Appearance:
Okora is 5'6 and at the time of her departure wore a plain commoner outfit. When forced to leave on Extermination missions she wore Saiyan armor along with the control device attached to her tail.
Personality: Okora is unusual for a Saiyan. She dislikes fighting and she dislikes violence. She would honestly have rather used her abilities to protect people rather then takes the lives she was forced to. She often feels guilty over what she had to do under threat of death from her fellow Saiyans.
History: As with nearly every Saiyan, Okora was born on Planet Vegeta and at birth was found to have an average power level for a child and was sent to begin combat training when she was deemed to be the appropriate age. However during her first combat practice against another Saiyan child, she refused to fight. The other child had no such reservations and Okora suffered a severe beating and was sent to the healing chambers. After recovering, the combat instructors decided to try and have her fight a number of Saibamen. This time the end result was a bit different. One of the Saibamen attempted to crush her tail while she was trying to avoid the attacks and Okora went into an intense pain fueled rage which resulted in the destruction of the Saibamen and the training chamber having to be repaired. The instructors realized that the only way to get her to fight was to cause her intense pain so that she would operate on pure instinct. A device that caused severe electrical shocks was attached to her tail and she was sent into combat training once again. Despite not wanting to fight, the device was activated again and again during combat training, causing her to go into her pain fueled rage, forcing her to overcome the weakness that came with the Saiyan tail being hurt while at the same time forcing her to fight.
As the years passed, Okora was able to force herself to put her hatred of fighting to the side and as she grew older she was forced to do things she wished she could forget as she was forced to fight. She was forced to aid in the extermination of the population of no less then three planets. She was forced to fight people who were simply trying to save their people from the ruthless Saiyan invaders. She often wished she could have turned on the people she was fighting with but the leader of these expeditions was always given the controller to the device attached to her tail and was given permission to use it should she show weakness. The mental scars she was accumulating were having a horrible effect on her conscious. When she was alone after returning from the missions, she couldn't sleep as she heard the sounds of battle and the screams of those she had killed echo through her mind as she tried to sleep. Eventually, a plan began to form in her mind one night as she stared at the ceiling of her quarters.
A week after her third population extermination mission, she was to be sent on another mission to help destroy another planet's population. It was determined that this race might be strong enough to warrant the use of the Great Ape form to complete the job. Okora knew that many more would die at her hands if she was forced to use the Great ape form. She had never assumed the form before but she had heard the stories of those who had, nothing but mass murder and destruction followed the use of that form and it was at that point she decided that enough was enough. She went out to the market before it closed, purchased a large amount of meat and a large butcher knife to cut it with and returned home. After eating her supper, she looked down at her tail and the device that had caused her so much pain over her life and with one swing, cut her own tail off. She was able to suppress her screams of pain as she looked down at her severed tail she felt something that resembled joy. She was free. She was finally free! She wrapped the stump of her tail in a wad of rags and was able to sneak towards the space-pod departure area. After bluffing her way in, she was able to steal a space pod and take off into the night.
It was shortly after she escaped Planet Vegeta that she was intercepted by another Saiyan attack ball near an asteroid field outside an unknown solar system. After hearing a constant barrage of threats from the other Attack Ball, Okora was filled with a fear she had only felt once before. She knew if she was captured and returned to Planet Vegeta she would most likely be tortured in ways she couldn't fathom and eventually executed. Her attack ball was forced into the asteroid field and was badly damaged. Okora knew her only chance of survival was to engage the ball's hibernation system which was the only system fully operational. With no sign of the pursuing attack ball, Okora prepared to activate the hibernation sequence when a sudden white light surrounded both her attack ball and unknown to her the other attack ball which had been attempting to wait for her outside the field. A moment later she felt the attack ball stop moving. She looked out the window and couldn't see a thing except for what appeared to be a sheet of what appeared to be very thick ice. She was also noticing to her discomfort that the temperature seemed to be dropping quite rapidly. She repeatedly tried to open the door to the pod but found herself failing and the temperature was still dropping. The pod was already badly damaged, was it possible she had somehow gotten stuck in an asteroid or something?
No. That couldn't be right.
Whatever was happening, it was getting colder by the moment and the pod was already damaged enough that she most likely wouldn't be able to keep her alive if she stayed conscious and she was pretty sure she was using up what oxygen the pod had let. It was at the moment that she made a fateful decision. She didn't have any other options at this point. Maybe someone would find the pod and rescue her if she stayed alive long enough. She activated the hibernation sequence and and prepare to wait for as long as the pod could keep her alive. She expected to wait a year, maybe a little longer.
Unfortunately for her. She was wrong.
After a few years, the pod's systems finally gave out but by that time it hardly mattered. It had gotten so cold that Okora's body had become frozen in a deep form of suspended animation. Her body functions had nearly stopped. The last thought that had gone through her mind was thinking how much she hated the cold.
RP Sample: "Face your fate, traitor!" Okora's face paled in horror as she heard a familiar voice come over the attack ball's speakers. The look of horror faded and was replaced with a look of grim determination. She would either die here in space or she would blow up the attack ball herself with her in it. She would not be brought back to Planet Vegeta. No one deserved the fate that awaited her. "Okora! You will surrender yourself and submit yourself to the judgement of King Vegeta or I'll blow your attack ball to bits!" Okora didn't bother responding as she saw a nearby asteroid field approach. The attack ball slowly turned towards the asteroid field and began to increase in speed.
"So it's suicide then? It's a shame. I would have liked to bring your body back to Planet Vegeta but I suppose we don't get what we want." The mocking voice echoed through the attack ball it shook and shuddered from constant small asteroid impacts. The light's in the pod began flickering wildly as it was hit by a rather large chunk of rock. "Severe damage to major systems." The computer's voice stated. Okora looked around in a panic. She could no longer see the other attack ball anywhere, for all she knew, the enforcer could be waiting for her to emerge from the field and blast her the second she showed. A single tear came to her eye as she considered her final option.
"Activate hibernation seque-." She didn't get a chance to finish the command as a white light seemed to flash all around her and at the same time the pod seemed to stop moving. What the hell just happened? She couldn't see anything outside the window. There we no more asteroids, no stars, no distant nebulas. It was just a faint sheet of white all around her. Okora shivered. Was it her imagination or was it getting colder? She tried to kick open the door repeatedly but it wouldn't budge at all. No matter she did it appeared she was going to be stuck in her pod for the time being. She was beginning to panic. The temperature was definitely dropping at a very fast pace now and frost was beginning to coat the pod's window.
Maybe someone will find me if I can buy myself more time.
She faced away from the window and shook her head. She hated the cold. She had always hated the cold, she didn't even like the hibernation sequence that much either and right now it might be the only thing that could buy her time enough to possibly be rescued.
"Activate hibernation sequence." She said quietly. She didn't dare let herself shed a tear. As this temperature it might freeze to her face. A moment later, she felt the hibernation system begin to engage.
I hate the cold. She thought as she finally fell into a dreamless sleep.
