Misaki sat back with a look of bliss as she looked up to the sky, happy to watch the clouds flit by. The Tea she'd brought had sat well within the thermos she'd prepared, and Coral was busy with her own hot chocolate. The two were arrayed on a picnic blanket and looking up to the skies above, bundled in all the winter clothing they could find.
"So, miss Pov'rel, what brings us all the way out here? You mentioned this was a special occasion. You surely weren't trying to say something, were you?" Misaki teased.
Coral turned as red as a tomato at the implication, jumping a few feet in the air from a cross-legged position as she rapidly picked up and put down every single thing in the picnic basket. "n-no i-i M-mean -I-I-I-I-It's n-n-not l-l-l-like th-th-th-that." The girl stammered.
Misaki giggled happily at seeing her friend turn so red. the two were arrayed outside, on a small hill just far enough away from Oolong city that it was hidden by the orange autumn forest around them. The golden sun fell in the distance as Misaki studied Coral's expression.
To her surprise, the girl was quick to recover, her stammer giving way to an awkward laugh.
"okay, well, being fair, there is a reason I asked you out here." She'll admit.
"Is it something I shouldn't know?"
Coral thought about it for a moment, looking back to Misaki and then, back to the sky.
"Back where I come from, my, uhm, home country..." Coral started to say, before trailing off, the pinkette sprawling in an oddly relaxed pose as she closed her eyes.
"There's a girl. A very pretty girl. Her hair is as gold as a dandelion, her eyes sparkle like amber, and her smile could melt ice." Coral would add. "and... once upon a time, I got to come out to a hill just like this one, put down an old blanket, and enjoy bad food and worse jokes with her." the pinkette mentioned.
"I thought a princess would only get the best."
"Hey, Heiress!... wait, no, what am I doing?! Princess is great, yes, call me princess Coral please!"
Misaki gave a grin to Coral that in no uncertain terms made it clear she was not going to do that.
Coral groaned, sprawling out on her belly across the picnic blanket.
"...I miss her." The Pov'rel Heiress finally said, after a moment.
Misaki didn't have an answer to a statement like that, and opted for a little comforting pat on the top of the princesses noggin.
