The life of a wannabe martial artist didn't always have to be bloody fights and energy blasts all the time, and today was going to prove that. Or so Nase hoped so. Walking around West City again, Nase began to look around the area, searching for something to do. The city was much different during the afternoon than in the early morning he was there last time. People were walking around the streets, all minding their business, while Nase was just seemingly looking around. He had a good amount of time until his predetermined 'spar' was to take place, so he was trying to enjoy himself before then. Walking through the area, he saw an advertising person standing next to a wall outside of a building, he was walking next to. They were talking about the company that was situated behind her was searching for beta-testers for a new vehicle they believe would be the future standard for travel. Thinking about it for a moment, Nase remembered how he had already gone through a scenario like this, and it had turned out good for him that time. Relatively, at least...Introducing himself to the person out front, he came inside of the waiting room and was told to wait inside for a few minutes. Glancing around the lobby, Nase noticed how nice the place looked there and how it reminded him of a hospital's waiting area. "How'd they get all this set up so quickly? They sounded like this place was a new store... but this looks legit!"Waiting for a while longer, a man with wild brown hair and a taped-up pair of glasses entered the room with a big grin on his face. As he outstretched his arms in greeting, Nase stood up slowly as the very extravagant-sounding man spoke out loud while posing dramatically to himself. "Welcome, all who have volunteered to assist me in the testing my new invention! I do hope you have an enjoyable time testing out my creation, and I await your intriguing feedback!"
Holding back a chuckle, Nase held up a hand in greeting and introduced himself to the room in his usual nonchalant tone. "Hey, I'm Nase. I heard about this from just outside. What kind of vehicle is it?"Pushing up his glasses with his index finger, the seeming leader of the business posed once again, spinning around and then pointed at the android with extreme excitement and energy. "Good question!"Shocked by the manic energy coming off from this man, Nase took a second to return to normal. "My new vehicles have been made to rival all machinery made by the Capsule Corp. that is stationed here in West City. In fact, we have created our business here for the sole purpose of being a rival to their business! So, I hope you're all willing to help me with my ambition!"
Grimacing as he mentioned his competitor, Nase looked to the side awkwardly. This guy was competing with Capsule Corp? Thinking about the situation, he could already imagine the researcher he worked with scolding him when she found out. He shook his head to get the imagery out of his mind and began to rationalize with himself. "(If she finds out, that is.)"Thinking about it for a moment, Nase nodded his head and pointed to himself. "Shouldn't be a problem then. Yeah, I'm here to help you out. Let's see the machinery, yeah?"

Creating something that can rival Capsule Corp of all things. You have to be insane, have a large ego, or be extremely foolish to be trying to compete with such a megacorp as Capsule Corp. Or even a mix of the things as Pilaf Corp has shown to be. And while Isaac is not foolish, he is not foolish, although it can be said that he is not sane and his ego is large though he is very good at hiding both of those mental issues...most of the time. However, he is here for both his selfish reasons and on behalf of Capsule Corp. Capsule Corp wanted him to go undercover and do some corporate espionage by staking this technology out and report back if it's anything they need to worry about, but he wants to get a close look at this special new vehicle himself so he can take a look and learn more about how it's made so that he could make something similar for Gero Industries and help them financially rather then Capsule Corp getting him closer to his goal. And to be undercover he had to look like a completely different person which is not too difficult actually. Truth be told his original face and hair were burned off in the chemical explosion from years ago, with most of his skin burned away as well. The one that he is covered in right now is a synthetic replica of his old appearance. However, it also allowed him to change his appearance easier, a new face was made for him and with some surgery he got a new hairstyle to go with it. His eyes are the same but they are common, but just in case he wears shades to hide them. He also wears a different outfit than his usual pure white ensemble. A large beige coat and matching pants, and a blue striped sweater. It's almost like he is a completely different person but somehow he somewhat still has some semblance and familiarity to the real Isaac. He walked to the place to find he was not the only one to apply, not a problem it may make it easier for him to get his job done while this man is distracted. "Hello I am Samael, I saw the ad and I was interested. I may not look like it but I am an aspiring scientist, unfortunately I don't have the credentials to be able to work at something like Capsule Corp. Maybe we can work together someday in the future if this new vehicle is as hi-tech as you said," "Samael" said. The man looked at the disguised Isaac with a quizzical look, inside Isaac was a bit nervous and thought that he somehow caught onto his act. "My my, young geniuses sure do wear strange things nowadays! Quite alright though quite alright I say! My future company needs a man like you to brighten it up with your colorful ensemble and attitude! Very well then, but let us wait and see if other applicants show up first before we get started, the more test subjects the better!" the man said. Isaac was relieved his elaborate ruse worked, this man was truly foolish after all. He has puppet strings wrapped around his fingers. This other person he shouldn't worry about, but he can't be too careful. Isaac/Samael then went to take a seat as he waited for other potential applicants. If he gets on this high energy man's good side he may be able to get him to spill the info he needs. It's probably safe to say that everything is going according to plan. Word Count: 613

Natasha Ortana. Natasha Ortana. Natasha Ortana. The blue-haired woman in the sweater strolled down the sidewalk in a stilted fashion. Today, she was not General Cerola of ISLET. She wasn't even Colonel Azure of Azure's Dragoons. Today, she was Natasha Ortana, ordinary if attractive entomologist. This role was given to her by Azure's client, the director of the latest of the action blockbusters in the Jack Raker Franchise, starring the reigning GWF Reigning Champion, Saiyan warrior Brussuls "the Muscles". Originally, her PMC had just been hired to serve as military consultants, provide convincing props, and serve as faceless bad guys for Brussuls' character to gun down. But playing the role of his love interest? Well... it wasn't stipulated in the contract specifically, but as one who ensured the delivery of her services at top satisfaction, she was not one to back down from such a challenge. And so, the PMC proprietor took on this role very much out of her comfort zone, and was now attempting something the director's personal assistant, Maxine, called "method acting". A way to build up one's strength of character by remaining in-character even off-set. This also meant looking up some things about entomology. Was it entomology, or etymology? The draft of the script she had received the day before was riddled with typos, and they had to guess. There was little actual mention of her character's work in drafts so far, and they spent over an hour trawling through the script to find nothing but highly ambiguous mentions of the etymology behind the scientific names of an insect or two. Was this even relevant to the film's