It's a good thing Will hasn't been asleep too long, if he had been asleep for a few hundred or a thousand years then he would have to worry about the geography being changed. Although he hopes in the decade he's been asleep that the Demon Kingdoms didn't expand their empires as he was sleeping, of course, he doesn't think that the rest of his Turtle School students or masters were weak but it's more paranoia than anything. Usually, when someone wakes up after long slumber things have gone bad so it's probably just the way he knows how stories like that go-getting to him. He focuses flying on the Nimbus to go around the Southern Demon Kingdoms to get back to Orange Star City. Hopefully, someone has been taking care of his house while is gone if someone hasn't bought his house from him while he was gone.
Meanwhile on the ground below
A lone Demon Clan Namekian is standing on the edge of the cliff looking over the horizon. Unsatisfied with the life he was given, not just being nothing more then a low ranking member of his father's army and one of his many "failed" attempts at making another heir to his throne if he were to pass, but jealous of the cozy lives of those who live in the cities. If it wasn't for the Orange Star Alliance protecting the east he would go to East City and take it over on his own, but too many powerful Martial Artists stand in his way. If only there was a way he could have something to coerce them to give him what he desires that could he also share with the rest of his clan so that he can get his father's blessing.
As he looks in the sky he sees something that might be his answer, what appears to be a small child in the gi of his enemy riding a cloud. Of course, that's how he'll do it, such a fiendish way that only a true demon could come up with. He'll capture that student and use him as a hostage and convince the Turtle School that he'll let him go and let him live unless they would give in to his demands and give them East City as a part of their territory. He charges up his energy through his arms and into his hand as he releases a large beam of Ki towards the cloud. Will took a bit too long to notice that an attack was heading to him as his cloud was blown up by it as he careens towards the ground.
Times like this wish he learned or copied the Crane School's flight technique. Luckily though he is a cat so he uses his natural abilities to correct his descent and land on his feet on a tree branch, as he perfectly sticks the landing it seems he landed with too much force not to mention from falling from such a high height and gained so much velocity. As the branch begins to break under him as he falls and ends up falling and crashing through more branches. Despite that, he still manages to stick the landing once more on the ground. As he was relaxed for a moment the rest of the branches then begin to fall on Will with all of them breaking on his head. That was when Will begins to hear a burst of ominous laughter in the forest surrounding him, he gets out his staff as he scans his surroundings to see where the laughter was coming from.
An extremely long arm extended from above which Will dodged to look up to see a Demon Namekian looking down from a tree.
"So, did you really think you can fly so close to our territory without running into a Demon?" the horned Namekian asked.
"I was hoping not to run into any, but I didn't expect one to blow up my ride," Will responded.
"Hmph, as expected from a child, you should be proud you have the honor of being used a hostage that would help gain me and the Demon Clan more glory!" gloated the Namekian.
"First of all I'm not a child I'm 101 years old, I know it sounds like a bad anime cliche but I assure you that I am. It's hard to tell with animals anyway. Even then if you think you can use a master such as myself as leverage I assure you I won't be taken in with ease. So whatever you plan on using to try to defeat me just get it over with so I can beat you and move on okay?"
Will's statement sent the demon into a fit of laughter. The sheer absurdity of it all, it was enough to put him into tears.
"First you spout nonsense of being over 100 years old then you expect me to believe that you're actually a master? I can't believe they even let someone as ridiculous as you into the Turtle School. At least take this seriously instead of claiming such a ridiculous bluff." the demon said.
"It's true though haven't you ever heard of Will O. Wisp?! The Feline Turtle Master, the Second Cat Sage, any of those titles ringing a bell?"
Will asks.
"I never have heard of such a master." the demon responded.
Will stood silent for a minute, unsure how to respond until the only thing he could say was
"How old are you?"
Will stood silent for a minute, unsure how to respond until the only thing he could say was
"How old are you?"
"I have hatched about four years ago why do you ask?" the muscular Demon Namekian said.
And this guy had the gall to say he looked like a kid and apparently doesn't know the meaning of the word irony either.
"Don't look at me like that! Once I capture you and send the message then everyone will know the name Fiddle!" the Namekian whose name is apparently Fiddle declares.
Oh, of course, he had an instrument name, but at this point, Will is unsure whether Demon King Piccolo reused names he already used before, or if he is going to be really reaching for instrument names when he runs out of good ones. He's still expecting to meet one named after Cowbell one day. Fiddle extends his arms as they drop to the ground as he slings them up and them launches them forward like snakes lunging towards Will. Will dodges each and every lunge that comes toward him. His speed catching Fiddle off guard and surprising him.
Will then steps back from one of the extended arms before he notices that the hand opens up and a bright light shines from it before it releases and an explosive wave of energy that blows up in his face. Fiddle grins as the smoke clears to reveal...nothing? No corpse, no remains, he completely vaporized him. Fiddle looks in shock as he looked at his hands to see what he did. Has he underestimated his own strength, should he have held back, did he waste the opportunity that was given to him?
As Fiddle ponders what happens he feels a furry tap on his shoulder. No, it can't be, he thought. He turned and sure enough the cat was still alive who then whacks him in his face with his staff. Sending him reeling backward and holding his bruised face.
"I guess not only have you not heard of irony you don't know what an After Image is either, did you really just see the first small person with a Turtle-Style Gi, thinking you could beat and capture them alive, then demand the Turtle School give you something in return as if they would listen to your demands. Well, I guess your name suits you because you'll always be nothing more than a second fiddle."
Will said with a smirk on his face.
First, he doesn't take me seriously and says some nonsense of being an elderly master, then he hits me in the face and says my plan sucks, and now he used a pun on my name to taunt me?! That's it, I don't care anymore, I'll send a message to the Turtle School with this guy's head on a stick! Fiddle thought.
Fiddle powers up to his full strength and then rips off a tree branch which then sharpens with his teeth. He then uses the makeshift spear and begins to attempt to skewer Will. Of course, Will manages to dodge each and every stab at him but that doesn't stop Fiddle from trying. Will then uses one of his legs to trip Fiddle up and punches him in the gut with a powerful uppercut sending up in the air. Fiddle then dives downward toward Will with his claws out ready to attack some more, till he notices that Will props his wooden spear up.
"Hey, you dropped this," Will says nonchalantly.
The Namekian tries to prevent himself from falling towards the spear but ends only being stabbed in the torso rather than the head. As Will sees the gruesome display he cringes at the sight. He didn't even mean to skewer him, he was just trying to mess with him and assumed that the Demon would move out of the way. He tries to swing the corpse off of the stick, but it doesn't come off so he props the spear upon a rock as he continues his journey back home this time on foot. He needs the exercise anyway after spending too much of his time sleeping and he can always get another Flying Nimbus.
However, as Will has already been long gone, Fiddle's fingers begin to twitch as his eyes open up as he gasps in pain. Fiddle grabs onto the spear and pushes himself off as he lands on the ground. A large gaping hole in his torso that's slowly regenerating, thankfully that spear missed all of his vital organs. He then notices that the cat he was fighting is gone, one day, he'll find him again and next time he'll be ready.
