SHĀ SHǑU; THREE KINGS BEFORE HEAVENThe one martial arts technique that Maxine holds in great respect; albeit recreated using ki blasts and bullets – a technique designed to methodically render the victim defenceless. A martial art with no artistry; it was originally created by a Crane School artist long ago, but was later denounced by their modern members and since forgotten. While hardly forbidden or priceless, now only killers find value in it. The user first throws a pair of energy blasts akin to Destructo Disks, but with the intention for them to be deflected by being parried, blocked, or ricochet, as they are maintained rather than allowed to dissipate after impacting. As they are thrown aside, a second pair are fired or simply swung by the user as they close in on the target, only for the original pair to home back around and hit simultaneously from behind. Finally, a reckless close-quarters attack is used on the target before they can update their defence to handle a third angle of attack – though, in Maxine’s case, this means emptying her current firearm at point blank rather than using a melee weapon.Type: Signature Energy Ranged Finisher Action: Standard Action Base Damage: 6d8+15 Signature Effect: Homing Major Effect: Embolden Minor Effect: Wounding Mastery Effect: +5 Accuracy, +2 Damage Cost: 35 ki Limit: One use per thread. Learn: 2 weeks and 2500 words spent learning it from the Shinobu Clan. SIGHTHOUNDResponding to a command keyphrase on their dedicated communications frequency, the Azure Dragoons’ Advanced Recon and Tactical Support (ARTS) Platoon mobilises to offer fire support as fast as possible. Though the kind of backup depends on the situation and the troops available in the area, their work in response to this type of call is a swift hit-and-run surgical strike rather than the prolonged support offered by the World Government’s OSEB. Examples of their support includes already on-site sniper teams for smaller scale situations, to high-speed single aircraft airstrikes, all the way up to extreme-range railgun artillery. Lightning-speed drone strikes are the most common option, though, as they are usable even when personnel are totally unavailable or impractical.Type: Signature – Single, Ranged, Energy Action: Standard Action Base Damage: 4d10+5 Signature Effect: Wide-Striking (Roll 2 d100s for accuracy) Major Effect: Slashing (Crits on 75+, deals +4 damage on crit) Minor Effect: Wounding (40% to Wound) Cost: 15 ki Limit: One use per thread. Learn: 2 weeks and 2500 words spent learning it from an Azure Dragoons’ member or tactics school. INSTANT TRANSMISSIONStreamlining her jump drive by locking onto a single ki signature; Maxine breaches the teleportation zone before slingshotting back into the material world and directly to a location near her target in an instant. Due to this use of the zone rather than direct teleportation, it places far less strain on Maxine, offers a far higher range, and is extremely difficult to detect even by ki masters.Type: Legendary Defensive/Utility Action: Bonus Action – Reactive / Bonus Action Effect: When using this technique, you may decide if you are using it as a Defensive Technique or a Utility Technique. If used as a Defensive Technique, avoid all attacks (including criticals) targeting you this turn. If used as a Utility Technique, increase the critical hit range of 1 attack used on your turn by 20. Cost: 15 ki Limit: Defensive variation may be used once per thread. Utility variation may be used twice per thread. Special: Once per week, you may instantly travel to another region without any requirements(though you must still make a travel post simply stating that you are moving). Rank: 3 { } Equipment Slots: 11/11 Weapon Slots: 3/3 Outfit Slots: 2/2 Name: Red Ribbon Power Armor Prototype Azure Dragoon Responder Armour Original image from Resident Evil: Revelations 2 An advanced armor prototype designed by elusive Tuffle Scientists, combined with the updated technology and application from the Research & Development staff of the ‘Azure Dragoons’ PMC. Combining concepts from both the Golden Gate Tactical Gear and the far heavier Golden Gate Power Armour, this battle dress uniform uses Maxine’s own energy and robotics in place of the internal servomotors and power supply of the latter design to build upon the lighter former design; allowing for greater mobility and freedom of movement at only a small expense of protection.Type: Outfit Zeni Value: 20,000 Zeni Cost: --- Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your maximum HP by +20 and gain +2 DR while wearing this outfit. You may use 'Intercept' one additional time per battle. Limit: None. Name: Champion's Gi Wetware Variable Armour System mk.4 A modern update of Maxine’s original exterior hardware and pseudo-nerve system, sacrificing raw defensive strength for considerably upgraded wetware processing. This greatly increases her reaction time and allows more direct interfacing with her armour of choice in order to adapt to combat scenarios, so that she can use evasion rather than hoping that her aging frame can endure