plot? Either way, she decided on the former, and so after reading up on entomology for several hours, she was free to roam the city for a while. If there was anyone needed to perform consultations concerning tactics - although the film focused more on spectacle than realism - well Major Carnation was competent enough in that regard. As she walked down the street, "Natasha" spotted the interesting sign that this one company had put out. Various means, really. Flyers, posters, people walking around in sandwich signs, targeted ads using well-written copy... It was low profile for sure, but that was bound to change, if what they were saying was true. Was the attempt to rival Capsule Corp foolish? Perhaps. Daring? Certainly. But how successful might they be? There was only one way to find out... The woman in the sweater proceeded into the company's building, speaking to a receptionist to see what the fuss was about - this included mentioning her fictitious expertise as an entomologist - and signing up to the program. There were at least a couple other fellows in the lobby. And while both General Cerola and Colonel Azure would have certainly used whatever methods were available to learn more about them... It was this warrior's pride that reminded her that Natasha Ortana, entomologist, didn't have such means at her disposal. Indeed, her shy if friendly disposition meant that getting to know them at all would be... challenging. Well, the script said Jack Raker would help her become more outgoing, so she'd have to at least get some idea of what shy was. Finally, after a few minutes, the proprietor of this corporation emerged, a mad scientist indeed. He first spoke to the first two. One didn't quite mention what he was, while the other was more open, an aspiring scientist! "And what about you, young lady?" Finally, it was her turn. "What can you tell us about yourself?"She shrank a bit, stiffening as she did so, before taking a modest bow. "H... hello. I'm Natasha. I'm an entomologist... um... I know that has nothing to do with what you're building, but I just thought it would be fun... to try it out...?"The mad scientist laughed and nodded. "Don't worry! If this takes off, we'll make a grasshopper-themed jet-cycle just for you!"Natasha tried to smile sheepishly. Whatever 'sheepishly' meant, at any rate. She wasn't even sure if she was doing that right. It certainly felt like her face was cringing rather than smiling. It was so hard to tell what she looked like without a mirror... 701/1891/12000 Isaac Grey Nase

After looking over the three volunteers once again, the mad scientist looking man smiled crazily to himself once more. Though the group of people seemed small, the man was very proud that he was able to rope this many people into testing his machines at once. Or at all, for that matter. Many people had told him that attempting to challenge an empire like the Capsule Corporation was a foolish idea, but that had never stopped him before. Adjusting his gleaming glasses with a smirk, he stuck his arms out as he spoke loudly once again. "Perfect! A wonderful set of you has shown up! This should lead to a simply excellent test today."With a large and extraneous flutter of his lab coat, the scientist-looking figure began to walk off further into the building, gesturing for the three of them to follow him into the other room. "Please, follow me so the testing can begin."Raising an eyebrow and looking towards the others, Nase slowly followed the man out of the lobby and into a gigantic room ahead that was completely pitch black. Before Nase could ask, the man quickly flicked a switch and a group of bright floodlights came on all at the same time, blinding the dark Tuffle in the process. "Gah! What the?"After his eyes became used to it, he removed his arms from his face and saw the room he was in was a giant garage of sorts. The huge room ahead was an open expanse that mainly featured a deep blue track that looped around and at one of the far walls there was a similar path was placed on its side as well. On the other side, however, there was an array of multiple different vehicles against the wall, all with their own different design and mechanical features. While most of them were cars, there were also a few bike looking machines as well to pick from. And these... were actually impressive. The wheel mechanisms on the cars made Nase believe that they also had hover capabilities too, which really made this crazy guy not seem so insane anymore. "Woah...""The way that I have decided what would be the way to test the vehicles would be a straight race to the finish. As what is a better way to test the capability and quality of transportation than with how well it can handle at its fastest!"As the man finished talking, Nase walked over and began looking at the different vehicles in a mix of awe and interest. Though he didn't have a background in mechanics or anything, Nase still did find the workmanship in the technology used. Looking around the line, he became stuck on one of them as the eccentric man spoke up once again. "So, which vehicles will you all choose? We do have a larger assortment to pick from, so you can pick whatever you want for now. Unfortunately, we do need time for the grasshopper one after all."Laughing to himself, the man left the trio of 'scientists' (one of them actually was one, luckily), and Nase stood in front of one that reminded him of the motorcycle that he drove to the Central Lands on. It was this highly streamlined hovercraft that was coloured predominantly with red and black with a giant turbine in the middle that seemed to be its main mode of travelling. It was propped up with a small stick which Nase quickly kicked it out as he held onto the handles. Standing next to it, Nase checked out the gauges on it and noticed that the vehicle moved much faster than the motorcycle he brought here. Would he even be able to control this thing? There would be only one way to find out. Nase guessed he was just a motorcycle type of person. "Hm... I pick this one.""Ah, our red light jet-cycle? That's one of the few jet-cycles we've actually made recently. A good choice, and you two?"He gestured to the others to do pick from the list as well, as to properly test multiple at once. While he waited for their different choices, Nase cocked his head in confusion. "You say 'we' a lot. Where's everyone else gone?"The man held his glasses by one of the edges and turned back to Nase with his usual amount of energy. Ah, yes the others. There are a few more of us here creating the technology seen here, but they would rather return to their work at the moment than to greet our company, it seems. But don't worry, between us, they are all dreadfully boring anyways."[/i] Flashing a giant grin on his face, the man watched as Nase began to turn on the jet cycle while standing next to it and realizing too late that this specific one didn't have wheels. "WOAH!"Stopping the hoverbike from doing a complete flip in his arms, Nase quickly stopped the engine and put the jet-cycle down onto the ground. Jeez, that was close! Looking to the others and the track, Nase had an idea. "Hey... I just thought of something. You guys want to try and race with these?"Hearing this, the vehicle designer clasped his hands together and began to become even more excited, if that's even possible. "That sounds great! A race would be a perfect way to test our inventions! Let us see the most high-grade of our machinery at their best! This will be perfect!""Heh, that settles it then?"Easily lifting the vehicle over his head, Nase set his bike at the track and let it lie on his leg as he looked at the others. They both looked like interesting people, even though one couldn't look them in the face and the other had their shades on even when the lights were off inside, which confused him. The tan Tuffle felt that the last few weeks he had were a bit too action-packed for a beginner martial artist, and these people look like they could use some fun too. "So what do you guys say? Wanna race?"

