Kiryu was floored when he came to Central City. As the capital of the free world, it was the most advanced Earthling city in existence. Kiryu, who had mostly grown up in the rural lands of the East, was overwhelmed by the sights and sounds. As much as he wanted to wander, however, he had not come all the way to Central City for pleasure, or to sample the sights.He had come here because Kiryu had heard rumors of a strong fighter, descended from a line of mighty warriors. Rumor had it she had even defeated some odd sort of demon recently. That had only added to this woman's growing fame. Asking around a bit, it wasn't difficult to find a gym she frequented.
Kiryu parked his motorcycle, then walked on in. For being in as advanced a place as Central City, there was a lot to this gym that was old school. Instead of high tech smart treadmills that detected your height, weight, heart rate and concocted a recommended workout on the fly for you, the gym was full of heavy bags, jump ropes, speed bags, medicine balls and free weights. The centerpiece was a grand ring. It was large and square, with ropes strung up between corner posts.
Standing in one of the corners and shadowboxing was, Kiryu had no doubt, the woman he had come to see.
He came up to one of the edges of the ring and politely cleared his throat.
"Greetings. Are you the woman that defeated that pink demon?"

There wasn't anything special about this day to Ahri. She headed over to the public gym she tended to visit, equipped with her gear and equipment and the like. She had been getting some recent attention in the recent days, and she did not know why. It wasn't anything too crazy, no autographs or pictures or anything like that. Although at random times, she felt like people stared at and lingered around her for longer than usual. Things like that had been happening since she became a true adult, thanks to her freakish height, surprising muscles and such. Although, recently, it was as if people would do the things they normally do for twice as long. Ahri didn't mind her new popularity score, as she didn't care if people wanted to stare or not. She hadn't been born on this round ball of dirt and water called Earth to please other people, after all. She was trying to please herself, and make her family proud. Although, she had already managed to accomplish that task. Hell, at times Ahri thought that people outright followed her, as if they were observing her for a served of some sort. This didn't unsettle her in the slightest as it might've to some people, but Ahri wasn't ' some people'. She was a fighter, a tall fighter, a female fighter, one with a decent chunk of muscle mass on her body. That wasn't the average human girl, and she was proud of that. Making her way towards the public gym, she towered over a good portion of the people she passed on the streets. She was equipped in her training outfit, leading to more stares or glances. This was however, something she lived with. A part of her lifestyle, a part of her life as a whole, a part of her. It just seemed natural to her. And she displayed her abs and muscles with pride. Before long, she had arrived at the high tech gym, and immediately headed towards the ring to begin her session. That was how she normally began her sessions, as she saw it as a good way to warm up. If any other person should come and request a spar, she would normally accept the challenge, adding it onto her training schedule. And someone did come, although it was to ask her a question. A man who looked more like a traveller, explorer, or adventurer rather than one who had wanted to train, approached her, asking her if she was the woman who had defeated the pink demon. At first, Ahri only glanced at the man, then turned to face him as soon as she heard the words, 'pink demon'. Her train of thought immediately trailed off to her fight with Majin Zam, as she quickly produced some thoughts. It seems that this demon is quite popular. I wonder if this man is familiar with her too.
It would appear as if she stared at the man for a moment, until she finally made an answer to the man's question. "I did, yeah."

Kiryu felt a small smile tug at his face. He was answered somewhat brusquely, and with no follow up, leading Kiryu to drive the conversation. Well, that was all right. He supposed he did look a bit like a vagabond... maybe even a country bumpkin. He was, of course, far from that, but he was no stranger to that perception. From time to time, he had even used it to his advantage. Kiryu briefly wondered if he should do that here, but he swiftly discarded the notion. Underplaying your strength and appearing to deceive an actual enemy was one thing. There was evil in the world, and since he had decided on the difficult path of not killing his enemies, Kiryu would take every advantage that was offered to him.
