West City had seen its fair share of the oddities of earth, one of the most culturally diverse locations, it was widely accepted that anything imaginable was made possible due to the advancement of technology. An octopod out of water hovering in the air might have been strange to anyone, most would guess that it was a robot, while those were who were inclined to the use of ki would understand that it Hachi was in fact a living creature with the ability to utilize the sky dance art. Vanille was quick to offer his greetings as he would with anyone he would have met for the first time.
“Hachi.” Juniper spoke up on his behalf, “A long time companion of mine who specializes in the four arts.”
Hachi squinted its large orb like eyes into a happy greeting to see Fenrir after a long while as well as a potential new friend.
The walk was short, their host was modest in his approach of showcasing his place of business, and home. However, having a business of any kind in the largest city on earth was lucrative for anyone who was successful in their goal. In fact, it was not far from her elder sister's own Cafe, who was able to make a brand for herself.
“It is so quaint, it must be relaxing for West City locals and tourists to come to this brick building, compared to the steel and glass sky rise buildings that make up the downtown skyline.” Juniper smiled in response to Vanille's humbleness.
Juniper was gestured to step inside the upstairs part of the building, which was an open wood floor apartment of their host's home, apart from the moon gate dividing the walls, it was quite different interior compared to the exterior and the neighborhood structures itself. In fact, the cafe where they met was contemporary in comparison.
“How nice, it is wonderfully decorated, thank you for inviting us all over Vanille.” Juniper stepped inside leaving behind her kitten heal pumps at the side of the door on instinct. Being raised in Oolong's castle, the décor reminded her of her own home, and leaving the dirt of the outdoors from entering the home was a common practice. Quietly walking past the moon door, she took a seat in the nearest chair, and waited for the others to settle in for tea that was yet to be made.
It had been two years since Fenrir had become her dearest friend, even living together at the zen estate tea house, and later opening up a bakery in Oolong City. While he was familiar with the other residents of the estate it was difficult to tell if the wolf deity had become just as close ever since.
“Fenrir-san, have you made any meaningful friendships since the last time we have seen each other?” Juniper simply inquired with a calm countenance expressed on her delicate doll like visage, “As a new mother, I have been rather occupied, so I am curious what you have been up to apart from materializing your dream for the new restaurant.”
Of course, this could have been a private conversation with just the two of them, but she felt comfortable in their present environment to discuss the subject compared to being in a public place.

The inside of Vanille's apartment was not what Fenrir had been expecting. He had been expecting something more modern. Or, maybe due to the building's quaint brick exterior, he was expecting something a bit more contemporary but not quite so... vintage? Well, no, he couldn't call it vintage. Even if some of the pieces in the home did look quite old - or at least old compared to humans, they were fairly new to Fenrir. He could look around and say that it looked traditional? Yes, that was a much better phrase to describe the aesthetics of Vanille's apartment home, traditional.
As soon as Juniper had gone to enter, she removed her shoes. It was instinctual for her. She didn't even think about it. Fenrir had noticed it, and he followed suit; he removed his own shoes and set them aside. There were some simple slippers set aside for them to wear inside the house, despite the floor not being tatami like in some parts of the Zen Tea House, he still felt the need to follow those quaint old traditions.
He went inside and soon found himself seated at a comfortable chair, looking around the room. "This place looks pretty good. Kind of giving me ideas for the interior of the roving restaurant," He tapped his chin, as if he were being inspired even more by the Westernlands decor of the place.
"Thank you. It took some time to make the interior look like this. When I originally bought the building, the interior had been gutted by a fire. It had been quite tragic. This used to be some kind of fire house of some kind, there's even an old fireman's pole upstairs that leads all the way down to the first floor. You can see it over there." Vanille motioned across the room, just beyond one of the oriental moon gate doorways, there was a brass pole that appeared to be emerging from the ceiling and went down into an open hole in the hardwood flooring.
"It's been a while since I had guests come into my home, so I should be thanking you for kindly accepting my offer," Vanille smiled, speaking humbly as he went to prepare some tea as he had offered.
It did not take long for a nice warm and cozy scent to begin wafting throughout the apartment, all of it pouring from within the kitchen. The tea was being brewed.
That left Juniper alone with Fenrir once again, though this time they were no longer in a cafe, rather it was the home of the talented barista, "Meaningful friendships?" She had asked him an interesting question. Well, it depended on what she meant by meaningful friendships. Sure, he had been staying at the Zen Tea House for quite a while now, going on two years. But, in all that time, he had not had much time to spend with the other inhabitants of the tea house. He almost felt quite bad about it; he was living with them, but he had not really spent as much time with them as he had hoped to.
"I've met people. Outside of the Zen Tea House. A lot of interesting people. But, I guess I have been so focused on the restaurant that I haven't had as much time to think about anything else, including friendships, relationships."

The fire pole was confirmation that a time of taking precautions of disaster existed before technology advanced to the point of putting out fires easily, with sprinkler systems and advanced fire extinguishers, that having a team at the ready was no longer necessary. It was ironic almost, that a fire almost destroyed the building that served to protect people and property from being burned, and now it was the abode of a future employee. Juniper's cobalt eyes met with Fenrir's crimson hues when he admitted that he had been occupied with their bakery and plans for another restaurant despite living in a large household. Perhaps it was because everyone had their own room, that their privacy was respected in her own absence, and there was also the possibility that she was the glue that brought everyone together.
