The man seemed to absorb the blasts he was throwing at him. It was probably time to get more serious and try to bring more of his power to bear. He took a moment to concentrate, pulling more of the arcane currents around him into his pool of power; he had momentarily forgotten that his opponent was prone to quick action and felt the fiery energy ram into him. He snarled and staggered back as he shrugged a good deal of the damage off and snapped a reflexive shot of crimson straight at the man's head. That's not going to be enough, I need to elevate my attacks... With his other hand he once again traced the blue runes out into the air; the geometric shapes blazed in the air as his finger drew them out with practiced precision. As he finished he saluted his opponent, "I thought you might need to... cool down after that little display. Allow me, hothead." The shapes blazed almost too bright to look at and coalesced into a bright blue pool of energy; through the portal ice spears once again shot forth towards the fiery tempered man that faced him. Another direct hit. The charging burst of flaming energy slammed into the wizard, connecting solidly; although it did not deal as much damage as Luther would've liked. The wizard shot a rather random bolt of crimson energy, directed at the big man's head. Luther saw it coming by a figurative mile. He ducked under the energy Blast, allowing it to pass through the space in which the rapper's head once was, and it flew into the empty sky, dissipating unceremoniously. It was now that Luther noticed that the little man seemed to be drawing weirdly precise shapes in front of him, and the taller of the two watched them carefully. "Enough with the puns already. They gettin' old." A portal was seemingly created from the brilliantly shining blue shapes, and out of it shot out shards of ice, flying through the air directly towards Luther. He ignited his brilliant, burning aura, and with a loud roar, opened his mouth wider than he ever had before. Immediately, a burning beam of energy flew from his mouth, engulfing the ice spears as it charged violently towards the wizard. Soon, the ki would dissipate, and Luther would wipe his brow. He spit on the ground hatefully, and prepared himself for whatever the little demon could toss at him next.

Atalan's attacks flew wide and sent ice shattering across the road and spiking through trees. He almost looked down at his hands in disbelief; he rarely aimed so poorly. He took a deep breath and used some of his power to clear his mind, bringing the battle back into focus. He started moving before the buffoon before him stopped talking and launched his clumsy fireball again. It seemed the calmer this guy got the worse he fought. He briefly considered trying to piss him off again... but he was ready to hit him and try to chop him down. Luther braced himself for the impact which was soon to come. Once more, the demon summoned his little 'portal', and fired the shards of ice towards his opponent. They seemed better placed this time, and Luther found it to be impossible to avoid them all. Some of the sharp spears completely missed the android again, while others finally found their mark, slamming into him roughly. He crossed his arms, attempting to soften the impact as much as he possibly could as the ice spears hit their mark. Luther felt a sudden chill over his forearms, as the icicles did their work. He flared his crimson aura automatically, although that didn't do much to soothe the icy pain he felt on his bulky forearms. He sneered once more, and planted his feet on the ground before he imbued his fist with burning, red hot energy. In response to the man's short comment, Luther replied, "Hmph, looks like someone's a little too happy."He'd been attempting to combat the wizard with ranged attacks since the bout had begun, and they didn't seem to be doing nearly as much damage as he wanted them to. So, he opted for a more physical approach. The wizard didn't look like much when it came to that department, so Luther would attempt to punch the guy. Hard and powerfully. And knock him down onto the ground; where the guy belonged. It's about time this dumbass fight ends.It truly was. Luther had better things to do, and he wanted, no, needed his car to be repaired! Luther launched himself from the ground, and flew through the air towards his opponent. He drew back his fist, leaving a trail of crimson red energy in the air, before attempting to thrust the fist straight into the man's face.

Atalan got a feeling of satisfaction as some of his ice finally struck the brute. This was his kind of battle, staying at a distance, no swords nearly slicing him in half... all in all much better than his last encounter. He started gathering in more energy when he noticed something troubling; his opponent was streaking towards him like a comet of fury. He danced quickly to the side, dancing back to regain some space. The last thing he wanted was for this to get up close and personal. He stopped as the man landed and sent a streak of red ki out from his fist, calling in more power to ease his tiredness. He raised his fists and fired two crimson streaks of power towards the brute to occupy him while he gathered his power, one aimed for his head and the second for his knee. He called out conversationally, "So are you into rap music at all? I don't want one of your mix tapes, if so. Rap is just spoken word poetry to a beat, it's obnoxious." It was a long shot, but he figured anything he could do to needle his opponent and anger him might make him miss more. Luther's fist did succeed in hitting something, but it wasn't anything near to satisfying for the rap star. His fist struck the floor of the earth as the wizard avoided his strike with some ease, and sent a large amount of dust flying through the air. Luther's perception seemed received a massive increase. He watched every tiny movement the wizard made carefully, and saw the ki blasts coming before they were even formed. As soon as the bursts of energy flew quickly towards him, the rap star raised his hands twice as quickly, and caught the two energy blasts before tossing them carelessly to the side. The man's comment irked Luther slightly, but the big man had more reason and control over himself than he had before. "Did you just... assume I'm into rap? You hear my stuff?"Casually, the taller of the two flared his violent aura. It danced around him, and glowed a brilliant bright crimson. It had a more... artificial feel to it, courtesy of his current mechanical state. He obviously failed to even notice the question that had been thrown at him, but Luther was more curious than caring. Surely the suggestion was nothing more than a wild guess, right?

