Appearance:
Hapu is entirely covered in green scales. The multi layered cross stitching of barbed scales offers mystical Namekian protection by converting his ki into venom, and is typically strong against blunt or sharp instruments. Where his body is more muscular there is a different scaling, with yellow stripes that are much smoother. Though not as protective these yellow scales are the typical manifestation of musculature and Hapu is in great shape.
A legendary Dragon Clan family that maintains the purist Dragonic Form of a Namekian, Hapu Dokunado is a perfect example of the Namekian physiques genetic preservation over the ages. His entire form is intimidating with a 6'9" height and weighing in at 296 lbs.
Namely as a Dragon Clan member he has two trident shaped bones growing from his head like horns, and Hapu posseses a prehensile dragon like tail. This thick tail is tucked between his cloth belt, and cannot be hidden. The spines covering it are covered in a potent venom. When sweating Hapu is actually converting heat into Ki and releasing venom as a response. He does not sweat, and actually bears a strong cherry wood aroma.
Hapu always wear the same clothes, and owns over a dozen of the same looking outfit. His nails are actually painted white, and normally grow black. His horns are manicured as well, and actually grow like a stags would.
Personality:
Royal 'Grey Namekian' Origin - Hapu was raised to be well off by Namekian immigrants. He has well manners, a formal education, and the strong belief in Namekian supremacy. Personally he values a hedonistic approach to life and believes that fulfilling your desires is the only way to produce a dream come true.
Anti-Hero - Hapu's purist Grey Namek philosophy supports a small group of select Dragon Clan pureblood descendants as true heirs to guarding the dynamic source of life on Earth, the last habitable planet for a Dragon Soul. His greatest dream is to eradicate the muddied bloodline of Demon Namekians who wrought chaos upon the Dragon Soul of Earth. He believes the hapless Earthling spawn of Piccolo Daimao to be the cause as to why new Dragon Balls cannot be created for Earth. In his eyes if the Namekians of Earth were culled, the Dragon Ball shards could be reformed into a purer mystical Dragon Artifact.
Wet Blanket - Hapu is not very comforting or social. The Namekian is mostly polite, but quiet. Usually quick to take a rain check; he prefers solitude, and considers himself to be a thinker as well as a warrior and shaman. When alone he is happiest to just contemplate on things he has learned, or practice his martial arts. Hapu is always plotting some sort of scheme, and people generally are bystanders in that train of thought.
Evil Master - Hapu is pragmatic and sees people as the ideal dynamic of master and slave. Using these ideals of control and force he directs others to coincide with his own plans, often without their consent to his evil schemes. Mercy is a knife he uses, and sympathy is less than a butter knife to someone with ambitions like Hapu does.
Devoted Dragon Clansman - Hapu is a master of the Namekian Dragon Clans mysticism and martial arts. As part of learning such techniques and practices he has also developed an extremely devout lifestyle that centers around his devotion to the Namekian cornerstones of order among chaos. Hapu cravesorder, and as a natural born leader he is strict with administering forceful measures of compliance.
History:
Namekian Origin - Dokunado
The Dragon Clan of Dokunado traveled from Namek many hundreds of years ago, and were a part of the first fleet to land on Earth. Hailed on their home planet for incredible telepathic skill, they were the Mystical Guides who maneuvered the space ships towards the source of Dragonic energy on Earth.
When they arrived the clan established temples on the Earth to maintain artifical ley lines for planetary telepathy as a tool for searching out Dragon Shards. They still tend these duties to this day, using their family arts to comb the ether verse of Earth for a hint of Dragon Energy among the concious minds.
For all of his life Hapu has studied the mystic arts of Dragon Protection. Extremely competent as a shaman he knows all secrets a Dragon Priest would be expected to know. From enchantments, telekinesis, martial arts and even rune crafting Hapu is a master thanks to his dedication to the Dokunado family arts.