“Really?” Juniper chuckled, “Perhaps time is no longer relevant to you and I am paying too much attention to it. Do the years feel like days to you, Fenrir-san?”
Juniper tapped her bare feet on the wooden floor as she waited for a response, the smell of the tea brewing was delightful, while coffee had more caffeine to wake up her senses, tea had a relaxing affect and it was suitable to her tastes personally.
“Well, I am glad you decided to include me in your plans, nonetheless. I am looking forward for the future. I am rather excited about it quite honestly.” The dandelion clan princess smiled demurely.
The time she spent outside Oolong City had been short lived, after so many years being raised in the castle, she wondered about the outside world, only to return to the very walls that kept her to raise her own hybrid children, and now she was allowed to leave once again to explore what she had been missing out on.
Hachi hovered nearby, examining the plants that lived in the apartment, mainly for its various pigments under certain lighting conditions, and delicately lifted a leaf with a black tentacle to feel the texture up close. Ever since Misaki moved into the Zen estate, the plants thrived, as well as the tree of might that was similar to himself in having the ability to control ki bearing fruits that would give a boost if consumed. While the greenette offered to share these precious fruits, Juniper declined, as it was not in her interest to become stronger, but to learn how others trained to do so. The octopod on the other had, felt it was a waste to let the fruit go bad, if it remained on the ground, for the birds to eat and took every opportunity to eat the fruit.
“You should give the others at zen tea house a chance. While Misaki seems rather private, she is good company, and is very kind. Koma might seem unapproachable but he has tact. Jade...despite being one of the strongest among the cat beasts needs guidance quite honestly. Even if it is common for people to be violent in Oolong City, it is not always the answer, well I expect that to change one day among the Pig Demon duchies. Maxine is pleasant to be around, while she may seem obligated to keep you company, she does have thoughts of her own if you pry hard enough—Koma has no trouble getting her to react a certain way that would make her seem most human compared to other androids.”
Juniper felt it was up to her to encourage everyone to get along, knowing that the residents have drifted apart after all this time, and it was important to her because it was part of nature to be. Fenrir might have felt skeptical about the others or nearly forgotten the importance of time given he was an ancient deity and life was shorter for them than it was for him.
“It would be great if they were all present when you first open the new restaurant.” She finally added. [661]

Time was a funny thing. The perception of time for him was even funnier. Oh, he was old. He was sure that there were countries out there that weren't as old as him. Hell, he was sure there were landmasses out there that weren't as old as him. Sure, he wasn't as old as the Earth. He was nowhere near that old. His mother was nowhere near that old. But he was old. So, because of this, his perception of time could be skewed; he could see time as anyone else saw time, as any human saw time. He could see it as something that was stretched out, like taffy, spread long and thin. Humans saw time as something that went on forever, a year was a year. Even if their lives were, sadly, short. But to him, a year may as well be a moment. He has lived many moments. Some good, some great, some bad, some terrible, and time ticked on, and others faded away.
"The years to me, they feel like minutes, sometimes," he considered his words carefully, "I can see time like everyone else and unlike everyone else. I can blink and a day becomes irrelevant, a year becomes irrelevant. I've seen the moon rise and fall, the oceans rise, empires born and empires burn, I've seen love, hate, life, death... And yet, I still look forward to the future. What will tomorrow bring me? Who will I meet next? What will their eyes allow me to see? Will I be able to see the world with them? How long...will they be by my side before they too...fade away." He allowed his eyes to drift to the pole she was looking at.
"Of course I will include you," He smiled to the beautiful woman, resting his chin on the palm of his hand, "I want to include everyone. I guess that's why I had not had time to spend with them. I want them to see it when it is completed. When it is perfect. I want to see their faces when they see the restaurant, I want to see their eyes light up. I want your kids to come too. I'll give them a free dessert. I'm sure that they'll love some." He grinned.
Fenrir turned to look in the direction of the kitchen, where he could hear the long haired Vanille humming, he was singing to himself as he made tea. Fenrir did not know the song. He did not know the language, perhaps it was something from Vanille's homeland. The song, however, sounded haunting.
"Misaki, is she the one that speaks to plants? She seems intriguing. I would not mind spending some time with her. I've always wondered what the plants were thinking. My mother never told me." He couldn't help but smile, thinking back of the times his mother communed with nature. She never divulged what nature spoke about. But apparently, she communed with nature at length. Held entire conversations. Or at least, that's what he imagined. "Maxine was interesting. I remember from the spar we had. She was calculated. Koma doesn’t appear to be much of a talker. But, I wouldn’t mind talking to him some more. Jade…” He got to that one, “She uh...She makes me nervous…” He said this honestly as he recalled the one time she almost set him on fire whilst doing a friendly spar.
Vanille entered the room as he was carrying a tray over to their table. He served the two cups and saucers, and poured them their fresh tea. “It’s a recipe my mother gave me, it’s supposed to be very calming.”
