Eventually the scorching stream had to fade. Lilith was left quivering like a leaf in the wind. Gasping for air. Her mana tanks were running empty... N-not because they were particularly small or anything like that! As a matter of fact, they were perfectly fine. Inferno Hex was simply a demanding, high-level spell. Very draining. So imagine her immense frustration when the dust settled and neither foe had turned to a pile of ash. For a brief moment, a chill crawled down her spine. That had been her strongest spell... And it hadn’t even made a dent... Maybe she was... No! No, nonono, absolutely not. She refused to even consider the possibility. They simply dodged. That’s all.
When the two rude peasants dared to keep running their mouth, the shiver vanished from the girl’s mind. Righteous indignation hogged its seat. Her lips already parted, ready to spit back a scathing retort. ...Unfortunately it was buried beneath another ground-shaking blast. While she narrowly avoided the white blast, the onyx one got her all the worse. An enormous explosion engulfed her entirely. She was thrown backwards, crashing right into the unforgiving temple wall. A nasty crack echoed across the stone. Her lips were stained by a crimson cough. Her robes were scorched and torn in several places, threatening her modesty as her pale skin shone through. In a single hit she was reduced to a bleeding, smoldering heap.
But... That indignation refused to die...
Slowly the witch pushed herself upright. As soon as she managed to get some air back into her lungs, her furious shout chimed over the mayhem. Much like a silver bell. ...Being shaken violently. “Enough! I will not be humiliated by some ill-mannered yokels!” Wicked magic started circling her frail frame. The crippling curse was shattered by sheer anger. Her beloved spellbook fluttered closer to her. Its pages started turning again, until it found... the chapter of curses. Gathering her focus, she uttered an ominous threat. “You will pay... for everything you have done to me...” Desperation was a dangerous thing... Tch, these people and their personal problems. Kite didn't want to get involved at this point, he just wanted to deal with that demon that copied his form. He didn't even want to deal with Lilith anymore. She learnt her lesson already. Once that onyx coloured dragon blast connected with her, she was smashed into the temple wall, and showed signs of bleeding. Yeah, there was no reason to pay attention to her anymore. As for this.. doppelganger, she needed to be taken care of. Once she shapeshifted again, this time, she went in the form of this nun. "What? A nun? Do you think you're this innocent.. thing?.. well think again. You're a demon, and demons are bad. Leave the witch alone. I won't allow you to hurt her anymore. Look.. she's bleeding. Isn't that enough for you to see?"Once that onyx coloured Dragon Blast came at him, he crossed his arm, taking the blast full on. The smoke from the blast engulfed him, and once the area was cleared, what was revealed was Kite.. smirking.. with both his arms aimed at Copy, charging up two white ki blasts. Lilith had finally been taken care of. She simply couldn't withstand the sheer strength of Copy's attack, and ended up the way she is now. Rather... underwhelming. In the teenager's case, he sustained the damage that the shapeshifter's attack dished out, and remained standing, appearing rather cocky even. As to be expected from someone with a base power as high as he. He still shouldn't be too difficult to take care of. Copy heard the contradictory dialogue of the boy, and began to turn her head to face him, but the witch... Miss Nevermore, was not finished. Her own shout travelled across the beach, and Copy simply could not stop herself from ignoring Kite for a few moments. This witch... was still standing for whatever reason. Whether it be through strength, magic, tenacity or sheer willpower, the fact still remained. Lilith wouldn't go down without a fight, and she was angry, very angry. That sense of pride around her... it would be her downfall. She had underestimated the demon and the boy, and she would pay dearly for it. At the threat Nevermore made, Copy cocked her head. "Surely, you must be kidding."Copy began to walk towards the little lady, but the boy would not be ignored completely. He fired two bursts of dragon shaped ki at the nun, who continued walking. Not even bothering to turn her head to look at the child. They both slammed into some sort of force field made of energy around the demon. It was only half invisible, and it glowed with the beautiful shade of black. It dissipated on contact with them both, and it broke into several different glass shaped pieces. The impact of it caused a spark of pain to travel through her body, and caused her to stumble, but she quickly regained her footing and continued to trot on unhindered as if nothing had happened. As she began to near the witch, Copy casually procured an energy blast in her left palm and tossed it in the direction of the boy without even glancing at him. There was a high probability that it would completely miss it's target, but it was meant to keep him busy for the time being rather than harming him. Now standing before Nevermore, she smirked. "Come now, Nevermore! I know your lineage was no pushover. Surely you can show me just how powerful they were... unless I'm mistaken."Her sky blue eyes darkened to a bloody red. Her teeth seemed to grow sharper, and a black aura of her own erupted from her body, kicking up sand and flattening the immediate area.

