Post by Vidar (PROJECT: RAGNAROK) on Jul 8, 2020 16:09:44 GMT -8
He was moving rather quickly, dodging out of the path of falling rubble; massive chunks of the obsidian-like material from which this strange temple was constructed came crumbling down around him. One particular large chunk missed him by mere inches; the force of it hitting the ground was so great that he was almost knocked clear off his feet.
DANGER. DANGER. DANGER.
The alarms inside of his head were going off nonstop. It was beginning to get irritating. But it was part of his programming, part of his system; it was warning him of impending danger to his life. That is what Doctor Kringle called the life preserver programming; being a cyborg, he did not fear death as much as a normal average individual, and the lack of a survival instinct, Doctor Kringle felt was a detriment. He felt that it could lead to his own destruction. So, he helped him understand the benefits of one and then he also implanted the life preserver system as a backup just in case.
And that life preserver system was going mad.
DANGER. DANGER. DANGER.
Every few seconds. But, it made sense. The entire structure around him was going to hell and back. Large chunks of debris fell around him, and some, like the last massive piece, missed him by so little that he felt the smooth stone against his side before the force of it impacting the ground almost threw him onto his ass.
He peered over at the fallen stone, his yellow eyes grazing over it, and much like before, staring at that strange material, not found on any of his many databanks, caused his head to spin. He had to look away from it. Good thing he did, not far away, he could see Achido. The young man was making his way over to Vidar. "I am not detecting the energy levels of any students," He peered around, his scanners kicking into high gear causing his bright yellow eyes to take on a golden glow. Though, while he did not pick up the energy levels of any students, he did pick up the energy reading of someone else, Shinryu, who had been with him when he ran into Vali. Where was Vali? Where was Doctor Kringle? Where were any of them? Did they just disappear into nothingness when this place started to fall apart? He had not seen them in some time now; so that must have been it. Whatever strange phenomenon caused them to end up in this realm, this universe, this world, it had come to a screeching halt when the temple began to collapse. He could only assume they were thrust back into their own proper world.
Mai Mai was with Shinryu, the young man's lover was also there. It appeared that everyone in the room with him were being released from the worlds that they had been thrust into upon arriving there. "We should get out of here now before this whole place is underwater. I would be able to survive for some time, but I am sure that you all need oxygen to live," well that was one of the follies of not being an upgraded organism like Vidar, "If you cannot fly, I will carry you out...Or, I will try." He waved his one good arm. "I can carry two people, at most, but the second will have to hang onto me quite tightly so as to avoid falling. I'd suggest making the choice quickly."
He offered an arm to Achido, well his only good arm, and then he motioned to Mai Mai if she desired to hang onto him so they could fly out. Though Shinryu was also free to grab hold of him though it would make things a bit more difficult. Still, whomever hung onto him, clung to him, he took off into the air with them as he flew them upwards, jumping from one fallen boulder to the next, propelling himself upward higher and higher until he saw the light filtering into the temple through the open roof and he burst out of the top and into the sunlight. He could only hope the third person, whether it be Shinryu or Achido or whomever had decided not to let him carry them out was able to keep up.

Achido could tell that the one armed android was trying to make his escape now, so when the hand was offered, he just shook his head slowly. "I can’t leave my friends behind, but I will make sure to find you after this is over, I promise!" He said in a serious, yet excited tone of voice. He couldn't leave Konja, Cayle, Ty, and even the other students who were trapped. He had to find his friends and get the hell out of the temple that was crumbling around him.
With Vidar flying off to escape, Achido looked down the long rubble fallen hall. He suddenly got the urge to run off in that direction, so he did just that. He pushed off the boulders on the ground, boosting his speed to help make it through this current mess. "I’ll find them no matter what it takes!" He thought to himself, as he continued to push forward through the collapsing temple.
The young martial artist had to focus on his senses to find his friend’s current location. The closest of them all was Konja, so he pushed even harder to close the distance between himself and the beautiful saiyan woman. She and Achido have become close over such a short span of time, which caused the blonde teen to develop something more than he had expected. Whatever it was, Achido could not lose focus at a time like this.
As Achido could sense that Konja was getting close, he could see the light way ahead of his current location and a shadowy figure as well. Was it her? "Konja?" He yelled out, then flew straight ahead and maneuvered around several falling pieces of the crumbling temple to make it way toward the exit of this chaotic place.

