Appearance:
Seung-kyu is an attractive guy, with sharp blue eyes and short messy black hair with bangs that almost cover his eyes. He is tall, and has a well-toned physique which was a result of his non-stop training. He is always seen wearing a royal blue robe with black collar and sash with a sleeveless blue overcoat worn over it. The lower part of his robe sleeves is tied with a black ribbon in a criss-cross pattern to prevent it from getting in the way while fighting. Underneath the robe, he wears a black pants and a pair of brown boots wrapped in criss-cross patterned ribbons.
He always carries his weapon, a Chinese naginata, with its blade usually draped in white cloth secured by black straps whenever he travels.
In his demon form, depending on the situation, he could fully transform into a dragon or just a part of his body. Usually though, he maintains his human form while his skin becomes a bit scaly and his arms transform into a black-scaled dragon’s claws and uses his dragon wings whenever traveling for convenience.
Personality:
Seung-kyu is an arrogant and money-hungry demon royalty who loves to pick fights whenever there is an opportunity. He is hot-headed, reckless, and irresponsible, which always gets him into trouble. Ever since his kingdom has fallen, he has been working odd jobs to earn more zeni, however, his rough personality makes it impossible for him to get a steady income.
Despite the seemingly conceited personality, Seung-kyu also goes out of his way to help people in need, especially the weak who can’t defend themselves from their aggressors.
History:
Once there was a small kingdom surrounded by a great River in the Eastern Lands, the humble demon king and his half-demon wife were expecting their first child. The queen struggled in labor, and although both her and the child’s life were hanging by a thread, the baby made it out alive somehow.
The doctor, however, was displeased at the current condition of the baby, warning the couple that he wouldn’t last a day. Desperate to keep their son alive, they called on the different other demons who could probably possess their child just so he could live. The news spread throughout the village but none responded. A minor deity however, took mercy, the Kuraokami, who was the dragon of the river surrounding their palace, with the condition that their son was to defend the village at all cost. It was not a difficult terms of agreement, afterall, as the rulers of the kingdom, it was their duty to safeguard and lead their domain.
Years passed, and the boy grew into a young handsome demon prince. He was given excellent education and was trained in martial arts, sword fighting, as well as the political affairs of their kingdom. A good leader in the making,
One stormy night, as he was passing by the river, he saw a little girl being abused by one of Kuraokami’s rival demons, Onibi, attempting to suck the life out of her, as it was his nature. Seungkyu didn’t hesitate to jump in and protect the girl. With the use of his naginata, he leaped straight towards the demon, piercing him through his chest. However, he managed to cast a spell on the unsuspecting prince, cursing and putting him into deep slumber. The raven-haired demon fell into the river. It was only after a few days that his body was recovered by a wandering servant, and was laid into his room. Everyone in the kingdom mourned at the untimely death of the prince.

It had been four hundred years since Seung-kyu was put into a sleep, the demon prince was still sound asleep in his chamber deep within their kingdom in the Eastern Lands. His slumber was caused by a curse inflicted by Kuraokami’s rival demon Onibi, when he saved a little girl from the demon flame as he attempted to suck the life out of her.
A flash of lightning streaked the cloudy skies before a deafening thunderclap grumbled and was heard in all corners of the Colorcloud Kingdom. Another strike hit the chambers where Seungkyu was sleeping, it tore through the palace roof and struck the demon, and by some miracle, awakened him.
“Huh?” The prince saw double first before his vision went back to normal. He shot up from the dusty bed, scanning his room for his servants but he found none. The room which, back in his day, was tidy and elegant was already derelict. There were cracks on the floors, the pillars were in ruins, and the sliding doors had been long since decayed. No more furniture that could be salvaged. The grass and the wild vines almost reclaimed everything, and it would take so much time and resources before the palace returned to its glory.
For a moment, Seungkyu looked back, how long had he been asleep? Where were his people? He could’ve protected them. He could not almost recall what happened except he was put into a sleep by a curse of another demon whose name or appearance he could barely remember.
He continued to look around, but there was not much to see, all the hallways and pathways had been destroyed, the courtyard which was full of cherry blossom trees and other ornamentals became a small wasteland. There was no way he could survive in this place in such a state, he had to find a place to stay-- but where?
It didn’t matter where, as long as it was warm and cozy, it would be enough. Seungkyu cracked his neck, did some stretching as he prepared to fly. His large black dragon wings slowly protruded from his back, he then tested it, flapping it a couple of times before levitating from the ground.
“Woops” he struggled the first time, trying to balance himself, until eventually got a hang of it and hovered the skies with ease. He passed by the great River surrounding their kingdom which was secluded from the rest of the village; he still had to cross several hectares of thick forest before he could reach the town square. However, he was surprised to discover that even the Colorcloud village had become a ghost town. What happened exactly? He thought to himself, feeling rather uncomfortable that he was the only person...err… demon in the world. He continued his journey westward, hoping to see a lively town.
After a long search, finally, he arrived in one village by the border in the Eastern Lands. The first thing he did was to, of course, fill his stomach. Turning to his left and to his right, blue eyes scanned the area, while his nose also sniffed through the air, like a radar on the lookout for food.
“Welcome! Welcome!” shouted an ogre outside a small ramen shop, “Good morning, Sir! It looks like ages since you’ve last eaten. Please, feel free to enter our restaurant! We have free desserts waiting for you inside!”
“Hrrm?” Seungkyu narrowed his eyes at the insult, but since he was hungry he decided to let the ogre off the hook. At once he entered the shop and ordered the largest bowl of ramen.
Few minutes passed, and the food was served. The bowl was filled with thick noodles, large chunks of meat, three slices of egg, and a handful of other toppings such as shitake mushroom, bamboo shoots, spring onions and naruto.
“Ohoho. This looks good!” Seungkyu exclaimed in , he leaned forward close to the bowl first, smelling the flavorful aroma before chowing down the sumptuous meal. Of course, one large bow was not enough for a hungry demon’s stomach, so he ordered another one. And another, until the bowls towered one after another. Feeling rather satisfied and full, he didn’t even care for the free dessert that was still sitting on his table. At once, he stood up, ready to leave the premises until he was called out by one of the servers.
“Hey! You still haven’t paid for your food! Come back here!”
“Huh? Didn’t you know who I am? I am Seungkyu, the demon prince of Colorcloud Village.”
“Yeah right, Colorcloud had been wiped out by the Namekians long ago. So what are you talking about?”
“Wiped out by wha--” the raven-haired demon was bewildered at the revelation, so it was the reason why he couldn’t see a single soul in the village earlier.
“Yeah, so pay for your food or else we’ll call the cops!’
Since he was still bloated at the time, it was quite difficult to move, certainly, he wouldn’t be able to beat these guys even if he wanted to, “I-I don’t have money.”
“Huh??! How dare you barge in my restaurant without even a single zeni!” the owner retaliated at first, “Well, I can be generous and have you wash the dishes instead.”
“Eh? I’ve never washed the dishes in my life! Get lost!” Seungkyu continued to walk out. The manager then ordered his security to take care of the stubborn demon, and after a long-winded brawl, the demon prince ended up in the kitchen washing all the bowls he had eaten including the other customers’.