As soon as the shirtless boy had spoken his mind, the shouting stopped. Deathly silence swept over the battlefield. Out of all the things the witch had endured today, those words were by far the worst... They cut deeper than any half-baked insult thrown her way. Hurt more than any physical assault. Oh, how she hated that tone... Despised that look in people’s eyes... Pity. The worst blow to a noble’s honor. Her empty hand balled into a trembling fist, while the other clutched the wand so tightly her knuckles turned white.
“Coward.”
The word was spat out with utter contempt. Lilith’s crimson glare threatened to drill a hole in Kite’s back. A deep breath hissed between her lips. “This is why I cannot stand you peasants... First you spew death threats and assault me like a mindless monkey, then you dare act like some kind of protector? As if you played no part in this violence? Disgusting.” She aimed a sharp point at the boy. “You are a spineless hypocrite, no better than that demon.” She had no patience for pretenders.
And speaking of the demon...
Slowly the hateful crimson stare turned towards the grinning menace. She stared directly up at the twisted, demonic visage. Despite her situation, her eyes held no fear... Only bitter hate. “And you... What would a pale imitation know of a noble lineage? You merely wear borrowed faces, desperately pretending to be someone.” Her eyes narrowed and a cold, little smile tugged at her lips. “But deep down you are no one. And you will never be anyone.” Even this form was mockery of what that thing really was beneath it. Probably something grotesque.
Lilith shifted her glare between the two opponents. “You think you are better than me? Lady Nevermore? Well, you are not. Neither of you.” Everything she had seen here enforced her twisted views. Sir Miyazawa was wrong, there was nothing to gain from mingling with mortals. They were all rude and violent brutes. “I am of noble blood and you are mere commoners. Fools too poor and idiotic to understand your place in the world.” And since violence was the only language they spoke, she would put this in a way that wouldn’t get lost in translation...
The witch cupped her hand. Magic gathered into an orb. “Suffer the pain of conquest, famine and pestilence as your body withers away...” Colorful smoke swirled within. Yellow, blue, violet... Suddenly she crushed it. “Black Death.” Like a colorful tidal wave, the smog swallowed the area. Anyone breathing it would find a terrible disease spreading through their body. However, she wasn’t done yet. Her wand crackled with spiteful magic. The spark spread across the lingering haze like electric current. It threatened to curse the boy who had trampled over her pride.

