The fight continued on, and while Helix did all he could at the full extent of his power, he felt like he was barely more than a gnat buzzing in his opponent's ear. Fatigue was setting in hard, and he could feel the strain of the battle overtaking him. The burning remains of the hits he had taken evaporated the sweat that seeped from his pores as soon as it surfaced, and thin vapors trailed off his body as he struggled to stay on his feet. Despite his efforts, his Earthling ally and the demon they faced continued to trade blow for blow, neither taking any significant advantage. If there was any bright side at the moment, it was that the enemy seemed to have completely forgotten Helix for the moment, focusing all of their attacks on his much sturdier companion. This presented an opportunity.
Tuning his senses to try and trace the pattern of his speedy foe, Helix launched a blast of ki, if only to kick up some dust while he pursued the ploy he had in mind. Gathering his remaining energy, he prepared a much more devastating attack. If this Nerferu could only stay oblivious for a few moments longer, the fiend might find themselves in for an unpleasant surprise. {213|2,876}

Nerferu starting feeling some of her cockiness come back... this creature could be hurt. She began to stalk forward a few steps, preparing to canon more shots into the her alternate self when she noticed she was already casting three black orbs in her direction. She sheathed her hands in energy and assumed a defensive stance as the three projectiles made their way towards her at their varying speeds. As the first reached her, she slapped it to send it spinning off over her shoulder, the second she shunted down at the floor with her right hand. The last one bled a little through the orange light sheathing her hands and the black light burned against her hand. The Namekian joined in on the barrage and she was forced to duck under the blast to avoid it. She could sense that her counterpart was getting weaker... maybe if she kept slamming at her she could secure her victory. She fired her first blast from her crouching position, the crackling bolt of dark orange ki going directly for the center of her chest. Nerferu stood and paced a few steps to the left, swinging her left arm around in a wide arc and releasing a crescent arc of energy that spun towards the shape shifter with deadly intent right at her left arm. Maybe if I can cut part of it off, I can slow her down... Even though she knew academically that this was another version of herself... she wasn't quite ready to admit it in her heart. Well damn. Copy's shadow had somehow managed to avoid most of her attacks and escape the barrage mostly unscathed. It seemed as if she was losing control of this battle... if things continued on at its current rate, she might be in for a difficulty increase. She saw now that this 'Nerferu The Hammer' was not only skilled, but rather slippery. Apparently taking out an alternate version of yourself wasn't the easiest thing to do. Her whole body was slowly encased in a layer of her energy, as she shifted her body weight from foot to foot. Her expression was grave and serious, now beginning to realize the weight of this fight. The first burst of fierce orange struck Copy squarely in the chest, and she slid across the floor once again. The energy she'd thrown up around her form had come in handy, softening the impact and lessening the pain. Although the second attack tossed at her did a lot more than just make contact with the Shapeshifter. It sliced her whole left arm off. Her eyes widened as for a few precious moments a look of horror overtook Copy's features. Her arm fell to the floor, but no blood was present. It was just... severed. The nun's facial features slowly began to portray her anger, eyes flashing to red for only a split second as the arm on the floor began to melt, sagging into a puddle of pink liquid on the floor. Copy crouched down, and used her right hand to touch the puddle gingerly. It looked as if Copy was absorbing the liquid, as the pool of pink color began to disappear. It vanished completely in a matter of seconds, and her left arm sprouted back out of its socket. Gritting her teeth, she made no comment on what she had just done. Once again, hands glowed with jet black energy, and Copy ran towards Nerferu with these imbued fists, letting a battle cry erupt from her mouth. Two strikes were thrown, and Copy hoped to regain control of this fight. It had gone on long enough. It was time to end this.