damage. However, it does come at a cost of endurance, as the frame sacrifices material strength for this system.Type: Outfit - Gi Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Passive Effect: At the beginning of your turn, you may choose 1 of the following Effects: You gain +10 Defense this turn(applied before incoming attack resolution), you gain +15 Accuracy with all Basic Techniques this turn, or you gain +15 Accuracy with a single Special Technique used this turn. Limit: 1 bonus applied per turn. Name: Blaster Carbine Mk 27 HAMR Custom, ‘STROBELITE’ An extremely modular energy-based assault rifle that mimics the design of archaic projectile weapons of the same class; briefly popular among the military and later common in the private sector. However, advancements in personal shielding technology made it fall out of use, particularly due to its issues with overheating and small battery sizes. Maxine’s has been overhauled to make use of her android energy to partly make up for this battery issue, though she mostly appreciates it for its countless attachments that allow it to take on a variety of roles. She also stocks a few ‘hotshot’ batteries that overcharge the weapon’s energy fire; albeit at the cost of making that overheating problem rear its head again.Type: Weapon Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform on this turn deal 2d8+2 base damage. Limit: 3 uses per thread. Name: Phaser Ring Snake Way Ergal 5’ Magnum Custom, ‘STYLO’ A 3D-printed stainless steel autorevolver that had a limited production run in 1145; originally intended to fit into Capsule Corp’s military market – but, the weapon’s recoil and weight made it woefully unpopular compared to the vastly more practical energy weapons available. Notable for its distinctive modern look and hexagonal cylinder, it only found success amongst collectors. Maxine’s was a gift to her from her second owner; and has been customised extensively since then: ergo grip, 3-dot sight, extended safety, micro laser sight, pseudo-katchin bullets, blued finish, and more.Type: Weapon - Hidden Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: At-Will Effect: Activating Phaser Ring performs a Ranged Energy Blast attack. This attack may not Critically Hit or Critically Miss its target and is not modified by your Traits or Class Features in any way. This Energy Blast does not cost any ki. Limit: 4 uses per thread. Name: Hidden Weapon Tungsten-Alloy Coil Wide-Bore Blaster, 'DARE' A hidden energy weapon incorporated into Maxine’s exoskeleton. Though constrained by her design, she has managed to fit a shotgun-esque energy cannon within her left forearm; albeit with only two shots to its name and particularly messy reloading process.Type: Weapon - Hidden Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Strikes and Energy Blasts performed on this turn treat their targets as though their Reflex Skill was 0 for the purposes of calculating their Defense against those attacks; additionally, treat the target of those attacks as if their Natural DR were reduced by half, rounded up to the nearest whole number. Limit: 2 uses per thread. Name: Concussive Flashbang A flashbang that has it's effects amplified with special nanotechnology to increase the effect of the item.Type: Grenade Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Target up to three opponents; those opponents have a 60% chance to be afflicted with the Blind status effect. The max chance to afflict any Status Effect is 95%. Limit: 2 uses per thread. Name: Destron Gas Destron β Strain A modified strain of Destron Gas designed by Pilaf Corporation and later refined by the Azure Dragoons, now weaponised in a grenade. While it has similar effects to the standard strain, it is a more efficient strain for fusing into alloys which allows for alternative delivery systems, compared to the original's gas-only version. Regardless of its changes, its ruinous effect on ki-users is as vile as always.Type: Grenade Zeni Value: 20,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Target one opponent; that opponent has a 35% chance to be afflicted by Stun, Freeze, and Poison(each rolled separately.) If even a single Status Effect is successfully inflicted by Destron Gas, reduce that opponent’s Base Power Level by 15% for the remainder of the thread. Limit: 2 uses per thread. A character’s Base PL Loss is capped at 50%. Name: Modern Scouter A device first used by the Tuffles and later co-opted by others, this device allows its wearer to judge the strength of opponents and their attacks using numeric values via a display piece. This model was enhanced by the ‘Azure Dragoons’ PMC to also act as a personal combat HUD, and has been connected to a direct feed into Maxine’s AI network – instead of appearing as a visor, it is internally rigged into the android’s network. While in use, it reduces her eye image’s resolution to reveal a more clearly LED-based display.Type: Supplementary - Technology Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Passive Effect: The first five (5) times you use your Sense basic technique in battle, you