Once the ki blasts were totally avoided by that energy shield, Kite said "Ugh, damn you. That won't save you a next time."The more these people blabberred, the more Kite got irritated, specially Lilith. Even though she had sustain all of those injures, she still decides to insult him, and they wasn't acceptable the way Kite looked at it. "Ok, if that's how it's going to be then so be it. Don't come running to me when this demon takes care of your sorry ass. Just don't interfere between me and this.. thing. If you dare to attack me once more, I'm going to kill you."Yeah, he wasn't going to kill anyone. He was just kidding. While he spoke, Copy aimed one of her Dragon Blast at him, but Kite didn't even have to move. He moved his head slightly to the left. Even though Kite gave Lilith that warning, she still tried to attack him.. at that point, Kite decided that even though he won't attack her, he would stop defending her. As the smug came over the area, the Kite decided to let his aura come to life for a bit, so that the gush of wind would clear his area. His aura flared up around him for a few moments, clearing up the smog around him. He didn't waste a second, as he charged up two white ki blasts. The witch that Copy regarded had released her rage in the form of words, words that struck the air powerfully and savagely. Once she began to speak to the demon, Copy had crossed her arms in front of her, only half interested in whatever insults she might have had to spew out this time. However, these insults weren't just insults. Copy's dark, crimson pupils began to contract as she processed each and every coherent sentence that Nevermore put together and launched at her. Her smirk didn't leave her face, but every single thing that she heard from the witch, as plain and simple as each word was, was true in a way. The arrogance and pride that brimmed in her personality needed to fixed urgently. There were several ways in which Copy could do this, but everyone prefers the old fashioned and most straightforward way. Dishing out a proper beatdown. If only that annoying little child wasn't in the way... but either way, he poses no threat to her in the current state she was in. The witch neither, even with her powerful magic and immeasurable stubbornness. Both would crumble beneath the feet of Copy, and both wouldn't be leaving this island without something broken. Now then... Lady Nevermore cast yet another one of her spells, a spell that came with a colorful mess of a sight. The little lady had to have been expending a lot of her energy in order to cast spells of this caliber, considering the fact that even Copy could feel the harmful magic that surrounded the area. Hastily, she crafted a second onyx orb of energy that encased her nun form, creating yet another shield around herself. The fog smashed into it, but was unable to make contact with the demon within. The energy began to dissapear and regroup inside of the palm of the shapeshifter who was now turning to face the irritating boy that had forced himself into the dire situation he was now in. The two blasts that left his hands fused into a single body of energy, bolting across the sea and towards Copy. The demon held up a hand, and caught the blast inside of her other palm. It burned the center of her hand, but it wouldn't leave any burn marks. She took the two spheres of energy she now held, one a deathly black, the other a holy white. She spun in a three hundred and sixty degree revolution, and in the process of doing so, released the white blast at the petite witch, and her own terrible black energy at the boy. She shouted at the witch. "You may be correct, little witch! I have no name, I have no identity, I have no family, I have no shape and I have no form. I have nothing. But unlike you, I have all the time in the world to change that. What do you have, Nevermore? Other than a spellbook and your meaningless heritage? Give me a challenge already! Both of you!"Her crimson eyes only seemed to grow darker with the second, as if another side of Copy was beginning to surface...

Once again Lilith found her spells failing. Disbelief and anger twisted her features. Why...? How?! She had cast her most potent curses, yet they were having no effect whatsoever. Like they didn’t even touch her foes... None of this made any sense! One freak of nature she could understand... Two was merely a coincidence... But three and four were an unsettling trend. Before she could sink too deep into dark thoughts, however, another insult yanked her right back out. She rolled her eyes at the boy’s claim. “And there you go again, barking like a chained dog.” Shaking her head, she sighed. “Your threats are as empty as your future.” She had seen killers and this uppity child certainly wasn’t one. Nothing but boasting and bravado.
The witch barely side-stepped yet another blast from the demon. And speaking of killers... She focused her glare on the bigger problem. Out of all the mad rambling, one detail hit deep. Stabbed like a dagger. One specific word in fact... The young lady lowered her gaze. A dark shadow covered her eyes. “...Excuse you?” The dark magic around her flared violently. “Who, pray tell, are you calling little?” She aimed a sharp point at the demonic creature, along with a venomous glare. “The word you are looking for is petite, you faceless mongrel.” A small, but important distinction. One was an insult and the other was a status symbol, obviously.
