Hebihime was if nothing else, a wanderer. The Serpent Sorceress had no true home but Hell itself, and she certainly wasn't willingly going back there anytime soon. For centuries, she had been banished to Earth by her 'loving' mother. Her response to this exile was to wander the Earth, tirelessly looking for means to improve her strength both physical and magical. Artifacts of great magical power were her favored prizes to covet, and she hoped to eventually find an object powerful enough to allow her to return to the Other World. In the meantime though, she indulged her inhibitions living among the mortals of Earth. It allowed her satiate her hedonistic sins, reveling in the pleasures of Earth whenever she could. This however, was not one of those times.
Hebihime moved with purpose, or rather, traveled with purpose. She sensed an objective of great power awakened once more in the lands of the South. Her innate ability to sense the arcane driving her towards her next conquest. However, the woman was not particularly 'wealthy' in any conventional sense of the word. Hebihime did not believe in saving any of her ill gotten wealth, and had never worked and honest day in her life. Instead she splurged it all on amenities and material goods, most of which she kept on her personage. What sense was there anyways, to a mountain of gold or a vault filled with gemstones if one did not possess a mighty fortress to store it all within? She did however lack the ability to fly, and her true form could not be displayed openly to the populace of Earth. So mostly she hitchhiked, or paid for transportation wherever applicable.
At the moment the serpent had set up camp not far off the road. She was trekking through the jungles of the southern continent, headed towards South City and the source of her magical disturbances. The roads were not well traveled, and vehicles were a rarity save for the occasional truck heading into the jungle with supplies for some distant village. Hibehime's camp as it were consisted of a Capsule Corp. model portal home, a Capsule Corp model portable outhouse, and a large campfire. She had killed a water buffalo, slicing through its neck with a whip-like slash of her tail. The beast lay in a heap, its flank carved open and an entire haunch roasting over the fire. Hebihime consumed an immense amount of food for a woman her size, this was entirely because she was not a woman her size but rather an enormous serpent. While most of what she ate on land was mere morsels, she did occasionally need to transform into her true form to properly feed. During this time she would travel to the depths of the ocean to gorge herself on sharks, whales, and any other mighty creatures of the ocean deep.
But for now, a water buffalo would do. Hebihime was busy meditating as her meal roasted by the fire. Balanced on her tail she sat as it pointed perfectly straight downwards. The appendage twice as long as the rest of her body was tall, balanced on its pointed tip. She sat cross legged at the top, eyes closed as her ki radiated from her body. It would be quite easy to sense for anyone in the vicinity with any degree of ki senses. More importantly, the woman's ki had a malevolent, ever shifting, and dark aura to it. The kind of ki only seen in demons, evil beings, and those tainted by dark magics. Hebihime just so happened to be the summation of all three, and meditated chiefly not just to further her mastery of her own ki but predominantly to improve the level of control she could exert in his disguised state. She breathed out slowly, listened to the minute sounds around her. The crackle of the fire, bugs in the air, the flutter of the leaves. The day had been a peaceful one thus far, and she hoped it would remain that way.
