Fear, insecurities and sheer hatred fuels his anger. An addictive personality to booze, smokes, money, drugs, lust for women and especially the adrenaline ;rush of battle. Generally Romanus favors to be in the thick of battle over high leadership and lofty ideals. Romanus has no problem using dirty tricks often hidden under his trench coat to get an edge over enemies exploiting more honorable or naive fighters.
Instead of being a mindless ravager, Romanus liked to use a combination of relentless violence fueled by his anger and lust for battle and if need be dirty tricks to overwhelm an enemy. He is known for carrying a human police officer's blaster under his trench coat who he killed as well as an assortment of grenades and other devious devices. Being a Saiyan he looked down on other races as inferior even though he is a walking self contradiction by rebelling against the more honorable warrior spirit aura and pride. Having more of a street thug brawler mentality that serves him well in his urban environment where he often does dirty jobs for Saiyan clan factions on Earth often in criminal activity.
History:
Romanus grew up in a Saiyan enclave on Earth called Avado centered around the Saiyan large town of Avado City. This Saiyan enclave attempted to keep the Saiyan traditions preserved while adapting human style buildings and technology much in the same way they did on Planet Vegeta with Tuffle and other technologies.
As a young Saiyan embracing his heritage fully and showing ruthless promise as a Saiyan Warrior like those of their ancestors the rulers of the Avado Enclave the Avado Clan ruled by their leader Kaddish made the young Saiyan a member of its enforcers infiltrating other lands for the Avado Clan's operations.
The Avado Clan from its protective enclave spread criminal activity across Earth adapting Saiyan Warrior tradition with Earth mobster style organization giving birth to a Yakuza Saiyan styled criminal organization.
Romanus as an enforcer of the Avado Clan is more than thrilled to carry out their wishes as a hit-man, shaking down places for protection money, stealing and even from time to time slaying human law enforcement.
"Do you know how I got this police blaster?" He said shoving it in the face of a human shop keeper he was shaking down for the Avado Clan. "See, this human police women didn't like that I had just smashed the car of a loser who owed money to my client. She pulled her a gun and I didn't pull my punches.......dead human chicks don't need guns so I figured finders keepers."
While he is often ruthless outside of Avado Enclave he does show some kindess to some of his family and some friends around Avado City he often drinks with at the local taverns. But for him anybody outside of Avado is fair game to the Saiyan who has some resentment of why the Saiyans don't have their own planet and seem to be refugees or worse gradually diluting their Saiyan culture and blood becoming more human. Maybe its time for the Saiyans to ruled Earth? But that seems more of a fantasy as the even the Avado Clan seems petty and small time compared to their world conquering ancestors as well as being so few in number. Right that still feels like a fleeting dream he sometimes daydreams about when he is not training or doing dirty jobs.

Romanus was walking down the bustling Saiyan urban streets, there was much construction and unfinished buildings with Saiyan laborers all over the place carrying construction materials or working on unfinished structures. It was hard to escape the constant reminders of General Milkan's wish and as the young Saiyan walked past crowds of city dwellers with a large dumbstick of meat in one hand and slinging his Jack Sack of loot over his shoulder in the other he thought of the construction workers as chumps.
"Tch, what real Saiyan would ever want to do such crappy work?" Rom thought to himself taking a huge bite out of his breakfast as the morning wore on. Watching these tools labor away only reinforced his desire to work dirty jobs for the Avado clan on world tell he could gather up a solid battle team for Saiyan Army missions off world to bring in some real prestige and money.
And there it was, the best Saiyan pawn ship in town making the young Saiyan give a rare legitimate smile enjoying the retired Saiyan Warrior shop owner's company. Romanus threw the discarded drum stick bone on the ground and opened the door into the small store carrying is large bag of goods.
The old bald man recognized one of his favorite customers. "Eyy! If it isn't my favorite young Saiyan adventurer come to sell me more goods by the looks of it?" He said with a chuckle.
"You know I hate when you call me a Saiyan adventurer old man. How you been doing Beets?"Romanus said with friendly smirk dropping his bag of stolen goods.
