It was time to go. To find Kiryu - the man that helped her at first, show off what she became so long after that first meeting. He was probably even more awesome and strong now, but maybe the little, gray majin could learn something more from her friend. And maybe Bryce would follow - she told him where she'd be headed, him and everyone else willing to listen, really - and meet the man too? It was a hope, after Nal talked to him and befriended the man. She was still unsure what to do about Zam, but maybe when she came back, she'd find a way to make her a good friend - one that doesn't lay waste to everything out of boredom. Maybe Nal's logical mind could help steer the other majin towards more fun stuff that didn't result in ruined villages, like Cade said. Nal felt sad about that - because so many people were gone or without houses, which meant they couldn't help Nal be stronger, better, more heroic and less hungry. There is no candy where there are no shops, right?
She felt like there should be more to that, but it eluded the frantic majin mind for now. Maybe one day, she'd find a real reason to be sad over dead people and burned down cities, but for now, Nal was still a majin with a mind of one. Even if it was strange, at least to other beings of her kind - it was still a mind of a demon.
And this particular demon was currently soaring through the skies, grinning ear to ear, surrounded in an aura of gray and green, like a comet across the desert land. Flying over South City, she waved at the people below - waved goodbye to the mountains ahead, to the workshop of the smith that sent her down to the Southlands with Atalan (she needed to visit the smith again once she was back! Help him a bit and show off her awesome smithing skills taught by the imp man), to the big stage, where a new sausage eating contest was being preapred, the majin waved goodbye to that rock where she found Bryce before fighting him (and later waking up after a long nap), the mountains where she found her star metal that now was shaped into a sword at the majin's side. She waved goodbye to what was left of that rock that her and her three friends fought the butterfly people not so long ago.
In general, just waved goodbye to the entire land. She learned a lot in it, but now it was time to move on. To new lands, where adventure, friends and all manner of unknown candies await! She wondered if they have any fun shaped ones on the islands... it was a sea place, and indeed, soon enough she saw the huge blob of blue ahead of her. Lowering her flight, the majin soared right over the surface, giggling as the salty water pricked on her skin... or whatever it is that majins have for skin. She didn't think much of that, eyeing the fish that swam under the surface, grinning at those that decided to leap out of the ocean for whatever reason, eyeing the dolphins that did so frequently and seemingly, just because they could. It was an interesting change of scenery after nothing but desert for who knows how long. It was at least... a lot of days. But now, there were new things to see, like... well, the sea!
Though admittedly, very soon the sight of water was also getting old. It's just like sand, except wet and blue instead of dry and yellow. Or brown - the one in the Demonlands did seem a little more bleak. But hey - there was a big island ahead - and the gray majin could already feel the life on it. Literally - sensing powers and presences. Grinning widely, she sped up, then up, then up again - soaring as fast as she possibly could across the waters, soon finding herself over lush, green landscape. And right over ahead was a city. Against all odds, the majin sped up yet again, laughing at the sheer freedom this offered. Flight! New zones! New friends and adventures and everything! This was a good day, a good time and generally - everything was great. And she was sure there was a warm welcome waiting for her in the city.
Which was close. Really close.
How did she slow down flight again?...