It seems a blue-haired woman joined them, she refers to herself as an entomologist who is interested in testing these products as well. Strange how someone of an entirely different and unrelated field would be interested in engineering but he has earned a major and degree in various studies. Such as Robotics, biology, etc. So it would not be too out there for her to be wanting to step out of her comfort zone. But something about the way she talked and not looked at them he couldn't tell if she was just a bad actor or is an introverted anxious cluster of a person. Though that odd wincing smile did cause him to raise an eyebrow. Luckily with his shades, he was not blinded by the sudden flash of light that lit up the garage. And it is clear he got more then he bargained for. He was expecting there to be a single high-speed vehicle but instead what he saw was a line of several different types. All based around hover technology. He grinned as he adjusted his glasses activating a camera hidden in his shades that begins to take digital photos of each of the vehicles. His superiors will be quite interested to learn about this, and he isn't thinking about Capsule Corp. "I must say I am surprised you managed to do all of this from just a small business. I noticed the solar panels on the side of the cycles and the hood of the cars. I take it these are solar-powered then?" Samael said. "Good eye! Of course, though having a solar-powered engine is not the thing they have in store. It also has versatile thrusters with 180 rotation and anti-gravity alignment. Allowing them to be able to drift on a dime and Omni-directional movement. Minimalizing the chances of there being crashes when driving. Will make driving and competitive racing more interesting..." the madman answered. Isaac made a mental note of this specs that this man foolishly divulged about, as he continued to gush about it Isaac was mentally memorizing his explanations with his eidetic memory. Though it's not enough to know what they are capable of or what they have, it's important to know how they are made. And while this man would be giving this information as well it wouldn't hurt to get a closer look at the inside. With one of his hands in his pockets, he gently and silently presses a Capsule button which releases a bunch of Nanobots that begin to creep inside the interior of the different vehicles and begin to take pictures. This was all just child's play for him. He then saw as the one called Nase went to inspect the bikes. As Isaac got a good look at Nase's face he noticed his hearted started to beat a little faster. An unusual feeling, it's not like this mission is stressful or anything. Perhaps he needs to get a check-up when he gets back to Gero Industries and gets a daily maintenance check on his reactor. Watching Nase fumble with the hoverbike he couldn't help but giggle at the sight. He stopped quickly realizing what he just did, that was unbecoming of him. "I agree, testing how these vehicles do in maximum speed would be the most appropriate way to test their fullest capabilities. We need to be varied in our choices so let's each choose a different vehicle," Samael said. After inspecting the various hovercars he noticed a sleek clean pure white model that fits his usual aesthetic. So he decides to go with this one as what he will be racing in. "Well Natasha you can pick as well, also sir you can choose to race with us as well if you'd like," Samael said. "Unfortunately due to my terrible eyesight I am legally bound to not be behind the wheel of any vehicle so I will have to watch you all race instead," the scientist replied. "By the way, you got our names so what should we be referring you to from now on?" Samael asked. "Oh, where are my manners? Dr. Engin, at your service," he declared. And so the mad scientist invited the trio to follow him deeper into the bowels of the building. Upon unveiling the blinding lights of the garage, Azure raised up her arm to cover her eyes, though it would take a split second later for Natasha to squeak in surprise. "Eek!" If she was going to play a key part in a blockbuster movie, she would have to internalise all the characteristics of this role. Cloistered, shy, introverted, whatever you would call it. The scientist who would rather lock herself up in a laboratory dealing with insects and the origins of their names, rather than with something like this. And of course testing this, admittedly more familiar setting, to deal get out of Natasha's comfort zone. In a sense, there were two ways about it. This method acting itself was a manner of speaking, something out of Azure's comfort zone. And so understandably, the appearance of Natasha as an archetypical nerdy if pretty scientist would be imperfect at the start, and hopefully more improved before she would have to shoot her scenes. Oh she didn't doubt the Director's ability to serve as an acting coach. But right now, she was alone, and had to come up with her own interpretation of the character. The mad scientist unveiled the vehicles in the garage, inviting the trio to each choose one of a variable selection of vehicles. "Ahhhhh..." Not like there was much that could be said about this. After all, the more specialised your knowledge, the less you knew about other things in general. Like vehicles. Azure and Cerola, moreso, definitely knew her share of vehicles. Although she could very much understand what the mad scientist was saying when he spoke of these features built into their vehicles, Natasha was supposed to be ignorant of those. But that didn't mean she lacked any common sense. "S... so they're solar powered, which means they're cleaner... and the other features mean they're... uh... safer than other hover vehicles? That's good...!" "Exactly! That's what our customers will get out of these babies, and MORE!" The mad scientist raised his hands as it to grasp some low-hanging fruit. Truly the dramatic persona, wasn't he? The wandering stranger who referred to himself as Nase opted for a robust jet-bike with an appropriately loud red and black colour scheme. Meanwhile, the odd aspiring scientist with the sunglasses, Samael, opted for the sleek and elegant white car. In a way, they both suited each man, it seemed. The former looked like the sort who would make use of something so outdoors-ey, while the latter seemed more like a cool and cultivated man of culture. Nase invited them to race, to which the scientist heartily agreed. "Oh, um... yes. I don't really think I'm good with racing, but I can drive! It just means I have to turn up the speed some more, right?" Sheepish. Sheepish. She bowed as Mr. Samael encouraged her to select a vehicle of her own. "Yes, thank you. I'll do that right away..." While Nase tested out - some might say 'fumbled' with his choice, Natasha