Carefully sculpted trees in a highly manicured park. A slice of green in a concrete jungle. Just enough to give the spreadsheet miners and minimum wagers of West City the illusion of natural living… but not enough to reduce the efficiency of their work, of course. For most people, this remained their consistent life. As cars zoomed through streets, when they weren’t tightly packed to a crawl, and pedestrians put foot to pavement to and from work it was rare for anything to happen… but when it did, it shook the lackadaisical malaise down to the very firmament.
Trees shook as the air filled with birds, mostly pidgeons and the occasional crow, as a sudden crackle of energy slammed into the well kept grass of the public park. The source became all too obvious as a well-built figure rushed into the park with a gleaming grin on her face as the energy lashed around her feet. Raven black hair that spiked at the edges and bitingly black eyes, the woman was keen to fight and this was overly clear as she lured her opponent further in… a female voice booming behind her, rich and deep but clearly feminine. “Tubera! Get yer ass back here!” Another crackle of energy lashed out with all the sonic boom of a whip. The fleeing Saiyan, as that is what she is, lashed back with her own retort… finally identifying both actors. “Come ‘ere and make me, Tayta!” She pulled a cocky pose, fists firmly on her waist and chest pushed high.
Tayta gave the woman no time to relish in her heroic posturing however, the solid /SMACK/ echoed through the park once more as she drove her fist directly up against the other woman’s chin, a strike that had her opponent flung into the air… spinning from the impact only to level out into a float. “You know it was mine!” responded Tayta, an equally spitting image of a Saiyan… and quite clearly, Tubera’s sister. Tubera could only laugh as she turned and ran (or rather, flew…) once more, shouting out as various pedestrians watched in horror at the energy blasts and punches being flung around by the flying women. “Y’should’ve put your name on it then!”
As one sister fled, the other was quick to follow… clearly fuming. “It…” Pout. “Was…” Fists clenched… “An ice-cream!” And thus, the two sisters proceeded to squabble (violently) over an ice-cream, apparently. Tubera seemed to be more amused than upset, Tayta was… almost violently mad as she chased after Tubera… watched her dash down an alley, one she was quick to follow with thunderous footfalls.
What she wasn’t expecting, was Tubera to suddenly slam an energy blast into her side as she turned a blind corner… it hit her hard, and while the two were used to playing rough this was something of a surprise. There was a palpable, almost comedic, hesitation of reaction… before she was promptly flung entirely through a wall by the blow. By the time the dust settled, Tubera had followed the gloat… which started a tornado of chaos within the building they’d just crashed into.
The fourth wall thoroughly removed, the two Saiyan’s began to scramble and fight in the room that was at one point likely only barely lit… but now unfortunately had an entirely new window. The room was tidily kept but very clearly personal… a place of rest and business boiled into one, a bedroom and a workshop. The owner seemed highly focused on not having her work ruined by the whirlwind of destruction currently whipping through it, as the sound of fists colliding and energy blasts whipped around… a cacophony of scrambling and combat, with the occasional ‘sizzle’ of paper.
Fists flew wildly, feet flung around and energy blasts zipped through the air only to collide messily with the ground, sometimes merely searing it… sometimes spitting up dust and rubble into the air as great big holes were ripped into the floor. And yet somehow, the owner of the room remained zipping around… bending down just as an energy blast missed its target and whipped above her… barely stepping back with papers in hand as a Saiyan foot whizzed past… lodged on a wall and leapt back towards her opponent.
The sound of sirens filled the air, as the relevant authorities were notified… the two Saiyans seemed too engaged in their sisterly squabble for a moment to realise, before their fists collided and they stopped… looking around in surprise for a moment. Tayta then promptly drove her knee into Tubera’s chest, sending her hurtling out of the wall they’d originally came from. The two went down the alley and then… were gone.
The occupant of the room panted heavily as she checked around the room… only to eventually turn back to the mechanical object she’d been working on prior. It was in seven distinct pieces. She plucked the nearest one up and gave a quiet sigh, looked up, stared into space with a fragment of her work in hand. Emerald green eyes betrayed that she was, in as few words as possible.. ‘thoroughly done with this’.
“I guess I need to find somewhere new to stay.” came the understatement of the year, before she thumped back onto the floor, dust billowing into the air.