“Zaru?” Tiger Lily spoke under her breath, it had been a long time since she had seen him in the southern lands, she did not expect him to be in Pilaf Land of all places, and her attention was refocused on the disheveled light mauve haired teenager who took her hand with a light grip at first. The half saiyan gripped her hand tightly before taking flight, the snow leopard beastman was tugged along in her other hand, and they escaped through a hole in a ceiling as the temple continued to flood. Through the rumbling of the falling debris, she did not hear Lilith’s complaints, there was hardly time to hold a conversation when safety was a primary concern. It was night fall when they left the flooding structure, she flew over across the beach where master Daiko watched from afar, he promised not to allow anyone else in while they were in there, and the expression on his face was relieved to see familiar faces.
“I am going to make sure everyone else gets out safely. Please take care of yourselves.” Ty released Lilith’s hand and the snow leopard's paw, leaving them on the beach of Pilaf Land, taking flight to go back into the ruined temple.
When she returned, she caught a glimpse of a blue carapace insect boy and Kite talking to a dark skinned tailed saiyan she recalled seeing carrying a woman before going into the temple. The teenagers seemed to be in a daze and Ty shouted at them.
“The temple is flooding and crumbling over, come on, take my hand, and we can get out of here together!” She reached out to Baccer and Kite at the same time extending her hand while in mid air, “Kite! Snap out of it, we gotta go! Help me grab this kid if you have to.”

Will did not appreciate his tone when he turned his back to him, nor did he like his way of thinking, but he needed all the help he could get. He then looked behind to Baccer. "I know you're probably confused but it seems we're back in the real world, the only other people here seem to be everyone else who entered this temple, now come on!" he quickly explained. As he is walking forward he then realizes the state of the ruins as he steps in a puddle and sees the walls leaking water. This means that the part of the temple they are is beneath the water, which is not good for any of them. Using whatever energy he has left he begins to float and fly forward going faster then he was on foot. While flying he keeps focusing his sensing abilities to sense out anyone else since that surge of energy seems to be gone now, so far he can sense a few people familiar to him like Cayle. Then as he was going to go to Cayle he then sensed Shinryu and began to fly over to where he sensed him. There he was along with his wife, both appear to be in good shape. Will honestly wanted to scold him for going inside, but he's too happy to see him alive that he didn't want to scold him. "I am glad to see that you are alright Shinryu, come on we need to find the others," Will said. He then realized the fur on his face was still wet from the tears. "Oh some of the water splashed onto my face, don't mind that," Will said as he begins to wipe his face with one of his sleeves, or at least the remnant of one of his sleeves as his Gi is currently a mess from his battle with his dastardly double. It didn't take long for him to fly to where Cayle and his friends were at along with the people who have entered this temple long before them. And have most likely been here longer then they have. It seems they were freed from their strange imprisonments as well, he could only imagine what they had to go through. "I see you are need of assistance, luckily I have something that could help, come Flying Nimbus!" Will said. From outside the magic flying cloud reached the room before even a minute has passed. "I can only take people out on it with me one at a time, two if they're both small, also they need to be pure of heart but this should be the quickest way to get most of these people out," Will said. He then jumped on the cloud and scooted a bit to give some room for whoever wanted to step up, as someone who is wearing Pilaf Land memorabilia steps up and manages to get onto the cloud. "Please keep your arms and legs inside the cloud at all times, oh and you might want to hold on tight," Will said. And with that, he zipped out of the room and while everyone was staring wide-eyed it didn't take long before the cat man flew back in to repeat the process as much as he could.
"Alright whose next? Let's get the children out of here first," Will said. It was then that all of the young ones, about ten years old to fourteen-year-olds, who were either tourists or various Martial Arts students who heard the rumors and wanted to see for themselves, would get on Will's cloud one at a time. Thankfully being so young that their hearts aren't tainted, or at least not tainted yet anyway. Hopefully, they can get over any traumatization this whole experience got them through. As he managed to get all of the young ones out. As he flew back inside with his fur all puffed up being dried out by going so fast, he combs his fur down as he looks to everyone there.
"Okay that's all of the kids, does anyone else want to ride on a magic cloud?" Will asked.