took the time to pick something out for herself. She walked up to the lineup of vehicles and strolled down along it, giving each one a careful inspection, as though they were being put under a microscope. There truly was a great variety of innovative new models here. And while Cerola could easily make out the aerodynamic qualities of each, compiling those with the vague details the scientist mentioned, Natasha probably had other ideas. It bordered on stereotype, but after walking down along the whole line of vehicles, she finally made her choice. Incidentally, not just the sort of thing Natasha would make, but something that fit quite nicely under Azure's character as well. The PMC proprietor taking on the role of an introverted entomologist backed up until she stood in front of her choice, and gingerly pointed at it. "I would like this one.""It looks like an antlion larva," Natasha pointed out handily. "With these... things up front." She pointed at the distinctly forked forward section. Of course to Azure, it looked more like a blue tank, with that tiny slit of a windshield. "Well now that you mention it, it kind of does. But those, young lady, are our patented Vectoring Pylons™! The future of engines! They save you space up front, while helping with omni-directional movement!""A... ah, I see." To which she sounded like she didn't actually see. Did people really need to save that much space? Well, perhaps some people living in really crowded spaces... Natasha opened the driver-side door and slid into the seat as the mad scientist introduced himself as one Dr. Engin. What a convenient name. Finding the ignition switch, a flick and the pedal was all it needed to take off and start going. Natasha shrieked as it zipped at full throttle, stopping just feet short of the wall by the time she hit the gas. "I... I think I've got the hang of it now! Then.. um... shall we race?" Slowly, she made her way to the track, the vehicle stuttering in the air as she experimented with various degrees of acceleration and reflex... This car was really powerful, that was for sure. And she was willing to bet that if one knew how to fly it, it would handle perfectly. Maybe they might stand up to Capsule Corp if given the chance... 917/4525/12000 Nase Isaac Grey

A company that wanted to compete with Capsule Corp? Outrageous. That's the first thing that came to mind when Cilan heard about this news. Well, she was genuinely curious about this company and wanted to check out their inventions, which is why she actually set up an appointment a week ago to make sure that she could save a spot for herself. But, she.. was late? Cilan would find herself in her room, on her C-phone.. texting her brother, reminding him that he needs to get home before lunch and that his mother would like to have a word with him. But, instead of replying with a text message, he called. Cilan picked up the phone, quickly, only to realize that it was Maiz, her brother. "Maiz-san.. what is it? You didn't have to call, y'know." She said, in a seemingly annoyed tone. "Yeah, yeah. You should be happy that I'm calling you right now, Cilan-chan. It seems you've forgotten about that appointment you arranged." Maiz said. "Appointment? What appointment? I'm not ill. Ugh, what do you want?" She grew even more annoyed by the fact that he called just to waste her time. He sighed heavily, making sure that his sister heard how.. disappointed he was."Well.. you don't have to thank me. But, you need to get yourself over here, quickly. Remember that company you saw? The one that wants volunteers to test their inventions? Y'know.. the one that wants to be rivals with Capsule Cor-." Maiz wasn't even able to finish his statement, as something or.. well, someone interrupted him. "Crap! I forgot!" She quickly checked the time, only to see that she was late.. 30 minutes late. "Oh no.. how am I gonna explain myself?! Uh.. thanks for reminding me. Now, I want you to do me favour. Are you near the building?" She asked, with frustration evident in her tone of voice. To her convenience, he was and that is exactly what he told her. She let out a sigh of relief after hearing that. "Ok, I want you to raise your ki as high as you possibly can and give me.. about ten minutes." Ten minutes.. was a lot, especially since Maiz had stuff to do, but.. decided to do it anyways. "Ugh, fine. Now, I actually regret telling you." He said, after which, ending the phone call. He might be even more annoyed by the fact that it takes her forever to get changed. She wasn't able to tie her hair into a ponytail or get the look she always liked, but hey. She wore some long shorts, with leggings that were slightly above the knee and a purple tank top and some sneakers to top it off. She also decided to slip on a hoodie sweater. It took her roughly fifteen minutes to get dressed, after taking a bath of course. Once she was finished, she rushed downstairs only to say to her mother. "Hey mom, I'm gonna be out for a while!" Not giving her a chance to at least ask where her Cilan was heading, the teenager left the house with her mother slightly confused. Tucking one of her hands in one of her pockets, Cilan began to search for her brother's ki signature, which way harder than she expected. Did he even raise his ki? He was such a bother sometimes. After trying multiple times, she simply couldn't get a read on his ki. Si, she phoned him again. "You didn't say 'please', you know. I was just.. waiting for you to do that." Maiz said, once he picked up the phone. Cilan knew that her brother was annoying, sometimes, and always liked to get her.. angry. But she was positive that he said he would raise his ki a few minutes ago.. although she had forgotten to say please. She sighed, trying to clear the bad thoughts that came to mind and after a few moments, she said "... Please?" Cilan really didn't want to fly over to West City, because that would just make her late. Later than she already was. "Good. Now, just give me a second." Maiz requested, after which, ending the call. He didn't know how much Cilan wanted to hit in the back of the head. But, that wasn't important, at the moment. She could do that once she gets back from this.. company. She placed two fingers on her forehead, while the other hand was tucked in one of her pockets, as she tried to sense Maiz's ki. "C'mon.. c'mon.." After about fifteen seconds, she finally got a lock on his location and immediately disappeared, which mostly looked like she phased out of existence. After which, immediately appearing in front of her brother, who powered up on top of the building, because he didn't want to draw too much attention to himself. She smiled, although it was obviously fake. "Thanks. I.. really appreciated that." She didn't even wait for his response, but instead, jumped off the