Savina had been in the West City for only around a fortnight before she had grown somewhat disinterested with the bustle of commerce. There were a plethora of dojo that she had visited in an attempt to seek out powerful opponents, but found most to be woefully lacking- the strongest humans she found in those places were often dramatically weaker than even the most malnourished of the chimeric creatures she faced back in her birth-bunker. Of course, some of them boasted some significant feats, but were ultimately unable to conjure up more than a pathetic amount of ki… which ultimately meant that they would be unable to deliver enough damage to Savina’s body to be considered a proper threat. She humored the first few with duels that ended all too quickly, but later opted to hold herself back severely in an attempt to study the fighting form that those humans practiced. Some possessed interesting techniques in principle, but usually lacked the strength or speed to execute them properly against Savina even in a suppressed state. The android learned as much as she could from them, though most of what they demonstrated failed to measure up to the natural ability that her body possessed. She needed to find stronger opponents, to fight those with power and technique alike- that was the only way that she would learn. The alternative of simply ‘strong’ opponents would suffice just as well, given that they would at least provide a decent measure of her progress thus far. Such were her thoughts when she set out to the plains beyond the city; with any luck, she would find herself stumbling across someone as strong as Bryce training out in the wilderness. Sure, she recognized that it was a fairly unlikely idea based simply on probability, but she could still hope. Throughout her wandering outward, however, Savina found herself wondering if she would be better suited to returning to her bunker to resign to darkness and combat simulations until more of the world caught up with her. Poor girl didn’t have the slightest inclining that she should be traveling further south if she wanted to find the strongest of the strong- nor the smallest idea that she would barely compare to any of them.
To her great surprise, the girl happened upon not another fighter of significant power-- but the entrance to a facility that seemed to be of the same origin as the one she was created in. The structure’s entryway was a large metal door hidden behind a holographic display of a hillside sheared off, forming some kind of quasi-plateau. Savina would have missed it entirely if her sensors had not suddenly informed her that a technology very similar to her own was active nearby.
Upon pressing her hand through the holographic display, the hillside illusion vanished entirely and revealed the door beyond. Whatever tech controlled the display had recognized her as at least a semi-friendly entity. She quickly located a keypad that would likely give way to the bunker’s bounty within… but just as quickly discovered that she had no idea what manner of combination was required for entry. The girl attempted several dozens of failing variations before giving up and opting to instead knock loudly on the metal, as if it were some residential door.
“Anyone home? I’m Savina-- I came from a place that had a door like this one!” she called out hopefully. A few moments of silence passed, then she knocked again. There was still no answer. Disappointing. Perhaps it was abandoned, just as her bunker had been? The android took a step back and mustered up the majority of her strength into a single resonating punch, intending to open the bunker by force.
The door did not budge. Rather, the nerves within Savina’s knuckles screamed out with simulated pain-- that bunker door was far more fortified than anything in her own. To her, it meant that something particularly excited must have been sealed inside; the girl’s resolve failed to waver at her initial failure. She jumped back a fair distance further and aimed her palms directly at the door. If a single punch resulted in only pain, the Saiyan-Android reasoned that an endless stream of blasts would whittle away at the door’s integrity at no risk to her own person. She would find her way in, damn it!
She unleashed countless beams from her hands, burying the door beneath a barrage of energy. The blasts themselves had precisely no success in chipping away at the door, but they did illuminate the area around her position quite visibly. Anyone any within even a handful of kilometers’ distance would undoubtedly be made aware of her location.

