The Kaiju shark, however intimidating it appeared and however powerful the ki it emitted was, held one disadvantage which would surely prove to be crucial - it was slow. It lumbered across the sky, slowly approaching the city with an aura firing up around it and cracks of electricity running across its scaled skin, and this advance gave their crew more than enough time to prepare, power up, and attack first. Some girl whose name Duke Satan just couldn't recall off the top of his head rushed in to attack the shark in melee, and Kiryu began peppering the creature down with spells and ranged attacks right after. They've got a good combination of ranged and melee, it seems. "On it, my friend!" Duke Satan yelled out as soon as he heard Kiryu's request for more energy. Instead of, say, raising his hand and channeling his ki to the martial artist's body, however, the noble had a different idea - he pulled out an energy bar from within his trench coat and tossed it straight towards Kiryu. It was no ordinary energy bar, however - it was, in fact, a trademarked limited production Satan Energy Bar, filled to the brim with vitamins and other necessary supplements to the point where it was scientifically impossible to imagine! Taking a bite would instantly send a rush of energy down anyone's veins! With one of his duties completed, the Duke turned towards the shark for an another one. He had the least raw power to throw against the shark out of the entire team, it was unlikely that he could even pierce the Kaiju's skin. Which meant that he will have to serve as a distraction. The Duke backed away for a few feet, as if he were a rugby player about to kick a ball across the field - and then suddenly lunged forward. Focusing all of his might into his right foot and recalling all of the old tapes of his ancestor's spectacular fights he's watched, he suddenly threw a powerful kick across the air and roared: " DYNAMITE KICK!!!" The trademark technique of the Satan Dynasty did not strike anyone directly, but instead manifested as a powerful burst of air and a shockwave, flying straight towards the Kaiju. This was, after all, not an ordinary Dynamite Kick... It was, in fact, the Remote-Detonated Dynamite Kick, an advanced level kicking technique developed by Mr. Satan which appears like a weak jab across the air, but in fact blasts the foe to smithereens after a countdown! And the Duke has managed to replicate it, hopefully well enough to serve as a distraction for his allies. [Words: 440/937] Defensive Phase

Everyone was performing at their absolute best, hitting the shark with everything they have. All of these great people fighting against this giant with everything they have just to save this island and city. Most of them probably don't even live here or know anyone here yet they are risking their lives here anyway for one reason or another. Will does not just want to fail the people of this city, now he must not fail his comrades. He will be their shield and protect them. The best way he can protect them against such a leviathan is to distract while flying on his nimbus and dodging and weaving past his teammate's attacks. He flies right in front of the kaiju shark's eye. They say the eye is the window of the soul and this window is cold, black, and empty. Although to say that this shark is completely evil is foolish as he is just trying to do what is only natural of his species, to hunt and consume, but nevertheless he can't let it consume any of these people, this island, or this city. He must beat and perhaps even kill it in order to save everyone, the needs of one beast outweighs one of the many. Besides, considering the fact that this shark has been heavily altered after consuming Dragon Ball Shards, it is now an abomination and an insult to nature so it must be put down anyway. Whether or not the eye is a weak point while in front of it Will began to charge the signature move of the Turtle School. Passed down from teacher to student for many generations. He sways his arms before cupping them together as he begins to focus and charge a tremendous amount of energy into this one attack. "Kame...hame...ha!" he yells out before letting out a giant blue wave of energy towards the eye of the beast.