building. Using her ability to fly, she quickly stopped herself from hitting the ground with full force, just in time, in order to land gracefully in front of the building. Once she entered, she immediately went to the receptionist, explaining to her that she was here to test out the inventions of this company and also that she was aware that she was aware of her tardiness. "Oh. You came at the last minute, actually. Luckily, they shouldn't have gotten that far. There were some others that came here for the exact same reason and they're currently in the testing facility with Dr. Engin. Let me just call him. And your name is..?" "Oh, sorry. My name is Cilan.. Cilan Michio." After she provided her name, the receptionist immediately contacted the scientist, informing him that there was one more person here to test out his inventions. He would ask to be excused before taking the phone call. "Ok, Cilan. I'm gonna ask you to walk down that pathway and you should find Dr. Engin and the testing facility." With a nod, Cilan followed the receptionist's instructions, only to be led to this huge testing facility that had multiple vehicles and well.. there wasnt much time to stand at the entrance and examine the area in awe. "Oh, hello there! I've been expecting you!" The scientist said, in a dramatic and excited manner. "Oh, sorry I'm late. I'm guessing I should.. uh." Not waiting for an answer, she immediately went over to the collection of vehicles and just picked a random one that looked.. good. A white hover bike with larger mufflers. She didn't have a license and didn't know how to operate a car, so she decided to go with the easier choice. At least, to her, it was easy. She carried it over to where the others were with ease, before hopping onto the bike and waiting for the scientist's instructions. At first, she thought that she was simply going to test it, but by the looks of it, this might be a race. Word Count: 1178 Total Mission Word Count: 5703

Now standing by the beginning of the cyan race track, Nase leaned against his choice in jet cycle gently enough that it wouldn't damage it in any way, but with enough force that the kickstand was supporting both him and the hoverbike at once. Looking at the chosen vehicles of his soon-to-be opponents, Nase noted how the scientist Samael picked one which fit his general aesthetic and colours, and while Natasha picked one that she said kind of looked like an insect, all he could see was some sort of attack robot thing especially when the pincers looked like they could hold weapons in them. This guy wouldn't make war machines and then leave them out for test drives, would he? Looking over to the side, he saw the man they were helping begin to lean dramatically and laugh to himself seemingly out of nowhere, which didn't necessarily make him feel safer, but the girl who was manning it seemed meek enough to be trusted, albeit a little confused. "This thing's just going to run like a normal motorcycle, right? I don't need any previous experience with anything?""Another great question! That will have to be part of the test, seeing as I've never been on one before for more than 5 minutes!""Five minutes?! What happened?""I crashed almost seconds after starting it up and I didn't know how to stop it. I've been banned ever since. But luckily Dr Haust helped with creating these up to standard."Now feeling a hint of worry coming off of him, Nase started to get a headache strong enough that he almost didn't notice the new person entering the room. Then again, this headache was suspiciously familiar to him... but he didn't even feel any energy signatures around him that could have caused it, so it didn't make sense. Removing his hands from his temples, he took time to take note of the noticeably younger teen compared to the others and saw that, like the entomologist next to him, they seemed really shy, but it might be because of how late they showed up. Wait... Was it entomologist or etymologist? He didn't know, and honestly, he didn't feel like asking. As the unnamed girl quietly picked a white motorcycle with a model that reminded him of his own, Nase realized that race was about to start and invited the new girl to join as he put his hand on the handle of his own. "Hey, come on. We're about to start a race to test out the vehicles we picked. It's best of three so you might want to hurry up before it starts.""So, how am I to start this again? It doesn't have wheels or stabilizers on it.""Oh, um... that was one of our earlier models. I suggest that you get a running start."Uh oh. Hearing this, he took a couple of steps back from the line and lifted up the jetbike so that he was 'sitting' on it. "Alright! Since everyone is here right now, I will count you all off! Oh, and for reference, all of your vehicles' hover functionality is controlled by the blue button to the right of your handles and steering wheels, I don't suggest you turn them off mid-flight. OK, 3, 2, 1. GO!"Reacting as quickly as he could, Nase took a few steps before jumping forward at the line and revving the bike into action. Before a second could pass, the engine started and the turbine engine and hover pad below began launching the rider forward across the race path. "Let'ssssss GO!"s|tkkl5S1d100Almost immediately, however, Nase noticed why Dr. Engin was telling him about how his choice of jet-cycle was one of the first that they made. Quickly after starting the race, Nase felt a lot more force come up from under him than he expected, and was launched way too high for him to reasonably control. The most he could contribute was the fact that he was leaning forward as this happened, causing him to move forward as fast he was moving up. "W-woah!"Much to his irritation, the direction he found himself being sent in went way off the track he was supposed to follow, allowing the others ample time to get ahead of him. Cursing to himself, the airborne Tuffle began quickly twisting his handles left and right, trying to get some control back in the machinery. Finally, Nase removed his hands from the steering wheel and leaned towards the track, moving the bike with his legs and regripped the handles forcefully and started pushing the motorcycle faster and faster until it began to push the vehicle ahead. Trying to fix the issue, he pushed the warned-about button twice which seems to have worked as the bike fell down to the floor, but stopped right before crashing. "What on earth is this?" "Ah yes, that was my first experience with motorcycles as well.""I own a bike, though! What happened here?""It might have needed a reset with the anti-gravity, but otherwise it works fine, yeah?"Now upset at this huge deficit, Nase kept going on past the wall-riding section, and returned to the end of the race, hoping to catch up to the others that boosted ahead.