Atalan starting slowly walking around the taller man as his purple aura flashed around him... he was gathering power to himself as well. He had shrugged off his energy blasts again... though it had seemed to cost him something this time to do so. He barely kept himself from laughing out loud as the man hesitantly asked if he had heard his stuff. He shrugged at the man, "I don't know. My cabbie from boat docks was playing some guy named Luther and couldn't stop talking about him. Is that you?" He punctuated the question with a casual energy blast towards the rapper's midsection, the crimson ray seemed to corkscrew as Atalan twisted his wrist when he shot it, trying to get past the man's defenses.. He paused and gathered more energy; his crimson aura flaring around him once more, while behind his back he began tracing runes. He called out, "If Luther is your name, it was actually better than most of the drivel called rap, I will admit. Kudos to you." Well, it seemed that the little man had heard of him before, and heard a couple of or at least a portion of some songs he had written before. The man's comment had cleared up Luther's doubt about the whole thing, and he even complimented the big man. Although, Luther did not know if it was a sarcastic comment or not. Either way, the rapper doesn't really have to care. He'd been a member of the music industry for a long time now, and even now he still isn't making a fortune. All singers, rappers, and deejays all have their ups and downs, their haters and fans, and things of the like. As a rapper himself, he knows he has many haters. But it doesn't matter. What truly matters is how many fans you have, since they're every live performer and producer's main source of income. So even if the man Luther currently fought wasn't a fan of his music, it would still be reassuring to know that his music is being heard in many places. At least his more, cybernetic modifications are also aiding him in his music. Two different attacks found their mark as the man spoke, first a regular bolt of energy that slammed into the big man's chest, causing him to stumble and take a cautious step backwards. Second, the same ice spears that the wizard's been using continuously throughout the entire fight. He crossed his arms, and most of the ice spikes hit his forearms, and immediately began to freeze his mechanical arms once more. Luther's aura burst into life, and the ice was ejected from his thick and tough arms. While pointing one of them directly towards the wizard, his aura began to die down, but if one looked carefully enough, you could tell that the energy from his crimson aura was simply moving towards his palm to create a deep fiery red orb of energy. "Yeah, Luther's the name. Now that I think about it, I never got your name."And with that, he released the energy gathered in his palm in the form of a beam, threatening to engulf near to anything in its path.

The man seems interested to hear that Atalan had indeed heard of him; it seemed he was the same Luther he had heard in the cab. "What a coincidence. My name? I am Baron Atalan of the Southern Demonlands." His opponent, Luther he now knew, took that moment to launch a fierce beam of ki directly towards him. He started to slide to the side and snapped his fingers, calling out, "Now Beauregard." His gangly limbed man servant loped over and leapt into the path of the beam, hanging for a moment before getting carried away by it and bouncing off into the trees somewhere. The beam managed to make its way past Beauregard and make contact with his shoulder long enough to draw a slight hiss of pain from the Baron. Atalan brushed at the small flame licking at his shirt sleeve indifferently and then wiped his hands off on the shirt; it was ruined at this point anyhow. He decided to change direaction and start pacing the other way, gathering his power together. He snapped off two simultaneous shots, one with each hand, the crimson bolts twisting through the air, one seeking Luther's head and the other his gut. Luther now knew the name of the man he currently fought; Atalan, a baron hailing from the Demonlands in the southern parts of the world. Wait, Demonlands? "Ah, so you are a demon."He had suspected that the man was far from human due to the long ears and shit, but Luther had been so enraged at the beginning of this confrontation that he never really considered the possibility. The race of anyone the rapper came across didn't matter much to him, rather, it was all about whether you're worth his time, or if you're not. Luther's burst of energy charged directly towards the baron, but suddenly, the weird looking green demon leapt in between the beam of crimson ki and his apparent master. The energy slammed into the poor servant, knocking him somewhere into the forest. Some energy spilled over, however, and slightly harmed the baron. Atalan seemed to casually dust himself off before launching his next attack, causing Luther to frown. The two energy blasts charged towards Luther, who once again, slapped both energy blasts away with both arms at the same time. They were thudded into the dirt to the big man's side, and Luther flared his aura once again. As the aura died down, Luther charged up yet another energy beam for the umpteenth time. He fired it carelessly, as the energy charged through the space of air between the two combatants. The rapper was now beginning to feel strained and tired, now under the effects of putting out too much effort. Damn... I need to end this soon.
