Light the Night | 1 Star Mission (2000 Words Requirement) - The people of a small, poor village in the Southlands have gathered together to celebrate the New Year's Eve. Kids, adults and old-timers alike are staying up late. Unlike the big city slickers with their fancy parties, these humble folk unfortunately don't have much in the ways of making the night festive. Sure, they have saved nice food for the occasion. There is also song and dance accompanied by banjos. However, something is still missing, something to make the night... Pop. And this is where you, dear traveler, come in... How about giving them a lightshow to remember with ki blasts, magic or just good, old-fashioned explosives?

Alone on a Silent Night? Pathetic | 1 Star Mission (2000 Words Requirement) - Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Because the residents are off on vacation, but no good hoodlums have gotten this information. They pick up their tools and get ready for theft, making sure that there would be nothing left. Though it seems you notice this, while on a walk feeling Holiday bliss. It seems now is the time to teach these burglars they should've thought twice, about being naughty this Christmas instead of being nice. Saibamen | 2 Star Mission (4000 Words Requirement) - What seemed to be a harmless plant gift for Christmas turned out to be a Saibamen bud. As one becomes many after drinking enough water the various Saibamen begin to wreak havoc across town. Messing with machinery, attacking citizens, and just being unpleasant in general. You are called to go to this one peaceful small town to break up this little invasion. Just make sure you don't get them wet. Santa Mechaclaws | 3 Star Mission (6000 Words Requirement) - An Android Santa that was meant to be used for merriment and making children happy goes haywire. Starting to see all of humanity as naughty and shooting coal at everyone they see. It's time for this impostor to be put on the naughty list. Though you better watch out, you better watch out, you better watch out, you better watch out, he's making a list, he's gonna find out, he's gonna find out, HE'S GONNA FIND OUT.
Absolutely Abominable | 4 Star Mission (8000 Words Requirement) - It seems in the mountains up north word spreads of a large lumbering beast. The Yeti, the abominable snowman, they go by many names. Are they friendly reclusive creatures, or vicious beasts? Well that's up to you to find out as it seems there is a reward for whoever can get proof of this creature and finally put the legend to rest. Just be careful while going up those mountains as the air can get pretty thin. There may be a blizzard coming soon as well.

Fun/Lighthearted Ice Sculpturversery | 1 Star Mission (2000 Word Requirement) - Up and coming is the anniversary of Oolong City's ice sculpture contest. In celebration of it a purely friendly event is being held with some competitive undertones. Whatever lengths you'd go to in order to create the penultimate ice sculpture is entirely up to you! It is the chance to practice your skills, and achieve mastery for the next ice sculpture contest. The sky is the limit (literally, it's written in the rules)! Rewards: 50,000 Zeni
Mistletoe! | 3 Star Mission (6000 Word Requirement) - It is that time of year again, and once more Christmas themed movies are all of the craze. One of those movies coming out is a romantic comedy titled Mistletoe following the love story of an animated snowman and a woman who's trying to hold onto the creativity and imagination she had as a child. The company responsible for production has been outsourcing production staff for the project, and you're one of their new hires should you take the job. Work as either a cameraman/woman, director, actor (perhaps even as an extra), or if you're tech savvy perhaps after effects involving sound and visuals. Do this with or without your friends, after all, Mistletoe will be but the first of a long series of Christmas classics. Rewards: 150,000 Zeni, 1 Rank of Favours (grants x10 EP as Zeni reward on a mission, basically a weaker but more accessible Connections) _____________________________
Jurassic Mountain | 4 Star Mission (8000 Word Requirement) - Heavy snowfall landed this year, but hit worst of all were rural mountains found in the corners of the world. That is normally fine- the people who live there are typically accustomed to the harsh conditions, but this year is an exception. The extremely cold temperatures have brought forth a wave of dormant monsters that have an internal temperature too high to support being on the surface. This shocking localized drop in climate has allowed them to come up. Massive worms, prehistoric mighty dinosaurs, even nasty underground insects. The World Government has evacuated most people, but some may still be trapped or in hiding. Go there and rescue people by getting them out or dealing with the monsters. Rewards: A figurine of your character battling monsters, 1 rank of Celebrity _____________________________
Easter? Wait, no, IMPOSTERS! | 2 Star Mission (4000 Word Requirement) - A certain town has reported that they're celebrating Christmas, but all of the footage shows festive bunnies, Easter egg hunts and other common items associated with the holiday. Technically that's all fine and good, but it's just slightly strange enough that you've been contracted by a local security office to investigate what and why- apparently they say there's been footage of actual large rabbits hopping around the town. Get to the bottom of this curse... Or blessing? Restore order to the world! Rewards: A figurine of your character playing wack-a-mole with evil Easter bunnies, 100,000 Zeni.