Bass glanced towards Kiryu before the full scale assault began. "Wrestle? You've got to be joking me, I don't plan on there being any wrestling. I suppose it's the animals turn to deal with all the nonsense you do. I'll just say I'm glad it's not me this time around, and if I could barely stand it, this thing is screwed." And with that, Bass let out another roar as his power flared up once more to exceeds the sharks own level. The white flair around him intensifies, and his muscles grew even more. He truly looked like a colossus of a Namekian, and one that was charging forward at this point. "For the preservation of the nine to five workweek, I will defeat you!" Bass shouted as he attempted to collide with the creature. Unstoppable Force vs Immovable Object, a massive impact... Hopefully. Following up next he would just lay into the shark with reckless abandon. An unparalleled intensity of blasting fists that attempted to slam right into and if strong enough, through that massive hide. His body moved nearly as fast as a blur while his punches hit like trucks.
It never seemed to end, Bass didn't want this thing to breathe another breath. Bringing one arm back an energy orb began to form in his hand. It grew larger and larger to the size of a truck before gripping his fist tight, it crunched down into a hyper-condensed ball that he slammed right into the hide of the monster. Bringing back his other hand he repeated the process, and finally after reaching his hands high over his head he let out a roar as a building sized orb of ki formed. He attempted to slam it straight upwards in a double handed uppercut so that even if it missed, it'd fly up into the air as opposed to into the ground. Bass was out for blood, and letting out his entire arsenal. "This is what being the strongest really means! So that when monsters strike, you're not so weak you need to run and cower! I train even when it doesn't matter so that I'm ready when it does!" He shouted at the shark, venting his life problems perhaps? Though everyone else could hear, maybe he was talking to them. Pulling a final fist back, he attempted to slam it into the shark to push it above them, so they were still a buffer between it and the down below. WC: 413 TWC: 1239

Damage to Players from Lightning Aura: 10 (Melody), meh.
Status Effects currently active: Burned (Thanks to Melody), Cursed (Thanks to Kiryu), Burned #2 (Thanks to Kiryu), Stun x 2 (Thanks to Kiryu), -4 Damage and DR (Thanks to Kiryu), Stun #3 (Thanks to Will o Wisp) – not even listing the rest of them.
Total Incoming Damage: 69 (Melody) + 47 (Kiryu) + 2 (Bypassing DR from Kiryu) + 17 (Duke Satan) + 21 (Will o Wisp) + 155 (Bass) = 276. It's dead. Congratulations.
The Giant Shark, roaring as it had been, stood no chance against this onslaught of energy and strikes. As the green haired woman leaped and slashed at it, the shark took a mighty blow. And before it could recover it took another, and another, and another. Before it could even respond even it's might armoring had been decimated, and it fell towards the sea from the sky, blood flowing heavily out of it. As soon as it did though, the giant beast began to dissolve as if it had never existed, spectral appearance visible but the only part of it which was not transparent was a small shark deep inside of the energy construct, a dragon ball shard stuck to its side.
Throughout the air, voices or more aptly echoes from the past, floated.
“Oh Eternal Dragon. Oh Dragon God. I gathered these Dragon Balls to summon thee. Please grant my wish.” a boy's voice, likely no older than seven or eight, is heard throughout the area. IT is not booming, but it penetrates the very minds of those near it.
A thundering boom follows, “What is your wish, child?” this voice carries power in its very words.
“I wish, I wish, for my fish to be big!” the boy says. Spectrally, a vision of the boy holding a tiny shark the size of a tadpole suddenly visible to all nearby.
“So it shall be.”
But that can't be this shark, this shark is an entirely different species from the boy's tiny tadpole of a shark. As the vision finishes, it begins to fall towards the sea once more, but then stops, hovering on its own spiritual energy. The rather painful looking gash in its side from the Dragon Ball shard remains, but it does not have a single wound from the onslaught of strikes which had hit it. It floats there, not doing a thing to anyone, as if gathering its strength to face its fate, whatever the case may be.

Melody felt the static of being electrocuted by the shark’s aura at the same time she hit the beach and in that instant her own violet colored lightning aura diffused itself as the leviathan shrunk into a shark smaller than Will O’ Wisp.
“Will! Quickly, we have to help the poor thing!” Melody called out to him and began to rush over to the scene, applying ki energy to the bottom of her feet to run over the surface of the water past ocean waves, and caught up to the creature that had been threatening South City. It seemed that wither combined efforts, the creature was stunned, and returned to its actual form. The wish that was made on the dragon ball was reminiscent of the shard embedded on its side. In the back of her mind, she was glad it was all over, she feared death not to long ago, and if they won the day there was still the matter of making sure not to pollute the ocean with a massive carcass.
The Duchess began laughing, tears forming in the corners of her violet colored eyes, because it meant she could live another day and see Truffle Village again. As she grabbed on to the shark, it immediately bit her forearm in response, its sharp teeth did no pierce through her skin, as she was more than an ordinary human to reduce the damage it would have otherwise caused to the average person. Now that it was latched on her arm, the next person to arrive would be able to remove the shard on its side, and heal the wound the shard itself inflicted on its skin.