But this was not an enemy. Not really, not in earnest. If anything. this woman was a potential ally. No, Kiryu would not do her a disservice by attempting to appear lesser than he was. Kiryu would meet her and offer his challenge, as an equal, as a potential friend and rival.
Kiryu bent his legs suddenly, and then launched himself into the air. He easily cleared the height of the ring, and the ropes. His jump carried him forward, and he landed lightly in the ring, then turned to face A.I.
His leap was meant to send a message, but not a threatening one. It was almost a handshake, Kiryu's way of saying 'I am like you. We are not like others.'
Kiryu covered his left fist with his open right hand, holding the pose in front of his chest. He bowed, inclining his head towards A.I.
"Well, in that case, I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I am called Kiryu. I'm something of a martial artist myself, and I'm on a bit of a journey right now. Trying to meet others like me. I want to test myself against them... and I want to make sure for myself that they're decent folk. If someone that has evil intentions grows too strong... I'm sure I don't have to finish. We all know our history.
I've made several friends and rivals already. A powerful Namekian. A Cobra Master from the South. After hearing of your accomplishments, I knew that I wanted to meet you, too. The level of strength it takes to defeat some of the demons I have heard about is extremely rare for an Earthling, and since I found out, there's not much I've wanted more than to test my skills against someone of your caliber! So what do you say? Will you favor me with a match? I can promise you, at the very least, it should be one hell of a workout."
After speaking, Kiryu broke his bow and began to limber, crouching and stretching his right leg, then switching to his left. He stood, hopping up and down lightly on the balls of his feet for a moment, then rolled his neck from side to side. It cracked loudly, and he grinned, exuberance for the potential contest breaking through his calm demeanor. Kiryu would, of course, respect A.I.'s wishes if she did not want to spar, but he still put his hands up in a fighting stance. He extended his left fist and left it out, offering A.I. the chance to 'touch gloves' and signal the beginning of their combat.

A small smile found its way onto the facial features of the man that spoke to her. Slightly bending the joints on his knees, he leapt into the air and landed in front of Ahri, easily clearing the height of the ropes of the sparring ring. His landing was soft and light, contrasting the sheer strength placed into his leap. There was something about him that separated him from other people. He seemed calm and at ease. Ah, a trained fighter. It's been a while since I've seen any ki users around here....
She guessed that the man was going to request a spar or a fight of some sort, judging by his opening question. Ahri ceased her warm up shadowboxing and turned to face the man. She wore a serious facial expression on her face, crossing her arms over her chest as the man spoke to her. The man placed a fist inside of his palm, bowing as he did so. He had respect, that was one thing, but she felt that he was a bit too formal. She herself had never valued the importance of bowing before your foe, but it would be distasteful if she were to not return the respectful gesture, so she did so as well. The man introduced himself as a martial artist known as Kiryu, who seemed to have similar goals as the woman he addressed. He claimed to be a good doer, shunning wrong as he went about life. Ahri herself already had respect for the man. She had never done anything for anyone without expecting some sort of reward or compensation. He praised Ahri's ability, for she, as a human, possessed the capabilities necessary to defeat a demon, a majin, nonetheless. And that was an exceptional achievement in the eyes of many people. The man then requested a workout session, a fighting match to be specific, after he had completed his dialogue. "A spar, you say? It's been a bit of a while since I've had a good, old fashioned spar. So, we fighting right here?"
The man began to stretch, and Ahri did the same, despite having stretched already. She loosened her figure, shifting the larger portion of her weight from one side of the body to the other, flashing a rather cheeky grin at the man as she did so. She placed a balled up fist into her open left palm, then proceeded to loudly crack her knuckles. The man took a fighting stance, so Ahri followed his lead once more, raising her fists in front of her collarbone, resting herself in a classic fighting stance.