The Bunny that's stealing Christmas | 5 Star Mission (10000 Word Requirement, Requires completion of 'Easter? Wait, no, IMPOSTERS!') - After the events of your investigations into the strange town, your findings have allowed the security agency or their affiliates to uncover more hidden plots to steal Christmas spirit. It sounds hilarious at a glance, but the truth of the matter couldn't be more serious. Bunny Beastmen have set up an underground network deep below the Earth and have implemented technology that saps peoples spirit energy. While most martial artists will barely feel this strain, the everyday person is finding themselves growing fatigued and weak. Put to an end this desperate plot to get what their previous plans failed at. Rewards: A signed copy of Dr. Gooses how the rabbits stole Christmas, 150,000 Zeni.
Serious The Red Ribbon Rebellion | 3 Star Mission (6000 Word Requirement) - A division of the Red Ribbon Remnants have settled down in the cold wastes of the Winter, and they're here to stay. During a time where people just want to settle down and celebrate the year passed and the year to come, they have taken to terrorizing people like they did centuries ago. The self titled Sergeant Olive is the primarily culprit for this recent spree of attacks, and their firepower is nothing to scoff at. The division has come across a handful of tanks and dozens of fully armed soldiers. The World Government is contracting you to handle this quickly and efficiently- or maybe you've just stumbled across it by chance. Regardless, it's gone unchecked due to the front-line with Piccolo Daimao, so it's your responsibility now. Rewards: Mushroom of Might, 50,000 Zeni.
The Red Ribbon Rebellion 2 | 4 Star Mission (8000 Word Requirement) - After the defeat or resolution regarding Sergeant Olive and his battalion, reports have come in of a serious military response from the seemingly faded military group of the past. Sergeant Turquoise has come out and declared he to be better than his defeated comrade in arms, and he's proving it. Further terror is being spread- while you've saved many, there are many more yet to save. However Sergeant Turquoise isn't just on a conquest to take land and capture the people within it, he has his eyes set on gathering Dragon Ball Shards for whatever nefarious military research projects his scientists are working on. Put a stop to it, or Earth could be seeing weapons of mass destruction soon. Rewards: 100,000 Zeni, a level 1 stronghold with barracks in a location of your choosing (must be in a snowy area ie. mountains, tundra, north)
The Red Ribbon Roots | 6 Star Mission (12000 Word Requirement) - Presumably you've put a stop to Sergeant Turquoise and his nefarious plots. Though a Sergeant answers to superiors, and enough shaking of the hierarchy has been done to expose a head of the hydra. A certain man going by the rank and name of Colonel Vanta. Unlike the others, Vanta has been on The World Governments radar for a while as a potential threat, but it's only now that he's sprung into action. Claiming to be from the true Red Ribbon Army, fear has been roused from the people and you need to get to the bottom of it. Once more come the guns, tanks, artillery and military terror that is the operating norm for the Red Ribbon Army. The twist this time is that Colonel Vanta is distinguished by his love for niche technology. Drillbots, robots, more robots, but perhaps most and terrifying among his mighty technology is the modified capsule tech he's been using to imprison people of all backgrounds and strengths. Be careful and on your feet, while the Red Ribbon Army hits hard, Colonel Vanta might just strike when one least expects it. Rewards: 200,000 Zeni, RedCapsuleBase v0.7 (a rank 1 stronghold that can be deployed, used, and moved again and again. The rules of 2 MP per month still apply, and the stronghold has a maximum rank of 3 and cannot ever acquire 'Greater Lands' as an add-on. If either of these limitations are exceeded, the Stronghold becomes static and cannot be picked up or moved again and behaves like any other.)
