A melodious voice slowly whips across your ears and the ears of those around you as the radios of the world pick up the voice of Melody Melody:
“This is Melody Melody, and that was ROCK THE DRAGON. It was like, yeah, such a good song, right?” the voice perks and is full of enthusiasm. “Now here on KDRAC, it’s time to get up and going. It’s time for Doctor Bell A. Pepper’s find a job!”
A smooth male voice comes on, “Yes, yes it is. That time of day again to get you out there and get you paid. This is delivered by radio and text via the automated radio transponder machine for those with access to it.”
Indeed, all across the world in bars and taverns where the station was playing, what looks like a glorified printer with a satellite dish upon it and several antenna is visible. This prints out the jobs which are then pinned on boards. They range from the mundane to the almost mystical and unheard of.
The missions which are currently available are:
1- Raiders of the Lost Chicken- Help the Chicken Farmer’s Association gather chickens and ostrich chickens which have been let loose and are now lost. This strange phenomenon has been happening across the globe and many blame animal rights activists. This mission may be as short as 1,000 words long or as long as 5,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% Effort Points per word for doing the mission, and if you reach the 5,000 word count cap for mission rewards, you also get an Ostrich Chicken Egg.
2- Dam Dam Revolution- Throughout the continent local governments are trying to harvest natural power where they can given the increasing scarcity and cost of fossil fuels. As such, it is a proverbial revolution of dam building, and there are companies throughout the world which are looking for hard working workers to help them build. Get on with the Dam Dam revolution. This mission may be as short as 1,000 words long or as long as 3,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% Effort Points per word for doing this mission.
3- Born to be Wild- Desert Wolf Motorcycles has begun a test run of motorcycles, and are aiming to find some good test riders to push the performance of their new Wolf Fang Choppers. It should be noted that there have been walk-offs for this job before because of the danger, but where there’s risk there is reward. This mission may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 7,500 words long. You gain an additional 25% per Effort Points per word for doing this mission, and if you reach the 5,000 words written for the mission, you also get a first edition Wolf Fang Chopper - 25% time reduction on travel over land if you role-play using it.
4- Let the Hammer Down, Good Buddy- Ox-Corp has been looking for temporary workers after twenty-five percent of its workforce came down with a mysterious illness. To survive this possible industrial sabotage, they need some of the best workers out there. Are you ready to let the hammer down, and the pick axe too? Even the tongs? Dig ore! Help apprentice at the forges! Feed sick workers! This mission may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 7,500 words long. You gain an additional 25% per Effort Points per word for doing this mission, and if you reach the 5,000 words written for the mission, you also get a first edition Ox-King Plush. - +5 to Resilience for one Battle.
Despite the fact it is a radio, it also goes so far as to print some maps and pictures to the locations of the jobs- but also prints out wanted posters. This is the other part of the popular, “ZIP IN THAT ZENI” segment of the Dr Bell A. Pepper show. The Bounty’s. In fact in many bars people are fighting over them as they are released while others listen to the descriptions on the radio and sketch out their own images along with the words.
Heater- A Sociopathic boxer who has went around hurting or killing village heads in the search of the ‘Strongest’. May be completed in any region/forum. This bounty may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 5,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% Effort Points per per word for doing this bounty. HOWEVER, after you’ve hit the 3,000 word mark, a game master will enter your thread and you will begin a stat battle with HEATER. Win to get that bounty!
The Big Bad Saber Toothed Bear Bandit- A one bear robbing machine. He has been robbing trains and 18-wheelers, and his bounty has been put out by the Transporters Guild.May be completed in any region/forum. This bounty may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 5,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% per Effort Points per word for doing this bounty. HOWEVER, after you’ve hit the 3,000 word mark, a game master will enter your thread and you will begin a stat battle with The Big Bad Saber Toothed Bear Bandit. Win to get that bounty!
Professor Poblano- One of the Pepper Bros- no relation, Prof Poblano exploded a facility after Capsule Corp bought it from Pepper Corp. Bounty offered by Capsule Corp, and is worth more alive than dead. May be completed in any region/forum. This bounty may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 5,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% per Effort Points per word for doing this bounty. HOWEVER, after you’ve hit the 3,000 word mark, a game master will enter your thread and you will begin a stat battle with PROF POBLANO. Win to get that bounty!
Ihsoy- A dinosaur type monster who has been reported to be mauling and devouring livestock throughout the eastern lands. Bounty offered by the Monkey Fist School of martial artists in solidarity with the farmers of the Eastern Lands. Must be completed in the Eastern Lands. This bounty may be as short as 1,500 word long or as long as 5,000 words long. You gain an additional 25% per Effort Points per word for doing this bounty.