Even a beast needed to slumber. A long thin blade of grass dangled from between his lips as he chewed on its root. It would draw very little sustenance, but it was an action done more out of habit than hunger. Cress found he was far more comfortable roaming the plains with the beasts than in the bustling industrial cities that dotted the land. West City was one such city, and though he knew he would venture there at some necessary point, he was in no hurry to surround himself with towering buildings, noisy cars, and self-centered beings.
How such small insignificant people could think so much of themselves was far beyond his capacity to grasp. If he wanted, he could wipe most of that city off the face of the earth. But it was worth neither the time nor the effort to do so. Besides, there was a fine line between emperor and despot; Cress did not wish to be a tyrant, for tyrants were weak and cowardly and hid behind their wealth and numbers. He wanted to be an undisputed ruler with both the strength and forbearance to bear out such a title. All of it would come in due time. For now, he needed to get stronger.
A deep rumbling filled the air and shook the ground beneath him. Cress cracked an eye, his partial sleep state interrupted. The big Saiyan sat up for a moment as he attempted to determine the source of such disturbance. It didn't take long. Explosions lit up a nearby pasture as if some fierce battle were being raged there. He immediately sprung to his feet, deceptively quick for such a heavily muscled frame. Cape flapping in the wind, Cress stalked forth like a predatory roused from his hibernation. He was hungry in more ways than one. Would he find his feast?
All of that ruckus, caused by one woman? No. Not just a woman—Savina, the android. From the neck down, the gleaming metallic alloys of her arms and body stood out in stark contrast to the surrounding green pastures and rolling hills. A smoldering pile of rubble stood before her, tendrils of oily smoke rising into the sky as bits of dirt and grass rained down around her. He stalked over to her, pausing a few steps away as he rubbed the back of his head. "Well, isn't this rather irritating? Look—I don't care if you want to train. But do it quieter, or somewhere else entirely."

The android had been so focused on attempting to blow open the outpost’s door that she had failed to notice her scanners indicating that a power source was closing on her position. Her barrage of blasts continued right up until the very moment that Cress spoke- and it became immediately clear that he had startled Savina. She jumped in place, spinning around and thrusting her palm toward him as if she were to target him next with a flurry of energy bolts; to her credit, Savina possessed enough restraint to keep herself from attacking the large man out of simple fright. The very fact that she had allowed herself to be snuck up on like that was deeply embarrassing, leading her to puff out her cheeks with a pout. Not only had he startled her so thoroughly, but he also demanded that she keep her noise down or move somewhere else to do her ‘training’. That was outrageous- this was the wilderness, and there were no houses nearby for her to even have considered that she would be disturbing someone. Hell, with the exceptionally large animals(dinosaurs, even!) that roamed these plains, the girl figured that a noise disturbance would be considered par for the course.
“I’m not training, I’m trying to get in--” she snapped back and jabbed an accusatory finger toward the bunker door. Despite all of her best efforts, the metal structure was intact and almost entirely unharmed. Of course, the area around it was scorched and smoldering from her barrage- but that did little more than reveal further stretches of the metal that made up the outpost door. Savina continued to pout for a second thereafter, but soon found her expression relaxing when she realized that she was at least familiar with the large man before her. He had been in West City, too! Quite the braggart, if she recalled correctly. Then again, lots of strong fighters tended to be- and he definitely was much stronger than any of the humans she had suffered through previously.
“Hey- hey! I remember you,” the girl vocalized, “Yeah, you were that strong guy from the City! Say, I’m not making any progress with this dang door, and you’re here, so… wanna have a match?” Her posture had relaxed by that point, at least enough to uncross her arms. She did not immediately take up a battle-ready stance, but was internally preparing herself for whatever came next. Some people did seem so eager to get things started, after all!