Red Ribbon Realization 7 Star Mission (14000 Word Requirement) - Finally, the truth of what is going on. As it turns out, whether or not this military cell is a genuine Red Ribbon revival or mere imposters is up for debate, but the source of their power isn't. An ancient artifact resembling a vibrant green pelt has been apparently identified by a bystander during a Red Ribbon convoy moving through the Southern Lands. It certainly explains the odd tuft of green fur you've seen here and there, is that why their firepower is so devastating? Regardless, the one responsible for safekeeping this item was Commander Rose, an accomplished member of the organization. Whether or not he is still in possession of this artifact is up for debate, but it is apparent that he has the answers. Thin out his forces to keep people safe, and seize their power so they can no longer rebuild as strongly as they had prior. Rewards: 1 Hunt Ticket (only way to hunt for the lost artifact: 'Ear of Ba', allows challenging if someone else possesses it.) or 1 Ba Fluff (provides +5 Strength and +5 Resilience, special equipable accessory that uses the 'artifact' slot until a proper artifact is equipped). 400,000 Zeni. _______________________
Momentum Momentum | 1 Star Mission (2000 Words Requirement) - The Momentum Corporation is sponsoring a special Christmas event across the world with levels of zeni that seem positively criminal due to how much there is! The concept behind the event is to stimulate martial artist and normal civilian engagement, introducing outcast warriors to the workings and nuances of the everyday world. Perhaps it's good music, television, dayjobs, but there's zeni in it for yoooou. And what martial artists doesn't want to dump their pockets out to challenge the Burrito Bass's food stock? Rewards: 250,000 Zeni.

Jingle Bells, Pilaf Smells | 1-Star Mission (2,000 WC Requirement) Pilaf Land is holding its annual Christmas festivities. Unfortunately, there appears to have been some confusion and somebody ordered an excess amount of pumpkins - which should have been for Halloween and Thanksgiving - and nobody got rid of them. It is because of this blunder that the entire park just smells awful - a weird mix of rot and pumpkin spice. Will you do them a favor and help dispose of all the rotting pumpkins?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Deck the Halls | 2 Star Mission (4,000 WC Requirement) Pilaf Land is a huge place. In fact there’s many distinct areas in Pilaf Land. Each of these areas is being decorated in a unique way to celebrate Christmas. Unfortunately, with how big the park is, there is nowhere near enough staff to decorate every single area. Get some friends and help with decorating; put up trees, throw up garlands, put up lights, things like that.

The Copyright Infringement Claus | 4-Star Mission (8,000 WC Requirement) Everyone knows Santa. Or, at least, they know the name. They know the story - or the story that the commercials, the movies, the toy lines, and the advertisers always spout off to get kids to believe in a jolly bearded fat man with a love of milk and cookies. But, what if Santa as you know it, isn’t Santa? You’re at home, or at least in your Stronghold, when you hear something outside. Someone’s out on the roof! An intruder? You go check it out. You scare whoever it is up there and they fall off the roof. They hit the ground. Hard. Well, you apparently killed Santa… But wait, what’s this? You turn away from the body for three seconds and turn back and he’s gone; or at least the actual body is. All that is left is a suit, Santa’s red suit. You go to pick it up; it latches onto you, as if it were alive. Because Santa isn’t a man. Well, he is, but not really. Santa is a suit, a sentient suit that every year picks some random schmoe and latches onto them, adheres to their body, becomes impossible to take off. But, it speaks to them telepathically. It says they have been chosen to spread joy around the world and deliver all the gifts. The suit gives the wearer a number of magic gifts; the gifts vary depending on the person. Use them well.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
You Better Not Shout, You Better Not Cry | 3 Star Mission (6,000 WC Requirement) The Santa Suit has chosen its wearer. But, that leaves one more suit; it’s polar opposite - no pun intended. Santa is the individual beloved by all. But, there is another; one that is not loved, but feared. His name is Krampus, and he punishes the wicked as opposed to rewarding the good. He too is not a man but a sentient suit, or more like a pelt; tattered and old and looking less like the bright red and white suit Santa wears and more like a bastardization of that suit. It’s bright red is instead blood red, faded, torn in places but somehow still intact. It finds the person with the darkest heart around and forces them to wear the suit then makes them go on a rampage, punishing anyone it deems wicked. You can try to fight these urges, if the suit chooses you, or you can have fun with it; the suit’s idea of wickedness is very loose. Hell you could even have it turn on your enemies if you so desired. (Note: This mission can be treated as a battle between the Santa Suit Clad individual - if they performed the previous mission - and the Krampus Suit individual. It would be treated more like a spar than life or death battle.)