Post by Kiryu on Dec 20, 2019 12:35:42 GMT -8
Kiryu caught the energy bar thrown to him by Duke Satan. It was... well, it was something. It was in a garish, red wrapper, with promotional text that ended in more exclamation marks than Kiryu had digits. There was a picture on it of one of the greatest heroes of humanity, Mister Satan, grinning and holding up both of his hands in a triumphant pose.
"Want to feel like the champ?!?!?! SATAN ENERGY BAR gives you the dynamite you need to get through your day!!!! NO DIRTY TRICKS, JUST PURE ENERGY!!!!!!!"
Kiryu was on the verge of unwrapping and chowing down, when all of their attacks landed... and the giant Kaiju shark melted away.
"What the what?"
Kiryu's shock was palpable. He had felt such ominous, overwhelming ki pressure from the leviathan that had been in front of them that never, in his wildest imaginings, had he considered... this.
A wish. An accident. A trick of chance and magic.
The more, it seemed, that Kiryu learned, the less he realized he knew.
As the now appropriately sized shark fell from the sky, Kiryu leaped into action, catching up with Melody. Kiryu had been about to formulate a spell to guide the aquatic creature down safely, but the Pig Duchess had reacted even more quickly than he had, catching the shark safely as it fell. It immediately bit her, as any wild animal would, but all of them were made of sterner stuff than ordinary mortals, and the bite caused no damage.
"Blood of my ancestors, that looks exactly like the on I have," Kiryu said, voice full of wonder and curiosity as he saw the Dragon Ball Shard protruding from the shark. Knowing that the animal would not long survive out of water, Kiryu worked quickly, summoning his magic to remove the shard, not by yanking it out, but by teleporting the item a short distance. Focusing his mind, Kiryu called upon his magic, mentally commanding the object to fold through space, much the same way as he did when summoning an item through the pocket dimensions he could magically create for storage, or when Kiryu had to get out of the way of a barrage of otherwise unavoidable attacks. With any luck, the item would appear in his hand.
To be completely honest, if the item could do what it had just done, Kiryu was not certain that he trusted any of these other people with it. The fact of the matter was, he knew that Bass had a lust for power, and though Will o' Wisp claimed to be a member of the Turtle School, a martial arts society that, historically, had been generally altruistic and fought for the people, Kiryu had just met him. Melody was far more of an enigma. She seemed to not be overtly evil or aggressive, but they'd know each other for a few hours.
Of all of the bunch, Kiryu was mildly surprised to realize, he would have been most comfortable entrusting the item to Duke Satan. He didn't know why, but he got the strong sensation that the man was exactly what he appeared to be; a descendant of a great lineage that was a hardcore martial arts enthusiast. Duke Luciferous Satan was gaining no small amount of power and skill himself, of course, and he was certainly blustery, but Kiryu felt like the man was a decent person.
And honestly, if he was the descendant of the Satan dynasty, the guy was probably already plenty rich and powerful. This item would have been a curiosity, nothing more.
Kiryu, however, did not say any of that. Assuming that the shard did not resist his attempts to claim it, he would simply tuck it into a fold of his robe for safekeeping.
Kiryu had some dried senzu extract in a capsule, an item he used regularly. He brought it out and rubbed it on the tiny shark's wound. That should slowly heal the poor thing's wound. Kiryu could have summoned a more pwoerful instant healing item, but he did not want to cause more shock to the creature's system than it had already endured.
Turning to the others, he shrugged.
"Well, that sure as hell could have gone a lot worse! Amazing job, everyone. Hell, if I'd known you were all so capable I probably would have just pulled up a beach chair, sipped a Mai Tai and watched the fireworks! I think we even managed to avoid too much damage to the city. We should probably link back up with the military for a debrief. I'm sure they'll want to congratulate us, and hear from us directly exactly what we saw."
At that, Kiryu would make for their rendezvous point. If anyone mentioned him holding on to the shard, he would tell them it was only for safe keeping, for the moment. He was not precisely sure what he should do with it, or who he should entrust it to, but he would certainly not make that decision solely on his own. These people had risked their lives in this contest, and they deserved as much a say in that as he did.

