Cayle shrugged at Wuubi's question, not having the slightest idea if Pilaf would have survived such a long time. It was not unheard of for people to live one hundred or one hundred and twenty years, but Cayle was no expert on human lifespans or any of the other earthling life spans on the planet.
“I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I'm no expert on the lifespans of... whatever Pilaf is.” he shrugged yet again to punctuate it, before putting up a finger. “But I can tell you that you don't want anything to do with magic or rituals. Any sort of stuff like that has a dark taint to it, and could corrupt or possess you.”
To the new comer, Cayle had nothing to say and nothing was said to him, focusing on everything around him and not missing the almost telegraphed sneeze. When the pizza was offered to him, the Saiyan shook his head in a negative motion. “Thank you, but no thank you. I have no interest in germy pizza.” and while many Saiyans might not know a thing about germs, Cayle had been studying to be a chef since arriving on the Planet Earth.
Then he turned back to Tiger Lily. “So, with that said, do you want to head out to the museum?”

Wuubi was at a bit of a loss for words. There was something just not quite right about this stranger in her mind. She seemed friendly enough but her reactions just caught Wuubi as somewhat childish in nature. Maybe it was less a costume and more that this creature was from a species that was just rather large at a young age? It’d certainly explain the more unusual behaviour of Tenkami, at least that sounded like it was their name. The food they had brought with them was certainly a popular item with Ty and Rihito, which went some way towards explaining the rather hefty price tag in zeni at any rate. More confusing was their reaction to the word mascot. Ending up deciding that the word in question was perfume and that the smell was in fact from the pizza.
We are wasting our time here, if it has been four hundred years then Pilaf is likely dead, even that little cretin probably didn’t find a means to survive that long.
So, are we to leave?
There is little reason to stay, we will have to try and find another source of information to our problem
Wuubi turned to look at the island for a moment, the offer of meeting back up with these folk was actually pretty tempting all told. She had her instructions however and so gave a soft bow to the others. First talking to Cayle and then the rest of them.
"I see sir, thank you for the information about magic. However, I am already involved with such things. I seem to be quite alright so far. Though of course I could just have yet to encounter the bad side of my religions art. I should keep moving, it has been a pleasure meeting you all and I hope during the time I have left in this World we will meet up once again. I am Wuubi, by the way.”
Wuubi started to stroll away, though herpace was slow. It was clear she had part of her attention on the group just in case someone called her back. It’d be rude of her to ignore potential friends after all, even if she had been told to leave.

Wuubi was walking away by the time she took a sip of her cotton candy lemonde, she was unable to catch the conversation Cayle had to say about Emperor Pilaf’s age, and she wondered if the black and white haired teenage girl was not having fun being in the theme park since she was quite serious. Rihito and Tenkami were occupied eating pizza so she did not want to interrupt their mealtime.
“Well, enjoy the pizza guys! It was the best!” Ty said to the two pizza lovers and took Cayle’s hand to walk past Wuubi who was wandering about. “Did you forget to get a park map? Why don’t you come with us to the Emperor Pilaf museum? Maybe you will find what you’re looking for? Let’s go!”
The orange haired teenage girl pointed at the massive castle at the center of the Park, guests were overlooking the entire park from the top of the tower, and she grinned widely as she waved at Wuubi. It seemed like the others were easily distracted by how overwhelming the theme park had been but she was not going to waste the first day of her adventure after saving for months to afford it.
Upon arrival at the castle, the grand entrance door was as tall as the highest castle wall, scores of guests were entering and leaving the museum. By the time Tiger Lily entered with Cayle, a large group had left, and it was just the right moment where it was empty. Large display cases housed the many machinations Emperor Pilaf and his friends build together, large mobile suits, and explorative vessels were kept behind a durable plastic case. It was just like the comics except they were true to scale and she let go of Cayle’s hand as she chewed on cotton candy to look at each and every one of them. In the center of the main floor was a glass replica of the seven dragon balls with a giant hanging statue of Shenron the dragon hanging from metal wires attached to the ceiling; a small plaque explained the dragon was not to scale despite it filling the entire museum hall ceiling hanging from above.
“Behold Cayle, it’s the dragon balls! So pretty! Look at the stars they float at the center from any angle.” Ty walked around the podium of the dragon ball display with a pleasant smile on her face.

