Satan City was the nearest settlement to the landing site of the Dokunado family, from Namek. Eventually they prospered and built a temple with two Ryudo Spheres there, and over the years new Temples were forged by either the Dokunado family or a close relative. Three in the world existed with two Ryudo Spheres inside each; and two of those Temples were in close proximity with each other. The close proximity meant they retained the same messages for a relative amount of time.
Spheres of Ryudo are a mystical construct of ki and mana. Ki acts like a fuel-like quintessence, containing power and force to extend the insight of a mortal mind connected to the fuel.
Mana is the spiritual manifestation of psychic power, and gives quintessential energy a unique physical form. When materialized mana can be used like mystical instruments with the practice of astral meditation.
For the royal Dokunado family of Namek, the Dragon Clan has passed down the spoken secret to forming spheres of Ryudo along with other mystical arts of the home planets true Dragon Clan tomes. The Dragon Clan depended on spoken word to carry their traditions, and the mystical chants required to channel Namekian Mana was highly guarded among the mystical caste of Namekians true to the Dragons.
With intense spiritual training and energy mastery a Dragon Clan Priest or Guru can learn these sacred spoken chants to create a form for their mana to coagulate upon this earth as a Ryudo conduit for natural energy.
They chant this Ancient Namekian prayer for hours with their clan and over time a fluid white blob appears in the air. This is an incomplete form of the sphere.
Once the clan is able to maintain form of this white mass without the Guru or Priests help, the Master begins the next work for their technique. Practicing an ancient Namekian Dragon Form of Martial Arts they exercise their body with sacred form. Suppressing their Ki during this performance the Priest sacrifices it into their aura instead of using it.
During this form more Clan members break off from the main chant, and display a different chant. The new chant siphons their ki into the forming Ryudo Sphere. As the energy filters away from the priests body the sphere begins to rotate. The priest continues for as long as they can, rotating the sphere.
Upon completion the Sphere of Ryudo has a unique nature. Made of mana it feels like wet plastic. It appears to be spinning in one tilted rotation. There is no specific use for it at this point. The sphere cannot be moved, but it can be linked to the natural key lines of the planet.
If the architect has done their job right the Spheres are created atop a key line. The priest or Guru finalizes the Sphere of Ryudo with a small short chant, and it is linked to the ley lines of the planet. With this connection the mortal mind is able to delve into the astral realm of earth and project their conciousness together information.
The Sphere of Ryudo acts as a channeling antenna for certain frequencies of natural spiritual energy that contain empathic memories. When meditating near it an accomplished Vizier can decipher visions imparted from this natural energy. These visions are specific to a strong will on the planet, and centered around some anchor to the physical realm.
With multiple Spheres the perspective can be enhanced, and divination becomes easier. Skilled priests can decipher messages of the Earth with moderate success at translation if they have a good team behind them.
This often encourages pilgrimages between Temples by adepts and mystics.
Hapu's adult life has mostly been maintaining these spheres for divination, and traveling between Satan City and Orange City where the two nearest Temples were built. Occasionally he was given solid leads to Dragon Shards, but more often than not he went back and forth for a clarified empathic experience at the other Temple and found thenleada to be false.
The Orange Temple of East Land was due for a visit, and Hapu traveled there to monitor the Earth through their Ryudo Spheres. Different location and perspective helped to decode the imagery during meditation, so it was never a nuisance journey.
This was a usual trip for him, sometimes more than once a month. During his constant travels Hapu surprisingly met few people. Despite constantly returning to places for food and drink, he was quite frankly stand off ish. The very large Namekian was polite at face value, but not the come hither sort at all. Even his softest bark struck fear into the mundane,
"Ahem, pardon." Hapu suddenly said to a young blue haired woman who was about to bump into him with her shopping basket. She screamed by the deep growl of Hapu and wildly threw her shopping basket over. Watching with familiar wonder from the great heights above, Hapu saw the woman hastily leave it all there on the aisle of the local shopping market. Holding a cold cut of t bone, he wasnt wasting time and continued to the clerk. Not everyone was scared, but by surprise he was quite intimidating.
After casually carrying on by paying for his steak Hapu continued his day. According to his calculations Hapu would arrive at the Orange Temple of Dokunado before nightfall. The Temple was just outside the city on a secluded cliff, so he had time for lunch shopping.
The Namekian walked down the dirt road closer to where the Orange Temple was. Holding the bright red steak by the bone Hapu was biting into it raw. His long white fingernails gripped the bone tight as his razor sharp shark teeth shredded away at the meat. He was scowling while he chewed, but Hapu was in a good mood. The evil man knew a good attitude made for greater news, so his scowling was superficial. His resting face was just not very comforting.
Of course for him all a good mood meant was that he wasn't feeling anger, sadistic or disappointed. Hapu considered comfort to be in motion, and savoring the past was for drunkards. He was happy to just be, but never looked it.