may use it instead as a Reactive At-Will action. Limit: None. Name: TTM Cards - 'Techniques the Martialing Shinobu Hatsuka Analysis Memory Core A portable data core filled with information from the Shinobu Clan's hired dojo on Hatsuka's fighting style; using biometrics and 360 vision to give a full image of her methodology. Using this information, Maxine is capable of using her own versions of her techniques. However, she is totally reliant on this data - without it, she lacks the experience to even imitate these actions.Type: Supplementary - Totem Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Passive Effect: Upon equipping this item, select any two (2) techniques (Countermeasures, Feint). You may use those techniques as if you possessed them, as long as you meet their requirements. This may not cause a character to exceed 10 techniques at a time, and may not be used to grab signature or legendary techniques. Limit: None. Name: Honour Guard Masumi A large long-furred husky adopted by Maxine from her the Shinobu yakuza family, usually clad in a black canine BDU while on field work or just a black eye-patch when on less tense occasions. Trained to be guard dog and a status symbol, Masumi has found a new life as a genuine pet and compatriot for his new owner. After causing a violent ruckus while in the Shinobu family’s care, he has been equipped with some internal electronics making him technically a cyborg, but they are mostly for the sake of restoring his vital organs and muscles rather than enhancing him. Friendly and affectionate, but obedient and quiet on command; he is often by Maxine’s side when she’s not on particularly formal missions, proving himself to be both a steadfast ally and an unlikely friend.Type: Sidekick Zeni Value: N/A Zeni Cost: N/A Activation: At-Will Effect: This sidekick may make all actions a sidekick is prescribed to make: -Make a physical or energy attack with a +40 accuracy bonus and 2d6 damage dice. -Use a common recovery item on your or your allies, or a grenade on an enemy. -Lend you ki for a Finisher technique, reducing its cost by 5 ki. -Go into defensive mode. While in defensive mode, they can use one of your reactions to take an attack for you. Their HP is 20. If their HP is reduced to -5, they are considered dead. A wounded companion may be healed with the Healing Tank and Clinic Stronghold Addons, if you possess both; while a dead companion can only be restored through a wish upon the Dragon Balls or completing a quest to heal or save them. In addition, while equipped, if this Honour Guard drops to half health or below, they will provide a 2% health boost to their user. Limit: None. Name: Vehicle Millennium Royal An elegant luxury helicopter popular among the Pig Demon Duchies; for both those with lifestyles that can afford it and those who want to leave an impression for just one night. With smooth modern curves, it gives a hint of a luxury supercar’s status with the comfort of a classical limousine. With a minibar, docking for assistant AI, tinted windows, seats that can fold out into a sofa bed, and a surround sound system that requires bass capacitors to still fly straight; it brings class to any journey whether it’s for business or pleasure. Of course, with its current owner, it has been mercilessly modified with extra armour and armaments; making it come off as more of a particularly comfortable aerial operations vehicle. Though, at least the slick black paintjob does double duty this way…Type: Sidekick Zeni Value: N/A Zeni Cost: N/A Activation: Various Effect: Armoured Plating: The first time you take damage in battle, you may instead use your vehicle as a shield- and have it provide 15 DR. Mobile Turret: On the first attacking turn in battle you may use this item as if it was a bonus action capable attack dealing 4d8+4 damage. In addition, this attack uses your reflexes not your energy control to determine its accuracy. Smuggler’s Compartments: Once per battle, you may switch any battle item which you have NOT used for one of three rare or below items listed in your ‘smuggler’s compartment’. Compartment Contents: Field Responder Pack, OTC Stim, Professional Panacea Limit: Various. Inventory:Name: Blaster Pistol Dual Type-950 Machine Pistol Customs, ‘HAPPY LANDFILL’ A pair of energy-based machine pistols; custom versions of a model that was once particularly common among the Western Lands' gangs. While they have since fallen out of being 'trendy', they are still valued for their small size and cheap parts. In particular, they are known for their disposable battery packs which are extremely cheap to make and are made of a filament that will simply crumble when its electrical charge is emptied, making them totally throw-away magazines for an already cheap weapon. Type: Weapon Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: You may perform one additional Energy Blast on this turn as an At-Will Action. This Energy Blast receives only half of your Accuracy and Damage modifiers. