After helping the South City Fishing Association, Clove returned to the South City Shipyard, where she received an invitation to a yacht offering a complimentary ride to West City. The invitation was part of the reward for finding the lures which was given to everyone who assisted on the task.
Clove wore black sunglasses on her face, her hair kept in a traditional high ponytail, and her usual designer silk cheongsam with kimono sleeves. While she would have liked to stay on the islands to set up her drink stand business, the World Martial Arts Tournament had begun gaining traction in the level of advertising to promote the grand event, and despite having two years to train she needed to head back to her condo in West City where she spent half a million investing into a state of the art training center.
Conserving her ki was one of the many ways the Tea Princess controlled her use of spiritual energy and she would never turn away the offer of a free ride back home. It would save the expense of using her energy to fly and relax while traveling. As she approached the ship, she immediately realized the reason the ride was free, it was endorsed by a new energy drink. The Director promoting the product introduced himself as Cabbage, a donkey beastman in a suit, he took the tea princess’ hand to help her board the ship, and congratulated her for winning the West City’s Women World Martial Arts Tournament.
The crew on board, were elated that their promotional commercial was going to be endorsed by a Tea Clan descendant who was also a champion in the city they have been marketing their product. The Fishing Association was sponsored by this company and had been giving away all expenses paid travel to winners of their monthly fishing competitions. While it could have been anyone that accepted the invitation, it was a treasure to have a martial artist such as Clove arrive this morning. In exchange for accepting the all expenses paid accommodations, the guests would be featured in the commercial advertisement.
“There is another guest arriving shortly, please feel free to order from the bar, and make yourself comfortable.” Cabbage motioned over to the bartender who was on situatuated on the deck of the yacht’s bridge.

Baccer was probably the most surprised out of the lucky patrons that got to ride the Yacht back to the west city. In reality, he'd never been inside a luxurious ship such as this before. Were some random lures really that important to these people?. In contrast to clove, the bio android was not some big-name martial artist and was practically unknown in the scene. However, the sheer fact he was... well... a Bug man, carried at least enough novelty to draw a couple of people towards him, asking questions and informing him about the advertisement shoot. In the beginning, he was rather apprehensive about it. After all, he'd left his RR mascot days behind him, and was not eager to go back to being a dancing, bug-shaped monkey
But things were not as simple it seemed, after a couple of days on the ship he understood that the company looking to hire him was actively invested in finding warriors to represent them on something called "the world martial arts tournament". Now, Baccer may not have been too familiar with the world around him, but something with that name seemed like precisely the set of circumstances he looked to inject himself into. An environment with the world's best, fighting for a spot at the top. The offer was too good to pass up, and thus he signed on, even if he was rather reluctant to
About a day later, things were getting set up, directors were screaming and extras were rehearsing the lines. Baccer.. well, he fount himself rather lost inside all of it. It wasn't his first ad shoot, but it was his lingering doubts made everything seem way more insurmountable than back in the RR. Was he feeling... insecurity?. Was this something all sapient beings experienced?. Darn, what use was an advanced brain if it could get tripped up this easily. Luckily, he bumped into someone that seemed way more confident about their place here. It was that lady he retrieved the lures with. Ca... Co... Clove!. Clove Tea. Hmm, that name seemed rather familiar. It reminded him of... tea... Well, that one was obvious but also of... octopus... Wait, now he remembered "Ohh, do you perhaps know of someone called Juniper tea?" he asked. Quite an odd sentence as far as apologies for bumping into someone go, but common courtesy was not exactly programmed into the Bugman. Besides, he hoped that name would indeed mean something to the esteemed martial artist, perhaps establish some common ground. That's how social interactions between humans worked, right?