Waiting for his opportunity, Helix watched for his ally to launch a powerful attack. Unleashing his own power, he hoped to drive the attack forward, overwhelming their enemy's great speed by pure force. The fight was turning against them, and if enduring wasn't going to be enough, they would have to overpower instead. Raising a hand towards the powerful blast that Copy had fired, Helix released his gathered energy with a shout, empowering the blast and driving it forward at great speed. Even then, he was beginning to grasp how strong this demon was, and didn't expect it to be enough.
Continuing to pour every ounce of his ki forward, he lobbed blast after blast at his foe, doing what he could to track and predict its movements without letting up on his momentum. The demon could only run for so long before it would have to start absorbing more of their assault, and hopefully..hopefully it would be enough to overcome this obstacle. Of course, even if they succeeded, there was no telling what threats lurked ahead in this strange temple, but there was no point in dwelling on that now. Focusing on a victory here was all that mattered.

Nerferu cackled with glee as her energy blade sliced her mirror self's arm off and it thudded to the floor. Her laughter trailed off as it was trumped by puzzlement... her foes arm wasn't bleeding at all. She was stunned into silence and inaction for once in her life as she watched the arm melt into pink goop... and then get sucked up by the shifter's other arm. She blurted out, "What in all the burning hells are you, you vile creature?"The creatures arm shot back out of it's socket and it turned its angry visage towards her. Then the shape shifter began charging right for her, arms wreathed in onyx power. She extended her senses, seeking a pattern that would give her the warning she needed to dodge the attacks coming towards her. She twisted aside as the first bolt of darkness erupted from the other demon's strike, then had to jump and somersault over her opponent to avoid the sizzling power of the second attack. As she flew over and twisted to land, she wreathed her right fist in her orange power and shot it towards her foes back. She started to shoot another blast, but the namekian chose that moment to interfere once more, shooting his own blasts towards her. Copy glared daggers at the energy blast that had rocketed towards her, allowing it to slam against her chest roughly. The shapeshifter didn't move a muscle, however. The smoke that had erupted from the impact of the energy was suddenly blown away and scattered evenly in the air as a sudden gust of wind erupted from Copy. Her hands were tightly balled up into crushing fists, her teeth were fully bared, seemingly becoming sharper by the second, and her brows had soared down in an arch, further emphasizing pure, unsheltered rage. The possibly rhetorical question had spewed from Nerferu's mouth, and it seemed to put Copy at ease. Her expression softened, until it was a simple, neutral gaze. Her hands loosened, but remained as fists. She sighed heavily as she saw fit to respond. "I am many things, Nerferu. I am a demon, I am a warrior, I am a shapeshifter, I am unforgiving, yet still, I am justice. I am the manifestation of what it means to gain equality through persecution. Freedom through chaos. Reconnection through destruction. Peace through submission. I am the mother of all demons, I am the light, yet I am the darkness that engulfs it. If you dare to fuck around with the vigilante that is Copy, you're in for a world of hurt."With these words, she swung an arm to one side, firing an energy blast that made a wide arc, rebounding towards Nerferu. She swung the next arm to the opposite side, sending another energy blast at Nerferu that travelled in a similar fashion as the last. Finally, a third black ball of energy gathered in her mouth, and it fired out in the form of a beam, dissipating after a few moments, hopefully making contact with Copy's opponent before it did do. She could feel her energy dropping rapidly... this would have to end quickly.

This was becoming ridiculous. Helix had no worldy clue who this demon was or what reason they had to fight them, other than its typical demonic nature. The Earthling seemed to have some connection with the creature, but at this point Helix was so exhausted and pained that the words they exchanged barely registered to him. At least their clash provided ample distraction from what little he was able to do himself, unable to land even a single blow against this Nerferu. With his weakened energy, he expected he barely even registered to the demon at this point.
As the two shouted their muted taunts at one another amidst their explosive attacks, Helix staggered over, limping wide around the fight and sneaking..to what extreme he could manage on that front..behind his target. With a wearied shout, he charged up what little power remained in him, lunching the last few yards to latch onto the demon. It wasn't an elegant display, but who knows, maybe it would have an impact. {171|3,248}