Cayle did not say another thing to the gathered group, simply providing them all a polite wave before heading out with Tiger Lily, walking hand-in-hand. As they walked through the line, Cayle patiently waited in the line as they went through the castle, notating things such as the rivets on the machinery and the specific makes of their artistry. He found himself somewhat impressed by many of the gadgets and machines, and some part of him had less paranoia about Pilaf being secretly sponsored by the Tuffles- the technology that he used did not look the same as Tuffle technology, not really. As his girlfriend ran off, Cayle took the moment before following her in their trek towards the Castle to purchase a Saiyan size (read: 200 Oz) Souvenir Cup, filling it with Mr. Pepper brand Spicy Cherry soda and slurp a bit of it before following Tiger Lily and easily catching up to her, without having to jostle through the crowds. The Dragon Balls looked almost right, but the shard didn't look exactly that color. And the story book made him think that there was some disconnect in the scaling of this Dragon and the actual Shenron of the storybook, but he did not bother to say a thing to Tiger Lily about it. Instead, he simply looked around, and he wondered. What was the real story was behind Emperor Pilaf and Son Goku. It was then that he saw the supposed 'flying fortress' of Emperor Pilaf, and this watermelon sized model which was remarked as something along the lines of a 1 to 1000 size model of 'Pilaf's Flying Fortress'. Immediately, Cayle recognized it from a comic and low budget anime series that Alfonso De La Reyes enjoyed, something called 'Lunch Wars' starring 'Luke Frywater', a human who was apart of a food delivery service called 'The Alliance', and which regularly fought against the (obvious stand in for one of the Earth Corporation's) Black Bowtie Battalion, itself headed by a figure who was known as 'Darth Lunchbox' for his skill at making culinary experiences for any who ordered them. “I think I saw that in a comic which Alfonso likes. I wonder who came up with the concept of a ship shaped like that first, a ship shaped like the moon. In the comic they called it the Pie Star.” [393] [2940]

Rihito eyes widened in response to three boxes of pizza pushed into him so suddenly. It was impossible to eat all of this pizza by himself — just one box of pizza would fill his appetite for the rest of the day. Though, he could just keep the boxes for his family at home to eat; his grandpa had a large appetite, and his sister ate almost anything gave to her, out of an act of kindness. While taking a slice out of the box and simply eating it, Rihito eyes noticed that Wuubi seemed to be walking away. Her movement indicated that she didn't actually want to go, and since it seemed one else was going to stop her, Rihito decided to take it upon himself to do so. She would feel his warm hands grasping her own, hoping that she would stop from this action. The pizza was being held within his other, with utilization of strength and balance. "Hey. I could really use some help finishing this box of pizza. That and...walking around here by myself would be troublesome, so." While speaking, a simple wave with his...head was gave at Lily and her boyfriend as the two rushed off by them. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, and he wanted to do the same, with Wuubi alongside. WC: 222

It seemed Wuubi and Yakon weren’t the only ones who were splitting off and doing their own thing, it was hardly a concern to her, really the big worry at this juncture was that her journey here had basically been for nothing. On the one hand it was nice that there were people here who were happy to see her. On the other, it would make things a little more awkward when they discovered her real reasons for being around. Almost absentmindedly she rubbed a hand along her sleeve, despite the time travelling the markings carved into her skin felt a little sensitive.
She was rather heavily interrupted by someone taking her by the hand, causing her to suddenly recoil and turn onto the man a cold icy blue stare. They’d only met once, what was he doing taking her by the hand like they were familiar with one another. Then again, her total lack of knowledge when it came down to how friendships worked was working against her, maybe this was a normal thing to do? A lack of any comment from Yakon didn’t help matters, he’d told her to leave but didn’t seem too bothered that she was stalling and looking to stay, this place at least seemed interesting and, now that she thought about it maybe if she learned more about this Pilaf person, she’d find out about allies who have surviving family? They could be useful to Yakon. Rather tentatively she held out her hand again for him to take.
“I’m still not hungry really, but I suppose it cannot hurt to learn a little more about the dead emperor before I leave.”
Besides, Yakon did want her to at least find out about those with power, possibly because they were of some sort of threat, though what kind of threat could there really be to the god that was destined to destroy the world? Oh she should also apologise for being so rude to him before hand when he was just trying to be nice.
“Apologies, you did startle me by taking my hand so suddenly like that. I am not used to company and don’t always understand what certain gestures mean.”
She made her attempts to contact Yakon and apologised for the delay in their plans, to which she got the equivalent of a shrug and that he’d waited for hundreds of years, a few weeks while they found someone new to finish what her cult had started wouldn’t hurt.
“So, where to first?”