As A.I. cracked her knuckles, Kiryu smirked her way. Kiryu's pupils dilated slightly, the hairs on the end of his arms standing up as his adrenaline spiked. The world around seemed to slow down a bit, and Kiryu felt his senses sharpen. He could smell the sweat from around the gym, hear every small movement of his and A.I.'s feet on the mat, and see the twitches of A.I.'s small muscles as she shifted, getting into a comfortable stance. "I can keep my power under wraps. I use some ki blasts, but I'll keep them powered down enough to not do any collateral damage. Here will be just fine. It won't bother me if people watch, either. I'm no stranger to a match in front of a crowd. Honestly, I'm kind of surprised we haven't run into each other before now. Abilities like ours are rare enough; you'd think the circles would be a little smaller!"Kiryu was light on his feet after his recent experiences with Caffey and Bass, and he knew how important it was going to be to attempt to establish an early advantage. If his impression of her was right, Ahri was not going to be a pushover by anyone's metric. Kiryu focused, using his ki to summon a shimmering energy field around his body, one that would both protect him and harm his foes. Kiryu then reached into a fold of his robe, crushing a capsule. The material it released was instantly absorbed into Kiryu's skin, and he could feel the tincture begin to work immediately, replenishing his energy. He took hold of his power then, focusing and conjuring another capsule out of nothing, this one with more potent, but much more immediate, curative properties. Kiryu then began to circle, not throwing any strikes as yet, but darting in and out, gauging Ahri's reactions to his movements.

The man calmly insisted that he was capable of keeping his power in check, avoiding any type of collateral damage whatsoever. A surprised laugh left Ahri's mouth, finding herself slightly amused at the man's comment. "I am just as surprised as you are, it's a big world I suppose."
Once she settled herself into a comfortable fighting position, she noticed one or two people's gazes wandering towards the ring they stood in. Perhaps they had been eavesdropping on the conversation. Ah, let them watch. No harm in that.
She herself had most certainly been accustomed to fighting in front of a crowd, being a rather popular opponent and competitor in the World Martial Arts Tournaments. The whole experience came rushing back to her, the lights, the crowd, the shouting, the cheering, the booing, the fighting, the excitement! She suddenly felt a longing for that feeling again. The rush felt while battling it out for the title and grand prize; a handsome helping of zeni. She quickly put her mind back on track, observing the man who stood in front of her with renowned scrutiny. He seemed to be preparing himself for the spar, gleaming with a coat of ki surrounding his figure, creating a sort of barrier around himself. He revealed two capsules, with each one releasing some sort of material which immediately latched into Kiryu like a second skin for a split second, before being absorbed. He would begin to circle around the toned woman, darting in and out, seemingly delivering a couple of fake attacks. Ahri watched his movements closely, not removing her eyes for even a mere moment. She did not move when the man feinted, not necessarily because she knew he wouldn't attack, but because she already had her arms raised somewhat defensively, ready to block or swat away any type of sudden attacks. Very quickly, Ahri had begun to grow weary of this charade. "That's enough. Why don't you take the first shot? I'm about as ready as I'll ever be."
She took a couple steps backwards, seemingly glowing slightly with ki. It was faint and soft, lingering for a bit as she prepared herself for a fight. Once the ki dissipated, she thought silently to herself, This should be able to provide me with some entertainment. Surely he'll be more than capable of providing a challenge.
The man's power level was slightly larger than her own, indicating that the man has had some sort of battle experience, as people simply aren't born with that sort of power. Muscles tense and eyes watchful, she was certainly ready to get this show on the road.