Nerferu laughed as this shape shifter claimed to be the mother of all demons, and more than a little derision colored her voice, "Mother of all demons? Mother of all delusions perhaps. I will admit that you are the most adept shape shifter I have ever seen... so adept that you have lost your own true form, the glory that you see before you. You lost your, our, purpose and your sanity. I almost feel sorry for you, as you are; but not to worry, sister from another dimension. I will slay you and explore your reality. I will sow the seeds of demon domination in this world, starting with killing you and your little pet slug man." She stopped speaking as her other self tossed the arcing energy balls out wide to converge in upon her. she tensed to dodge them and felt the slug man's power burst to life behind her, stunning her senses with the sudden burst of power. She hesitated almost a second too long before she leaped up and forward, tucking into a tight front flip to avoid the grasping arms of the namekian and the converging energy blasts. As she unfolded and went to land, she saw the beam of energy bursting forth from her counterparts mouth. She tried to twist out of the way but couldn't avoid catching the edge of the beam against her right side. Nerferu hissed in pain and rolled to the side to gain space as she landed. As she popped up onto her feet she brought her hands together and began gathering a ball of her dark orange energy together, eyeing first the one called Copy and then the Namek, she snarled at the slug man, "Try that again, worm, and the next blast will have your name on it." She released the energy in a thick pulsing beam towards Copy's midsection. The corner of Copy's mouth had arched upwards slightly as Helix had attempted an attack on their opponent, proving to be at least helpful in this heated battle. The words of Nerferu registered in her mind, and only ignited yet another fire inside of the shapeshifter, the true one. The one that would take the other down and tear it in half. The one that would correct the errors of the world, someday. The energy blast that rocketed towards her was backhanded to the side harmlessly, and Copy had been walking forward as she did so. As she walked, she maintained eye contact with The Hammer, calmly approaching her, footsteps echoing in the room. "And this, is why you demons will never be worthy of mercy. This, is why you demons aren't going to rule. This, is why I'm going to eradicate every being like you from the face of this earth. You do not belong in the pure world I wish to create. All you demons do is make the world around you bleed. In my dream, there is no bloodshed. No more war, no more meaningless pain or death. While it may be impossible to achieve this prosperity, there is no reason as to why I can't try. I wish to lead the demons on the correct path, therefore, I consider myself as a sort of mother. And I am about to discipline you. In fact, I'm going to send you into a world of pain. A world where the only sound you hear is that of your haggard breath as you choke on your own entrails. The battle continued to rage on, both fighters before him trading blows, blasts, and barbs as Helix only just struggled to stay on his feet. Though he continued to fail at catching up with the demonic opponent he faced, he at least took some small pleasure in knowing he was at least annoying the creature. "You better put me in the ground if you want me to stop, monster," Helix warned, doing what he could to stay focused on his enemy and to keep up with its movements. "I won't quit until at least one of us is finished!" As Copy launched a fresh barrage at the demon, he tried to predict in what direction it might try to flee, and launched a blast of energy of his own to try and box it in. With that, he lunged once more to make yet another attempt to pin the fiend down where it might have no choice but to take a few extra licks.

Nerferu decided to take her shadow's advice... and charged her movements up with her power. As the blasts flew at her, she almost lazily roller her torso around to different angles and leaned back, letting them pass over her. She straightened back up and sheathed her arms in her dark orange ki as Copy tried to energy punch her. She parried the fiercer punch into the pat of the other attack and jumped back, breathlessly laughing with delight. She stepped out of the way of Helix's energy blast and they crouched down and took a flying leap over the namekian as he charged into grab her. Landing she turned and and smirked as she waved one of her fingers at the slug man, "Don't worry. I'll take care of you soon enough. I have to take care of my dear... sister... first. She seems to have some sort of god complex... or goddess complex really, I suppose. Son't worry your hairless head, I'd hate for my trophy to be wrinkled." She wreathed her arms in the now familiar dark orange energy and brought her hands up together, centering on Copy and firing a rapid fire stream of energy bolts to eat up her center mass... { Battle Stats} DEFENSE PHASE.