“You know, I wouldn’t mind if you were there too, for the opening of my restaurant.” Fenrir peered over at Vanille. “We could use people with your drive, your talent, and I’m sure you can bring in a lot of customers with your...distinct look.” He grinned up at the attractive tatted up man.

Juniper held a complacent expression as Fenrir went into great detail of his perception of time as a wolf deity trapped in a demon body. As a descendant of royalty and a prestigious demon clan she felt it was relatable for her family. However, Juniper had not lived nearly as long as Fenrir, limited to the memories of the passing of time in her entire lifetime at the age of twenty, and yet she also looked forward to the future in the same way as her dearest friend. The eloquent words he used to describe a picturesque scene of everyone tasting food created at the roving restaurant completely crafted by him was something to look forward to. The idea of asking Misaki what plants felt caused her to chuckle demurely, “I ask her the same question every time, too. To translate what the plants are saying to her. If I recall, she said it was more or less a feeling, one that only she could understand to be of aid. It sometimes makes me feel bad given the nature of tea, while I enjoy it to the fullest, we have to take away life to live.”As a demoness she was not entirely vegetarian, so she was wary about the plant consumption in front of Misaki for that reason, but the greenette insisted there was no issue in eating what she called friends; despite the fact that she punched a yakuza into a pond for nearly stepping on a dandelion. After musing over their very first meeting at a tea house, she wondered if the idea of the new clan stemmed from that incident, as this was the first time she recalled that single moment in time. “Ah yes, Jade, I noticed that when we trained at the zen estate dojo. The feline is quite formidable and is beginning to understand her own strength.”The dandelion princess turned to look at Vanille who joined them in the living room, “Thank you for the tea.”After picking up a cup and saucer herself, she looked over at Fenrir for a brief second, and then back towards their host, “Perhaps you can make a decision on your future employment after we visit Capsule Corp? Let me know if that is too soon. I would hate to make you feel rushed.”

Meanwhile in Capsule Corp.
After months of business expansion and entrepreneurial genius, Bass finally felt like he deserved to sit in the same room as some of the minds leading the Capsule Corporation. Fitted with dress pants, a shirt and tie as is his normal formal outfit, a piece of paper rest at his side on a clipboard that he took notes on. The two parties were on the tail end of their little meeting, to which Bass would speak out in confirmation.
"I'm glad we could come to an agreement. Of course like I said, you can expect a few million zeni as a first installment for this project. We'll start sending some of our vehicles your way to get the Capsule treatment. That'll make it a lot smoother for us to move things around without making a mess, ahaha." He'd chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand.
Across the way was a Capsule Corp spokesperson with clearance to close the deal. Even with The Momentum Corporation's newfound success after the old management collapsed, they still paled in comparison to the global genius of Capsule Corp, founded on a miraculous scientific or... pseudo-scientific breakthrough. They flipped around a pen in their hand and jotted some notes down, before giving a brief nod and speaking.
"I suppose that's everything then. We'll close out the meeting here, but Capsule Corp will get in touch with your company about this over the coming days and weeks. It was a pleasure speaking Mr. Bass." The man would say, closing up a folder and getting out of his chair. Reaching downwards he'd scoop up the file and tuck it into a briefcase, picking up the whole ensemble before giving a courteous slight bow towards the Namekian.
By that point Bass had gotten up himself, adjusting his tie and trying to as elegantly as possible fold up the paper he used to take notes before slipping it into one of the slim pockets on the front of his shirt. He almost entirely missed the non-verbal gesture of kindness sent his way, but at the last second spotted the action out of the corner of his eye.
"It was nice chatting, I'm always excited to see what Capsule Corp does next so... Keep up the good work I guess." He said, immediately regretting saying something like that. He sounded like some kind of fanboy, but his second thoughts about saying such a thing were dashed as the spokesperson offered a warm smile and nodded before heading out of the room.
Bass would take a moment to look out of the window behind him to admire West City from what was effectively its' core. Nobody could hear West City without thinking Capsule Corp, the origination of some of Earth's most influential technologies. The view perhaps wasn't extraordinary, but it had a profound meaning that appealed to the Demon Clan Namekian. Letting out a yawn, before he became a nuisance he'd turn and begin heading out of the building.
Going through the sliding doorway at the front, he'd take a seat on a nearby bench to remove and begin to look over the notes he'd taken. At some point he'd need to get the Nameklann and send out a few calls based on what happened. After all, The Momentum Corporation's machinery was about to get some downsizing.

The tall wolf could look back in his memory and pluck out one single memory out of many. Sure, not all of the memories were clear. Many were fuzzy. Oh, especially during that period of time in between what he would call his natural state and his current state, the wild times. Yes, those memories were either fragmented or missing entirely and he couldn’t quite think back to those times without feeling uneasy, nervous, agitated, and remembering just being confused and cold, although the cold never bothered him, he felt it for the first time during that time, he felt so many things for the first time during that time, including pain, so much pain.
But, he didn’t need to think about those memories, not now. He had the present and the future to think about; the past was over and done with. He cannot change it. So why bother dwelling on it with regret? All he can do is look back, study it, and learn from it in order to improve on himself as he was now and to better himself for the future ahead.