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Ki Bolas Shock Discus, ‘SWEEPSTAKES’ A strange weapon that runs an electric current through a magnetic metal disc, to be controlled using a set of magnetic gloves. Though a bit awkward to use at the best of time, it makes for a particularly obnoxious weapon in close-quarters as it wildly bounces of walls; and one tap of it can fry one’s nerves for a few moments. Certainly one of the less lethal weapons in Maxine’s arsenal, but still a troublesome one. Type: Weapon - Martial Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform on this turn gain +5 Accuracy, and a 30% chance to inflict Immobilise on their target. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Antique Pistol CB Twin-Barrel Shotgun Custom, ‘THE SWAGGA’ A pump-action shotgun that uses a twin-barrelled design, allowing it to swap between two tubes of shells, meaning the user can load two different types of shells and swap them at will or carry a higher ammunition count within the weapon. Maxine’s is usually loaded with buckshot and flechette, and is a shortened tactical model. Type: Weapon Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform on this turn have a 50% chance to afflict ‘Wound’ on their target(s). Additionally, deal direct damage equal to their highest stack of ‘Wound’, ‘Burn’, ‘Poison’, ‘Chill’, or ‘Shock’ to each target successfully hit by your Energy Blasts this turn. This damage applies only once to each target, not once per successful hit. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Antique Firearm Objective Individual Combat System Custom, ‘DONCAMATIC’ A bullpup assault rifle combined with a magazine-fed grenade launcher set underneath it, and with a pair of attached micro-missile racks; making for an unwieldy and heavy weapon but certainly one that brings plenty of firepower to bear. A more common sight among army specialists; making it a rare piece of cutting edge technology amongst Maxine’s arsenal. While its rifle functionality compares poorly with ‘STROBELITE’, its explosive ordnance options make it better suited for hammering defences or suppressing large areas through sheer firepower. Type: Weapon - Assault Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform on this turn deal additional damage based on the target's THP and Defensive Techniques. For each of the following that apply at the start of the Defender's turn, they deal +3 damage: - Target has THP - Target has higher than 10 THP - Target has used a Defensive Technique against this attack - Target has used a second Defensive Technique against this attack Limit: Two uses per battle.
Name: Saiyan Bow Depleted Uranium Crossbow, ‘RHINESTONE EYES’ It’s just not practical to go carrying AP rockets around all the time for when you face heavy armour, so Maxine developed her own answer to Katchin armour. Using a fairly heavy-duty repeating crossbow as a base, this weapon is strung with steel bolts with spent uranium heads, making them much heavier but also offering rather ludicrous armour piercing. Type: Weapon - Martial Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: When you activate this weapon, you may reduce your Defence by 5 up to four times during this turn. For each 5 Defence you sacrifice, Energy Blasts you perform on this turn gains +1 damage. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Demon Yumi Composite Bow, ‘DOUBLE BASS’ A modern composite bow made of plastic and metal, without even a hint of timber to its frame. Maxine is not as good with a bow as she is with a gun, but has come to realise that there are some perks to the form of an arrow when it comes to sending trouble in her enemy’s direction. While the Shinobu have some pride in their clan’s skill with the yumi, they frown upon Maxine’s refusal to use the traditional design in favour of such a modern version. Type: Weapon - Martial Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: When you activate this weapon, you may reduce your Damage Modifier by 1 up to four times during this turn. For each 1 Damage Modifier you sacrifice, Energy Blasts you perform on this turn gains +5 Critical Range. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Disposable Launcher Metallitron & Sons Laser-Guided Hrunting SMAW, ‘TICKER TAPE’ Originally a prototype designed to take down high-speed aircraft, the few versions of this anti-air missile launcher that were manufactured have become a black market commodity. A quirk in their programming design led to the discovery that they were just as effective at locking onto just about anything with a heat or ki signature, making them able to boast as much precision in hunting personnel as they did aerial vehicles. Though Maxine can only practically carry around one or two rockets, they are each rigged with tandem warheads, making them devastating when detonating. Type: Weapon - Launcher Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: When you perform a Ranged Energy Blast this turn, roll for its Accuracy twice. If only the first is successful, treat it as normal. If only the second is successful, deal only the attack’s dice damage. If both are successful, the attack gains +3 damage. Limit: Two uses per battle.
