Kessho-ko Estate
An abandoned lake-side mansion deep in the forests in the shadow of Oolong City. It's placed in the center of a grove of black cherry blossom trees that look dead and rotted for most of the year. The mansion itself was probably beautiful at one time, but decades or centuries of neglect have most of it's windows and sliding doors broken down and it's rooms exposed to the elements. Only one or two rooms are still salvagable and there is a center courtyard in which a small, gnarled tree grows.

Description Long ago, a young lord lived with his doting mother. A sickly child, he had been ill nearly everyday from birth and was rarely let outside the estate grounds. Despite this, it was said he loved to walk by the crystal-clear lake and tell his mother of his future. Fate was not so kind to the young lord, and one day an accident befell him and he drowned in the lake he loved so. The distraught mother spent the rest of her days convinced the little lord had been murdered and one day decided to get revenge against those she thought had taken her only light from the world. Donning a mask to hide her true intentions, she killed the entire househould, down to the maids and butlers, for none could prove their innocence to her. After her killing spree, it's said she curled up in the courtyard in grief. There she cried for years and years, her body slowly transforming into a rotten and gnarled tree that still sits there today, giving birth to twisted mockeries of her little lord that still carry out their mother's madness.