“Pie in the sky.” Ty mused as she looked at the scale model Cayle was looking at, but then turned to a different model airship nearby, and read the plaque description. “This one was used to find the dragon balls it had a radar built inside of it...and it was stolen by Piccolo daimao! I wonder if he still has it.”
After adjusting her black framed glasses on the bridge of her nose, she half expected Cayle to react to the idea that a threat existed beyond the happiest place on earth, and she sighed at the thought. It had been quite some time since they were able to do anything fun together since that one fateful meeting at the beach. The world seemed safe, her father disbelieved it, and this tiny model was a reminder of what was really wrong with the world.
“How about we stop looking at history and enjoy the present. Do you want to check out neon city? It is full of games and rides so it has a bit of everything the main park has to offer, maybe it will be less crowded there, too.”
After they took a final tour of the castle, she finished off her cotton candy lemonade, and tied the empty souvenir cup to her hip by its lanyard. With her hand now free she took Cayle’s hand and left the castle together. Once they were outside she noticed Wuubi and Rihito holding hands nearby while they were heading towards the castle.
“Huh, well they look cute together.” She said with a soft chuckle, as they weaved through the crowds of people to reach neon city.
Everything about Neon City was lit with bright colorful neon lights, buildings were purposely painted black, all the attractions were glowing, holograms displayed food, games, and everything that was futuristic of a virtual fun world. The first stop was the arcade, it was not nearly as crowded as the rest of the park since most people owned this type of machines at home, and since she lived with her strict parents she could only enjoy playing these types of machines in Pilaf Land. The first game Ty elected to play was a rhythm drum game, which she did well on the first try, and then when it switched to intermediate mode, she began missing the notes. While she was fully concentrated she did not notice if Cayle was able to keep up with it.
After spending a while on it the next game was a virtual bubble game, where lining up colored bubbles caused them to pop, and little dinosaurs moved a bubble canon to release more to match with. Eventually Ty was entirely surrounded by virtual bubbles it became disorienting and they all burst at once with a giant game over appearing over head.
“What do you want to do next, Cayle?”

Cayle Pota, son of Pota Potaset, long in his line of descendants of Pota the Proud, was the type of man who liked history and thought it was important and factored into the present. He was the type of man who looked at the past, the present, and the future in the same stride whenever he could, and he would have enjoyed looking through the other mechanical creations which were over four hundred years old, but it was for Tiger Lily's Birthday that they were at the park in the first place, and as such he let her lead the way. Neon City sounded interesting, anyways, like the type of 'cyberpunk' neo-noir stuff which appeared in some Oolong City action flicks. So as they exited the castle he let her lead the way, walking hand in hand with her while he occasionally sipped his spicy cherry flavored cola.
Soon, they were in Neon City's arcade, and they played through the rhytmn game. Cayle was a natural at it, perhaps from a childhood of dodging rocks and worse, and from the skills he had learned while learning to be a practitioner of the culinary arts. Of the Toad, Trouble, Toil, and Bubbles game he was less good at it, and he was not focusing on it after having lost the sixth time against the machine and resisting the urge to fling it directly into the ceiling of the arcade.
That's where he saw a pair of strange machines which actually had a line – machines that said the other name for the World Martial Arts Tournament, the 'Tenkaichi Budokai', as well as 'Online'. People strapped into what looked to be strange power suits, with visors, and a screen showed the action for all those assembled in line, a perfectly generated 3D image of the players as martial artists fighting each other in a simulated version of the Tenkaichi Budokai. With every strike between them the machines shook a little or seemed to heat up, and when the first group of gamers strode out of the arcade machine he realized why. Some had light marks and bruises as if they had been in real fights.
As they finished their last game of Toad, Trouble, Toil and Bubbles Cayle noticed them fiddling with the difficulty system and this apparently controlling how much damage (if any) was being dealt to the players in real life.
“Why don't we try that out, Tiger Lily?” he asked, something about the machine and the idea of challenging people to matches calling to him.

Tiger Lily looked over to the deep dive virtual reality game Cayle had in mind to play next, she had read about this kind of game before, but she felt it would not be the same as actual sparring. It was the first time Cayle had shown his interests apart from gourmet so she smiled and waited in the long line to have a turn. Prior to lining up she did purchase popcorn to pass the time, it was buttery, salty, and covered in fine cocoa powder. All the food she had eaten made her feel a bit sluggish than usual, all the fat, sugar, and lack of water affected her human biology. Their planned vacation was to last a week, so she needed to take a break from the magical theme park, and get training done sometime either with Tenkami or Achido. The training would make up for all the overindulgence of food.
In half an hour they were next, just in time to do a series of team battles in the tournament, in a sixteen bracket spread. The equipment was state of the art, the world behind the visor was three dimensional, and a bit cartoon with intense colors. Their team name was King Taco, since neither of them could come up with a better time so last minute, and soon enough they blazed through all of their matches winning the tournament effortlessly. A crowd had gathered to look at the tournament battle on the screens, which were also being streamed throughout Neon city, so more patrons walked over to witness the undefeated team. The same crowd were cheering for both Tiger Lily and Cayle to fight each other. The Game Master set it up without asking them with a four round match and the winner for the first two rounds would win the ultimate prize: Three giant pilaf gang plushies of Emperor Pilaf, Shu, and Mai.
There was no debating fighting for the prize, despite being a team, they were to face off for the crown of being the ultimate champion. Tiger Lily was naturally competitive, she spoke through the mic on her headset that covered her face like a motorcycle helmet leaving a small opening near her mouth.
“Alright, Cayle, you’re on. Let the best virtual fighter win!”