Kiryu would give Ahri this, she certainly didn't lack for confidence. The woman had a powerful body, and she did not take the bate for any of Kiryu's feints. Slowing his motion for a moment, Kiryu shrugged, acquiescing. "As you wish," he said, fierce smile lighting up his face. "If you don't mind too much, then I think I am going to do my very best to start things off with..."Kiryu trailed off, because as soon as he finished the last word, he blazed forward, his sudden movement sending out a small shockwave that shook the ring. He sent a ki blast out ahead of him, but it wasn't aimed well at all. It might even miss Ahri without her having to move an inch, but the ki blast had little power in any case. It was a feint, albeit a different one than the ones he just employed. Hopefully the blast would take her eyes off of him for just a moment. Hoping that it would distract Ahri just enough to get in and score some hits, Kiryu got in close. Eyeing Ahri's musculature, Kiryu decided that blunt impact wouldn't do him much good. Instead, he aimed for her pressure points, attempting to ensure that ki would be a little more difficult for her to come by. Not wanting to stay in close with the strong woman, Kiryu leaped backwards at the same time that he mentally commanded his ki armor to strike at Ahri. As he sailed backwards, Kiryu quickly clasped his right wrist with his left hand, aiming his index finger at Ahri. He swiftly fired off his ki gun technique, twice in rapid succession, sending ki bullets towards Ahri. After Kiryu finished his attacks, he sent one of his ki orbs towards Ahri, planning on using it's motion to predict where Ahri's inevitable counterattacks would come from.

Once Ahri had announced that she wished for the fight to finally take place, Kiryu would allow a fierce smile to appear on his face. He let Ahri know in advance that he would be beginning strong, causing Ahri to place herself in a defensive position. That's fine.
The mere moment she completed that phrase in her mind, her adversary charged out towards her, releasing a ki blast on the way. Ahri twisted her body to the side, avoiding the blast rather easily. She had not failed to keep her gaze set on her sparring partner, as he charged forward. He approached Ahri, attempting to deliver a number of pressure point strikes to the female fighter, trying to gain an early lead. With lightning fast, instinctive reflexes, Ahri twisted, ducked, turned, sidestepped, did anything possible in order to avoid being hit. The man's strikes were quick and unforgiving, as the light, quick jabs searched for their target. This was going to be a tough opponent.... Further enforcing that view, the man leapt backwards, sending some sort of ki armour to lash out at Ahri. The woman released a gush of ki and wind, disappearing almost as quickly as it appeared. The man shaped his right hand into the shape of a gun, clasping the wrist with his free hand, like an actual gun. From the hand, two rapid ki blasts flew towards Ahri. So fast, in fact, that the female combatant was unable to do as little as dodge it. Instead, she raised her arms defensively, on instinct, only slightly softening the impact of the burning hot bursts of ki. As the energy blasts made contact, an audible grunt could be heard from the woman's side, as she was roughly knocked back by the impact. She fell backwards towards the ropes of the ring, wrapping her two arms around the top rope as she made contact with it. The sheer pain caused by the attack remained, as the faint smell of burning flesh rose into the air. The damage knocked the wind out of her, as she was panting heavily while allowing the ropes to support her weight. In disbelief, the woman glared at the man, utterly shocked at the sheer power packed into those tiny ki blasts. They could sure pack a punch, and Ahri began to wonder if this man was hiding even more power than he exhibited. I.... Wha......? How in hell did that just happen?
At a near loss for words, Ahri thought about this man's strength until finally getting back into a standing position, leaving the sitting position she was formerly in. She ignited her holy white aura, as her palms were balled up into fists at her sides. Dropping her aura, she spoke up again, discarding the former unsettled look she had before, replacing it with a flashy, fake grin. "Okay, I'll have to admit, that stung. A lot. Hell, now I'm doubting if I could even stand against you. But, I'll try my best. Sorry if I disappoint you."If one listened carefully, it could be heard that there was sadness and disappointment in her voice. She was disappointed with herself, now seeing the new milestone she had to cross. The man's quickness, the man's energy power, if Ahri got hit by an attack like that again, she probably wouldn't get back up. Now determined, Ahri launched herself at her opponent, attempting to thrust her knee into the man's gut. Whether the attack hit its target or not, Ahri would spin three hundred and sixty degrees, swinging her leg around as she spun.