Speaking of Misaki, it appeared that the beautiful Tea Princess had asked the same questions that he wanted to ask; what were the plants thinking, what were they saying when they communed with Misaki, but from what Juniper said, it was not so much spoken words even if spoken through a telepathic link. It was, instead, feelings. That is what Misaki detected from the plants, she detected what the plants were feeling. It made sense. The plants were living things but could they think? Maybe not, but they could feel.
“Hm, it is true. In order for one to survive, one must die. It is really the way of the world, the way of nature. One animal kills another for sustenance. It is something I am very familiar with. I witnessed it, I lived it, out in the frozen tundra of the North.” Oh, that again, recalling that time, the wild times. “There was a time, I don’t think much of it because the memories are hard to lock down, they’re fuzzy and sometimes just completely missing, but there was a time where I lived out in the frozen snow. It was after I became this,” He motioned to his body, “After I was placed in this form. I guess you can say this body was limited, and because of its limits, having a deity shoved into it with little preparation caused side effects. I was wild. I survived off the land. I hunted down snow rabbits. I remember living with a pack of wolves. They recognized me in all this, and they took me in. What a sight that would have been; me naked, living in the snow, chasing rabbits and living with wolves. But, as I was saying, to survive, I had to eat, to eat I had to kill. Life is a precious thing, it exists on a delicate balance, a hierarchy, of animals that kill and animals that are killed. And even those animals that are killed in turn kill lesser things, they eat grass, for example, the same living things that Misaki convenes with, in order to survive. It’s a messy affair but it’s worked so far.”
He smiled, watching Juniper try the tea, peering over at Vanille, “Thank you for the tea,” He raised his cup and tasted it, “Hm, this is quite nice. Not overbearing, there’s little hints of something in the background, I can’t place it, but I like it.”
“Oh, I would not feel rushed. I tend to make decisions on a whim all the time,” Vanille grinned, rubbing his chin, “After all, I did walk into a coffee shop today and kind of strong-armed myself onto their staff just to correct their atrocious coffee. In fact, I would not mind going along with you to see what you plan on building. I’ve never been inside Capsule Corp before and I’ve never seen something like what you’ve got planned before. I am very curious to see how it will turn out. Let me change my clothes and I’ll join you.”
“Do you need help changing?” Fenrir said with a sly grin.
A small grin crossed Vanille’s face and he walked toward his bedroom to change his clothes. “If you need more tea, I made more.” With that he entered his room and shut the door.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
The outfit that Vanille stepped out of his room wearing, that he wore when he walked out of his apartment with the two of them, was not exactly what Fenrir had been expecting. He had expected the tattooed young man to wear something casual. Yet, he stepped outside in a rather nice looking suit. It looked like something one would wear to a rather formal occasion. Even the buttons looked polished and new.
“I can’t wait to go inside Capsule Corp and see what you both have planned for this restaurant. Maybe it’ll give me some ideas to fix up and upgrade my own place. I’m going to leave a friend of mine in charge of the place while I’m gone. I trust she’ll take care of it. She helped me build the place up, after all.”
“Oh? Well, I’m glad to hear you have people you trust with your business like that. I’m sure that she’ll do fine; if you trust her, of course I have no reason not to believe she isn’t capable. If you do decide to join the staff, I wouldn’t mind doing some trade between our businesses. Sell some of our desserts in your restaurant, and you can sell some of your drinks in mine. Expand both businesses at the same time.”
The trio left the apartment, Fenrir allowed Vanille to head into his watering hole, so to speak, and after a few moments, he stepped out and followed them to Capsule Corp.
It was outside Capsule Corp that Fenrir took notice of someone unique. Someone with pointed ears and antennae and blue skin. He’s been alive for centuries and millennia and he’d never seen anything like that before.
“Curious…”

After tea, Vanille showed the pair of suited demons the bar, which was in the process of being set up by a trusted female bartender and cocktail waitresses. The interior was similar to the upstairs apartment, yet the owner wanted to expand the business, either by opening at an earlier hour to serve desserts or some other method which was mostly directed at Fenrir who was the creative end of their bakery business.
Hachi decided to hang out at the watering hole after all, he may not be able to speak, but he had plenty of tentacles to express what he wanted to order and had his own credit card. Juniper’s cobalt blue eyes glanced at her companion and waved at the octopod. The rest of the group continued to walk outside, the Dandelion clan princess was petite, and the other two were much taller than her so she set the pace by walking ahead.
“Hm?” Juniper tilted her head after hearing Fenrir mutter curiously, she recognized Bass sitting on an outdoor bench, just outside the Capsule Corp corporate office building with its iconic dome like structure. Next to this building was the showroom of their latest tech, for customers to buy Hoi-Poi Capsules directly, as well as employees who can design anyone can dream off by modeling in 3d software and digitizing the product into the capsule itself.
“Bass-san!”
After calling his attention, with a widening smile she walked over with a quickened step in her black pumps, and waved at the blue namekian that still towered over her stature even while seated.