The Dokunado families mystic line of work as Dragon Clan is to preserve spirit orbs inside of their temple. These orbs called Ryudo are sustained by meditating and imparting Ki collectively by several Dragon Clansman, and has the ability to produce planetary telepathic events. An age old tradition that hails from the legendary search for Dragon Balls, it has mostly been reduced to telepathic communication and crying for energy.
Dokunado Dragon Temple
After reaching adulthood Hapu took over the families work, and maintains two Ryudos in his home temple. Eventually his parents died and Hapu became the head Priest of twelve Dokunado adepts. They use their tradition of mysticism to search for Dragon Ball Shards and plan to transfigure some of the original Namekian magic that created them.
With Hapu at the lead this temple has grown dark, and the Namekian leader secretly plots for world war. Well versed in Namekian Sorcery Hapu practices the Dark Arts, hoping to fulfill his utopian dreams.
The original magic that creates Dragon balls is sourced from the collective soul energy of a pure hearted spirit upon a planet.
A Dragon Guardian is able to manifest this pure spiritual energy as a reincarnated Dragon soul that lives with the planet it is reincarnated upon, and protects it. As the Dragon performs its services, the planets spiritual energy is converted by the dragon into magic that's stored within the Dragon Balls as a fragment of the power a wish contained.
Upon their destruction this magic was dispersed into each Dragon Shard but with Dark Magic a Dragon Priest can reclaim the Dragon magic within a shard to harness the former Dragons potent magic.
With this reformed power of Shenrons legacy, Hapu hopes to purify the Namekian race and create Black Dragon Shards that will serve as a Namekian police for the Earth. These guardians will be a natural force on earth like the wind or rain, and dedicated to maintaining a par for Namekian law on Earth. The foolish spawn of Piccolo will be controlled by dynamic forces beyond imagination, and the true Namekian royalty will serve as upright guardians of Shenrons final resting place as Piccolo Daimao's Demon spawn are subjugated by the true shining glory of the Dragon Clan.
One day the Earth will be home to a Dragon God again, and Hapu will be riding atop its horned crown.
Willing to go through any trials to glorify the Late Dragon Soul of Shenron and give rise to a new era, Hapu searches for the Dragon Shards in his home of Satan City. Him and the twelve adepts constantly comb the Ryudos for psychic evidence, searching for any ethereal presence or information related to the Dragon Shards.
RP Sample:
There had been a lot of moment in the last couple years. Constant care of the Temple and monitoring concious thoughts around the world kept Hapu up to date with what was on people's mind. The Ryudo didnt exactly scry any knowledge specifically, instead carrying thoughts from the ether sphere into the Namekian antennae by means of an empathic connection.
Mostly Dragon Shards were non existent in the minds of people. No leads were given to Hapu, but instead constant notice of martial arts had peaked his interest. The World Martial Arts tournament was slated to begin soon, and since he hadn't found any clues toward the trail of a Dragon Shard; Hapu had been training his body for the tournament in the meantime.
Most of his life was dedicated to spiritual growth. Maintaining the Ryudo of his Temple required a lot of work, and searching for Dragon Shards through the collective subconscious was an entire mission itself. Hapu was happy to have some down time for personal growth.
Evil by nature Hapu sought power as the ultimate means. The Namekian purist was dedicated to cleaning the Namekian menace on Earth, and establishing the Dragonic Aliens as a divine connection to the almighty power of Dragon Magic. To be strong and over throw the demonic horses of Piccolo, he would need to grow much more.
Fighting in the tournament was a great way to flex his draconic scales and establish himself as a threat to the chaotic plans the Daimao spawn would put Earth through. Beyond that Hapu was confident his arrival in the public eye of Earth would signal the true destiny of the Dragon Shards to be revealed.
Hapu believed in fate, and he was considering all of this while he sat on the ground. In green grass the Namekian sat cross legged. His large green tail curled around his form once and rested behind him. As the wind blew in Hapu's face his antenna were carried behind him. Holding his fingers in a circle they were connected like two rings in his lap.