In one incomprehensibly powerful combination of attacks, the battle was over before it began. All the raw strength which their quintet summoned from the deepest wells of their power easily overpowered the shark no matter how gigantic or terrifying it is, its frame and visage faded, leaving nothing more than a sharklet inside with a Dragon Ball shard stuck to its side. That random girl who is tagging along with them for some reason hopped to catch the shark, and Kiryu joined her in order to magically pull the shard out of its body. Both of them were overjoyed, understandably, but few could be more overjoyed than the Duke of the House of Satan himself.
"Bahahahaha!" he laughed, heartily, and wiped the sweat which had been starting to build up on his forehead. He certainly could not claim that his efforts were as valuable to their team as that of others - all he managed to do was send a single remote-detonated kick, whereas people like Kiryu, Bass and the girl dealt far, far more damage - but it was still his fight, as well as theirs.
"This is the true power of Earth's martial arts! Joining forces together and reaching for a single goal, nothing in this Universe can stop a ragtag group of true martial artists!" the Duke yelled with his fist raised to the sky. "Witnessing these moments, when the tides are against them, when the situation calls for spitting in the face of the laws of physics in order to write yourself into legend - this is what I live for! And thank you, friends, for fulfilling exactly that!"

It was anticlimactic, to say the least, but is Will complaining. Of course not, they not only managed to end this threat quickly they did so before any damage that could be done to South City. It is by their combined efforts that this was possible. Not only did they make sure that no one is harmed, but not a single thing was also. Well, almost nothing it would seem, as Will receives the vision from the past. And sees the tiny figure that was once a great giant, and goes with Melody. "It can't be the same shark from that vision who knows how long ago that boy made that wish, considering the Dragon Balls were still intact back then it must've been from before even my time or while I was still learning to walk. This Dragon Ball Shard must somehow contain the power from that wish and when it came into contact with this shark it allowed this shark to become huge. Hopefully, we can get it out without killing it." Will said. And with that Kiryu was able to bring some Senzu Extract to heal the beast as well some better healing supplies he conjured up, which Will added with the Field Responder Kit he had on standby. The shark was a bit hesitant at first but Will was able to calm it down and gently stroke and pet the creature. Some of the medicine stung a little bit with their efforts it seems that the wound would heal, even if it might leave a scar. Will then continued to pet the shark as he is healing. "You know, sharks have been made to look and thought as monsters by people cause of gigantic ones being used in movies. In reality, though they rarely harm people and just keep to themselves and eat fish, they're no savage killing machines. This shark has the right to live as much as any of us, it has a place in this world as much as we do. We have no right to take that away from him. I am just glad we did not harm the actual shark and just the shell that was projected from the shard embedded in it, at least that beast explanation I can think of for what we just fought. I wonder if we should give it to Reese," Will said. Will then looked over the horizon with everyone as the Duke yelled in victory at their accomplishment he smiled as he sat upon his Nimbu and floated above them all. "I am proud to have met you all here today, even our time working together wasn't that long we managed to do a great service. We saved many lives this day including this one, however just because we managed to succeed that quickly together doesn't mean other threats will be that easy. There are still great evils lurking in this world either in hiding or have been biding their time and getting stronger until they can make their move. Whatever their origin or motive many people will stop at nothing to fulfill their selfish desires and disturb the peace of this great world, and that why is we are all here, not just today, but every day to make sure that peace continues and that chaos is once again beat back. Even if this eternal battle that many like us have fought before and after us, there will always be someone willing to answer the call, I hope next time I get to see you next time a call like that happens," Will said. With his incredibly heartwarming, thoughtful, and sappy speech out of the way, he can finally relax and enjoy his time on the beach with his newfound allies, no, friends. Perhaps this can be his little vacation before he continues doing what he does best. He takes solace knowing that while they were having this adventure, someone somewhere was having and doing equally heroic efforts as well. So many amazing people in this world and all the time in the world to meet them all, but for now, he is going to spend this time to take a break. After all, move well, learn well, play well, rest well, and eat well. That is the Turtle School way and Will shall follow that till the day he dies.