All the Holiday Cheer | 2-Star Mission (4,000 WC Requirement) A massive contest has begun. The company Sheer Cheer, a small company owned by a pair of siblings who claim to be the descendents of a man who called himself Christopher Kringle, has decided to throw this competition. It is a cooking and baking competition. Anyone and everyone can join, regardless of cooking ability. All that matters is that they try and that the food is made with love. A panel of judges of their peers will be built through volunteers. Find a partner (or multiple partners) to be either contestants or judges and whip up a tasty Christmas meal for your judges. Make sure to be as deliciously descriptive and creative as possible for extra points from the judges.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Silent Night | 6-Star Mission (12,000 WC Requirement) Silence had spread across the land. It started with one case, one man who lost the ability to speak, and then from there it spread. Within hours whole cities had gone quiet. No one can speak. They open their mouths but no words come out; they can’t speak, laugh, cry, scream, or vocalize in any way. So, people resorted to writing on dry erase boards to communicate their thoughts. What’s happening? There’s rumors that this all started after a new factory opened up in the middle of the city; surrounded by tall walls and patrolled by strange armed guards, clad in Nutcracker uniforms, with coal black and expressionless eyes. Find your friends, see if they’re ok, then go investigate that factory.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Along Came a Clatter | 7-Star Mission (14,000 WC) With the factory investigated and the source of the Silence found and dealt with, something else is happening; the Nutcracker guards that were protecting the place have returned, come back in droves, an army of them. On top of that, they keep appearing, more and more of them. In fact, this factory had been a Toy Factory, it had been making Nutcracker soldiers and placing them all over the city, in every city, and now they’re all waking up and attacking everyone in sight. Their firepower is quite formidable and they are managing to take out police forces and armies with relative ease. Stop this Christmas coup! Bonus Reward: Nutcracker Rifle (Weapon. An antique looking rifle that strangely works similar to the Blaster Carbine. Additionally, if activated after using FOCUS ENERGY, you either get an extra 10 Accuracy to all your Basic Energy Attacks this turn on top of what is given from Focus Energy OR whenever a Basic Energy is used in a turn you gain an additional alt-will Energy Blast. Can only be activated twice per battle.)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Let It Snow | 2 Star Mission (4,000 WC Requirement) It’s snowing! A lot. Like a whole lot. It was actually very pretty at first, watching the snowflakes come down, but then it started to get dangerous. The snow began to pile up quickly. Every major city is being hit with powerful blizzards. People are being trapped in their homes, in their cars. Try to help as many people as you can.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Winter Horror Land | 3 Star Mission (6,000 WC Requirement) The storms keep coming. The snow keeps falling. The news reports notice that the weather is coming from one location, the epicenter of all of the blizzards appears to be a small area of uninhabited land in the Central Lands. The storms are radiating outward from there. Take some friends to investigate; when you do, you’ll find as soon as you arrive that the snow appears to be taking on a life of its own. Massive snowmen emerge from the ground around you; nine feet tall, ten feet tall, some even twelve feet tall, with large sharp icicle teeth. They fire beams of freezing ice from their mouths. On top of that, they appear to be protecting some kind of cavern. Get rid of them.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
In the Hall of the Ice King | 6 Star Mission (12,000 WC Requirement) You managed to best the snowmen. But the snow keeps falling. You take shelter in the cavern and follow it deep inside. Once you go rather deep into the cavern, you find a massive cavernous chamber and within the chamber is an immense castle made out of glistening ice. The ice does not appear to melt even when near open flames and it glistens like diamonds. Entering the castle, you find it is beautiful and begin to explore. Though you quickly realize this place is not as empty as it appears. You are in the home of the Ice King and he doesn't like trespassers. Be weary, his power is quite formidable. He is the source of the blizzards. Stop him. If you fail, the Earth will fall into a new Ice Age.