Falling for the demon’s taunts -yet again-, the caster abandoned any ideas of playing it safe. “Oh, I shall give you everything you deserve...” She waved her wand like a conductor leading an orchestra. The flame on the tip turned into a twinkling snowflake. “I call forth the wrath of winter...” The temperature started dropping rapidly. “Blizzard Hex.” She fired a blue bolt towards the skies. It started snowing. Glimmering flakes gently fell over the island. Suddenly, a massive gale of white wind howled across the battlefield. It carried the unnatural chill of the underworld. "Ah, damn it!" Yet again, Copy found a way to counter his ki attacks. She caught the Dragon Blast in her palm, and fired it at Lilith, and fired a onyx coloured blast of the the same colour at Kite. Kite managed to slap away the blast with ease, and he looked at Copy with a grimacing look on his face. As Lilith threw her tantrums and insults at Kite, he got angrier and angrier at this.. little woman. "Oh, now you've done it. It seems as if you want to feel my power don't you, well.. if that's the ca-" Immediately, he was interrupted once the area's temperature began to fall. It was pretty cold, colder than usual.. but Kite managed to bear it for the most part. He always liked the cold weather, especially when it was cold. He'd walk around in the cold all night when it was Christmas. But.. with this temperature, but wasn't that easy. He fell on his knees on the ground as it got colder and colder, as well as when it started to snow. But then a very wide smirk appeared on his face, as he looked at Lilith. He started to laugh menacingly as he looked at the petite female. "Hahahahaha! Did you really think that that attack would work on me.. man.. you're going to be sorry that you insulted me. That's a promise. You don't insult someone that you know would literally pummel you to the ground.. little girl. You blabber all the time, throwing insults at others like some nine year old. How old are you? Here, let's see how you dodge this, kid." Yeah, he called her a little girl, in other words, a kid. She acted like a kid anyways, at least.. in Kite's opinion. He got up inspite of the cold weather, and charged up a ki blasts of the same colour as the snow surrounding him, and instead of firing it at the demon, he instead fired it at Lilith. "Here's a toy to play with." Not forgetting about Copy, he rurned towards her, having that same smirk on his face. "Hmm.. a challenge you say.. ok, I'll give you a challenge!"I mmediately, he began to charge up to ki blasts that had the colour of the snowy weather, instead of firing them both at her, he combined them both in front him. He then held both palms in front him, aiming the blast at Copy. "Here, take this! Dragon Blast!" He fired the dragon headed blast at Copy, putting more power into the attack than usual. The witch's anger only seemed to grow as time ticked. Honestly, Copy couldn't help but find the whole scene as anything other than amusing. If a single word, a word as simple as 'little' could offend the woman, then this world simply wasn't fit for her. If anything, the world would be better off without her within it. But Copy provides everyone with a chance. Even a lady as irredeemable as Miss Nevermore. Needless to say, the witch was upset and angry, and had decided to take a more different approach to the situation; by freezing her opponents. The chill that followed was deathly, and even Copy felt the coldness of the wind. The articles of clothing she seemed to wear were still nothing but extensions of her own body, and it was beginning to screw her over. Immediately, she ignited her aura, attempting to generate as much heat as was possible during the blaze of snow. Her eyes closed shut, and her hand tightened into fists. She crossed her arms before her, and planted her feet into the ground with a strong stomp. The force of the wind still managed to slightly move her, creating a few tracks in the ground. The chill almost seemed to bite her skin, showing little to no mercy to herself and Kite. Soon enough, the wind died down, and the chill still chipped away at her skin. Frostbite really was a massive bitch. The boy seemed more cocky than ever once Lilith's spell had finally been completed, yammering and yammering and yammering. On and on and on about how he was going to kick her ass. Well, it was a shame that he wouldn't be doing that anytime soon... because Copy was going to knock him out before he could. Copy allowed Kite to attack Lilith, since if they ended up beating each other senseless, Copy's self employed job would only become easier. Yet another dragon headed blast was fired at her, and Copy cocked her head to the side, allowing the blast to pass her head narrowly. It at least did something to slightly warm her body. Now then... Copy jumped backwards, creating some distance between herself and the other two idiots she faced. "Hmmm... Both of those attacks were good, but not good enough. Anyways.. "Copy dashed forward abruptly, heading straight for the little lady. She halted directly in front of the lavender headed girl, and calmly stared at her with a smile. If she was blind to the error of her ways... then maybe Copy could help fix her vision. Through humiliation. "You need some discipline."She swung her right palm suddenly, sending it flying full force towards Nevermore's left cheek. That's right. You read that right. She was attempting to deliver a godly and resounding slap across the little witch's depressing face. If this didn't work, well then, that would be rather awkward, now wouldn't it?

