Ravage had found himself in the Northern region and boy was it cold. The sneeze wasn't helping him at all nor was his runny nose. With all that fur you would think he would get use to it. Traveling through the snow with a fairly large size crimson winter coat and walking through knee deep snow. He found himself heading towards a nearby small village. Base on looks alone, it looked like it had been over run by bandits and abandoned for quite sometime. As his feet got more visible as he entered the town itself, he looked around him and could see the broken glass of the windows of the buildings. He saw traces of blood scattered about and looked at the one building to his left that seemed like it would have what he needed at a time like this, beer.
He entered the bar and looked at the various bodies that were scattered all around him. Humans and Zoans alike were scattered like they were in a bar fight and from the smell alone, he could tell it was fairly recent, probably a few days old. As he stood another step forward, the old wooden floors would give a loud noise that someone was walking closer. The sound of a shotgun could be heard being cocked from behind the bar counter and popping up from cover would be a pig zoan with an eye patch covering his left eye and a cigarette in his mouth. With a southern accent, the pig cocked his shotgun once more and pointed it straight at Ravage. Who had immediately spotted the pig and began to raise his hands in the air.
"HEY HEY! Don't you dare move any closer boy! Ima fry you like bacon if you step any closer! I thought you and your bandit crew were going further North as agreed? why did you come back here?"
"I don't know what you are talking about. I am not from here. I am from the Eastern region."
At first the pig was going to call him a liar and just blast him in the face with his shotgun, but then he noticed a piece of paper just below his eye view behind the bar. It was a wanted flier of Ravage. Base on what it said, he was wanted dead or alive for the killing of a world martial artist that was known to be a skilled fighter and who had won several of the tournaments ages ago in his prime. This martial artist, unknown to the pig, was actually Ravage's adoptive father. The pig eyed him a bit and stepped outside from behind the bar.
"You are an assassin right?"
Before Ravage could answer, the pig had grabbed the wanted flier and showed it to him.
"You killed the legendary Meshik Lee. Why?"
"I didn't kill him. Meshik Lee was my adoptive father."
"Wha? you no good liar. He has never took in a zoan before. Only humans."
"I was turned into a wolf by a wizard."
"Why the hell should I believe you?"
Ravage had cautiously reached into his pouch which was clearly visible on his waistline. The pig had stepped forward and this caused Ravage to stop in his motion from reaching into it. They eyed each other for a few seconds and then the pig nodded towards him. Ravage opened the pouch and pulled out a picture. The picture would have him in human form, standing next to his adoptive father. He would toss him the photo and the pig would look at it. There was no question, they both had the same mohawk.
"I see... no wonder. I found it strange that you had that mohawk on you..."
The pig would put his shotgun on the bar counter and Ravage would walk over to him as the pig handed the picture back to him.
"If you didn't kill him, why would there be a flier out?"
"The wizard wants me to take the fall."
"Do you know this wizard's name or how he looks like?"
"I don't know his name, all I know is that he is an old human with cat fish whiskers."
The pig's eyes had widen in mere shock and he almost choked on his own saliva.
"That wizard... I have heard about him. However, I'm afraid I can't help you. I have my own problems to deal with. You see, the bandits that had came here. Stole our bundles of cargo from my shop and the others. If you could get the cargo back for me. I will be more than happy to give you information."
Ravage had something else in mind, perhaps he could torture the swine for the information, but the pig could easily lie about the information if he would resort to that. Ravage had no choice in the matter and decided to help the pig instead.
"You have yourself a deal."
Ravage had left the bar and traveled up North, with his sense of smell he was able to identify three bandits that were nearby and had set up camp with a big fire which had smoke up in the air. He followed it and found the bandits who were crocodile zoans. They had raised up from his sitting position and had pulled out their weapons. The leader of the crocodiles, wearing a sheriffs hat and holding a revolver, pointed it at Ravage. The other two carried a sword and the other a mace. The leader spoke, as he reloaded his revolver.
"What the hell do you want wolf? We found this cargo first!"
"That's unfortunate, you are about to lose it."
The crocodile zoan began to sniff the area, he didn't detect anyone else with him.
"Why didn't you come with your other crew members? The black wolves don't normally travel by themselves."
"I don't know who that group is. Just hand over the cargo before I get serious."
The leader was in a sigh of relief and began to laugh.
"Haha, that's good to know. Let's take him out boys!"
The two crocodiles had rushed over to him, while the leader let off a few rounds over to Ravage. Ravage was quick to begin to spin his hilted metal knife spear in front of him. This would be enough to deflect the bullets away from him and he would immediately throw the javelin straight at the crocodile with the sword in his hand. The crocodile would deflect it with his sword but Ravage had vanished from his position and appeared right behind the crocodile with the sword and digging his claws into the crocodile's back and lifting him up in the air. The crocodile's organs and such began to freeze overtime as blood started to leak from his mouth.
"What the.."
The sound of the leader's revolver started to click and Ravage turned around just in time to have the crocodile minion take all of the remaining bullets. His body was then tossed to the side and Ravage quickly rushed over to the crocodile with the mace and performed a jump side kick to his cheek. Which would be enough to throw him into the snow and cause him to drop his weapon. One stomp was enough to crack his neck and dislocate it. The leader was too busy trying to reload his revolver but was struggling. Ravage began to fill the tip of his claws with poison liquid and immediately dashed straight to the leader. Slicing the revolver into two pieces and striking the crocodile's neck instantly. The crocodile had only been grazed as he had dodged the majority of the initial attack.
"Hehe, too slo-"
The crocodile felt the affects of the poison and had immediately dropped to his knees.