Thinking silently to himself about how he had scared that woman Hapu noted what good fortune he was having today. The shopping line was not so strangely short. He laughed aloud and took another bite.
"A perfect meal for the Dragon Clans greatest Earthling."
Hapu walked his walk, and ate the steak bone and all. Eventually he was indignantly thinking about how the priest in the Oramge Temple was doing since his last visit. They both shared a similar mindset, and disdain for Piccolo Daimao as the cause of Namekian societies decline. Hapu looked forward to a good conversation with his peer, and tried to imagine what he might tell about. Hapu hoped for some real treasure or Dragon Shards to talk about with his contemporary, but usually Orange City was an active mental scape to find leads on less rare mental forms. He doubted Kazu the priest of Orange Temple would have anything glorious like that.
The Orange Temple searched for Dragon Shards too, but they weren't as avid as Hapu. Hapu was aiming to rule the entire family and Temple so his earnestness was comparable to none. The Dragon Priest of Namek studied harder than anyone in the mystic ways of the Dragon Clan.
Hapu was the truth, a real genuine force of Namekian will on Earth. Even his all meat diet was restrictive as a part of his dedication to the arts; Namekians originally evolved from a carnivorous diet. Hapu knew a lot, but he was modest enough to respect others. Mulling it all over he realized he wasnt too much farther from his goal.
When the scaley green Namekian arrived it was mid day. The suburban city limits was in full swing, and it was lunch time. Hungry again Hapu decided to get some food before he met with his fellow Priest of the Dokunado Temple in Orange City. Familiar with this section of the city he made for his favorite oriental restaurant.
Sitting at the table Hapu ate alone, like always. Which was good for him, eating with people was stressful. Hapu liked to eat red meat raw for one, and that was hard to do in public. As well his strictly pointed teeth made it hard to chew anything that wasnt meat. But this Kung Pao! PAO! Diner had a great soy fry soup so he had some anyways. Slurping and slurping, Hapu eventually finished the soup.
When he left it was nearing evening time. Soup took literally hours for him, but it didnt matter to Hapu. At the restaurant he even had it heated up thrice. Deciding it might be best to hurry before dark, Hapu dutifully went running from Kung Pao! PAO!
It was a good thirty minute run, and the few miles were good for his endurance. Hapu ran east through the streets, his Dragonic tailstiff behind him as a counter balance. Leaping over a few cars he decided to climb higher, and the Namekian jumped high into the air. Soaring towards a building Hapu spun, and smacked his now front facing tail into the wall.
A giant smack rang through the air, and Hapu went flying in the other direction.clearing the street corner he flipped around again and went back and forth. It was fun for him, and his favorite way to climb buildings. Hapu eventually landed atop the roofs. He was still at least ten blocks away, but didnt waste any time to get there.
Fat and forward he dashed around the rooftop. His dark green aura was shrouding him as Hapu leapt high into the air. He landed on the next building, but his feet didnt touch. Instead he floated, and then dashed forward. Nearly flying he was practicing his skill, but most focused on not keeping his contemporary waiting.
A dozen dragon dashes well timed by the Namekian and he arrived.
The Orange Temple was truly brilliant, and exact replica of the original in Satan City.
There was only one door in the front and it was a side by side sliding glass door. The Temple itself was shaped like a cathedral, and very large. Painted Orange the Temple had black trim, and was very modern looking. Behind the Temple was a large field with grapes growing.
Before entering the temple was a totem in the shape of Shenron Coiling around a collection of seven Dragon Balls. On it was a metal plate that read the Temple Logos, "Behold the Dragon Legacy, and preserve this world for justice."
The inside of the Temple was much greater than the out. Entirely white it was well lit with a glass ceiling. There were several pieces of Dragon Art, and many Namekian wisdoms. A music system played contemporary Namekian music, and there were lots of pews to sit in.
Ccandles lit the altar up, and a great tabernacle was poised on the ends of the altar. The priest could often be found meditating on the altar. Behind this altar were two red drapes that covered the large sculpture like Ryudo Spheres. Behind these drapes further was a large ceremonial stage. Positions were carved onto the flooring, and there were always at least four adepts meditating around the Spheres.
When Hapu arrived the Temple was closed to the public. He was allowed access with a key of course, and proceeded to go to the back ceremonial stage. He knew the Temple well, and was looking for Kazu. Not to his surprise the Orange City priest was meditating with the Ryudo Spheres.
Adepts were around the priest in their positions. They were standing with their fingers laced and whispering a prayer. Meditating to encourage the Ryudo Soheres rotation during the priests communion, theirnrole was vital. Without them to move the energy of the Ryudo the energy containing information would be cut off
Hapu would have joined them as an adept. Quite frankly he was too good for that. Instead the master simply watched and waited
