He has a deep penetrating voice that can be heard throughout a jobsite. He tends to wear jeans and a plain tee shirt and is rarely found without his trusty lunchbox nearby.
Personality:
Argula is a brash talkative guy, the type of guy who has never met a stranger. He is straightforward and honest, and rarely mincing words, saying just what he means most of the time. He has a big heart and likes helping others. He mostly gets along with people but he despises bullies. He is seeking to further his martial artistry again after a break of a few years and is very curious to try what he remembers and is developing out in the field.
History:
Argula was born to Turip and Caulia Kale. He and his family moved to West City when he was just a kid so his father could pursue a job at Capsule Corp as a researcher. Argula was a bit of a troublemaker until he started studying at the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School. It taught him to focus his energy into something constructive, and he loved learning martial arts. His parents bought him a Damascus steel blade that he named Farukon. He studied until he was 17, when he snapped in class defending his older sister and beat someone quite badly. He was cast out of school and from martial arts.
He served a small amount of time in a juvenile detention center before he got out and started doing public service. He heard there was an opportunity working for Capsule Corp in their construction division. He got a job as a construction worker and began working on building projects. His natural strength and agility served him well, making him almost a superstar on the construction site. As a sign to his parents that he had accepted his new lease on life, he took his sword and had it melted down and forged into a steel lunchbox that he could carry while pursuing his new passion. He did well and after 5 years he was running his own crew.
His life seemed settled, until one evening he was on his way home and saw someone getting mugged in an alley way. He charged in, without thinking and struck out, channeling his ki through the familiar metal of his lunchbox... the man went flaying away, saving the young woman from getting robbed. He lifted the lunchbox to look at it... was it even stronger this way or had he just strengthened himself that much working at the job site? He continued as a part time vigilante after work hours, making himself a mask to hide his identity.
He was content for a while with his double life... but the call to fight started pulling him more and more. He felt the call to use his long suppressed skills and help more than just a few people in West City. He has started to prepare for a journey into a larger world.
RP Sample: Argula trotted with the last stack of 2x4s and dropped them into place as the light of the sun was disappearing behind the skyline. He tipped his battered yellow construction helmet back and gave his forehead a quick swipe, dashing the sweat to the ground. He wiped his hands on his blue jeans and white tee shirt as he turned back to the rest of the crew and called out in his deep voice, "Allright Crew 48, let's clean up and head out. Quitting time!" The large saiyan walked through the site, towered over most of the others at his 6'6" height, his well toned muscles rippling as he moved. He stopped by the temporary office at the edge of the construction site and picked up his lunchbox before he set out towards home.
It was a few blocks away when he heard a faint voice coming from an alleyway ahead, "... your money... stab you... give it to me now, lady, last chance."
A higher pitched voice, "Please, no, I won't be able to pay to feed my kids.."
Argula started to run and turned the corner of the alleyway at full speed, fist clenched in anger. As he quickly approached, he saw a big bearded man threatening a petite blond woman. the man barely had time to start turning towards Argula, "what the h..." before Argula rammed his left fist into his gut, driving all of the man's breath out in a loud huff. Reflexively, he charged the metal of his lunchbox with his ki... causing it to glow a soft red color and swung it up in an uppercutting motion, sending the man flying backwards and slamming into a wall at the far end of the alley. Standing there panting for a few moments he turned to the lady and nodded, "I'd get home if I were you ma'am. I don;t think he's going to get back up soon... but you never know. It doesn;t seem safe here anyway."
Argula turned and left the alley, the woman's words following him, "Thank you so much! You saved my life!" Argula felt a sense of pride and accomplishment like nothing he ever felt working construction. He enjoyed construction; it payed good Zenni and it kept him very fit. He had felt a call to fight his whole life and his life felt lacking without it. His sensei had refused to teach him anymore when he had almost killed a boy for messing with his sister Cressia. Still there wasn't any reason he couldn't teach himself and further his knowledge. Especially if he was helping people, it would be hard for his family to get too mad about it, if he was being a hero. Maybe he could have some sort of mask made... Get a cool superhero name. He grinned and started running towards his apartment. He had a lot of stuff to get together if he wanted to start patrolling tomorrow.