The two peasants continued to baffle the young noble by... well... living. They didn’t even have the common decency to freeze to death. How very rude. Worse yet, another blast came her way and she had nowhere near enough mana to dodge or deflect it. The beach shook and sand went flying. Her limp body tumbled back from the shockwave, wounded even further. At this rate she really might... No. Absolutely not. She refused to even consider it. Slowly, stubbornly, she pushed herself back onto her feet. “Is... that... all... peasant?” Blood dripped from her lips with each hateful word. This mouthy mortal was confirming what she had always thought... That the peasants were all heartless, mannerless and uneducated freaks.
She had been right all along...
Before the witch could properly remind the rude child of his rightful place, something far more bizarre shattered her concentration. Seeing the motion coming, she swayed back. Instead of a demonic claw or even a clenched fist, however, she dodged... a slap? Her hateful stare went blank. The battle was briefly smothered beneath awkward silence. Slow seconds crawled by... Finally the stunned girl managed to utter a baffled question. “Did... did you just try to slap me?” She was not ready for today. That demon probably didn’t even understand what a slap meant for a noble. With that unbelievable insult, the last echo of Kiryu’s words faded from her mind.
As soon as the disbelief wore off, Lilith’s brow furrowed. She aimed a sharp point at the demon. “First off... How dare you?” Her power flared, reignited by righteous indignation. It was the only thing that kept her standing anymore. On most days, she wouldn’t have been so annoyed by... whatever that attempt was... But today her patience had been worn thin. To Kite, it was extremely obvious that Lilith has had enough, even though she still decided to call her opponents peasants, and speak in a manner that showed that she still wanted to go on. Kite.. didn't approve of this. Why continue if you're weakened and overpowered by your opponents? Especially since it's not a friendly fight. Well, whatever. He didn't care anymore. Kite had nothing else to do, but to speak badly of Copy in his mind once the blast missed. But, that weird thing about it was.. he used up more ki than he expected to. It's as if.. that cold spell.. it interfered with his ki flow. "Mmph, you little cockroach. You think that spell will save you anytime soon? Hmm.. I think not. So.. I suggest you leave.. before this gets nasty. I won't defend you, or attack you once more. You've learnt your lesson, and now I give you permission to leave my presence. No, you don't have to tell me what you've learnt in today's class. Just leave."He said, figuratively. Even though she was obviously bruised, she still needed some emotional bruises. What struck this teenager though.. was the fact that Copy tried to slap Lilith in the face. Hmm.. was she trying to insult her? Well then, this was rather awkward. Copy's attempt at a slap wasn't even a slap in the first place. It was sudden, and only struck air as Lilith managed to sway back slightly and avoid it. The demon's brows perked upwards, and she began to stare blankly at her palm. Things were silent for a while... a long while. She really did fail, didn't she? Copy heard the boy's call to the far left, insisting that Lilith was nothing more than an injured woman who didn't have the strength to go on. What was he? A genuine dumbass, that was what. Nevermore's sudden shout brought her attention back on the fight at hand, with the witch aiming a sharp point at her. Copy, not feeling as if she should respond, simply shrugged. Sure, she might've hit a switch accidentally, but did it really matter? It wasn't like the little lady was much of a threat at the moment. Although, she might prove to be annoying. And she was. Once Copy saw her rear her hand back, she could already take an accurate guess at what she was trying to do. The witch's hand sailed through the air, and made contact with the nun's cheek. The impact produced a rather loud 'slapping' sound, but the demon's face failed to move by even an inch. No real damage had been inflicted, and nothing had really changed. Apart from the fact that Nevermore's hand had left a hand shaped mark on her left cheek. One of the demon's hand travelled up to the tender cheek, and rubbed it gingerly. Her expression didn't falter, and remained the same neutral it usually is. Well then, if that initial slap was a total failure, maybe she just had to try harder. The hand on her cheek slowly balled up, forming a proper fist. She reared it back wordlessly, and without even uttering a single physical sound, she sent the fist flying towards the witch, attempting to send the punch directly into her skull. As soon as the punch would either hit or miss, she whipped around to face the two energy blasts charging towards her. She raised her two arms, opening her palms, and caught the two blasts sent towards her. Copy crushed the spheres of pure energy within her hands, and with that newly formed fist, she launched herself towards Kite. Her right fist grew massively in size, sextupling in mass as she soared through the air. The huge fist was brought down on Kite in an instant, once Copy was exactly a meter away from him, extending her arm suddenly in order to send the fist at him. It was intended to slam into Kite's face, and bury him in the snow created by one of Lilith's first attacks.