Vectoring pylons hm? Intriguing, the statistics of these machines are starting to sound more and more revolutionary. Though of course, these vehicles are still in the experimental and prototype phases with the equipment and funds Gero Industries and Capsule Corp have they would be done in a farther shorter time then this independent group. By driving this vehicle and getting a better experience of how it works firsthand hand will he be able to get a better grasp at what makes this thing tick so to speak. He opened the door to his as he was about to step in. Before it seemed they were interrupted by another guest. This one appeared to be the youngest of them, a teenager of the looks of it, who seemed to not be very good at being punctual. The fact that Nase's ride is an earlier model and requires a "running start" to get moving shows that some of these are faulty. He then watches Nase make a fool of himself as they are forced to stop the vehicle and veer away from the race track. Causing Isaac to smile and give a light chuckle. Surely he wouldn't make much of a fool himself in this vehicle. He just had to be extremely careful as he looks to see that the controls seemed similar to that of a regular car. He puts it in gear as he starts it up before gently pressing on the gas pedal. ET_LpsWb1d100
As Isaac went forward he started slow at first, though a bit unwieldy as the car's steering wheel had a feature he didn't notice. Gyroscopic movement built in like that of an aircraft, makes sense, it must be to be able to steer it in multiple directions. Luckily he was able to use it to stay on track albeit at a steady pace. Didn't want to risk going full speed just yet he wanted to be slow and steady at first to fully figure out the controls. Like the famous story the Tortoise and the Hare, never underestimate those that are perceived to be lesser by you.
Seeing where Nase stops, he slows down for a bit and pulls his window down as he gave him a look.
"It's not too late to go back and change vehicles if you want to, or if you can want you can ride in mine as we beat the competition," Samael offered.

Natasha nervously fidgeted about the various boondoggles adorning the dashboard of her car. While most of them looked normal, there were a few that distinctly did not look like the usual features you would find on a hover car. They were of course, experimental, and it was safer to assume they should not be trifled with. True enough, the eccentric Dr. Engin warned them all not to touch the little blue button on the right of the wheel. It was around this time that a fourth test driver came in, this one apparently something of a teenager. Was she even old enough to drive? Ah, but who was she kidding? Natasha did not seem like much of a confident character. Who at least knew "enough" to get a license, if the script was anything to go by. She had no business egging on a kid who wanted to try some new cars or bikes. Not that Natasha was the sort to egg anyway... She broke out into a squeaky panic as the doctor began the countdown, finding the wheel and pedals just as it hit zero. x0EweaWD1d100It wasn't a perfect start, but after what happened with her first use almost hitting the wall, it was better to be safe than sorry. The ant-lion didn't fly out of the gate, although Nase did. In a rather poor manner, one might add. Oh yes, Colonel Azure had the car under control the whole time. She would never destroy expensive experimental equipment just for the sake of an act. But she felt a bit more confident that she was able to convey a cute and clumsy klutz relatively convincingly, with that fake near-collision. At least, she thought it was convincing. Nowhere near as risky as that danger Nase had gotten himself into with that crazy old prototype that he'd selected. It did however take her some time to catch up with Dr. Samael, who had taken the initiative to pull over and offer one of two completely reasonable options. The "entymologist", as she decided to finally refer to herself as internally, stopped and set her ant-lion to hover in place as she got down and join this little fuss. "H... hey, are you alright? Dr. Samael has a point. Maybe you can still get a new vehicle, or..." She scratched her head. "I guess it would be safer to drive along in the passenger seat too. But if you want to stay in the race, maybe we could try the first option? The cars seem pretty safe..."That was when something sizzled behind her. Her face paled as she turned and saw a small plume of smoke rising from the pylon on the driver's side. "Oh no...""Oh don't worry about that!" Dr. Engin rushed over with a fire extinguisher and blasted the offending pylon with concentrated CO2 foam. With a simple switch he flipped on the side, the "hood" for the pincer-like engine compartment popped open, revealing a brief glimpse into its inner workings. Nothing that looked too out of place. The Levitation drive was the unique thing about it. Oxymoronic as it sounded, it somehow managed to look far more robust than the usual models while at the same time being compact enough to fit into a fraction of the space. The eccentric scientist blasted the sparking drive with more foam, putting the fire out. A flip of the manual override later, and the L-Drive also died. As a result, the car tilted, with the driver's side slipping down to a mere inch from the track surface. "Yes, it's all under control!" He reached into his pocket to pull out a multi-tool, and after wiping the foam away, twisted a few bolts and screws. He flipped the L-Drive switch back up, and the engine buzzed back to life, the driver's side of the car rising back into its proper place. "It's a bit fidgety, but nothing some frequent maintenance won't fix!" Dr. Engin gave the pylon a good strong pat before moving back out of the way. "I'd say you can pick another bike if you really had to, but if you can last longer than my five minutes on that beast, we can really see the potential it has!""B... but isn't that dangerous? What about the driver's safety...?" She gave a worried look to Nase and the red prototype. Well Natasha certainly cared for the well-being of people. Azure saw it as a matter of a soldier's code to leave the fighting between warriors. And Cerola? She still had trouble enough to wipe the disgust from her mouth over the things she did for the survival of her people. While she never regretted her actions, for the sake of such a cause, the distaste was something she would have to continue living through... 802/7992 NaseIsaac GreyCilan1d100

The fact that she was late made her feel.. embarrassed, but Dr. Engin and the others made her feel a little bit better. No, actually, only one. Nase, that is. But, she didn't pay much attention to that. "Hm, I see. A race you say? Thanks for the heads up." She said, as she carried over the hover bike up the starting line. They didn't start.. immediately, because Dr. Engin was actually having a conversation with the four about the different vehicles they chose and the experiences he had with them.