“It’s been a while since we first met in Oolong City. How have you been? Ah.” Juniper realized she broke away from her group, “I would like to introduce you to my dearest friend Fenrir-san. We own a bakery business together in my homeland. Also, Vanille-san a bar owner and a West City local we just met today at breakfast, who is excellent at making coffee and tea as well. We were just on our way to the Capsule Corp showroom to have a concept designed. If you’re not too busy, would you like to attend?” [359] Bass Fenrir

Capsule Corp was the kind of place you'd come across individuals with relatively high power levels. After all, the history of the place put some pretty influential people here over time if some of the kakarot mangas and Pilaf and Friends merchandise spoke any truth- he'd gotten practically the whole collection at this point. Yet the Namekian felt a pair approaching in the short span of time he was there, and for a fraction of a second he was just recklessly hoping it was one of those great fighters of old. Yet when he looked up he still wasn't disappointed, one good thing for another. Looking towards the both of them as he was called out towards, his eyes would narrow slightly. He recognized one pretty quick, but the other went entirely over their head- not to mention Vanille, who he didn't know a thing about either.
That being said, Juni's brief summary to catch him up to speed was more than enough. As his eyes lost their narrowed shape and he warmed up to the group, he'd stand up while speaking.
"Juni, it's good to see you again. It looks like you've been keeping yourself busy." He'd say. As he did so he'd extend a hand in Fenrir's direction, and then Vanille's.
"You heard it already, but I'm Bass. That's Bassically it. No surname, Namekian and all." Yet he was blue. Needless to say while there was room for elaboration, he casually opted not to add to it.
When Juniper asked her question, Bass considered his schedule for the day. He'd just had his meeting with Capsule Corp, and raising his watch he still had a while until he had to do anything important. Later on in the evening he had plans to go to a restaurant with his coworkers, a weekly thing they did to just chat and hang out. Yet the only big business move just happened and was being rolled out, a way to make their operations more efficient. After all while Bass didn't think it was impossible to reinvent Capsule Tech, the patents and rights to that technology were in the hands of Capsule Corp. While the entrepreneur in him thought that sucked, the other part of him understood the right to retain innovation in the hands of the inventor. Regardless he'd look down from his watch and address the question.
"Depends on everything that you have planned, but I don't see why not. I have the rest of the day off work, and I suppose in the worst case scenario I can postpone dinner with my colleagues until tomorrow." It just clicked to the Namekian that she said 'showroom' and 'have something designed'. Taking a moment to process that, it became apparent that perhaps the closed door meetings weren't required- though then again maybe they were based on the scale of the operations and the fact that it was a Momentum Corp product they wanted turned into Capsule form and not something created by the company itself. Rubbing the back of his neck, his eyes would lock onto Fenrir and Vanille- well, generally the space between them as he didn't quite have a habit of looking two different ways.
"So you're her friends I take it? You seem tough, but more importantly you both run food joints? And you run one in West City?" Bass asked Vanille directly.
"Well then, I have a business opportunity for you. Bulk-buy jumbo ingredients." He said, giving a cheeky thumbs up to go along with it. "Only of the crop variety at the moment, but there might be something else in the works as well." He then looked back to Juniper.
"Lead the way though, don't let me derail your day ahaha." He laughed, turning about to start following where they're headed. They could walk and talk.

Vanille lived in the area. He had a business in the area. But there was one place that he had never entered before. Sure, he had walked past it many times. But he had never personally entered the building; Capsule Corp. The strange structure with its classic dome design, making it look like a flipped ramen bowl, was a staple of the city. It was one of the most famous buildings in the entirety of West City if one were to be honest about it. But, it was one that he never had personally entered. For whatever reason, he did not know. Well, ok, he did know. He didn't really have anything that he needed to do inside that building. Oh, now he did. Now he wanted to see what kind of technological marvels that had hidden therein, and he wanted to see just what exciting features Fenrir wanted to place in his roving restaurant vehicle, but before now, he did not.
He led them to his watering hole, and the young woman whom would be taking over his business was given a short but simple and sweet introduction. Her name was Cream, she was the business partner of Vanille's and one could say a shareholder or investor in the business. She did help get the place built up from the ground up, and had even helped Vanille find the location for it.
Originally, the long haired man wanted to place it in a more modern building, design it to fit his own aesthetic but with far more modern touches. But then Cream showed up and she showed him the burnt out hollow shell that used to be a firehouse. That was it. That was all he needed to see.
It would not just be his business. It would be his home. And now it was. And it was beautiful.
Cream was soft spoken, not very tall but a little shorter than average, she stood about five foot three, give or take an inch or two due to the shoes she wore which appeared to boost her up a tad. She had long hair, braided, and it fell draped over her shoulder and across her chest. She was wearing comfortable slacks, a white blouse, and a black apron. She had glasses, half moon shaped, that rested on her nose.
She spoke with Vanille when he arrived, they discussed what he planned on doing, on checking out Capsule Corp, of spending time with Fenrir and Juniper, and possibly join their staff - but not to worry, he was never going to abandon his own restaurant, merely expand.
Once all that was settled and they left his business and arrived at Capsule Corp, Vanille was once again rocked by a first. He had never seen a single person with blue skin, and now there was one in front of him. And he looked oddly familiar. Perhaps it was the eyes, the ears, the antennae, the bald head, well ok it was all of it combined. He was a Namekian? Is that what they were called? He wasn't sure, he rarely heard the actual term, he mostly heard "demon."
He was introduced as Bass and Juniper politely motioned to Fenrir and then Vanille and introduced them.