For a brief moment Melody thought about the story her grandfather read to her when she was too small to even remember the old man’s name; the picture book about Emperor Pilaf and the Seven Magical dragon balls. What Will O’ Wisp believed about wishes and those fairy tail balls seemed like it was a real story. However, even after seeing a vision with her own eyes and possessing a couple of shards did she find it difficult to believe that something so powerful existed but the same could be said about the shark itself. Perhaps even the camera crews that filmed the shark approach South City looked like a joke to anyone who did not witness the event unfold before their very own eyes. While lost in thought, Kiryu responded just as quickly to aid the small creature biting down on her arm, being that it was still a predator. The mention of giving the shark to agent Reese made Melody mumble something about how he should fish for his own damn fish. Without another second to waste, she opened the shark’s jaw and submerged under the oceans surface where it immediately swam off freely; even if it did destroy ships and threatened a city there was no point in keeping it around now that the shard had been removed.
The Duchess swam back to the beach to regroup with the others with a dead panned expression at first until she began yawning from the expended ki she used to deliver her ultimate blade master technique. The speech Will was giving was around the same time she was yawning which only made her feel more lethargic as the old cat expressed himself through words; she only half listened to what he had to say. The truth was Melody was no hero, all she knew was how to fight, protecting people who were not from her village required payment and that is exactly what she was here to do as she waited for Agent Reese to confirm payment into her account so she could return to the Western Lands. Reaching inside a pocket she pulled out a small case of DynoCapsules and popped one to bring forth a fluffy white towel to toss over her shoulders to dry her face with. It only took seconds for her green hair to dry up and curl at the ends as genetics did not allow for the loss of shape.
“So what do you suppose martial artists and dragons have anything to do with each other?” Melody recalled the wish a little boy was making with the mention of a dragon. “I never knew such lizards were so powerful since they roam about in the demon lands. I am not an expert on such things but if something so powerful existed before and now the remnants are able to transfer what seems to be considered magic then it’s worth collecting every shard piece in the world.”
“There was only one, right Kiryu?” Melody raised a brow, as she did not clearly see the magic he applied to tend the shark with all the commotion of holding it while it bit her, and Will trying to calm the creature down. “You use magic, so that means you can appraise the value of a single shard?”

Will was expecting more reaction from what he had to say. Perhaps it was not the right moment for such a speech? Or perhaps they all just expended so much energy from before and after the battle with the shark that they are not in the mood. Will rubbed the back of his as he chuckled awkwardly. It was then Melody asked about the Dragon Ball. She had a point about collecting them. "Indeed, within these shards, there is a great power that can grant one's desires. One reason for collecting these shards was so they don't end up in the wrong hands as even a single shard can have great power as we saw today. However, there is no telling how many shards of these seven Mystical orbs there are, and if there is a way to put them back together. I don't you can just super glue them together and then they can work good as new. Don't think magic glue is such a thing either, if it is it's definitely not something you would find in stores. The only one who could be able to put them back together is who or whatever created them and they probably split them into pieces for a reason so they probably wouldn't be so keen on doing so even if we asked politely," Will said. Let's see, who should keep the Shard. Will can't cause he has no home or place to take care of it. Bass, he might use it as a paperweight. He then looks towards the Duke of Satan while he is cheering on about the power of Earth's martial artist, such a person from a wealthy family might be able to have a good place to store it. He is a Duke after all, why wouldn't he have a safe or a vault. He would give it better protection then the rest of them could. "Mr. erm Satan sir? Surely you have a place where you can keep such a powerful piece of a magical artifact locked uptight. A safe, a vault, a secret room in your mansion, anything that would ensure that no one can get it? You might be the best candidate to hold on to this shard. Think of it as keeping a memento of one of your greatest triumphs. Just make sure to always keep your eye on it and that it does not get taken by anyone else," Will said. He then stopped stroking the shark as the creature already has calmed down now and it's probably time to let it go back to the sea.
"You did the right thing letting it go Melody, now it can probably be with it's people and live it's life as a normal sea creature as it originally was once long ago," Will said.