"As for the one that this young lady has chosen, I'm.. afraid I have no clue about what to expect. It is very much similar to the one this young man over here has." He said, peering over to Nase as he said this. "But after my tiny little incident on that hover bike, I was not able to test it, because as I said, I was banned every since!"
"Uh.. I don't know how to feel about that, but ok." Imagine, having inventions this faulty and wanting to be 'rivals' with Capsule Corp. It was probably the reason they asked for volunteers to test them. So that they could find their flaws and address them. There was no problem there, was there? Cilan hopped onto the bike and began to look at the various controls on the vehicle. Dr. Engin mentioned a blue button, which Cilan found after shifting the handles.
"Also, I'm not extremely sure but.. I suggest that you also get a running start!" The scientist said. "We don't want any broken bones now, do we?" He still had that dramatic tone in his voice.
With a sigh.. and a nod, she complied, getting off of the white hover bike and taking a few steps back. As Dr. Engin counted down, she peered over to the others, saying "May the best man win! Or.. well, vehicle!" It was definitely about the vehicle chosen by each of these fellow racers. Seeing what Dr. Engin had said, Cilan could only suspect that these weren't exactly the best. You might know how to use one of these, but if it's faulty then.. well, that's just sad. You might get injured, if you're not a trained martial artist or something of that sort.
ri2EmYT|1d100
Once the scientist gave them the 'go ahead', Cilan immediately began to push the hover bike and hopped onto it and revved it, before sailing across the track rather smoothly. She had experience riding an actual motorcycle before, so this was.. relatively manageable. She was just hoping that this one doesn't.. give out on her while she's in the middle of the race. That would be bad. It was really hard to get the hang of it at first, especially since the force she felt from this prototype was way stronger than a regular motorcycle, but she quickly adjusted to it, bringing body forward.
Her hair fluttered in the wind, as she turned around to look at the others, only to see Nase having some difficulty with his bike. Questions began to flood the teenager's mind. Should she stop to help him? Hm, nah! If not, what would be her excuse then? Well, since they were testing the vehicles in the first place, that's exactly what she would say. Simple. "Hey! Are guys alright?!" The teenager shouted. They were closer to him anyways, so.. "It's a good thing I came late, or else I would've ended up like him." Yeah, would've definitely picked the red hoverbike but.. she didn't because it was already taken.
"It looks like everything's ok for the young lady! Ah, it's good to see that at least one of our inventions is working perfectly!" Dr. Engin said dramatically, as always.
Indeed. Everything was going great. For now, that is..

Skidding to a sudden stop, the dejected Nase took last place with a disappointed scowl on his face. He really got beat from a reset, huh? Ah, well, it's too late to complain now that everyone else had passed him, especially that new kid that blasted through the competition from the very beginning. In actuality, it seemed that almost everyone except the unnamed girl was having some issues getting across the finish line comparatively. Maybe it was just the model he went with after all... Hopping off the bike after passing the line, Nase went to lament when the first two he met tried suggesting helpful advice to him, namely not trying that bike again. He was even being offered to stay with Samael's car as to not deal with that again. "Ah, that might be an idea, yeah. And, thanks for the offer, but I'm fine without watching the race from the sidelines."As he turned off the bike's engine temporarily, Nase stretched his fingers and arms in preparation of the next lap. Thinking about what to do next, he looked over to the en... ento... ety... researcher, and noticed a weird noise coming from the blue-haired woman's vehicle. "Hey, you might want to check that ou-"Within moments, a part of the vehicle burst into flames, causing the teen to jump back a good distance as the mad scientist came in and put it out with a quick working fire extinguisher. It took a couple of moments, but luckily, it went out before it reached her. "Phew. Jeez, that needs to be taken care of before it's sold to people.""Not a problem, all of this testing has wonderful material so far, so if we can continue going, we should have enough information to make all of them perfect and ready for sale!""Huh, let's try and get through this alive then, yeah?"Nase's dry 'humour' was apparently enough to make Engin laugh in an even more loud and dramatic fashion than his usual tone. Watching as the man leaned further back into his manic laughter, Nase scratched his head in confusion and looked down at the bike he just rode in on. Thinking on what to do next, he thought between the choice of going for another vehicle in hopes that it would work better, or listening to his stubbornness which was telling him to try again using the bike, especially since Dr Engin had said that all the bike needed was that one reset that he slammed into it in his desperation. Gah, this was a troubling one. "Hm, I'm not sure which to pick... Ah, I'm too stubborn for my own good."Slapping his hand against the top of the jet-cycle while turning it on, Nase let it hover next to him as he continued speaking. "If something happens this time, then I'll change. But now, I'm... willing to try again.""Aha! A true scientist! Your help shall make our motorcycles truly the best in the world!"Leaning away from the man and awkwardly laughing, Nase raised his hands up as a way to deny the compliment and continued. "Nah... I'm just really stubborn, is all. I do think I can get it to work, though."Stepping over the hoverbike and holding onto the handles with a more fierce grip this time, Nase readied himself for the next lap, unknowingly activating the draining device in his palms. Suddenly feeling a sort of connection with the vehicle again, Nase revved the bike before mentally preparing for the race again. "I'm ready to go if you all are."