It seemed he had startled her. Savina whirled on him, her palm outstretched as she prepared to deliver an energy blast at him. He blinked, glancing at her palm, then back at her eyes. "If you're going to aim a weapon at me," he began slowly, "You had better ensure it's sufficient to accomplish its task." It did not anger him—it was clearly the result of her own finely honed reflexes of which he had gotten to become better acquainted with during their recent stint in West City. Something akin to respect may have shone in his dark eyes, or perhaps they merely caught and reflected the sunlight.
Either way it seemed his disposition toward Savina softened, yet those unaccustomed to reading the slightest shifts in non-verbal communication would only note that he wore his typical, irritated scowl—she had disturbed his nap after all. She retorted that she wasn't training, jabbing a finger toward a set of heavy bulwark doors he hadn't noticed. The dust and debris had begun to settle displaying the twin doors, scorched and dented beneath the weight of the gynoid's assault. It was an oddity to be certain—some secret bunker here in the thick of the wild plains?
"Looks like you've stumbled onto something intriguing. Of course you can't open it—something that well hidden is probably reinforced steel with some sort of katchin-alloy. Durable stuff." Perhaps it was shocking to hear something intelligent come from the big Saiyan, but he wasn't all brawn and boasting. He stalked over to the door, his fingers stroking his chin as he appraised it. It had to be more than a few inches thick. "Let me give it a shot... I'm awake now, so I may as well do something." He clenched his fist and reared back, face contorting in a grim determination.
He fist flew toward the metal surface and slammed into it, rocking the hillside from the concussive force of his blow. Once the slight tremor subsided, Cress frowned to realize the door still stood; the dent Savina made was far more sizable than his own. "Tch. Of course. We can't all have metallic limbs, now can we?" Cybernetic enhancements... it almost felt like cheating. "If I'm not getting through this door, no one is. Besides... it smells like trouble. Probably not worth our time—"
His words faltered as she leveled her challenge at him. His scowl vanished to be replaced with a sinister smirk. "Why am I not surprised? You've more than proven you can be just as combative as me." Cress was no fool—he'd seen Savina's strength, and it surpassed even his own. Yet what was power alone? If one did not possess the fortitude and tact to wield it, they could pummel this reinforced bulwark to pieces and still be worthless in battle. And since when has he ever turned down a challenge? "Alright. I've wanted a crack at you since that fiasco in West City." He pounded a fist into his hand and cracked his knuckles. This ought to be fun.

She took a step back and simply watched as Cress moved forward and made his own attempt at breaking open the metallic doorway. To nobody’s great surprise, he was also unsuccessful- making an even smaller dent in it than Savina had from the process. Of course, he took that opportunity to critique her own artificial body as the source of her strength. That incited the girl to lift her metal palm upward and stare down into it. Was it really so unfair that she had a body made that way? It wasn’t like she was given a choice to have an artificial body- and she wagered that many more fleshly creatures would probably not enjoy the idea of being trapped in the darkness before actually gaining a body as she had been. A small scowl tugged at the corners of Savina’s lips. The girl wasn’t exactly ‘happy’ about having a false body. She couldn’t quite heal from wounds the same way that a creature of flesh could, anything that damaged her beyond her own understanding required a specialist… and the ones who had designed her had vanished into thin air. Really, this discovery was most exciting because it potentially meant that Savina could meet the beings who had given her the form that they had. Then, she mused, she could ask them why, and if it could be reversed. Alas, there was little to be done about it given how tightly sealed up the bunker was.
“Y’know, I’d trade you if I could. I didn’t ask to be put in a body like this, but I also don’t remember a time before I was, y’know, all metal bits and whatnot. It definitely has its perks, but it’s not all rainbows and sunshine-- I don’t actually know what anything feels like. My sensations are all simulated, so I constantly wonder if things feel like they’re supposed to. Does an orange taste different to me than it does to you? Does it feel the same when we both get hurt? I have no way of knowing, ‘cause my brain is basically in a jar and being fed synthesized sensations. The only thing that’s real is the enjoyment I get from a fight, an’ I think you can understand that!” she replied aloud, smiling with a bit of melancholy spilling through her expression. The gynoid hadn’t intended on bearing her emotions to this practical stranger as she had, but it had probably been a long time coming. Most people weren’t particularly interested in the person behind her machinery- just how strong she was and how they could benefit from that strength. Savina wasn’t really complaining about that, mind. She thrived in battle and welcomed every opportunity to struggle and learn.
“Anyways, yeah! You’re strong, and I wanna see how we match up in reality. Honestly, I hope you win-- ‘cause it’s more fun when we rematch that way!” she grinned and dropped into a combat ready stance with legs spread and one open hand extended toward Cress, as if inviting him to make the first move.