Baccer was mostly just dumbfounded by the whole experience. This temple visit her been... quite the experience. Fighting his double, then someone else's double, then the universe going boom, and not meeting back up with the person whose double they fought. Sadly, being excited/confused/curious about the situation came second. First order of business was getting out of here. Luckily for him, it seemed will had at least something resembling a plan. He summoned a... flying cloud? it come and pick everyone up... at that point Baccer kinda felt like he was the most surprised person in the room, and tried to temper his excitement a little bit. It had... mixed success, and once the catman returned with the empty cloud and asked who wanted a ride, he couldn't help but raise a hand and exclaim "Ohh. Me, me" with an overly childish tone. Then again, he was technically only 3 years old. So could you blame him?.
While waiting for the catman's reply, the bio-android did have some time to reflect on what he saw there. He wasdefinitely confused. But overall, he could mark this experience as something positive. He came out of it stronger after all. Although right now he wanted nothing more than to ust move on from this place and it's shenanigans

Seeing Will O. Wisp crying over someone that he isn't even related to made Kite think about his own 'family'. He didn't even think of it as that. His father was hardly even there, to be honest. He simply waited for Will O. Wisp to finish his conversation with Baccer, who looked more like a bug man, which slightly bothered the teen, before he began to follow the cat around the area. He observed the building once more as the walls leaked as the water tried to get inside the building and ceiling which leaked and dripped on his body. While Kite accompanied the feline, he stopped abruptly in his tracks, as he tried to sense the ki signature of the others that were currently inside the temple. He could sense Cayle's and Ty's ki signature. Even Lilith's, although her's was slightly faint.
His thought process was then disturbed once Cayle exclaimed, basically asking if there was anyone there that was able to help someone in the temple. Kite hasn't learnt how to fly as yet, which sucked in his opinion. So, he just stood there. He didn't think that someone would even try to help him and he really didn't care. He was mostly paying attention to the fact that everyone was helping each other and that cat was crying for some martial artist and his wife or something like that. He pretty much felt useless. Having to depend on others to get through life. He knew that someone would probably help him, but not as early as he wanted to be helped. He could hear Lilith complaining with her stupid tantrums and insults again, just like she was doing outside the temple when they had there little fight with Copy.
"Tch, that idiot. Will she ever stop?" He said under his breath. Speaking of that shape shifter, he couldn't sense her, well.. it's energy at all. That thing must've died. Kite was genuinely surprised that the girl that only threw insults at people managed to survive and that shapeshifter didn't make it. Maybe she was already outside, who knows? He stood in that exact position for a few minutes, until Ty came over and tried to help him and Baccer. "Wh- Huh?" He said. He didn't even realize that she was there, although he clearly could've sensed her ki signature. "Oh, right!" He said, as he quickly dashed towards the kid that Ty was referring to. "Alright, we're getting out of here! I'm guessing that you've been here for a while, huh?" He would ask, after which, dashing towards Ty before grabbing her hand.