Name: Gatling Laser SHQ Apollon-48 LMG Custom, ‘REVOLVING DOORS’ A rare piece of modern hardware in Maxine’s arsenal; the Apollon-48 is a high-performance kinetic LMG intended for squad usage that was pitched to the World Government, but lost to a competitor. For the most part, it is an admirable but conventional weapon; but it does have extra trick up its sleeve. Mounted with an attachable control unit alongside its box mag, it is capable of being controlled remotely or via an AI; offering suppressing fire without being personally used – albeit at the cost of limiting its arc of fire and accuracy. Type: Weapon - Assault Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform this turn have a 80% chance to afflict the target with the Special Status Effect ‘Suppression’, even if they miss; but their Damage is reduced by -3. ‘Suppression’ stacks last one turn each like regular Status Effects, but reduce the target’s Defence by 10 for each stack on the target. However, all stacks of ‘Suppression’ are removed if the target is not attacked by at least one Ranged Energy Blast each turn. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Dinosaur Hunting Rifle D-9 Anti-Materiel Rifle Custom, ‘THE PINK PHANTOM’ Originally a hunting rifle designed for hunting dinosaurs in the South Lands’ deserts, the D-9 became something of a collector’s item following its production company’s closure. In the Western Lands, it is particularly sought after simply due to its impressive stature. Impractical, oversized, and overtuned; Maxine’s example of the weapon hits all the notes that impress the yakuza punks in the same way as a motorcycle. But, complaints aside, its power and accuracy cannot be argued with – what works on a dinosaur will work quite comfortably on any softer target. Against targets smaller than its intended prey, the sheer weight and force of its rounds can be just as lethal as its damage; making defensive manoeuvres after being struck especially burdensome. Type: Weapon - Sniper Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Ranged Energy Blasts you perform this turn gain a ‘Mini-Crit’ range that is 25 higher than your normal Critical range (for example, if you could normally critically hit on 95+, you could get a ‘mini-crit’ on 70+). On a mini-crit, the hit is still guaranteed and other critical effects will still trigger, but with only a +2 damage bonus. Limit: Two uses per battle.
Name: Carrot Gun Dual XM1164 Reverend Handgun Customs, ‘DEAD BUTTERFLIES’ Modern light-weight handguns designed by gunsmith artisans in the Southlands; featuring a range of modular parts and a unique mount for androids to hook into for reflexive targeting solutions. Though their design harkens back to law enforcement issue handguns, these were instead intended to be the calling card of a Baron in the Duchies - however, no amount of bullets could have saved him from the riot his rule caused; even between two pistols. They were passed around samurai clans and met with varying amounts of disgust, before ending up in the vaults of the Shinobu - and from there, only Maxine saw potential in them. Type: Weapon - Pistol Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Energy Blasts you perform this turn increase their Critical Range by 10 (A Crit on 95 is now a Crit on 85), and increase Critical Damage this turn by +4. In addition, Energy Blasts you perform this turn have a 50% Chance to inflict "Immobilize" on their target. Limit: 2 uses per battle.
Name: Freiza Force Tracker Slash Liner, ‘HIP ALBATROSS’ Originally the title of a throwing knife Maxine used, this has since become a part of the Spark Liner – albeit requiring its host’s help to activate. Combining the drones of her Spark Liner with a set of thin metal blades, the drones act like guided throwing knives; flying and ricocheting at deadly speeds… at least until the frail blades dull. While their accuracy doesn’t compare to firearms, giving Spark Liner extra authority with the weapon gives Maxine more breathing room on the offence and defence. Type: Weapon – Staff? Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Your Sense technique may be used as a Reactive At-Will action on your next turn. For each Energy Blast you perform on this turn that successfully hits its target, you may use Sense 1 additional time on your next turn; the Effects of multiple Sense uses through this Effect stack. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Universal Targe Oolong Tactical Targe An illegal modification of Capsule Corporation’s Universal Targe; at least as far as copyright laws go. While similarly appearing as a bangle and activated by neural link; the projected Katchin shield has been remodelled as a riot shield more befitting of firefights than close-quarters combat. Type: Weapon - Shield Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Bonus Action - Reactive Effect: Increase your DR by 10 this turn; additionally, select one non-Special Status Effect. You may not be inflicted with the chosen Status Effect on this turn. Limit: 2 uses per thread.
Name: Knife The Knife from Long Ago A simple tanto knife, without even an elegant design. Once upon a time, this was all it took to kill the demonic ex-chairman of the Shinobu Clan; Duchess Rhyme. Though it is not cursed, it may as well be for its current owner. Type: Weapon - Knife Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: At-Will Action Effect: Performing a Strike on this turn reduces the target of that Strike’s DR by 2 when responding to all attacks made by you this turn. Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Steel Sword Unsigned Katana A plain blade forged in the Western Lands; albeit not bearing enough fame or worth to deserve its creator's signature. But, while it may not compare to the history of family relics or a sword enshrined in myth; it cuts just as well as any other. Most importantly to the android, though, it makes Maxine seem a little more respectable within the Western Lands' more traditional social circles. Type: Weapon Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Strikes you perform on this turn deal an additional +2 damage and have a 35% chance to inflict Wound on their target(s). Limit: 3 uses per thread.