Cress stared blankly at Savina as she spoke of her plight. He could feel his own fighting spirit begin to wane a bit, and he lowered his clenched fists to his sides. A wry frown touched his lips as his gaze turned aside, unable to look at her as she recalled what seemed like a rather private matter. He felt as if he were intruding upon an important moment, and these were words unfit for the ears of an apathetic man like himself.
He didn't want to relate to a machine yet her story reminded him of his own dark past. How long had he spent wandering those caverns alone without a soul to talk to? From scorpions to tarantulas to deadly rats carrying sickening illnesses—all his life had been a fight for survival. Cress had never been given a say in the matter. He had a tough hand thrust upon his broad shoulders and was expected to fulfill his destiny.
Screw destiny. He'd go his own way, and do his own thing. "Why'd ya have to go and ruin the fun of the moment? Sheesh..." He folded his arms and sighed. "There's no way I can pound on ya after a sappy tale like that. It sucks—I get it. I've had my own share of problems, but I can say I'm grateful for the fact that I can feel things. Hear things, see things, smell things... just the way they are. So... sucks for you, I guess."
If it had been his intention of relating to Savina, Cress was doing a terrible job of it. But relating to others was never his strong suit. "Listen. You're strong. You wanna know what that means? It means you can do whatever the hell you wanna do. Who cares if you can't feel or taste stuff like the rest of us? It's probably a good thing, so count yourself lucky. Now... enough yappin'." His hand fell to the pommel of the katchin-reinforced katana that hung at his waist—courtesy of Duchess Melody. "We gonna fight or what? I'm not gonna attack until I know your head's in the game."

Savina nodded along with Cress’s reply. It was brusque and certainly a bit difficult to discern the emotion behind, but she was able to understand that he sympathised as best he could given the situation. She didn’t really expect any amount of empathy for her story- it had come spilling out almost unintentionally, and sometimes it was better to just get a troubling thing off one’s mind by speaking it without expectation of pity or remorse from others. Still, it was pleasant to see that even one as seemingly callous as Cress was capable of at least pantomime basic emotional aptitude. “ Thanks to bein’ a Saiyan, I can at least naturally enjoy the thrill of fighting- like I said! No need to go and get all soft on me just ‘cause I told you a thing or two about how my body works. If anything, it should make you wanna fight that much harder, ‘cause that’s the only way we can actually relate!” the girl replied happily before bouncing back and forth in place, pretending to limber up her limbs. That was one thing that was a certain perk of her mechanical body- she didn’t need warmups, stretches, or even exercise to keep her body in fighting form. It simply was. “ Let’s get it goin’ then! I’m excited to actually test your strength out!” wc: 236 twc: 1987

"Test my strength? Heh. Sounds about right."
Something akin to fire blossomed in his chest. His heart pounded against his ribcage. It was the thrill of the coming battle; his Saiyan blood called to the kinship in the gynoid and sought a worthy opponent, yet it was tempered by his Demon half—the part of him that analyzed her with narrowed eyes as Cress looked for any obvious weakness.
There were none that he could observe, but that didn't mean they didn't exist. What were her natural limits? She would obviously have him beat in terms of stamina, maybe durability. Pain, real or imagined, was pain so he figured punching her lights out would hurt.
"Alright, then. Get ready!"
He thrust a hand out at his side as a crackling rift of energy opened and spat out the hilt of a weapon. His calloused fingers grasped the katana's hilt as he drew the long, one-sided blade. The sharp edge glinted where it caught and reflected the sun's light. Black demonic energy coated its surface, swirling and ebbing around the weapon.
"You asked for it." He brandished the weapon in front of himself and stood at the ready. "Don't get pissed off at me if you die!"
The half-demon's aura exploded around him as he charged at Savina with a powerful slash of his blade. If he let up his assault for even a second, she was likely to finish him off.

Cress erupted into movement faster than Savina had anticipated, adding further to the surprise of him drawing a blade against her. She wasn’t particularly afraid of the blade itself, given that it was unlikely to be harder than her body’s own construction, but it was the first time that anyone had pulled a weapon on her in a match- friendly or otherwise. Of course, she was prone to producing two similar blades from her own forearms, so she couldn’t really hold a grudge for the man’s chosen technique. To her benefit, however, the slight extra time it took to draw forth his blade diluted just enough of her opponent’s speed to allow her a chance to hop backward and bounce clearly out of harm’s way. “ Ooh, almost got me with that one! You’re right, though-- I should take this seriously if I don’t wanna end up mince… machine? Is that even a thing? Scrap! Scrap metal, that’s it. Anyways, here I go!” Savina gleefully announced her intent to attack just before she, too, became encapsulated by the fiery glow of her aura. She surged back across the small distance between the two, almost appearing to flicker between locations as she moved. The girl’s momentum halted suddenly just short of Cress himself, whereupon her fists snapped forward; each of the android’s hands were wholly engulfed within bright spheres of potent energy, serving as perhaps the only true warning for the amount of force Cress was possibly about to get smashed with. Savina’s hands snapped forward again and again, driving those spheres of energy into the half-demon’s abdomen as powerfully as she could manage- hoping to gauge his durability with that initial flurry of force. wc: 291 twc: 2278