"You... you fucking poisoned me!"
"Would you happen to know an old man with whiskers? he's a wizard."
"What. I have no idea who you are talking about!"
Ravage walking over to the wagon that had the cargo and began to lift it up, pulling it and walking away.
"Hey wait! we are fighting! where the hell do you think you're going?"
"I'm leaving, that poison will soon end your life in a few minutes. So I don't have to waste more time."
"You can't just leave me like this!"
"Its not my problem."
Ravage leaving the area and heading back to the pig. The pig was extremely excited to see the cargo and he immediately began to have tears of joy.
"Thank you friend.."
"The wizard's location, where is it?"
"Right.. it due West of here. You can't miss it, there is a large cave and there's a hermit inside. If anyone who knows where anything is around this region or any region for that matter. It's him."
"Thank you."
Ravage going west, after traveling through the knee deep snow, he came across a giant wondering polar bear monster that had some serious mutation. The bear was quick and fast, so much so that his mouth teared through Ravage's shoulder and almost stole more of his flesh if he didn't wear his armor. Its strong brute body and overpowering nature was more than enough to knock out Ravage. Before Ravage had fallen into a KO state. He saw the bear he was fighting collapse to the ground and his savior, would be three wolf shadowy figures behind the collapsed bear. Ravage had closed his eyes and hours later, woke up in the black wolves tribe location and was now in a hut. His wound was repaired with bandages and healing herbs. These wolves were much darker in fur color and much more bulkier than Ravage. The leader of the wolves, wearing a winter coat jacket had approached Ravage.
"You were lucky that my three best hunters were out there searching for the bears to bring back as food. What were you doing all the way out there? You don't look like any other wolf tribe around here..."
"That's because i'm not really a wolf. An evil wizard used its magic to turn me into a wolf. Now i'm stuck as a wolf until I find him."
"Ah I see, so the legends are true. Yes I have heard of this wizard. The Black Serpent. He turns anyone who comes across him as frogs. This is the first time I have heard that he turns someone into a wolf."
"Tell me where I can find him..."
"I could tell you where, but it wouldn't benefit you at all. You see, he uses the polar bears in this region as his protectors. Seeing as how you couldn't take down even one of them. It would be a suicide mission to just send you over there. However, i'm willing to make a deal with you."
"Alright, i'm listening."
"I'm willing to have my best fighters train you, however in exchange you will help us here for a month. We need more supplies for the coming winters. Since it will get much more colder than what it is now. If you help us, I will guarantee that you will be ready."
"I have no time to do all this. I-"
"The wizard isn't going anywhere and with your injury it would at least take three days to heal. I am willing to work with you, if we have a deal."
"Alright, you have a deal."
Day in and day out for a month straight, Ravage was helping the wolf tribe collect supplies such as cutting down trees, gathering water jugs from the nearby cold lake, and other various supply runs for them. In exchange, they taught him how to fight appropriately when it came to the beast or any type of individual for that matter. He had honed his skills during this time period that he was much stronger, slightly bulkier, and more adapted to the cold than he was before. He was accepted into the tribe like a fellow brother. The leader was so proud of his accomplishment that it was hard to see him go. The leader had approached him and knew that it was his last day here.
"I hate to see you go, helping us during this time period was good.. thank you so much. Even though you aren't a true wolf, you will always be accepted here."
"Thank you."
"Safe travels."
Ravage traveled to where the wizard's castle was located at. It was much farther than what was expected. Guarded by the polar bears that the wolves had told him about a month prior. He was ready to take them on and it pulled off. He was able to eliminate them with ease this time around and after traveling through the snow and finally within the small castle, he found the wizard's location. Covered in a black hood and his back turned away from Ravage, Ravage made his presence known.
"I have finally come here for my revenge wizard!"
The wizard had turned around, taking off his hood. He was a slender looking frog with tons of warts covering his face.
"What, who the hell are you?"
"What? you aren't the wizard that turned me into a wolf..."
"Oh heavens no, I turn humans into frogs. I'm not like that disgusting wizard. Turning people into other various things. I have class you know."
"Tell me who that wizard is then!"
"I may not like what he does, but in no way would I sell a fellow wizard out."
With that being said, the wizard clapped his hands together. Two giant size humanoid frogs had arrived on scene in front of the wizard.
"Kill him and I will restore you back to your human forms."
The two frogs had leaped towards Ravage, Ravage was quick to dodge both of their grapple attempts. Ravage was quick to reveal his claws just under his paws and immediately dashed to the both of the frogs behind. Stabbing both of their backs from behind and immediately began to freeze their insides. The frogs had shook the castle with their enormous size, which caused Ravage to fall to the ground on his back. The steps of their indirect movement was close to making Ravage into a pancake. He began to move around and this fully paying off as both of the frogs collapsed to the ground and were too frozen to move anymore. Ravage approached the frog wizard and grabbed a hold of his neck.
"Tell me, where the hell is the wizard!"
"North of here, there is a town that the wizard's known associates are. A rhino and an elephant zoans. They are his enforcers. They would know where he is now."
"Alright one last thing, turn these two back into their original forms."
"Gah, fine."
A simple spell was casted and both of the frogs were now wolves. Ravage had recognize their appearance and had figured that they were apart of their tribe. Ravage snapping the frog's neck and putting an end to his villainy. The two wolves looked at him and smirked. One of them spoke up before bowing to him.
"Those movements... I take it our tribe had teach you a thing or two."
"Yes they actually have."
"We will let them know what you did for us today. We don't forget debts like this."
"Don't worry about it. I'm trying to be free of this curse as well."
"Safe travels.."
Ravage nodded and was on his way to the North.