Name: Battle Armor Flexisteel Joint Reinforcement A retrofitted android artificial skeleton structure upgrade; using an steel-grain artificial cartilage instead of relying on mechanical joints, allowing hardier alloys to be used for the bone-proxys. While a base feature of more modern or military designs, Maxine has had to get her replaced limbs commissioned with such a reinforcement. Type: Outfit - Armor Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your maximum HP by +10 and gain +1 DR while wearing this outfit. Limit: None.
Name: Katchin Armour Golden Guard Power Armour A set of heavy armour used by the Azure Dragoons’ titular Dragoons. Fitted with automated servomotors to supplement the user’s muscles with hydraulic power, these suits offer immense protection while using the extra power to counteract the added weight. Type: Outfit - Armour Zeni Value: 40,000 Zeni Cost: 120,000 Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your maximum HP by +30 and gain +3 DR while wearing this outfit. Limit: None.
Name: High Class Garb Shinobu Duchess’ Haori A black Western Lands jacket, worn over Maxine’s traditional suit in the place of its usual jacket. Though seemingly made of mere cloth, the Shinobu clan symbol that takes up most of its back is said to be embroidered upon a circle of scale from the rumoured God of Snake Way. Type: Outfit Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your maximum HP by +30 and gain +3 DR while wearing this outfit. You may change the major effect of a special technique which you possess to instead be 'Fortify'. Limit: Major Effect alteration can only be done twice per turn; six times total per battle.

Type: Outfit - Robe Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your maximum Ki by +25 and regain 2 Ki at the end of each of your turns while wearing this outfit. You may not regain Ki while Exhausted. Limit: None.
Name: Elder Student’s Gi Wetware Variable Armour System mk.3 An experimental update of Maxine’s hardware, based on modern android design, but adapted to her old model. While it successfully updated her predictive processing and greatly improved her direct interfacing with other electronic armours, it lacks any added protection on its own. Due to an overheating issue caused by the use of two of these wetware systems at once, she usually has to wear light clothing or sportswear on top of it rather than her usual suit if she chooses to use it alongside the mk. 4 version. Type: Outfit - Gi Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Passive Effect: At the beginning of your turn, you may choose 1 of the following Effects: You gain +5 Defense this turn(applied before incoming attack resolution), you gain +10 Accuracy with all Basic Techniques this turn, or you gain +10 Accuracy with a single Special Technique used this turn. Limit: 1 bonus applied per turn.
Name: Expert Training Gear Full Sim Equipment A complex mix of sensors and extra software that Maxine improvised to give herself full records of her activities and her computational responses to them, so that she may go over them again later for training purposes. As they aren't any sort of official system, as no such thing would fit such an old model, they are burdensome on both her person and her processing. Maxine would never consider wearing them when taking on a serious job. Type: Outfit - Training Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Passive Effect: You gain an additional 50% PL from thread rewards while wearing this outfit. Limit: May only apply this bonus in Spars, Battles, Bounties, and Events wherein combat has taken place.
Name: Yellow Jumpsuit with White Stripes Maid Outfit The unfortunately iconic maid outfit Maxine wears while working at the Flying Monkey, or if specially requested. With a full-length skirt, apron, and butterfly tie; it is the platonic ideal of the meido. As a machine, Maxine can be relied upon to perform the legendary ‘maid turn’ when the time is right with mechanical precision. Can anyone resist the sight of a mathematically perfect technique of this calibre…?! Type: Outfit Zeni Value: 20,000 Zeni Cost: -- Activation: Passive Effect: You may use "Distract" up to three (3) additional times per battle. Limit: None.
Name: Fragmentation Grenade The most iconic of all grenades, the Fragmentation Grenade, is a weapon that releases dangerous shrapnel in all directions upon detonation. The max chance to afflict any Status Effect is 95%. Limit: 2 uses per thread.
Name: Capture Net Transactinide Spikes A set of metal nails, each about 30cm long, which can drill into and embed in surfaces when thrown or set. Activated with a handheld detonator, the pylons then initiate an electrical charge that bonds internal chemical elements into a high density element that multiplies their weight. Due to these elements' half-lives, this weight only lasts a few minutes, but until then anyone pinned or hit with one of the nails is massively weighed down until they can somehow shed the weapon. Type: Grenade Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: Target one opponent; that opponent has a 50% chance to be afflicted with the Immobilise status effect. The max chance to afflict any Status Effect is 95%. Limit: 2 uses per thread.