The conversation between the saviors of South City and the Giants of the Coast soon shifted towards the shard which had apparently transformed this tiny, innocuous shark into the beastly monstrosity which nearly destroyed the entire city, if not the whole island. As it turns out, it was a Dragon Ball Shard, a remaining relic of a legendary artifact from many, many years ago, somehow shattered into numerous pieces and scattered across the Planet. Even a single shard practically pulsated with power, however, and had the ability to power an entire Kaiju.
Such an artifact would, obviously, need to fall to somebody's safekeeping, lest it ends up in the hands of forces of evil. Out of all the people which he could have approached for ensuring the safety of this shard, the master of the Turtle School, Will O. Wisp, decided to turn to Duke Satan. He should have a place where to safekeep it - a safe, a vault, perhaps?
"Offering this shard to my safekeeping, you say..." the Duke stated and withdrew to his thoughts, ruffling his lush beard while considering his options. "This is a more difficult dilemma to answer than you might think, mister Will. I have no issue with guarding this shard, do not get me wrong - but if it is truly as powerful as I am led to believe, and thus as valuable to the forces of selfishness and evil which roam the planet, then no vault or safe would be able to protect it. Even the toughest metal would pale in comparison to the sheer might of some evil overlord who decides to break inside and get it, after all. Hmmm..."
Suddenly, a thought crossed the noble traveller's mind, and, laughing, he stomped his foot on the ground, whipping up a small shockwave.
"I've got it! Satan City! That is where this shard should rest!"
Smirking, the Duke raised his finger into the air, ready to explain his point. "Once Satan City is constructed - and it will be constructed soon, believe me - it will be attended by the most powerful martial artists of the entire planet! Such an army of ki wielding warriors would deter even the most intimidating forces of evil from invading in search of seizing that shard, so it would be completely safe! And that's not all! If a Dragon Ball Shard is able to power a Kaiju, it will be able to power the facilities and installations across Satan City and allow generations of martial artists to frolick and train with others!"
And would it not be poetic if a shard of the legendary artifacts which drove so many martial artists of the distant past to improve and travel the world... now serves as the heart of the capital of Earth's martial arts?

Kiryu raised an eyebrow at Duke Satan. In all honesty... he did not hate the idea. A brand new city, constructed to give the world's best and brightest martial artists a place to come together? To train, to grow, to stand in defense of the world against any that would attempt to harm it? It had a lot of appeal. Kiryu was trying to do much the same thing, but had never conceived of doing so on such a grand scale. Before he responded, though, he nodded at Melody, answering her query.
"The value of such an item is... frankly incalculable."
Rather than merely monologue, Kiryu made a gesture, silently exerting his will and magical power, pulling from his pocket dimension his own Dragon Ball Shard, the one he had found alongside the Crystal Ball in his possession. The sun glinted off of the pristine shard, orange light filtered through the prism of the unknown material.
"This is the one I came across. After doing a bit of research... it's possible to create items of extraordinary power with them. They may have additional uses as well, I can't be sure. I don't know if there's truth to the old legends of mystical dragon-gods granting immortality and returning the dead to life... but, well, if these items are merely shards of those relics... and there were more than one of them... I have to tell you the truth. I have no idea of the potential power we're talking about, there. It would be magic and energy manipulation on a scale I can't even begin to fathom. It would be the sort of power that people have dreamed about since we first discovered that people could be... more than mortal, I guess. So yeah, I could not begin to assess what this item would be worth monetarily."
Kiryu looked at the assembled people and, with another effort of will, dismissed his own Shard back to the ether it inhabited.
"I'm nominally fine with Duke Satan looking after the item. I know what you meant about not necessarily being the strongest, Duke, but... well, I already have one. I think Bass has at least one. And we are the two strongest people kicking around... at least, at this point in time. It would probably be a better idea to spread the items out, diffuse them, so that way, in case anything does develop, or someone goes after them, they're not all in one place. But before we decide anything, let's go get debriefed."
At that, Kiryu headed back to meet Agent Reese, assuming that the rest of the group would follow. Hopefully they would not be held up much longer; Kiryu had been glad to help, but this had been a hell of a stressful day. He was looking forward to being able to kick back and relax, at least for a few days, before setting out on his next adventure.
Kiryu had the sinking suspicion that it was not going to get any easier from here on out.