When the foe didn’t even flinch from the ferocious slap, the young noble took a step back. Admittedly physical fighting had never been her forte, for obvious reasons, but that should’ve done something at least. The lack of any pain response was outright chilling. She ducked beneath the punch just in time, feeling the rush of air against her hair. Had that hit her... No, she refused to think about it. Of course a demon would have absurd physical strength. It was only natural for their species. As long as she was aware of it, that creature didn’t pose a threat. ...So she assured herself anyway. In truth... Perhaps she should have considered leaving while the monster was distracted...
Unfortunately, the boy spat on Lilith’s pride yet again and threw away any chance of ending the violence. Her eye twitched. Fingers coiled. Aura flared. Her hatred was turning into power, fueling her magic, bringing her back from her brink. Words seeped onto her lips like poison. “Drown in the black sea, sink and suffocate...” Her shadow suddenly stretched towards the martial artist. “True Dark.” It erupted into multiple, inky tendrils. They aimed to wrap around the foe’s head, to blind and strangle him. She squeezed her fingers, as if tightening her grip. “You filthy mongrel... You dare think you could ever teach anything to me? Suffer for your arrogance!” She would rather die than leave these insults unanswered!
While casting the dark spell with one hand, the witch gathered crackling power in the other. Perhaps it was just the rage talking, but the world seemed suddenly so... clear. So very simple. She finally understood where she had gone wrong. Her mistake had been splitting her attention between two annoyances. Any curse was far more potent when focused on a single target. Yeeesss... These dumb people continued with their childish ways. Kite watched as these 'pitiful kids' tried to slap each other in the face, and somehow, Lilith managed to actually land her slap, even though she has been putting on a rather bad performance. Kite hissed his teeth as he saw that demon catching his ki blast, and looked at her with a rather blank look on her face. Now, Lilith started to blabber about him, being a mongrel and after all he'd done, she tried to attack him, casting a dark spell. Suddenly, darkness came over his eyes, once he blinked, and it felt more like something was over his eyes. Now.. he was mad. Once he felt the demon's ki signature heading his way, he pushed his first in front of him, and it collided with the demon's huge fist, while the dark energy still covered his eyes. "No, you don't. No, you don't! NO, YOU DON'T!"He went completely berserk. Suddenly, his suppressed energy went to a new height, flowing above everyone else he was fighting. His aura flared up around him, and immediately, the dark energy left his face, and his white aura danced around him violently. But.. this time, an outburst was made with a 'HAAAAA!'. "How.. dare you! HOW DARE YOU!"
While the white energy was still left around his form, his facial expression was that of anger, and his hands were balled up into a fist. "I'm done with this, all of this! I'm gonna deal with both of you, by myself, and I'm going to teach you both a lesson! As for you, Ms. Nevermore, I'll get to you after I'm finished dealing with this thing."He knew that if he tried to attack Lilith, the demon would attack him, so he decided to take out the 'actual threat' first. He raised both his arms in front of his chest, and charged up two white ki blasts, which crackled with electricity, after which he combined them. He looked at Nevermore before firing the blast.