Name: Lucky Trinket Parallel AI Driver A supplementary system that gives a secondary AI additional I/O pathways for a central system. While generally made for larger machines, mainframes, or databases; Maxine has scaled one down in order to allow UN-02 more power over her systems, allowing the surrogate AI to handle more minor processes at once while Maxine herself is focussed on other things. Type: Supplementary - Magic Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Passive Effect: Increase your Defense by 5 and your Critical Strike range by 3 while this item is equipped. Name: Arcane Orb Microdetonator Ammunition A type of ammunition that uses internal miniaturised explosives to act similarly to scaled down air-burst grenades, detonated mid-air rather than necessitating any impact. Name: Totem Shinobu Sash A long violet ribbon often seen amongst the Shinobu Clan, usually worn in Maxine’s hair in a bow or around her waist as a sarashi when she’s trying to be more professional. Though it appears merely decorative, these ribbons are enchanted with defensive runes – when activated through ki or magic, they will begin to fray and burn as their power is gradually used up until their entire length vanishes. While active, these ribbons’ runes provide a shield against basic curses and other detriments. They can also be used as highly effective bandages thanks to this form of magic, if the threat is more practical. Type: Supplementary - Magic Zeni Value: 10,000 Zeni Cost: 40,000 Activation: Bonus Action Effect: When you use this item, you gain Immunity to the Freeze, Stun, Burn, Poison, Chill, and Shock status effects for 3 turns. Name: Sake Magic Killer A small mass-produced knife, enchanted with a basic form of nullification magic. Though its blade is blunted and badly balanced, it is capable of flushing out or countering ki. Due to its small size and impractical design it is only useful at point-blank and against a pitiful target, making it far better as a defence against infectious magical attacks and effects than it ever could be as an actual weapon, despite its appealing effects. Type: Supplementary - Magic Zeni Value: 30,000 Zeni Cost: 80,000 Activation: Bonus Action - Reactive Effect: When you use Sake, reduce the success chance of any status effect targeting you by 20%. Players who choose to do so must pay 5000z and write 350 Words of Travel per Step ridden, instead of normal travel requirements. If at least one person uses Comfortable Ride in this way, every player sharing the vehicle will receive the "Well Rested" effect. The owner of the vehicle must still write normal travel requirements. Armoured Plating: You may use your vehicle as a personal fortress of sorts. The first time you take damage in battle, you may instead use your vehicle as a shield- and have it provide 15 DR. Vehicles with Armored Plating take up an item slot in battle. Mobile Turret: You have some sort of weapon that’s got what in some places they’d call a “Big Damn Gun” on it. It might be a hold-out shotgun, a built in machine gun turret, or an old fashioned canon. Whatever it is, you’ve trained with using this weapon in short-term, rapid fire attacks. On the first attacking turn in battle you may use this item as if it was a bonus action capable attack dealing 4d8+4 damage. In addition, this attack uses your reflexes not your energy control to determine its accuracy. Vehicles with a mobile turret take up an item slot in battle. Smuggler’s Compartments: Once per battle, you may switch any battle item which you have NOT used for one of three rare or below items listed in your ‘smuggler’s compartment’. Living Quarters (M.O.M.): You may attach one Stronghold add-on to this vechicle for each 'Living Quarters' add-on applied to it. This add-on may be activated as if it were in the same region as you. Compartment Contents:Field Responder Pack OTC Stim Professional Panacea Add-on Slots: 4/4 Limit: N/A Artifact:Shinobu Branch Office, ‘PLASTIC BEACH’The former office of Duchess Rhyme, restored to its original state. A glamourous atrium garden and office awash with Western Lands decoration and flora, albeit far away from its original home. As a seat of power for the Shinobu Clan’s web of connections, it allows its owner to key into their contacts and pull whatever strings they desire. Just bear in mind that while the family of snakes can slither through every crack, they are not often welcomed…Type: Crafted Artifact - Stronghold Addon Zeni Value: N/A Zeni Cost: 300,000z Effect: When attached to your stronghold, the user will gain two 'Sway' per month and any other member of the stronghold will gain one 'Sway' per month. This 'Sway' can be spent on one of the following items: - Any non-Miscellaneous (Celebrity, Connections, Investments, etc) and non-Consumable (Fresh Vegetable Patch, Multi-Pass, Ox-King Plush, etc) Special Item can be purchased at a price of 2 Sway.