Copy's teeth grit hard as she dashed forward, already picturing the scene of her victory in her mind. Although, both of her lightning quick strikes were... avoided. Easily. The sky blue eyes of Copy's current form had snapped open wide, as her fist passed through the moving air. The feeling of it was all too familiar. It had been happening throughout the entire fight. But at the same time.... how...? Copy was much more than a match for this grovelling demon. Could it be possible that she had underestimated her opponent? Or overestimated herself? She wasn't completely sure, and as such, she failed to really grasp the true weight of the battle at hand. One thing was certain, however. She was far superior to this version of her when it came to combat, at least, against others. But this other her... it was unlike anything she'd ever seen. Copy had fought all kinda of opponents, but nothing like herself. This one couldn't even shapeshift! Yet still... she managed to force Copy to waste so much of her precious ki..... The laughs that wafted into the air were accompanied by some other words directed towards Helix, who she'd almost forgotten about, and a sudden barrage of orange energy blasts. They were more like pellets than anything, and Copy didn't even attempt to throw up her arms to guard herself. She simply began walking forward, allowing the countless shots of energy to slam against her. She kept walking as pain flooded her body, her steps becoming slower and more forced by the second. Soon enough, she crossed her arms as she walked forward, shouting something over the sounds of ki making destructive contact with an object. "Is there no weakness?!"She dashed over to the side, arm encased in her ki. With a strong toss, she chucked the energy directly at her obvious target, and repeated the process with her second, both of them charging forward with more ferocity and ruthlessness poured into them than her regular attacks.

Helix was getting fed up with this fight, which refused to end. Nerferu, slippery as it was, was taking far too long to knock down. Though his muscles ached and his head swam, he continued to pull up from his stores of energy, tapping into levels he didn't know he had, and charged a fresh onslaught. Forgetting tactics or really any higher form of thought or planning, he simply decided that perhaps an overwhelming offense might be the answer. Lobbing blast after blast at the demon, Helix hoped against hope that he might just put in a dent or two.

Nerferu snarled as her other self seemed largely unaffected by the hail of energy blasts she had rained down upon her... her other self was running low on power but definitely not out of this fight... yet. She would have to fix that. She lowered her arms and ceased firing, eyeing her alternate self as she would up to throw more energy blasts at her. She answered the shifter's short wuery, "No one has bested me yet... and I don't intend to lose to... myself now." She managed to twist aside from the first blast, but the second caught her in the side and sent her rolling off to the side as she tried to dive out of the way.
She popped up to her feet and started claiming more of the power of this place... it was strange still, but almost welcome. As if it suited her, somehow. She had to dance around the namekians energy blasts as he started to throw them with a hint of desperation... it was delicious. Nerferu could almost feel the tide turn and taste the sweet nectar of victory. She began shaping energy blasts in her hands again... and blasted them forward at Copy, one at her right leg and one at her gut. As the blasts left her hands, they too the shape of drill bits and began rapidly spinning as they flew towards her foe, seeking to drive her to her limits... and beyond.

This can't be happening! Nothing was working. Nothing! It seemed as if every single attack that she threw was either avoided or knocked aside. The Namekian valiantly and stubbornly continued to attack after attack at Nerferu, but to no avail. Their efforts had been utterly wasted, and the future was not looking like the brightest it could be. But it didn't matter. Nothing other than this battle mattered at the moment. She had entered this temple on her own free will, and she would step out of here soon, victorious. Firstly, she just needed to erase this demon before her. Simple enough, right? Two quick energy blasts had surged forward, the first causing her to stumble. Her left arm had extended suddenly, in order to make contact with the very ground. The second slammed into her stomach, and that shitty feeling of pain erupted in her mind. Her arm shrunk to its regular size once again, as she right herself. She felt tired and weary, with her vision beginning to seem blurry and her very skin aching. She had to end this quickly. With the minuscule amount of energy she had remaining. She ran forward, heading directly for Nerferu. Her hands were balled up into fists and seemed to..... grow. They changed color as well. She was shapeshifting in the hopes that she could somehow catch Nerferu off guard. The new form that charged at the demon was a Namekian that bore an uncanny resemblance to Helix. Two Namekians, and one demon. That's what this was. She swung a heavy punch at the side of The Hammer's skull, then used the same arm to send an elbow at wherever she could in order to possibly land a hit on the second version of Copy.