"Satan City does sound like a novel idea. I wouldn't mind getting a new home or setting up a new dojo to represent the Turtle School there. Just be careful when using that Dragon Ball Shard as a power source. We wouldn't want giant bugs, plants and animals running amok now would we nya ha ha ha!" Will said. He then marveled at the Dragon Ball Shard Kiryu had in his possession. They look like they are a piece of a similar puzzle however while Will is putting them close together it seems that these two don't fit together. Perhaps these are shards of two separate Dragon Balls, which numbered stars he is unsure as these shards don't seem to have a part of the star or stars showing like the ones from the vision. Nevertheless, Kiryu is right that spreading them out would be the best course of action to keep them away from such power-hungry villains. Especially that of the infamous Daimao Piccolo who would no doubt want these shards for himself. "Having them stay apart for now and spreading them out does seem to best course of action, as long as we hang on to them, and if we ever find people who find more shards, if there was ever a dire situation where the Dragon Balls are required to be one again, then at least we would have most of the shards needed in our possession to repair them. And if they can be used to craft something of great power I wonder what I could make if I could gain one, or that if I could find someone that can be able to make something with it," Will said. It was then Kiryu said that they should go back to be debriefed. Hopefully, Reese will be understanding of this whole situation. If they actually let them keep the Dragon Ball Shard is another story, but since they did manage to beat the Kaiju with relative ease together without causing collateral damage, and also the successful evacuation of South City. Reese might be in a good mood thanks to their recent efforts and thus may let Duke Satan keep it after all. He flies off on his Nimbus cloud to meet up with the others to tell Reese the good news. Of course, since there was no damage done perhaps the "hurricane warning" will be reported as a mistake as to not freak anyone out that a giant flying shark monster almost ate the entire island.

Kiryu revealed a different shard that he was in possession of and despite his knowledge in magic he could not determine the value of the shards. It was disappointing to know that it was impossible to place a zeni price tag on it and she bit her tongue. Her violet eyes rolled as Duke Satan was going to build an entire city over valuable land, which she found was useless, given that land is better to be cultivated than be turned into a metropolis, she was from the country and she found most cities to be an eyesore even more so if one was being built from the ground up. It was envious that such lucrative ventures were conceivable by the nobel’s wealth she was not going to allow herself to be jealous now that she was somehow in possession of two shards that made her believe they belonged to Bass. In that sense, she was most fortunate, but she had no idea what to do with them until Will O’ Wisp brought the idea of having a smith utilize its power to make something. While she had no interest in making something for herself, the idea of making something for her armory was quite suitable, and her attention was snapped back to reality as Kiryu left to report in to Agent Reese. She immediately followed closely behind the mage in the direction of the underground facility they had emerged from their debriefing at the start of the day.
“Hey, Kiryu, I am interested in what you are capable of, and if you’re talented enough you would be able to avoid my blade if I swung it at you. How about a little test sometime? I still plan on remaining on the island for a few more days before heading out.”
While she waited for the wonder boy to answer she looked towards Will, “I take it you’re still going to be on the island for a few more days, too. Be sure to drop me a line, I enjoy your company, after all.”

When they arrived in the meeting room, a stack of Zeni was being counted on a table. A very large stack, perhaps more Zeni than any in the group had seen, but who could know with such high rollers. Initially it was over 1,000,000 Zeni stacked out on the table, but as an insurance adjuster and accountant spoke into Agent Reese's ears. After counting out a specific amount, he removed it from each of the five stacks of Zeni bills.
"There was considerable damage from his arrival, as well as a need to cover up the energy that was used in that series of strikes. The combination of the two caused serious damage in South City, and the government is going to have to pay for the repairs of that. So what we were going to pay you is instead being lessened by the amount of damage which was caused, divided by fifty, which seems like a fair amount of money to remove from you all's potential pay for being the momentary heroes of the city."