Fenrir, the entire time, had been following along, excited by what was going to happen. He was going to take one big step toward achieving his life's goal.
Vanille appeared to be eager, walking along with the two, looking around, taking in the sights, but also attempting to remain visibly composed. It was hard for Fenrir not to see the eagerness in his eyes though.
Bass, when he stepped forward, apparently knew Juniper. In fact, she spoke out his name and he spoke to her as if they were old friends. It was a nice meeting and that only made Fenrir smile; a bit grin that crossed his features.
He had to admit, he liked the look of this blue guy. The ears, he liked the ears. He also particularly enjoyed his voice. It was a nice deep voice. And the build. Oh. Everything about him just screamed to the wolf deity someone who would be more than fun to spend time with. If he had a tail, it'd be waving right now.
He peered over at Juniper when she introduced him, especially taking note when she used the words 'my dearest friend,' which made the grin on his face grow all the wider. "Why, I'll take that as the grandest compliment I've ever received." He then turned to the blue skinned Namekian and held out his hand, "Fenrir, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Any friend of Juniper's is a friend of mine; you are, of course, welcome to visit our bakery at any time."
Vanille gave a soft polite bow when he was introduced, a small smile crossing his handsome features, "It is a pleasure," he peered over at Capsule Corp then, once again gripped with the idea of entering the building.
"Tell me, Bass, this may sound rude but is the blue coloring a normal occurrence? I've never seen anyone that's blue before," Fenrir tapped his chin, looking at him closely, "And if I may say so, I am quite enamored by your ears... Can...Can I touch one? Is that rude? Is that considered rude? I am quite taken aback by them. I've never seen anything quite like them before. They're ... perfect."

With a simple nod she agreed with Bass, “Of course, who needs sleep when life goes on, there’s always something to do as the days and nights pass us by.”Of course Juniper was a demon in every right, so sleep was not as necessary as it was for her pig beastman bloodline, and after hearing the blue namekian’s itinerary for the day it seemed he was more than willing to come along which made her smile complacently. It was a shame that the dinner plans with his workers were postponed but the dandelion princess did not feel any empathy for the decision. The mention of jumbo ingredients was slightly unnerving, as it was illegal in the westernlands to produce genetically modified produce due to the disastrous effects of the land, but since Bass assisted her in confiscating these food products before; she was slightly hopeful that he did not use the ingredients to produce his own. “Jumbo crops?” Juniper affirmed, “All naturally grown, I hope. Fenrir-san creates the menu items for the bakery. I leave the decision for him to make, as I am uncertain how many pastries include vegetables, to be honest.”After some reflection she thought of the types of pastries she enjoyed which included vegetables and had an ah-ha moment. “Pumpkin pastry bread is quite delicious with tea. I also tried a mung bean and ube bread when I was in the Eastern lands with my parents when I was young...it’s been a while since I tried Eastern style desserts.”Bass directed for her to lead the way, so Juniper took a single step forward until Fenrir suddenly asked the namekian a dubious inquiry of being permitted to touch his ears. As a mystic healer, touching someone’s ears out of curiosity was an invasion of personal space, and since he was not visibly injured it would be out of the question. Rather than say anything about the situation she continued to walk down the cobble stone sidewalk towards the show room since it was up to Bass to make the decision on the awkward circumstances he was faced with. The Capsule Corp showroom was directly across the corporate building Bass exited, which was part of the West City skyline, and the dome structure was the very first building that encompassed the company’s humble beginnings as the front runners of the latest earth technology, so it introduced visitors and future buyers to view everything available in the welcoming interior. Past an automatic door was a specialized flooring, made of spirit ore from Juniper’s observation, and several people were sampling every day products like grills, and robot servants on the show floor. While some of the plants were real, others were holograms that children ran across, to make life comfortable. Even the atmosphere seemed to replicate the outdoors, with regulated humidity controlled by the technology Capsule Corp developed, and the air alone was filtered in its purest form. [479] [5,759]

For everything the Namekian had heard, it was one of the final things that Fenrir said that derailed any response he'd been considering to the previously reasonable questioning. There was a momentary pause as Bass just looked into the great expanse of nothingness, staring forward but seemingly not at anything in particular. Eventually his hand would raise up as if to eject Fenrir from the nearby premise, but he came to the conclusion it wouldn't be best for business, and relationships both personal and corporate seeing as Capsule Corp was right there to witness anything he'd do.
So instead Bass just laughed. Rubbing the back of his neck he'd eventually just turn around and start following after Juniper. The question seemed to just completely be beyond any plausible reason to the Namekian, and he came up with absolutely nothing in considering a response. Though to shut down any misconceptions, as he walked after Juniper he'd raise his voice. "No, no you can't. I'm not a zoo attraction." Pinching the bridge of his nose and letting out a sigh, he just followed Juniper at escape velocity. Of course there were other more practically approachable questions and thoughts Fenrir expressed, which the Namekian humored nevertheless.
"I'll keep your bakery in mind, so long as you don't bake ears into the bread we should be okay." He said as he gave a thumbs up.
"Otherwise, the reason I'm Blue is genetic chaos. Better known as a Black Heart Namekian, born from King Piccolo...-" He raised his watch, as if the hours and minutes were some kind of indicator of how long it'd been. Instead of pulling up a miraculous answer, he'd follow up with something expected given the passage of time. "-a long time ago. Also I hope that sack of bones just sneezed."