His blade swung in a ferocious arc that was sure to rend metal from her body if it had connected. Savina was deceptively quick: she danced out of the way of his blade with the dexterity and grace of a seasoned fighter, much to Cress's dismay. She was much faster than she looked, but even she admitted it was by a hair's breadth that she had dodged his first attack.
She seemed to go on an air-headed tangent as she tried to determine what sort of damage taking such a blow from Cress would have done before powering up of her own accord—Savina deciding to take the fight seriously. She moved faster than the natural eye could follow or track, merely a rapid blur at her undetectable approach. The gynoid reappeared before Cress and raised fists glowing with potent energy.
His eyes widened in stunned surprise.
His body hunched behind his blade and prepared to weather the storm as a dense black aura coated his body a fraction of a second before her blows rained against him.
What sheer power!
He'd seen some of what the gynoid was capable of during their stint in West City, but to be on the receiving end of it was a nightmare. Cress staggered backwards as he reeled from the heavy blows. If he hadn't coated his body in a protective cocoon of aura, the damage would have been substantial yet even now he hadn't escaped unscathed.
He spat blood from his mouth before he charged at Savina again. Cress wasn't going to let himself be intimidated by her, not by a long shot! He slashed at her again and again in a vicious flurry meant to disorientate and confuse long enough to get a decisive strike in.

She was impressed by his ability to mitigate the force of her blows with his aura alone. That was the first time that Savina had seen anyone attempt anything like that- most other blocks came by way of traditional physical interceptions or forcing attacks to glance off. If she and others were able to use a shroud of their energy to augment the force of their blows, then of course it stood to reason that the opposite could be true. Really, the girl felt a bit daft for not having considered such an option earlier-- with how often she augmented her bare fists, it should have occurred to her far, far earlier to do as Cress had. That was the beauty in fighting opponents of all kinds, though. Even though her raw power outclassed her opponent in their current states, he still had things that she could learn from. Even the weakest of martial artists may have possessed some unique technique that no other “more powerful” styles had. Even despite his shielding, however, the larger Saiyan was still noticeably injured by Savina’s barrage of blows. She smiled at him to acknowledge his feat, only to be interrupted by Cress’s return charge, blade brandished before him. The man wove an intricate web of slashes toward her, clearly intending to push the gynoid back enough to cause a lapse in her attention. Unfortunately for him, her body’s sub-algorithms had predicted such a flurry and set her into motion with sequential dodges as soon as the first slash was delivered. She bobbed and wove through each arc of the man’s blade, slipping harmlessly away from the sword’s edge at each turn; Savina had considered attempting to replicate his action and simply shielding her body from harm, but there was a feeling resting within the depths of her mind that he would happily sheer her arm off of her body if allowed the opportunity to. That was not to say that she necessarily sensed direct malign intent coming from Cress- simply that he took his fights, spars or otherwise, quite seriously. As soon as she noticed the slightest lull in the pace of his slashes, Savina dipped to the side and thrust her palm toward the flat of his blade, intending to knock it wide and leave the man potentially open to another assault of her own. She pivoted inward, fists again lighting up with the telltale hue of her concentrated energy- and again she lashed out at Cress’s torso, fully aiming to bury the man’s chest beneath a nearly unending barrage of powered-up punches. wc: 435 twc: 2713