Post by Konja of Clan Korm on Jul 15, 2020 5:43:27 GMT -8
The light was near, and Konja could almost find herself outside. She could hear other voices now, beyond there. An unmistakably familiar commanding voice that could only have been Cayle. That old cat martial artist from the pirate raid. Others, still. Her feet felt like weights, so uncharacteristically slow, even as they pulverised any bit of rubble that happened to be in her way. Perhaps it was still the lingering doubt that maybe, if she could delay her exit by just another split second, she could spot some sign of Achido, or the others who she couldn't hear outside.
Just another half of a moment...
That nagging dissatisfaction of leaving someone behind, of failing what she'd come to do...
Would she really have to put up with it this time? Sift through the rubble of the completely collapsed temple like a looter picking through the fallen of a battlefield?
"Konja!"
She almost tripped at that voice calling out from behind. Instead, Konja stopped her fall, stamping her foot down so hard it cratered the floor below. Whether it was her brain shorting out in a moment of utter shock, or the loud admonishment of her gut with its stream of "I told you so's", that voice put a stop to her dash to the exit.
She turned around as fast as her feet could pivot. In the darkness of the collapsing hall, she could make out a shape, and a very familiar, if somewhat altered aura. If it wasn't Achido, then maybe it was his double. But how could a double even know her? No, it had to be him.
The fast food cashier broke into another sprint, this time back the way she came, to meet with that friend she met while at work, who she made ice sculptures with at a contest. Who taught her his earthly style with his staff...
Konja couldn't see him all too well in the dark, but there wasn't enough time to make absolutely sure. "Achido! I found you!" One could hear the rare hint of relief in her voice as she said this, if they were observant enough, and not distracted by the rumblings of the falling temple. "Now let's get out of here!"
She wrapped her right arm around his left. "Brace yourself..." And with all her might, she burst forward, hoping to push hard enough for the both of them. The light seemed ever so closer now...

Post by Kiryu on Jul 15, 2020 18:28:37 GMT -8
It happened far more quickly than he could possibly have anticipated. Kiryu Miyazawa, a self styled protector, a would be savior, had defeated his doppelganger, made his way towards an ally of his, Cayle Pota, and had been recuperating, marshaling his powers for the fight that he had been sure was coming.
Nothing could have prepared him for what came next.
The conflagration of energy came so quickly, Kiryu didn't even know what was occurring. One minute, he was standing in the temple, and the next, he was... elsewhere. When Kiryu looked around, he saw only inky blackness... only void. And in this void...
There was pain.
Kiryu felt, rather than saw, the energy signatures around them. Through his enhanced senses, his ability to feel energy both physical and mystical, Kiryu could sense dozens, if not hundreds, of entities in the area around him. They were numerous. They were alien. And the one thing he felt, deep in the hollow of his bones, cold in his gut, was that they were hungry.
Kiryu focused. Even here, in the void, in this place between places, he was not alone. He was not powerless. He had his strength. He had his will. He had his magics, and he felt even more deeply connected to them than ever before. Kiryu focused and, with that focus, a blinding incandescence bloomed around him. Things wrought from shadow and horror slid away, leaving him with only flashes of their chtonic forms, and as he concentrated, Kiryu chanted, low and steady, his sonorous voice echoing throughout this place, one that had likely never heard human speech.
"Durkh meyn makht aun durkh meyn blut, durkh rut aun durkh shtekn aun durkh rege, durkh di magish ikh veld aun di masteri ikh haltn, ir vet beygn tsu meyn farlang!"
As he intoned the last syllable in that ancient tongue...
A sound.
It was as though seven thunders uttered their voices. Silence screamed. The rasp of ages froze his marrow and a voice issued forth from a throat that sounded like it was formed of dead leaves.
"AT LAST YOU HAVE COME."
It was quiet. So, so quiet, but it raged, deep in his chest. His ears were bleeding. His mind was screaming. And in the void...
A pair of yellow eyes stared at him.
It hurt to look at. Kiryu felt as though he might lose a part of his sanity it was so WRONG but he had to look he had to see he had to know.
A man sat in a cell. It was arrayed in darkness but he couldn't look to closely because he knew that in the darkness there was all the madness of war and chaos and death that had ever been. That ever would be.
The thing smiled. It reached out and Kiryu's chest felt like it was going to collapse. His lungs were filled with molten liquid and he could not even open his mouth to scream...
But he would not give in. With one last, desperate gasp, Kiryu pushed through the pain. He drew an abjuring ward in the air in front of him, and he felt from the entity before him...
Surprise.
Surprise and rage and... delight.
"AT LAST YOU HAVE COME, AND YOU ARE WORTHY. SO MUCH POWER FOR AN EARTHSPAWN. YOU WILL SERVE ME WELL, VESSEL. YOU WILL-"
Kiryu screamed his defiance. The ward was working. The pain was receding. Kiryu dug deep within himself, remembering what he had done on the island of Aegis, and, desperately, reached out with his energy, tearing a veil through the very fabric of reality...
And he came back to a crumbling temple.
Kiryu found himself in a crumbling passageway, one that was populated by others, surely some of the ones that had joined him in their assault on this forsaken place. Kiryu's entire body seemed to call out for rest... but there was still work to be done.
Kiryu walked down the corridor, calling upon his magic as he did so. He summoned several mystical constructs, utilizing his arcane might to hold whatever sections of the collapsing area up that he could. He wouldn't be able to stop the whole thing from collapsing; he was far too tired for that, but he could at least delay the destruction of the area in as long as possible, giving others a moment to get out.
Kiryu moved towards the entrance, the light beckoning him forward, freedom and safety so close he could taste it.
Before he exited, Kiryu stopped, turning back, focusing his full energy and effort on securing the passageway as well as he possibly could. There he would remain, expending all of his power if need be. He would push himself to the brink of exhaustion if it meant getting anyone out of there that otherwise would not have made it. Everyone may already have been out, he couldn't be sure, but Kiryu was absolutely certain that he would not leave anyone behind by accident.