Kiryu could not help himself. He whistled when he saw the impact that his new technique had had. Kiryu had not in his wildest dreams assumed that he had amassed quite so much power, and the impact of his newly developed ki attack was astonishing. He grinned at the woman as she spoke. She had the true warrior spirit; here, she faced a powerful opponent, one she did not know if she could defeat, but her response was not to cower or run. It was to test herself, to seek the limits of her ability, and, if they were not enough, to then exceed them. It was a spirit that Kiryu shared, recognized, and admired. Kiryu began to respond, but he had no time. Despite the damage she had suffered, A.I. rushed forward, throwing out a devastating knee strike. Kiryu managed to flow to the side, but had to use his ki to speed up his movements. Even so, he was not able to avoid the strike completely, and took a glancing blow to his body. Ahri followed her maneuver with a spinning kick. Kiryu saw it coming, and ducked, though he had to use his arms to divert it's path. Even a deflection proved costly, as Kiryu's arm suffered trauma simply from altering the path of his opponent's mighty strikes. Kiryu whistled again, this time appreciatively. Since he was already in close, Kiryu attempted, once more, to target Ahri's vitals and disrupt her ki flow. He noticed that his ki bullets still smoldered on Ahri's body, and Kiryu suddenly flipped back. He concentrated, gathering his energy, and feeling the restorative he had used replenish some of his vitality. Kiryu nodded with respect to Ahri, then spoke. "I've been there, believe me. Heck, I just met a Namekian that might be the strongest creature I've ever met, and I am equal parts frightened and ecstatic at the idea of testing myself in combat against him. All I know is this; what separates us from everyone else is that when we see a wall, we don't shrug and wonder how to get past it. We scramble up and over, or burst through. I don't think I'm that, for you; I think I got in a couple of lucky shots, and I doubt you've got a lot of experience fighting esoteric spiritualists. Your power is incredible; one direct hit from you is probably enough to shatter my bones.
It will be interesting to see which way this match up goes."Kiryu paused, then, and gathered in his strength. As he did, no aura surrounded him. Indeed, nothing was visible. No explosion of energy, no raging aura causing the entire block to rumble. No, Kiryu was quiet, still, but without a doubt, his power was growing. The lack of outward sign but the sense of something enlarging nearby was something that Kiryu imagined could be deeply uncomfortable for someone less attuned to the constant ebbs and flows of ki use, and hoped that his unusual methods of channeling power continued to throw Ahri off her game.

Both of Ahri's attacks failed to dish out the amount of damage she wanted them to do, with the tall man only slightly avoiding the knee strike, and blocking the power of her spin kick with his arm. Once Ahri had completed her spin, she landed roughly on the ground, while facing Kiryu. He attempted to halt the flowing of ki in her body once more, by unleashing a series of small jabs at Ahri's joints. Using her reflexes, she swatted away most of the quick jabs, with the help of speed and sheer luck.Kiryu leapt backwards, and Ahri regarded him, watching his every move. He began to speak about a certain namekian he had encountered in his travels, the struggles in surpassing limits, the sheer willpower required in order to break through those limits. It all made sense to Ahri, although what he said was mostly repeating what was said to her by her own mother. Her mother was also a fighter, and she had learned many things from her. She had always been determined to surpass her mother in power, although at the moment, she wasn't even completely sure about where her mother was. The man also praised her raw strength, believing that one solid attack would be enough to break something. Once the man finished speaking, Ahri responded to him. "Thanks for the compliment. I agree with everything else you're saying as well, though you're extremely quick. I'm not even sure if I score a decent hit on you."
The man was indeed very quick, quicker than anyone else she had every fought with. His strikes were also speedy, with the energy technique of his not only being fast, but deadly. Ahri knew that she would have to be cautious while approaching this fighter. She began to realize that the man's power level had been rising, although there was no aura around him. Ahri was no stranger to the concept of controlled ki, however, she rarely encountered people with the ability to control the ki in their bodies so well. Odd, but interesting. "Well then, I assume that we're done talking, so let's continue."