She moved with the elegance of a dancer. Her slender frame wove and dipped between his attacks as if they were playing a game, or orchestrating a dance. A hint of a smile touched her lips: she enjoyed this deadly dalliance, as one might enjoy a hot cup of tea on a chilly winter evening. Exasperation blossomed in his chest. He tightened his grip on his sword hilt, clinging to the one sure certainty of victory that he possessed. Cress was accustomed to seeing fear in the eyes of his prey. But in Savina's dark orbs he observed but one thing—excitement. Did she enjoy this? Toying with him? She pranced about him as if his actions were little more than the clumsy assault of some amateur swordsman. He would never beat her like this. One of his swings went wild over her head, and it was then she picked her moment to strike. Savina swept in low, coiled like a snake before she thrust a palm into the flat of his sword and dislodged it from his hand. His gut tightened in morose anticipation. Cress hunkered down and threw up his guard, thick arms coiling protectively around his head and shoulders. He already knew the beating that was about to come his way from the way her fists began to glow yet again. Worse still, he was in too much pain to conjure yet another dense protective layer of demonic energy that absorbed the brunt of her assault before. This was going to hurt. Sure enough, she pummeled his large, heavily muscled frame with merciless blows that rocked the half-demon on his feet. He swayed dangerously back and forth with each concussive strike that sought to knock him flat. His heart thrummed in his chest. Adrenaline spiked in his veins. A smirk tugged at his lips as he weathered the vicious blows. It was the thrill of battle he had come to love and cherish. The bigger the threat and the greater his disadvantage, the more he craved the fight. He could see it now—the pattern of her strikes. Cress had began to grow accustomed to the way she threw her punches. What had at first been a cacophony of madness he had begun to track: so much so that some of the blows he managed to block and a few he outright dodged. A powerful right hook aimed for his jaw missed his head, and Cress watched it sail past before he sought to press the sudden advantage. "Now we're talking! Give me all you've got! Hold back, and I'll murder ya!"He surged forward with a flurry of rapid punches and kicks of his own, throwing his weight behind each powerful blow as he aimed toward Savina's center of mass. She was smaller than he was, which made the gynoid a harder target to hit: his best bet was a relentless volley of strikes and hoping one of them landed. One lucky shot and he'd put her right on her shiny metallic ass. zer0gravitea [ 507 / 2329 ] CRESS, DEMON SAIYANSUMMARY PHASE.

Savina felt her blows fall against Cress’s guarded frame first, then she began to notice the distinctive lack of impact when several strikes began to miss their mark. The large man was learning her style far more quickly than she could have anticipated and even the raw difference in potential power between them did not stop him from being damn near as durable as the alien door nearby. The android was impressed- but more than that, she was thrilled. Though the battle was not quite as dogged as it had been with Bryce those weeks ago, this massive man had a potential to him that meant he would only get stronger and stronger. Savina liked that. Savina liked that a lot. Fighter’s favor aside, the girl heard her opponent’s declaration before she saw the shift in energy within his body. He was going to deliver an attack that would deal noticeable damage if she didn’t stop playing around. Very well, then-- Cress had demanded everything that she had… and so he would receive it. Savina’s inner energy reserves spiked dramatically, coalescing into trails of violent, scarlet, electricity. Her body launched backward with a yet unseen speed, sliding her quickly out of Cress’s dangerous volley of strikes. “ Okay, here I go for serious this time! Just don’t complain if you don’t like the difference in styles!” she happily quipped back and shifted her stance; the girl’s fists clenched and commanded a long blade to snap out of the outer edge of her forearm on either arm. Cress had used a sword of his own, so this was fair game now- right? She hoped so, since other opponents seemed to take exception to her using her blades even though they were literally a part of her physiology. Details for another time, though! The android disappeared from sight, only coming into visibility again immediately before Cress. She had considered attacking him from behind, but ultimately figured that it was more polite to show him the strength he requested head-on; the next one could come from a tricky angle. Her arms lanced forward and wove an intricate pattern of slashes toward her opponent’s torso, blades flashing with sufficient speed to make her limbs appear as little more than blurred shadows. Her swords, if they could be properly called that, moved with hazardous intention; each strike was placed to be a deliberate and painful assault, though even their combined total was clearly not intended to deliver a truly lethal blow. She wanted to push Cress to grow stronger, not to maim the poor guy. wc: 437 twc: 3150