To Lillithe's response, Cayle spared barely less than a glance. “Prissy Witch, if I was asking you specifically I would have said Lillithe, wouldn't I have? Don't be so self-important that you're gonna but in if you aren't gonna help.”
Indeed, without hesitation or wasting another word on Lillithe, Cayle began to fly through the devestated roof, carrying four people at a time, one over each shoulder as he bulked up using the 'Giant Form' technique, and one hugged against his arm and the person being draped over his shoulder. He did this method of carrying five before he focused on things again, and as he noticed those who had entered to try to save Achido each making their way out, he began to focus on trying to sense any of the others.
Steadily, it seemed as if the others had taken his advice and actually carried people out- and he couldn't focus his spiritual energy detection abilities, especially not while exhausted and physically wore as he was, to detect any others. Helping one last group of scragglers, he flew out of the temple and towards the sandbar which made up the 'island' the temple was on.
Outside of this, the Saiyan would-be warlord said nothing, focusing on his task and fighting against the waves of exhaustion that made him fly in mimickry of a plane caught in turbulance.

Will O. Wisp was surprised to see Baccer of all people be ecstatic as a kid and volunteer to get on. Guess you don't judge a book by its cover. Although he did felt inadequate seeing Cayle take four people out at once. As he only could do one at a time, and even then only with those the Flying Nimbus would let ride on it. Nevertheless, Will managed to help get enough of the people out on his own. And it seemed all the civilians have been taken out. As the place started to rumble and shake it seemed high time for them to get out as well. He doesn't know if Baccer can be able to get on it, but he is about the same size as Will. So he grabs Baccer and puts him over the shoulders and manages to quickly fly out and drop him to a beach as he flies back in. He goes back to get to Shinryu and his wife. "Get on the Flying Nimbus, we'll try to fit you all on here, I'll ride on Shinryu's shoulders," he said. He then hopped off giving them a chance to ride it before he would hop on with them, that is if they accept the offer. He can always fly out himself.