- A Déjà Vu Document of any star level can be purchased at a price of 1 Sway.
- A ‘Soldier of Fortune’, a 1-time use item that acts similarly to a ‘Knight in Southern Service’ or ‘Orange Star IOU’ – it summons a mercenary ally that acts as a Companion for one battle, even if all Sidekick slots are already filled; and confers the trait ‘Infinite Core Type’ on the user. Unlike its counterparts, it can be used in spars. It has a price of 1 Sway.
- A Training Coupon, which provides a one-time 2 week discount to training and a one-time 1 MP discount to ranking up techniques, at a price of 1 Sway.
The user and any other member of their stronghold will gain one 'Sway' for completing either the repeatable mission 'Among Sweet Flowers Do Creep', accessible to anyone in this addon's stronghold; or by completing any mission with a star ranking of 5 or more. Among Sweet Flowers Do Creep | 1 Star Mission (2000 Words Requirement) | Repeatable Twice Per Month - Though not among the greater clans of the Western Lands by any stretch, the Shinobu Clan always has work for those who are hungry for rewards or reputation. Stalking shareholders, violently cleaning up loose ends, attending to their wealthy allies' whims, or just lighting the chairman's cigarette for her; there is always more strings to be pulled. Though it will never get your name in the news, being in the pocket of the clan of snakes has its benefits. Rewards: 1 'Sway' used for the effects of the 'Shinobu Branch Office' Stronghold addon. No reputation is awarded for this mission. Crafting EP Requirement: 5,000 Stroke of Inspiration:Sumi-e (Juniper)Mimicking Juniper’s abilities, Maxine overcomes her usual distaste and lack of compatibility with magic by painting arcane symbols to inflict curses on her opponents using this replica of the legendary brush; considering it a tool rather than a part of the magical arts.Type: Crafted Artifact – Supplementary Activation: Passive Effect: While the paintbrush is equipped, Maxine gains the Witch class trait 'Sorcery'. Name: Gummi Shenron Candy x2 A decadent candy made in Pilafland, and only on very special occasions; making them collector’s items in spite of being mere sweets. Name: Dragon Ball Hard Candy x2 A handmade candy that became a traditional treat amongst the Turtle School, as a way to remember the days when the Dragon Balls were whole. Such days are so long ago now that the recipe has been almost entirely forgotten; making these sweets priceless indeed. While they lack the actual power of the Dragon Balls (and some say they’re far too sour tasting, too), they certainly have some sort of mysterious energy in them… Type: Out of Battle Consumable Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: N/A Effect: When used during the Grading of a thread, this item provides a 25% boost to all gains for the user.

Name: Spirit Body Fruit Candy (Ghost Pepper x2, Gooseberry) A sugary treat once made by Capsule Corp – however, it had to be hastily recalled once they found its flavours mixed with latent ki in particularly unpredictable and explosive ways… not very popular amongst concerned parents, suffice to say. Nowadays, they are still created, but they’re a rarity due to how dangerous they can be. Type: Battle Consumable Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: N/A Effect: Adds Burn (Ghost Pepper) or Poison (Gooseberry) to any Special Technique with a 100% infliction rate.
Name: Déjà Vu Documents (7-Star x2, 3-Star x1) A mysterious scroll that appears to be full of text at a glance, but then turns entirely blank whenever someone tries to read it. Type: Out of Battle Consumable Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: N/A Effect: Allows the user to repeat a mission of the Document’s star ranking or lower. If the mission has any non-consumable Special Items, though, the user won’t obtain them again.

Since their debut and surge in popularity, brands have started making figurines of just about everyone who earns a name for themselves. Type: Cosmetic Zeni Value: -- Zeni Cost: -- Activation: N/A Effect: Purely cosmetic, but you never know when you might be able to show it off or even trade it for something in a thread. A detailed figurine of Colonel Cerola alongside a pair of chibi Dragoons, originally made for a public relations stunt that didn't go very well. Maxine keeps it on her desk in her room, and sometimes talks to it when no one's watching. A figurine of Clove in her Chi-Chi Armour, firing a laser from her helmet. Maxine tends to keep this one in a cabinet, considerably out of sight. At the right price, be it money or connections, they'll sign away their life for the sake of victory. While similar to wandering martial artists, they tend to fulfill their contracts in blood and bullet casings rather than ki and kicks.