The Saiyan Warrior knelt down taking out a seemingly random assortment of items that brought up memories of the struggle in a countryside house and Rom gathered everything and put it on the shop keepers table.
Beets looked at a the random items, there was a female Saiyan chest armor with a burned whole square in the middle of it, boots, gloves and silver wear that Romanus had stolen.
"I'm not gonna even bother asking how you got your hands on this....eh I am sure I can give ya something for this," he said picking up the damaged suit of armor.
"This is a rather older model, but if it can be patched up or modified it will be as good as new," Beets said with a smirk setting it down and picking up one of the gloves and stretching it examining the material.
Meanwhile Romanus started to look around the shop seeing some old model sets of random Saiyan armor next to under suits to match them.
"So how's been business since we arrived on this new world," Romanus said gazing back at Beets who was looking at the random pieces of silver wear.
"I was happy with my shop on Planet Vegeta, I had to start from scratch building a new pawn shop so that put me in the red,"he admitted.
"Well don't worry old man, you keep buying what I bring ya and keep getting some of those detonators, flash and smoke grenades I like and I am sure you will be in the green in no time," the young Saiyan said with a devious grin hinting he was interested in purchasing some more explosive weapons he could hind under his sleazy trench coat.
"Hmmm, yeah I may have some of what your looking for young one," he said walking up to the kid. "Here this is what I can give ya for the armor and silverware, it ain't much but its gonna take a lil work to fix up that armor with the hole in it," the pawn shop owner admitted giving Rom some metal Saiyan coins for the goods.
"Its fine I got paid as well for a job so if you have some of those fun toys I like I am down for buying Beets," Romanus said eager to see what he had.
"Alright lemme go see what I got," the large man said going to go get what the young Saiyan thug sought to buy from him, the man departed into a back room and then came back with some explosives in a box organized into sections by what type they were.
"Yeah now were talking!" Romanus said as his eyes sparkled looking at the devices of trickery and mayhem he so coveted. There was flash bangs, thermal detonators and smoke bombs the three main ones he always liked to buy having their own unique uses. "Alright let me get three of each" Rom said grabbing them and paying for them stocking up in his trench coat full of the various bombs.
"Hey, by the way Romanus you still interested in selling that Galactic Patrol Blaster you got?" He asked pointing at his side covered by his coat the old man knowing of what he kept concealed often from their long relationship.
"Oh the gun, nah it has sentimental value" Rom smirked, "its not everyday you get to kill a Galactic Patrolmen," the young Saiyan bragged getting ready to leave.
"You know Romanus, You have been a good customer to me for a while now so take my free advice kid. If you wanna make it as a Saiyan Warrior beyond this low class stuff, using bombs and that blaster wont cut it against higher level enemies. If you rely on them too much they may become more of a liability than an asset if ya know what I mean" he advised.
Rom nodded, "yeah I get what ya mean, but they have served me well in the past so I'll hang onto them and try to train more when I get around to it," the young Saiyan said as the left the shop.
Beets watched him leave remembering when he was his age and alot more in shape then he was now as a retired 2nd class warrior. As much of a survivor as Romanus was he really had no idea what real power was, "the kids these days always looking for short cuts and tricks to get an edge. He will learn one way or another I guess..." he muttered taking the box of explosives and putting them in the back away from the display area.
Romanus walked back out on the city streets of urban Sadala. "Man I had breakfast, got paid and have some nice fun extra toys" he thought to himself smirking patting his trench coat feeling the various grenades in his pockets. "I guess I should go see what Salsa is doing later," he thought to himself wanting to get with the cute Saiyaness he had meet a few years ago and had been seeing on and off.
And so thats what he would do as the idea came in his head pockets full of money, "I'MA TAKE SALSA ON A DATE AND GET SOME!!!" he shouted with excitement clinching his fists as bystanders looked at the young Saiyan Warrior with looks and stares.
"Cool story bro go get some somewhere else" a voice rang out from the crowd.
"What did you say to me? You wanna fight about it!? Rom shouted losing his temper shaking his fist at the crowd. "Who said that?"