Listening to what Juniper had to say as they walked, the mention of genetically modified produce being illegal made the Namekian tilt his head. "Oh! Don't worry about just vegetables, we grow jumbo wheat as well... Which if I'm not mistaken is what makes jumbo flour- as you can guess my company is ran by more than just myself with how big it's gotten." He swore jumbo produce has always existed, just like there were giant dinosaurs and other ecological anomalies, flora experiences the same oddities enough to normalize giant plants for those with the means to harvest them.
"To be honest, yeah, jumbo crops would wreck most set-ups. There are... An incredible amount of logistics that went into making our farms work. Buying the land, designing machinery to harvest them, partnering with a processing plant designed for them. I spent about a week averting a crisis when they were ready for harvest." He said with a bout of laughter.
"The stuff we grow just tastes better, and zeni bill to pound is more efficient. Opinion's subjective, don't quote me on that."
Looking around the area they were walking towards, Bass saw things he'd never really cared about before. It just never struck him, focused so much on business relationships that he didn't ever look at Capsule Corp as a traditional consumer except for way back in the day when he'd bought his first Capsule Car before he could outrun it.
"Well, you had business here? I'll just standby as you get that done and whatnot, I don't think I have a need to design any products of my own at this point. We have an R and D team at Momentum Corp for that, I'd rather diversify from Capsule Tech where we can afford to, broaden technology, all of that kind of thing."
Looking around the area, it truly was fairly wild. The technology employed here to make everything just work. If he'd found this before their company made similar tech, he might've used it as inspiration. Though he didn't regret not potentially being subconsciously influenced in such a way.

The two of them were speaking of Jumbo Ingredients. Something that he had never heard about before. Nor did he know about any kind of ecological or any other type of damage they could cause. Though, the words 'jumbo ingredients' did sound intriguing to him, and the chance to have access to such was, indeed, interesting to the wolf. He did, after all, plan on running his own business and he could only imagine that jumbo ingredients meant he could buy those ingredients and be able to spread them out across more plates? That is, if they were as large as he was imagining them in his head. Like, for example, a jumbo carrot. How big was a jumbo carrot? Was it one that was only slightly larger than a regular carrot, or was it many times bigger? Was it two or three or five or ten times larger than the average carrot? How big were jumbo ingredients?
He did say it was harvest only, so did that mean only things like wheat, carrots and vegetables, fruit, and other such things? It couldn't be eggs and the like, just what they harvested on the farms. Also, how did they harvest jumbo ingredients? Oh, there were so many questions buzzing about inside the deity's head just over those two words 'jumbo ingredients.'
"Hm, I hope those jumbo ingredients are all natural as well, though, I've never seen jumbo ingredients, so I don't know how those work, if I am being honest." He would not lie and pretend to know a thing about something he knew nothing about. "How big are jumbo ingredients would you say?" He looked between the Tea Princess and the blue skinned Namek.
Juniper didn't really comment on his question but Bass did. Was he offended? He wasn't really trying to offend. Nor did he imply that he saw him as a zoo attraction. He simply stated an interest in his ears, having never seen anyone of his kind before. But, if he felt that way, he decided to just drop the subject entirely and give a little shrug and walked along with the three of them into the Capsule Corp.
Vanille, for the most part, kept to himself. He had distanced himself from the conversation just slightly as he was looking at the building as well as the people coming in and coming out through the double entry doors.
"Hm, I guess we find someone who can help us out now... Wonder if there is someone around who can guide us. Would we have to speak to a representative to ask them about the features and upgrades, Juni? I've never been to this place before, so I'm not entirely sure how ordering a custom vehicle really works."