She ignited her powerful white aura, charging towards the man with her fists glowing brighter than her very aura. She would throw a punch at the man's jaw, with her aura dissipating as soon as she threw it. Abruptly, she attempted yet another punch aimed at the left side of Kiryu's jaw, continuously attacking the same area.

She's right, thought Kiryu, The time for talking is over. I think it's time to see if I can draw out some hidden depths; you never know how far you can go until someone pushes you to your limits.Kiryu clicked his tongue, frustrated at the lack of success from his pressure point strikes. Still, there was nothing to be done for it. He would try a different tactic shortly. A.I.'s white aura blazed to life as she rushed in, and Kiryu forced himself to focus. Even with his ki orb tracking her movement, Ahri's attacks were incredibly swift and powerful. Still, by concentrating, Kiryu managed to slip around the side of the punch, just barely. A.I. recoiled, then lashed out again, aiming at the exact same spot, maybe trying to take Kiryu by surprise. This time, however, he was ready, and easily managed to duck the attack. Kiryu decided it was time to experiment a bit. He dashed backwards, towards the ropes, lobbing a ki blast at Ahri as he did so. He bounced off of the ropes, allowing the rebound to lend him even more momentum. Ahri was right, Kiryu was damn slippery, and he was going to use that to advantage. He swiftly closed with Ahri, then pulled a daring maneuver, actually sliding through her legs. Once he was passed, Kiryu leaped up in an acrobatic display, twisting and somehow firing another ki blast at Ahri, still in the center of the ring. Kiryu continued his motion, bouncing off of the ropes yet again. This time, moving even faster, Kiryu did not go low. He went high, and with a mental command, his ki armor solidified around him, hardening and reinforcing itself in thick layers around him. Kiryu was, at that point, more or less a battering ram, and he was headed straight for Ahri. If she was struck, she would likely be knocked back, so Kiryu readied himself to land very close to the woman. If she managed to duck or dodge, Kiryu would try to flip around at the last moment before he landed, ensuring that he never lost visibility. Even glancing blows from Ahri's attacks were damaging; Kiryu had no desire to take on head on. As he attacked, Kiryu could feel the curative item continue to restore his vitality. The ki orb he had used winked out, and he sent another one to track Ahri's movements and aid his own defenses, as Kiryu was still quite concerned about his ability to take a direct hit from his opponent.

Both of Ahri's ki charged attacks had missed, further reinforcing her view of Kiryu's speed. To Ahri's wonder, her opponent dashed backwards, bouncing off of the ropes of the sparring ring. He fired a ki blast from his palm as he did so, and Ahri had a small amount of time to dictate what happened next. The burst of ki moved at unnatural speeds towards it's target, who could do nothing but toss her arms upwards in a defensive position, allowing her forearms to receive the brunt of the attack. She dropped her hands slightly, just in time to see Kiryu sliding across the floor of the ring towards her, travelling in between her legs. "A-Ah!?"A surprised sound flew from the woman's mouth as she whipped around, seeing Kiryu leap upwards, spinning in an acrobatic motion that would make a master gymnast proud, bouncing off the opposite ropes, all while firing another ki blast at Ahri. Once more, she raised her arms, blocking most of the ki charging fiercely towards her, grunting as she did so. The man then launched himself towards Ahri, surprising the female fighter once more. The male was cunning, and had a good head on his body, and Ahri commended him for his unique way of fighting. Kiryu made clear contact with the woman, as she was knocked over backwards, landing roughly on the mat with an audible thump. as she landed, she brought her knees up to her neck, preparing herself for a leap. Rolling backwards slightly, she threw her feet and legs forward, getting back to her feet just as quickly as she was thrown on her back. Upon landing, she noticed Kiryu summoning yet another orb of ki. The spherical ball of ki seemed to track her movements, and while she had managed to ignore it for the majority of the fight, she now eyed it suspiciously, wondering if the technique required intense concentration. Ahri took a couple steps backwards, attempting to catch her breath. She felt tired, wounded and overwhelmed. The man was simply more skillful than she was. Her fatigue was evident, as if one looked closely, they could see her taking deep, long breaths, with a tired look resignation written across her face which seemed to say, What can I do?Intent on not losing the fight, Ahri charged towards the man again, attempting to throw a powerful punch across his face. Moving with the momentum of the punch, she threw her leg at Kiryu's side, with the back of her foot leading the way. Once the attacks were made, Ahri would plant her feet once more, jumping backwards as quickly as possible. Once she landed again, she spoke to him. "Nice, nice. You've got a good brain in that head ya got there. However, I don't plan on losing!"She still doubted herself in her head, but despite having the cards stacked against her, she would have to struggle and endure, if she wished to better herself. She wanted to win, and it's what she would set out to do.