The film crew were settling in for departure, it was typical behind the scenes disorganization of preparing for their upcoming shoot with the arrival of the martial artist candidates, and Director Cabbage primarily relied on their reputation as fighters that benefited the company in recruiting them for the advertisement. Clove ordered a drink at the bar, a lemon drop, and then turned to look down at a familiar face who asked her a question. For once, he did not have a multitude of questions like the first time she met Baccer, and she smiled at him for a brief moment before drinking from her glass.
“Ah. It is good to see you again.” She put the glass down on the counter top and took a seat on the bar stool, “Take a seat and order something, our trip is around two hours by sea, so you might want to get comfortable.” Crimson eyes observed the teen through her black sunglasses and she finally answered after removing them from her face, “Juniper Tea is my younger sister, she is also heir to the Tea Clan, do you know each other well?”
The tea princess recollected the whereabouts of her sister being limited to their homeland and the Central lands. Any conversation they shared over their c-phones was limited to family affairs, Juniper was not the type to describe a person of a different species, she treated everyone with equal regard, and it some way Clove was the same. The world view of demons was not a positive one, it was similar to the treatment of namekians, and there were demons out there causing trouble for earthlings that continued the bad reputation of her kind. Tea clan was an exception, they were well known among the Pig Demon Duchies, and to a few outside the western lands.
“So our all expenses paid trip to West City has a catch, in the contract we are to be filmed for the promotional advertisement of a new energy drink, which is sponsoring the World Martial Arts Tournament. I just so happen to be the Champion of the Women’s West City World Martial Arts Tournament. One of the contestants was gravely injured, so I was unable to finish the uninjured final opponent, so I actually share my title with her as well.” She took another sip of her drink and looked in the mirror which was the backsplash of the bar.
“So, tell me your name again? In all the excitement of diving in the water for a couple of fishing lures, I did not catch your name but you did mention RR… Red Ribbon Army? I have heard about the company from my grandfather, I understand they were instrumental in defeating King Piccolo’s army, and protecting the earth from further invasions. A few of the duchies were impressed and thought about keeping a few of those soldiers as vassals. However, my grandfather implored that we should preserve our heritage and our way of life through martial arts. Where I am from, in the Western lands, we use our hands, and swords to fight. Not tanks and guns like the red ribbon army. From what I understand, not everyone from RR uses the latest tech to fight, and I imagine you’re one of them?”
At this point, Clove had little experience with androids, and she did not think Baccer was one since he seemed like an ordinary living being in her eyes. “Why are you interested in entering the WMAT?” [569] [1,384/2,000]

As he expected, the woman he bumped into seemed calm and collected. She definitely looked the part of an advertisement model. Well. He also did, but more on the "show freak" kind of sense. Nevertheless, he sat as she suggested and ordered a soda. He liked those, sugar was his favourite substance to consume. So much energy packed into such a small space. Plus, it tasted great. But culinary preferences were not exactly the topic right now. As the bug had suspected, the two tea princesses were connected "Well, i wouldn't say i know her well. We've met once just a few days after i left the army, sparred, and then ate sushi. It was real fun overall" he explained, seeming quite enthralled to meet Juniper's sister. Family was something he was always curious about, given he didn't have any. The RR did tell him about a prototype that was made long ago, but all records of the previous bio-android were all but lost. Would the prototype be considered his "brother" if they were still around?
But baccer didn't exactly have time to ponder that right now, as more information seemed to be heading his way, courtesy of clove. She confirmed what the company told hm, the fact there would be an ad shot and that had something to do with a big tournament. As it turned out, Clove was a turnament winner herself. That definitely impressed Baccer, as he had to wonder just how strong his companion was "Hmm. I knew about the ad, but that is definitely fascinating. I also want to be able to win a tournament one day" he said with an energetic smile, showing his eager and combat-loving nature
Despite that, the next question seemed to plunge him into contemplation. His red ribbon days were not exactly unpleasant, but this was so much more fun, thinking about them once more was not exactly a top priority for him "Well. I guess the most accurate comparison would be to say I am something akin to these "tanks and guns" you were talking about..." he said cryptically through a nervous smile.
Then came a rather... unorthodox question... why he wanted to enter the tournament. Well, that was quite easy to answer. He wanted to fight, become stronger. It was nothing more or nothing less than that... Right?. Well... There was also one more thing "I... i would like to meet strong people... and see if I truly belong among them..." he knew he was more powerful than most people, which already made him odd. But if he was an oddity even among the powerful ones... maybe he was indeed something foreign, something that this world can't accommodate for and doesn't need. Something that shouldn't have been created in the first place...

Clove listened to his explanation of how he met Juniper, she chuckled at the fact that they ate sushi, she knew her sister could not cook, it was Hachi that kept her alive while they traveled and yet they still had a good time together after their first meeting to leave an everlasting impression. The rest of the conversation carried on normally, a brow was raised when Baccer described that he was the epitome of what RR were known for. “Strange, when I grabbed your hand under water, you still felt like flesh and blood to me. Tanks are cold metal that have a cannon and armor. Guns shoot bullets, most of them stray, and endanger other unsuspecting targets. I do not understand what you mean, sure, you can probably fire a ki blast but most martial artists can do that, you don’t have to define yourself as a gun or tank because of that.”