Juniper smiled with amusement of Bass wishing Piccolo Daimao sneezed at the mention of being born directly from him by calling him a sack of bones. It was true for anyone who kept up with the news, the cold war between namekians, and the world factions was still ongoing. While the Westernlands was free from Piccolo’s daimao’s grip, the central lands, and the northern lands still have their government troops pushing back the namekian forces everyday like dangerous boardgames of Red Ribbon Battleship or the risky Red Ribbon Rivals. “My husband Koma and I decided to investigate the northern lands to regain control of the mainland border with our assistance. The war has carried on long enough, there are plenty of capable fighters who can push what remains of Piccolo Daimao’s armies back to the northern islands, and potentially defeat him as well. It is my hope to secure a solid foundation of the future for all five of my heirs.” The dandelion princess stated with confidence. Bass neither confirmed nor denied whether his jumbo wheat was naturally grown or genetically modified. In the end, it was up to Fenrir whether he wanted to purchase the ingredients of the bakery and his future roving restaurant from Momentum Financial. As long as the crop was not growing in the western lands, Juniper had no interest in the details of such crops, and was more than willing to share the zeni wealth. Fenrir asked how someone would put their future plans in action at the Capsule Corp showroom so the best way to explain it was to order something herself. Two years ago, she placed an order online to have a seven tiered pagoda designed, which was then downloaded via satellite link into a DynoCapsule and instantly installed in the zen estate across from the zen tea house and near the tree of might. The multistory structure was meant to accommodate her quintuplets in the last two years, ever since the little demons became sentient to rival an average ten year old, their magical shape shifting abilities inherited by their great grandfather Oolong allowed them to appear as any age they desired. “I actually needed to order some supplies prior to my arrival to Jingle Village on the Holly Jolly summit, so if you do not mind, Fenrir-san.” With a simple head bow of dismissal from the group, she walked over to one of the many Capsule Corp robots requesting customer service assistance, and the hovering bot answered by retrieving the manager of the showroom. Of course, the robots were there to accept orders automatically, with ai assistance programming, but Fenrir was rather traditional in social interactions so it would make more sense for the ancient wolf deity to speak to a person. Luna Moth approached from behind a hologram tree, despite being able to walk over it with her seven foot long black legs, and greeted the group with a hand wave. “Welcome to the Capsule Corp show room. My name is Luna Moth and I am the manager of this show room. How can I serve you loyal customers?”“Thank you, Luna-san.” Juniper smiled at the eleven foot tall monster month woman, she felt slightly unnerved by how much she had to crane her neck to converse with everyone being so tall, so she outstretched her hand in the air and used magic materialization to summon her dragon ball shard giant paint brush. While the mystic was able to fly, she chose to use the brush as a seat, then hovered up at eye level with Luna. A computer hologram of Capsule Corp’s design program was projected from Luna’s choker, she raised her larged clawed hands, and created a pyramid in virtual space while she waited for instructions. “I would like to order a fully stocked traditional western lands one story home, with expandable rooms, and made from materials resistant to snowy weather in Holly Jolly mountains. I believe most of the houses in Jingle village are made by Capsule Corp, correct?”“Correct.” Luna replied simply, moving her fingers quickly over the design space, deleting the pyramid and creating the layout starting with the foundation for the home, with heated flooring, tatami mats, an iori, and all the basic comforts of a home. The base design was set up with four rooms, a control panel was placed in the main hall, to expand more rooms as desired. Once the panel was installed, the entire structure nearly doubled to ten additional rooms, then it was folded in virtual space with her black finger tip like an accordion to compress it within the initial base structure. “Is there anything else you would like to order?” The moth woman’s black feather-like antennas observed the group. “Yes, we would like to place a second order, Fenrir-san has an illustration of what he wishes to have custom made.” Juniper placed her hand on the pole end of her paintbrush and hovered behind Fenrir so he can explain his design to the manager directly. Thinking about what he'd said, he never really did answer the question after hearing Fenrir still wondering about if it was natural or not. Thinking about an answer to that question, they were as pure as jumbo crops came? Rubbing his chin as they walked, the Namekian would give a brief remark to solidify the truth in stone. " We bought it straight from reputable sellers. It's legitimate, I even had our research teams check their biological composition to make sure." He would say, looking idly around the venue while he gave his answers. He could've definitely elaborated on how the jumbo crops were mutated at one point, but that would just generate unnecessary worries- since his company fixed the mutations induced by terrorists or something along those lines. Letting out a yawn, he'd elaborate on the size of the jumbo farm. " Well... The onions are about the size of a fairly hefty truck. That's the scale you're looking at, approximately three hundred times larger, give or take a lot- I'm not the scientist and I forget the report they gave me. You'd normally need a specialized way to process them all, but we already have a partner that then distributes the processed ingredients to buyers locally. We're working on setting up farms in other lands so everyone can have access to fresh produce, but there's a lot of logistics involved. After all, while I might think it's better than standard versions of the ingredients, that's subjective. Our company works with local farmers so as to not put anyone out of work." He'd say, finally looking towards Juniper as she began to talk about the war. The fact he was still pushing didn't sit right with Bass- he didn't feel like it was in Piccolo Daimao's nature to be bullheaded like that, he was convinced the old coot was cooking up a plan while his forces maintained a stalemate. " I'm working on setting up something to help fight. I'm one man at the end of the day, so I don't really have a means to deal with so many different things without endangering innocent people. It's been frustrating, holding back, but I figured it was for the best that I invest in a more sustainable and healthy solution. I'll be sure to be there when the King himself is confronted." The Black Heart Namekian said, cracking a set of knuckles. That was around the time he wound up quite awestruck. Familiar with monsters and outcasts, the sheer size of Luna as she came from seemingly just about nowhere through a hologram made the Namekian do a double take. He wasn't familiar with having to look up, being typically around a foot taller than most people. Not only was Luna taller than him, she was approaching double his height. Needless to say she was talking to Juniper, and business was going down. The Namekian had no problems letting them do their thing as he glanced over towards Fenrir. " What's your opinion about Piccolo and all that? If you're from around here, I imagine it effects you a lot more than me in South City. I've been trying to scrap together a team of fighters to get something done, but..." Not quite finishing his sentence, the end crossed his mind. He hadn't been all that fortunate on that front. Looking through all of the prospects, he'd come to the conclusion that a lot of Martial Artists were chaotic, selfish or unpredictable in nature- selfishness in a way that didn't benefit others, Bass was certainly selfish in his own ways as well. " ... Well, haven't had much luck yet. I'm thinking the tournament might be a great opportunity to scout some talent." 617 | 2471 Fenrir Juni
