People are constantly under oppression and some are even dying of hunger; something she faced as a child and everyone ignored her plight until she began to train as an underling to Duke Glacier. In order to unite everyone she believes a new world order should take place and as long as she is in power she will be generous to her followers while destroying those who oppose her with zeni.

Glacier brought her along to defend the walls giving her real world experience and eventually sent her out on patrols alone. Every success meant she was able to enjoy a feast brought on by the villagers, other days she had to survive off of the wilderness as she was not being paid during her training, and at the age of 20 she set off on her own to earn her own title as duchess among the ranks of the Pig Demon Duchies. After ten years she was able to achieve her goal and has been appointed to Truffle Village where the people grow exotic mushrooms that are well sought after by elite society; the previous Duke had grown old and in order to take over his position she dueled him and her blade cut through his leg severing an artery and caused a heart attack from the amount of blood he lost from the wound.

RP Sample: Melody is the daughter of two musicians in which Orchestra village is founded on. However, music meant everything for her parents who wanted fame and caring for a child was distracting them from their goals so they abandoned her and left for the city in pursuit of their dreams. Under the care of her grandfather she was raised from an infant until the age of five years old when her much elder grandparent passed away from natural causes. While the local church provided alms to the elderly, sick, and orphaned Duke Gracier closed it down shortly after Melody’s grandfather was cremated. The church was the largest building in town as it was often used for performances by the villagers and all the funding that kept it operational was used to pay the Duke and was also turned into his residence.
For days Melody was at a loss on how to survive, she knew nothing besides the church to sustain her livelihood and asking for help from her neighbors forced them to shutter their doors. On the brink of dying from starvation she ended up on the steps of the church, Glacier had just returned from fighting monsters at the gates, and while he rarely took pity on anyone he decided to throw a rice ball on Melody’s face which was given to him by a local villager. The village residents promised a feast later that evening as thanks and did not want to spoil his appetite.
“You can either cry or do something about it.” Glacier remarked, he wore refined blue clothes, white slicked back hair, and a thick well-groomed white beard. On his back was a bastard sword that was equally as long as he stood tall.
Melody stuffed her face, fighting back tears, as rice and dirt was shoved into her mouth. She could hardly chew and was swallowing large gulps of the rice ball that was much bigger than her mouth could hold. Half way choking she managed to swallow it all, feeling suddenly full, with the exception that she winced as she felt the clump of rice slide down slowly followed by a pain on her chest.
“I will do whatever it takes…and do something about it.” Melody wiped the tears off her face as she stood on her feet, half expecting Duke Glacier to accept her as a slave at a mere five years old.
“Training begins now.” Glacier pulled out his bastard sword and sliced a branch off a nearby tree. From it he snapped off a twig with his bare hands that was around the length of Melody’s child arm-span. “This is your training sword.”
Glacier sliced the twig a few times against his blade to remove the leaves and stems to render it smooth. The branch remained in which he also smoothed over before sheathing his sword on a thick dinosaur leather belt that held it by the rain guard and pommel.
Melody took the twig, confused by what it all meant, but at the same time was relieved that she was not being made to clean anything in exchange for food or money; it was not clear at this point by what he meant.
Glacier tapped the tip of her twig with the branch to draw her close attention, then used the branch to move her feet across the ground to keep them aligned with her hips evening her stance, he turned her shoulder so that she leaned slightly in the direction of the twig in her right hand, and lifted her left wrist up in mid-air near her stomach.
“You never know when you must wield the grip of your sword with both hands to ensure that you slice through your enemies, so keep your free hand close. Not everyone is build the same, some are sliced like butter and others are built like thick cheese wheel that takes a while to cut as if you were using a spoon instead of a blade.”