Casually Hapu was meditating on his life, and preparing for the next few hours. All morning long he trained his physical body, lifting weights and throwing steel cables around the grassy plain. Finally he was warmed up and next Hapu planned to practice actual combat. One of his disciples in the Temple offered herself as a sparring partner, and they were both meditating before the fight.
Hapu's opponent stood first. Ten years younger Hapu had known her since she was a child, and taught her much of the ways of Dokunado mysticism. She was highly skilled with energy control and Hapu knew it would be a challenge.
Never hesitating Hapu surged his power and leaned back. Snapping his tail like a whip it folded behind him. Using his great strength the Namekian priest rolled on his tail and stood on two feet. His dark green ki aura was flaring around him, and Hapu's sharp white fangs were bared. All of the tips of his teeth were pointed, with four incisors sticking out extra far.
The wind was disturbed around Hapu, and through a green haze of Ki he watched this opponent prepare for battle. She wasnt as strong, but Hapu was on his guard. Entering his battle stance Hapu assumed the typical Namekian combat pose. Hands held open like knives they glistened with venom from his scales.
Hapu was crouched down low with each hand extended in an angle forward to his opponent. His feet were pointing away from each other and his tail was menacingly banging into the dirt below him. Hapu was wildly grinning and his pure thrills were clearly displayed in his red iris'.
Rushing fIrish's. to a readied opponent the womans aura was spiking around her while she Dragon Danced toward Apu. The priest put his knee up and check her low kick, having expected the move she fired at him. Never the less she continued her assault before Hapu could counter with a poisonous knife hand strike. She pivoted on her hip and swung a right hook at Hapu.
The Dragon Priests venomous tail was faster than his hand so he swiped her own low ground, and seized her ankle when they made contact. Hapu coiled his venom barbed tail up to her thigh and pierced her in the thick meaty flesh of her outer thigh. The yellow skinned Namekian girl fell limp instantly.
The battle hadn't lasted long, but Hapu was happy with the results. He tossed her by the leg onto the ground. Her eyes blinked but she couldnt move or talk. Hapu walked back a few meters to where he had been meditating. His venomous tail was a Royal Namekian symbol of the Dragon Clan, so he felt proud with his use of it.
After resuming his position in meditation Hapu sat with his two eyes closed. Communing with the nearby Ryudo of his temple Hapu was searching through his partners subconscious mind. He could find solid facts like this and improve his form. The results were subjected to perspective so it took some time. Before long her paralysis ended and she repeated Hapu's own actions. The both of them combed over each others mind for insight, and their spar was over.
After a few hours Hapu felt satisfactory with the intuitive enlightenment available to the Dokunado. While meditating two lights grew atop his horns. Both colored yellow they were quite glorious and evident of his mastery as a Dragon Priest. The light flashes occasionally as Hapu directed the telepathic flow of energy toward different concepts of thought with the form he was investigating.
Eventually he had learned all he could from the ten second fight and Hapu decided to go for a drink. Fond of sake he made his was through downtown Satan City to go to his favorite tavern. For three zenni the frugal Namekian was able to indulge in a three finger shot of seltzer water with sake. For an extra penny a fruit juice was added, and he didnt fail to enhance his experience.
Sitting at the counter he had a wooden cup filled of his favorite drink. Grapefruit drops were floating in it, and Hapu sipped slowly. For a few hours he enjoyed himself, and considered what might be on the subconscious mind around him tomorrow.
Hopefully a Dragon Shard enters the public of subconsciousenergy transferal, Hapu dreamed in the dimly lit tavern. The sake was settling nice in his bloodstream, and he felt relaxed. His antenna were limply hanging and he had one knee bent with his ankle resting.
Figuring he could go for another Hapu ordered another drink before he finished the first. More than happy with the service he tipped and left for home. Strong willed he didnt stumble home, and was soon back home at the Temple.