He watched the long blades snap out of her armored forearms. Long, thin, and razor sharp—they were built to rend metal to pieces. His eyes widened at the sight of them, and he had a hard time swallowing the lump that suddenly formed in his throat. Where the hell was she hiding those things? What other weapons were hidden on her body he was unaware of? There was much he didn't understand about engaging machines in combat; Savina wasn't those mindless drones they fought in West City. This woman knew how to hurt a guy. He needed to avoid those blades at all cost. It felt impossible. Cress didn't have the same fluidity and elegance to his movements as she did when she dodged his attacks. No fancy footwork or slick maneuvers—he was a big ass target, and tried to get the hell out of dodge. Some of her attacks sailed past his body, whistling through the air. Others lashed against his arms where he'd raised them to guard once more, leaving deep stinging cuts that bled black demon's blood and stained his wife beater shirt and black jean pants. "Damn it!" He couldn't stand against this assault. He had to create some distance. Cress leaped backward a few yards, panting heavily as he observed the cuts on his arms. They hurt like a son of a bitch, but he'd live. His dark gaze slid to Savina's ready stance, and the grin on her face. This crazy chick was loving this. Probably more than he was. "Guess I had that coming. Alright, chickadee—you wanna see a really special attack? C'mere." Cress gestured for her to come closer. If Savina fell for it, he would stand there grinning at her as if he had some juicy secret to divulge. If one could call the switchblade he held behind his back a secret, retrieved from his back pocket. He suddenly launched the knife at her with pinpoint precision—a diversionary tactic. He didn't expect it to hit: only surprise Savina enough for him to charge behind it as he swung his mighty right arm. His fist propelled forward as if it had been fired from a cannon. If this caught her, he'd leave her as little more than a heap of scrap. zer0gravitea [ 383 / 2712 ] CRESS, DEMON SAIYANSUMMARY PHASE.

It was true, Savina was loving this fight as she loved all fights. She wouldn’t consider herself particularly crazy for such a thought- after all, it was perfectly normal for a Saiyan to thrive in the heat of battle; it was a potent a biological imperative as eating or breeding was to other species, probably. Moreover, it wasn’t like she would attack others out of the blue or force them to fight her when they didn’t want to. The girl loved to fight- she wasn’t a barbarian. Or, well, not a barbarian in that sense, at the very least. Nearly a point of irony to the defense of her ‘sanity’, the android was quite surprised that she did not bury Cress beneath her blades as she had intended. He was not the most agile of opponents when it came to dodging, so… she was left to wonder if there was some part of her that was holding back for his sake. Savina looked to the blades coming from her arms, observing the blood that had accumulated on them. After how poorly Bryce had reacted to being cut, was she unintentionally preventing herself from using those weapons as they were intended to be used? That didn’t seem right to her- Cress had used a sword first this time, so surely it was all fair… right? For better or worse, Savina wouldn’t be allowed to contemplate her own failures for long. The distraction left her wide open to her opponent, who was sure to exploit her lack of attention. When he gestured toward her, she glanced up and took a curious step forward-- only, of course, to be surprised by the appearance of a small blade hurled right at her. She let out a breath of surprise, but pivoted to the side and avoided the blade’s trajectory with ample room to spare. However, that was precisely what Cress had wanted to her to do; her focus had been almost entirely on the blade, leaving her flat-footed to the massive man’s truck of a fist coming in behind it. Savina’s head snapped backward with the force of his punch, forcing her to stumble backward for a step. It was an impressive blow, though her durability was a bit too much to be truly rendered a scrap heap just from a single strike like that. “ That was a pretty good punch! Better not let myself get clobbered again, hm?” she replied with a smile. The blow had not done significant damage to her structure by itself, but she reasoned that her nose would probably be broken in a bad way if she had been made of more fleshly bits. Besides, it didn’t do her any good to taunt him with the fact that it would probably take close to a hundred of those powerful punches to bring her to her knees. More importantly was the fact that he was willing to bring out a second blade even after seeing what the android’s arm-swords were capable of. He also didn’t complain about their presence- which meant to Savina that she could continue using them, provided she didn’t go for any overtly lethal attacks. With her smile still plastered across her face, the gynoid again spurred herself into extreme speeds. That tell-tale scarlet electricity arced off of her arms as she flickered around Cress, lashing out with each of her blades each time she appeared; she fully intended to slash through every presented side of his body. wc: 591 twc: 3741