Until the Last Snowball Falls | 1 Star Mission (2000 Word Requirement) – As the snow piles up at your feet, so does the great equaliser – the weapon any child knows how to wield. They’ve spent all year plotting and planning for this nefarious plan, and now the playgrounds have all gone silent as their machinations have gone into motion. As their parents wait anxiously, they are met with an ultimatum – Christmas will come early this year, or else the full extent of their snowball arsenal will be brought to bear. Faced with their supposedly impenetrable fortress, muster your courage and bring your thickest mittens, and bring about the last stand of Fort Toy.
Missile, TOW | 2 Star Mission (4000 Word Requirement) – In an exceptionally rare event, ISLET has requested some public assistance. A team of theirs is hunkered down in the snow of the Northern Lands, hiding deep undercover as they are boxed in by Pilaf’s troops. While they wouldn’t usually be an issue, ISLET’s footmen’s technology can’t quite compare to the heavy armour of the prototype tank Pilaf has driven up there. So, they’re in need of a special gift this Christmas… it’ll be going down a tube and into a (soon-to-be) pile of ashes, but they don’t have a chimney in mind. Deliver the ordinance, and try not to end up on Pilafland’s naughty list.
All I Want for Winter | 3 Star Mission (6000 Word Requirement) – Whether tempted by a prize or threatened with a punishment, you’ve ended up under the orders of powerful clan representative from the Pig Demon Duchies. However, they aren’t expecting you to hide a body or broker a deal. Instead, they just want a gift for their child… one of the limited edition toys of the season, of course, which will be nearly impossible to get your hands on. And, if that weren’t enough, one of their rivals has the exact same gift plans. Are katanas or customer service more threatening?
Cool Under Pressure | 4 Star Mission (8000 Word Requirement) – A holiday staple – a log cabin getaway in the Northern Lands more pleasant peaks. But, after an immense avalanche, you and your unlikely (or likely?) comrade are now trapped in a festive cabin under a mile of snow. Rescue is on its way, but it could take days – and trying to force your way out from underneath will just make the whole snowdrift collapse in on the cabin. So, you will just have to get along and entertain yourself until then… there’s no lack of eggnog, sure, but sanity may end up scarce.
Never-Neverland | 5 Star Mission (10000 Word Requirement) – Though the land is vast, the Southern Islands in particular stretch even further, and is home to all kinds of strange climates and places. If you go south, far south, and south some more, you can find a horrible land that some say is down underneath the planet itself. A desolate place where it is sunniest in the Winter, and the only water is blood and beer. Stranded there after your boat headed too far south (or was it north?), you’ll need to find the last speck of water in deserts harsher than even the Southern Lands, as well as survive with the strange and venomous animals of the land – should be no worries, mate.
Cold War | 6 Star Mission (12000 Word Requirement) – As the end of the year approaches, there are many interregional conferences going on; and such powers can never afford a day off. After a tip-off that Pilaf and Capsule Corp both have nefarious plans for their next event, the World Government needs a covert operative to join the annual World Christmas Party in disguise and outfox these spies before they cause an interregional incident. Enjoy the chance to mix with the political movers-and-shakers of the lands, but remember – you’re not on the guest list, either.
Cold Day in HFIL | 7 Star Mission (14000 Word Requirement) – The Winter and its holiday season are celebrated by those in the present, so why not those below and beyond? Courtesy of a dreadful ritual’s handiwork, or just utter misuse of Teleportation or Instant Transmission, the world has been given a taste of the next life – the Freezing Tundra of HFIL, that is. With Enma on holiday for the season, the residents of the next life have rebelled and turned the freezing machine used to punish them upon the world; refusing to stand down… until they are given their rightful gifts. Read through the naughty list, and maybe warm up some of the darkest hearts along the way.