Unlike the bubble game which they had been playing, this game seemed to use some advanced technologies to read one's physical fitness, power level, and numerous other things if only in a latent way. It was a prototype machine for a new roll out which was planned, but it was also very popular. People loved the Tenkaichi Budokai Online series, and this was the newest model, so people flocked to watch the match, both tourists and residents of Pilaf Land itself, alike.
Cayle focused his senses, held back his strength from breaking the machine, and moved his character across the screen at the touch of his mental commands, the advanced computer-brain interface cap doing wonders for reading the actions that he wanted it to do as he sat in the strange type of controller that the arcade version of this gamer possessed.
Soon, he was charging at Tiger Lily to bring this challenge to an end. It was not a matter of who would get the plushies, of course Tiger Lily would get them, this was a matter of if he would win it for her or she would win it for herself. Saiyans were naturally competitive, so that was something worth trying hard to determine in his favor.

The first round was ultimately won by Tiger Lily, it seemed that Cayle was still warming up to the mechanics, and he was pretty close to bringing her down. 'Round 2' was displayed in large lettering to begin the second round, if she managed to bring his HP bar down again, she would ultimately win the match, but if he won this round then a third would come into play. The characters on display were scanned copies of themselves, the visor had instantly created their personas based on their appearance, it was quite lifelike apart from the fact that she would never be able to beat Cayle in a real bout.
“This game is pretty fun, we should play it at least once when we visit Neon City, and if I wasn’t trying to train in martial arts I think I would be playing this game online instead.” Ty chuckled as she made her persona punch and kick her way across the field. Whenever she wanted to move in air, it was second nature, and did a combo attack at Cayle’s persona.

Cayle was thoroughly enjoying the game, both because it was fun and because it allowed him to enjoy the martial arts without having to worry about hurting Tiger Lily. Part of him wondered already if it was possible to rig up a system like this with most limiters removed and with specialized equipment added to allow for a truly virtual training system to exist. It was something to think of for later, but for now the Saiyan former farm boy focused on the game at hand, attempting to beat Tiger Lily.
“Yes, we definitely should when we come back. I can see why this game was so popular.”
He continued to fight her, trying to win despite the fact the the result didn't ultimately matter. The conflict was somewhat fun as well.

It was suddenly a death match, each of them had won a round, and lost as they both reached the finale. Tiger Lily was determined to win the prize, her saiyan blood motivated her to be competitive even against her boyfriend, and she was controlling her persona a little bit more seriously to find a break in Cayle’s defenses: In the long run she knew it would come to being evenly matched and it was only in a game that she would have a chance to defeat him.
“Alright, Cayle. All or nothing! Good luck.” She motioned for her persona to taunt before flying her off into the air with a series of kicks. Both of their characters were moving fast, exchanging blows, their hp bars slowly dwindling away, and Ty ignored attempting to block some strikes just to initiate a combo.
“Hah! Take that!” Ty laughed as she got a x5 combo, the most she had achieved the entire match, and soon the fight would be over with a single winner.

The game may ignore and equalize people's power levels with its current set up, but it did not mean that it ignored all semblance of strategy. As Tiger Lily charged at him and continued her five times combination attack, he waited until the edge of the fifth strike and then hit the grapple button before willing a spin in the air and throwing her towards the wall of the ring.
After that, he charged forward to try to catch her before she could recover and try to begin his own combination. Win or lose didn't matter, this was a safe way to let loose and to enjoy a good psuedo-spar without worrying about injuring someone's feelings or their physical form.
As they continued to fight, Cayle thought about how much such a system had to cost and what it would take to modify it to more actively represent one's power levels and to remove most restrictions on it to allow for its users to use it as an artificial sparring system.

“A double knockout. It's a tie! We are evenly matched!” Ty laughed, a countdown put the audience that gathered from around the park to be on edge, instead of having their HP bars reset it only increased by fifteen percent. The small percentage meant both fighters had to fight defensively, guarding what remained, while trying to distribute a combo attack to end the match once and for all. Sweat drops formed around her temples, she stuck the tip of her tongue out to the corner of her mouth, fully immersed in delivering the final blow.
“This game is awesome, I am moving in virtual space exactly how I would normally do it, and the response time is uncanny.”
Outside of the arcade building, the entire fight was shown on a massive monitor for the spectators watching outside stare in awe as the fight carried on, a couple of patrons were exchanging zeni bills placing bets on the final winner. Everything was hanging on the balance with a few counter blocks and misses from the virtual fighters.