Kiryu blinked when A.I. launched herself back into the thick of combat. Say whatever you would about this woman, but no one would ever be able to fault her tenacity. She came forward once more, despite her obvious injuries, and snapped out a couple of powerful attacks. In this instance, however, 'powerful' was not enough. Ahri was having difficulty keeping up with Kiryu's speed, something the young warrior had picked up on, and he wasn't planning on slowing down anytime soon. He bobbed and weaved, avoiding A.I.'s attacks. He ducked the punch she threw, then leaped over her leg as she kicked at his midsection. Kiryu's avoidance wasn't altogether successful. Despite his movement, A.I. manage to clip him with her kick, making contact with Kiryu's thigh. It stung, and he felt the curative item he had taken earlier begin to do it's work and prevent the flesh from bruising overmuch. Kiryu tucked into a roll, tumbling forward and coming to his feet. He turned to face Ahri, grin still plastered to his face. Kiryu's eyes were alight with a gleaming, blazing inner fire as the thrill of honest combat between two true warriors suffuse his entire being. "This has all been drilled into me since about the time I could walk," he said, "And one of the first lessons I learned was, keep moving. I'm not as strong as you are, physically. I probably never will be. Taking a direct hit from you? That would probably be about the dumbest thing I have ever done, and when I was a teenager I thought parachute pants were cool."Kiryu rolled his neck from side to side, and it popped loudly each time. "This has been an amazing match. I've never been able to go so all out on someone before. I can't get over how freaking tough you are! If this goes on much longer, I'm not going to be able to keep clocking your movements quite so well, and then... well, I don't much fancy having to wait for a broken clavicle to heal."As he spoke, the tips of Kiryu's index fingers, both right and left, began to glow with a soft orange light as they were engulfed in ki. "With that in mind," Kiryu continued, "I am hoping that you can forgive me for attempting to bring this match to a conclusion. As much as I have enjoyed our sparring, and would be content no matter the outcome... well." Kiryu shrugged his shoulders, his smile turning gormless. "If I'm being completely honest, I'm a competitor at heart. I'd still rather win. But, if you'll let me, once we get our breath back, I'd love to grab a beer with you, swap stories... and maybe figure out a time we can do this again. You've got tremendous heart, and if the people I've been meeting lately are any indication... we're going to need someone like you. We're all going to need each other, soon enough."Kiryu didn't get any deeper into his cryptic statement. The visions he had started to receive were private. He had not shared them with anyone, nor would he until he understood them better. But he believed what he was saying. Kiryu had his armor project an energy attack at Ahri, in the hopes that it would distract her as he raised both hands and fired his ki bullets, first the left, then the right. He aimed for Ahri's left arm and right leg. After he fired his attacks, Kiryu drew in more ki. For all his bravado, Ahri could very well prove resourceful enough to dodge one or all of the attacks, and if so, the fight would have to continue. If it didn't, he dearly hoped she would take him up on his offer. Kiryu could always use another powerful ally... and friend.