... "Alright! 3... 2... 1... GO!"Ysv8szFQ1-100 "Hey! This is actually... really fun!"Boosting through the intended path for the test, Nase would repeatedly duck and weave along the track, not out of necessity, but just out of the pure enjoyment of it. Drifting out of the twisting part of the racetrack, Nase got to the part of the track that went on the wall and didn't even have to worry about the sudden gravity shift tilting over sideways. Going at extreme speeds, but not as fast as Cilan did that first time, unfortunately, Nase kept going faster and faster until he came back to the finish line again and stopped with a hard drift that stopped him immediately. Pointing a determined thumbs up at Engin, not even noticing the slight green aura that had formed around him. "That was much better!""Wonderful! I knew that my jet-cycle design would be a success. I did not plan for the eerie glowing, however."Confused by this, Nase asked for clarification, thinking he misheard. "Huh? Glowing? What are you talking abou- Oh cra-"

Isaac was a bit disappointed that Nase rejected his offer, even with the advice of the young Natasha. However, even the stoic Isaac jumped in his seat when Natasha's hood bursted into flames. As Dr. Engin went to take care of the problem. Isaac got a quick glance at what was under the hood and took a quick pic with his special camera shades. Impressive how they were able to fit so much into there. Though with all of the bugs these vehicles has removed them for the final product will be a pain in the ass for these people, and would cost them a lot more money as well. He was surprised to see the latecomer ride her hoverbike without any problems and is way ahead of them in the race. Nase seems to be getting a hang of his vehicle too. Time to stop taking things slow then. As Isaac shifts the gear to begin going as fast as he can. SirRwrbf1d100
It was then in a burst of speed Isaac's car went forward. While going through a tunnel he manages to drive along the walls of it and above Nase getting in front of him. Keeping an eye on him in one of his rear view mirrors. He noticed the green aura around him and hope that means it's because he is a Ki User and not because of some form of radiation. Isaac really needs to get those cybernetic scouter implants in his eyes.

Despite Dr. Samael and her own protests, Nase opted to give his bike one more try. "Alright, then," smiling in a surprisingly unawkward manner, Natasha bowed. "I hope you succeed with making it work." If she could see herself now, it would be a good sign. Maybe her acting was improving. Or maybe she was sincerely impressed with his grit. Either way, the commotion was over. She made her way back to her own vehicle, and with just one more bit of reassurance from Dr. Engin, she decided to try it again despite that disaster. She moved it back to the starting line, and gave the engines a good revving before releasing the brakes. 4GLlKoxk1d100Maybe revving it wasn't such a good idea. The ant-lion hover car sped forward at a rapid pace, much greater than someone like Natasha could control. Once again, she shrieked as the vehicle spun out of control and almost repeated its previous attempt to hit the wall. This time, she knew a bit more, though, and she was able to stop a bit faster than earlier. No chance of taking the lead this lap now. But at least she would still get to the finish line this time around. Best thing to do then was to take it slow and steady... which eventually paid off, as despite that rocky start, and getting completely left behind in the dust by the other three, she did end up reaching the finish line, if at a snail's pace. Again, she bowed in apology. "Sorry, everyone. I... I'm just trying to be a bit more careful.""Oh, don't worry about it!" Dr. Engin went on in his usual manic fashion. "That girl is a lot tougher than she looks! You gotta be if you're going to survive crash testing!""I... see..." The doctor's words were lost on her, as her attention instead shifted to Nase, who was glowing... green, for some reason. She gasped. If Azure had her scouter right now, this would have been an interesting thing to analyse. And if Cerola had her corneal scouter right now, the analysis would have been far more in-depth... 357/10025/12000 Nase Cilan Isaac Grey1d100

At this point, Cilan would find herself sailing across the track at almost max speed, into one of the tunnels, where she then realized that Nase and Isaa- no, Samael was catching up. As for what happened before, she could only assume that Nase and the blue-haired female's vehicles were malfunctioning, but it was rather odd Nase decided to use the same hoverbike. "Woohoo! I've never had this much fun in a long time!" She exclaimed. Her brother would make that super hard. But, she learned how to live with his annoyance.
Now, she would find herself close to the finish line.
PLzrV25I1d100
Well, she was have fun, yes. But, not for long. Once she crossed the finish line, she could feel her hoverbike begin to.. well, malfunction. Just like the others, sadly. She slowly lost control of the prototype. Maybe.. going near max speed was not the best idea. As she tried to take a sharp turn, by drifting, she would begin to spin off the track, almost crashing into a wall, which was rather.. embarrasssing. This was an occurrence that she.. kind of anticipated. She knew that she wouldn't feel a thing even if she ended up crashing into the wall, but still. "Aw, c'mon. I was doing so well!"
The scientist, on the other hand, began to chuckle. "Hohoho! You should probably slow down, young lady."
A frown was evident on the teenager's face as he said this. "Hm, fine.." So much for having fun. She totally lost her momentum.