A familiar cat on a yellow cloud emerged from the dusty veil of a crumbling ceiling, she was certain it was about to cave in at any moment, but a familiar ki signature belonging to Kiryu was using his magic to prevent the temple from trapping anyone inside. Everyone she came across seemed worn, a few with a hollowed expression on their faces, and the opportunity to escape the temple was diminishing by the second. Tiger Lily took Kite’s hand, while being in imminent danger, the insect teen was eager to ride with the cat completely unfazed, so she nodded at the feline to take care of Baccer while she took Kite with her.
On the way out, she grinned at the magus, who was at the entrance keeping everyone safe with what remained of his magic. “Thanks, Kiryu!”
Ty managed to say as she flew out into the moonlight outside, she looked over to see Konja and Achido escape around the same time, and landed on the beach next to Cayle who dropped off several other people she had never seen before from the temple.
“I think that’s everyone.” Ty dropped Kite in the sand, “Cayle! Are you alright? I never seen you so exhausted before, what happened?”

Post by Kinryu "The Shinryu" Kyto on Jul 30, 2020 19:55:47 GMT -8
“Ahh!” Mai-Mai cried out in fear as she saw a massive chunk of stone falling down towards her. Fortunately, this cry for help was not ignored as Kinryu Kyto pulled her beside him as he fired a Ki blast disintegrating it to dust. “Oh shit Shinryu, that was too close. We need to get these people out of here.”“How?” Kinryu Kyto was honestly confused, wondering how he could help carry all of these students and Mai-Mai at the same time. “This place is collapsing too fast. I can only carry you and maybe one other person at a time.”Fortunately for both of them, Master Will O-Wisp was able to provide an answer for this dilemma by summoning his personal Flying Nimbus, a sentient magical cloud like the one Kinryu Kyto’s mother Son Dan has. It quickly grew large enough to carry most of the injured students who were trapped inside of this despicable temple. Kinryu Kyto and Mai-Mai quickly helped place as many students onboard as they could. After Master Will O-Wisp departed with the students, Kinryu Kyto quickly noted to himself that the small handful of people who were remaining inside of the temple appeared not to be capable of flight on their own, like Mai-Mai. Causing him to blurt out. “Oh shit this mess again.”But fortunately, once again Master Will O-Wisp returned quickly with his nimbus offering a lift to those remaining and unable to fly. Kinryu Kyto did not appreciate Master Will O-Wisp volunteering his assistance with getting him also out of here, but he bit his tongue because now was not a situation that he would have the time to allow his pride to get the better of him. “Mai-Mai, climb up on his Nimbus. We’ll be right behind you.” After Mai-Mai took a seat on the floating cloud, Kinryu Kyto kneeled down to give Master Will O-Wisp a chance to hop on his shoulders and fly out of this cursed death trap. “You know Master Will I normally only carry my baby sister around like this.”Once they were outside Kinryu Kyto landed close to where Master Will O-Wisp’s Nimbus had let the other escapees off at. So Master Will O-Wisp could reclaim his Nimbus and also Kinryu could do the same with his girlfriend. Embracing Mai-Mai as he said to her with a crooked smile. “Well it didn’t turn out to be too bad of a trip, but I got to ask you a quick question. How would you feel about me buying you an outfit like the one we saw inside of there?”“Shinryu,” The grateful smile on Mai-Mai’s face disappeared as she pushed Kinryu Kyto back from her. As she continued to speak a new duplicate bearing an angry expression appeared with each word spoken by her. “What.. did.. you.. just.. Say?”The look of shocked fear on Kinryu Kyto’s face was intensive as he curled his arms up defensively over his head. “It was just a joke.”WC:500 TWC:4594 ( Shadow Anomaly part 1 + Fighting Evil by Moonlight (2,541 graded) ) Vengance - Vidar (1487) | Finale (666)