Once more, Kiryu continued to outshine Ahri when it came to reflexes, showcasing his speed and nimbleness as he ducked down low to avoid Ahri's punch, and leapt up high to avoid Ahri's kick. Although, Ahri did feel some contact being made with her toned leg, however, she highly doubted that the miniscule amount of damage the attack inflicted, would even hardly be enough to even the fight out a bit. The man had outclassed her in almost every area, and Ahri now knew that she had to work as hard as ever, in order to someday surpass Kiryu. The man landed, and began his dialogue again. For the second time, he praised Ahri's brute strength, knowing that tanking a direct hit from the muscular female fighter wouldn't be a good idea. Ahri let out a little girlish giggle once he finished speaking, one of the few uber girlish things about her. Kiryu began to explain that he wished to bring their current bout to a conclusion, as he didn't wish to sustain any more injuries. He even offered to spend sometime with the woman, berhaps sharing stories over some beer, talking about recent travels, and things of the like. There was one thing Ahri couldn't make heads or tails of, however. The man ended his statement with a cryptic sentence, a sentence that seemed both cryptic and..... ominous. It sounded like a warning, a warning saying that something dangerous was to happen in the near future. Something terrible. She had been unable to figure out what these words meant, as there was no real indication that it was a warning, a veiled threat, a coded message, or anything of the sort. It was just stated. Rather...... odd. "Huh?"
She threw a quizzical stare at Kiryu, not having any knowledge of why everyone would need each other soon enough. Did it have something to do with demons? Monsters? Piccolo? It all didn't make sense to her. As Ahri was trying to decipher the statement and focus on the battle at the same time, Kiryu launched another ki powered attack towards her. Ahri had little time to react as she attempted to parry the ki blast, knocking it down towards the ground. She didn't even have enough time left to notice Kiryu firing two more ki blasts at her, knocking against her right and left leg. The impact brought Ahri back down to the ground, falling fowards, as she landed flat on the mat. After lying down on the mat for a couple moments, face twitching, unable to move, she managed to summon the will to shift into a sitting position. Feeling pain with every movement, she seemed to shake a little as she sat up. Despite her obvious pain, however, she endured through it, somehow managing to force a smile. "That sounds like a great idea, I'd love to. You seem like a great fighter, and you're powerful and quick, which already makes you better than most. Now anyways, let's go see about that beer."She attempted to get back on her feet, surprisingly doing so without falling back down, albeit shakily. She expectantly looked at the man, still wondering what he meant by that final sentence. Suddenly, she realized something. "Oh, where are my manners? I didn't even tell you my name! It's A.I., nice to meet you."

Kiryu exhaled slowly, grateful that his final attacks had been successful and that this spar would be relatively easy to bounce back from. A.I. herself didn't seem too badly injured, as she was able to stand under her own power, and graciously accepted her defeat.
Kiryu spoke with her a little more, then headed off to the gym's locker room to shower and change. He wasn't a member, but he doubted that after the display, that nearly the entire gym had stopped working out to observe, that he had anything to worry about.
Kiryu emerged, meeting Ahri, and Kiryu, being a stranger to the city, allowed Ahri to pick the venue. Kiryu spent the time getting to know Ahri better; her history, her background, her goals. Kiryu found her a fine person, and one that he believed he could count on as an ally in the difficult times ahead that he foresaw. And, he thought with an inner joy, she really knew quality beer.
For his part, Kiryu related his recent adventures. His meeting with Caffey and their duel at the Cobra School in the desert. His experiences facing a bandit horde with the robot, Zero. His incredibly insane adventure with the Namekian, Bass. A bit of his philosophy and spirituality, the basics of the Path of Joy, and the reasons that Kiryu was traveling, his worries for the future and the hopes that he could find good and true allies to stand against whatever darkness came.
Because the more Kiryu thought at it, the more convinced he beceame that something was coming, and if the world was not prepared, then darkness might consume everything.
He kept the deepest of his thoughts to himself, but still waxed a bit philosophical. Still, on the whole, Kiryu found the evening to be very pleasant, and looked forward to sparring with Ahri again in the future.
