As the two heroes returned with the carrots they were assigned to get, as the carrots were taken away so that the farmers trapped inside can be released, the lady at the desk was beginning to sign up some documents she then got a call, Will could hear from the call that she sounded frustrated. As she hang up the phone she then look to Will and Bass as if she had a realization and she went back to her usual calm demeanor.
"It's a good thing you managed to finish that job as quickly as you could, we have another one that may be a bit more difficult for you guys," she said.
"Difficult in what way exactly?" Will asked.
"Well you see it's like this, in the mushroom forests there has been this reoccurring problem of a unique mushroom that has been growing and sucking the nutrients out of everything around it including some people. We can't let something like that persist in land our by Pialf Corp, we had some people take care of it before but it seems a new one was grown from it's spores. Can you take care of it for us? You'll both need to sign a non disclosure agreement before" she said.
"If it's something that can drain us like that we must be extremely careful when facing it, it's mycelium is probably what it's using to drain everything around it so we must be careful not to be caught by it, for all we know it could be able to protect itself. It may be best to have Bass on my side since he would be in less danger of me being completely drained. That is if he wants to accept this job," Will thought.
Will then turned his head up to face Bass.
"What do you say Bass, surely this job might be more exciting then plucking some carrots right?" Will said.
He then waited for Bass's response before accepting himself. Though even if Bass says no Will would accept the mission anyway.

Figures, first it was carrots and then it was mushrooms. His comment on vending machines attacking people seemed more likely by the minute. With the little briefing that the worker gave, things seemed fairly simple. After all, Bass could sustain his ki even when all of his 'channels' or whatever Kiryu called them had been blocked by his attacks. He had a monstrous amount of ki at his disposal, some kind of innate capability of his. Besides, getting a farm of his own as a reward for this mission enticed him as to what the reward for this one would be.
Looking over to Will he gave a small shrug. "Exciting wouldn't necessarily be the first thing that comes to mind. Though today's my off day, so it doesn't hurt to have more things to do. It's like taking an interactive nap." He said as he turned towards the door. Just as he'd gotten towards the frame he paused. Reaching an index finger and his middle finger of his right hand towards his temple, he pressed them into his forehead and closed his eyes.
"With that being said, I'll see you there buddy." Bass said before in a blinking sound, he was just gone. Absolutely no trace of him, and to the ki sensitive people like Will, his signature transferred over towards the forest they were supposed to go to investigate the problem. It wasn't as if he'd find this thing right away. He could sense it's ki, but to actually transmit on top of it would be a little reckless to say the least. Even Humans don't play with insects or else they risk getting stung or envenomed. So he shouldn't toy around with or underestimate this thing.
Patrolling the forest, he surveyed it closely. Tall stalks with mushroom caps, it was strange to have a canopy so thoroughly covered up yet not have much vision obscured below. After all, the stalks of the mushrooms didn't really have an abundance of leaves that would normally block line of sight. Instead the rows and rows of pillar like stalks randomly halted some areas of vision while he could see far into the dark in other ways. In particular, he could sense the creature moving about half a kilometer within. Letting out a grunt, the Black Heart Namekian opted to just relax while he waited for the cat sage. While confident he could handle this single handedly, he respected a martial artists pride to contribute- especially when a reward would be handed out. So stepping just out of the initial rows of fungal trees, Bass dropped down onto his back and laid there watching the sky.
Raising his other arm, he checked the time on his watch.

Will was going to reply at Bass' comment before like that he was gone leaving both Will and the lady confused. That was until Will sensed over in the area they are supposed to be in. There was no way he could have traveled there that quickly then Will remembered the strange hand gesture he did before blinking out of existence. "Ah I see, he used some kind of special technique to teleport there. He certainly has been busy to have picked that up since I last saw him," Will thought. "Nya ha hahaha! That Namekian sure is full of surprises. Alright, I'll accept this mission, just let me sign here," Will said. After signing the non-disclosure agreements Will ran off like an orange and black and white blur before hopping on his Flying Nimbus flying over to where Bass was. "Amazing how big some mushrooms can get huh? I know a bit about fungus since I read a book about that so I would know which ones are poisonous and which ones are not. Useful to know for when you are out in the wild, although you're a Namekian you only need water. By the way that was an interesting technique you did back there, did you made that up yourself, or did someone taught it to you?" Will said. After stretching he started to walk calmly through the forest while walking they noticed some of the mushrooms are dried up and as he sees these he notices various mycelium, which are the roots of mushrooms, sprouting out of the ground and covering some of the other mushrooms and sprawled out on the forest ground like a patch of bramble. They pulsate like veins as it seems that something being flown through them. Most likely the nutrients and life energy that is being sucked from the other mushrooms. Will then begins to hover over the ground and the various mycelium on the ground. He doesn't want to risk touching one of them. However, as he is flying his cat ears hears something crawl as he sees a mycelium tentacle try to reach up from behind, oh perfect it appears to have some awareness, as Will smacks it away with his staff. Various tentacles rise to grab Will as he quickly flies past. It seems it went from predator mode to self-defense mode as it seems to be going after Will. With some of the tentacles slowly crawling along the ground to reach Bass. Ready to suck him of his life energy and nutrients to feed the nearby mushroom menace.

Laying there and catching some rays, Bass didn't imagine it would take all that long for Will to show up. After all he'd always seemed to have that fluffy Nimbus to zip around on. The Namekian never asked why he didn't just fly, but it was something that he'd always had on the back of his mind. When the cat sage landed and started speaking Bass said up and listened. Raising a brow at the final question, a small smirk formed over his expression.
"See, I'd be more than willing to share when we had more time to just sit and talk. Though it's a long story, maybe another time. To sate your curiosity I'll say a bit of both for now." He stated, twisting about as he turned and got up to his feet. Stretching his back and letting out a yawn that showed his sharpened teeth, his gaze eventually came to settle on the forest ahead of them.
"Just about everything can get big on Earth, but most of those can't be related to a mold infestation of epic proportions. Being a normal person would be pretty miserable around this place, can't even clean the stuff. As for the water thing, yeah, that's all I need. I still like some tasty food once in a while though." He'd say- elaborating a little further. Walking into the treeline behind Will, he felt the powerlevel long before he saw the tendrils. When will sprung into actions as the limbs lashed out at him, that was his queue to handle his end of the situation as well.
Turning towards the vines lacing through the grass towards him, there was a look of something between pity and annoyance over his expression. A downwards glare that reeked of condescension towards a creature so vile and twisted. Could it be a monster? Demon? What would lead such a purposeless existence- not much immediately came to mind. It reminded him of his goals to make Earth a more efficient planet, he called it World Domination at the start, but the truth was he meant he wanted to be in control of global decisions. A leader of a sorts.
Whatever seemed to be in control of these tendrils noticed that Bass had picked up on it, and the tendrils around him lashed out like whips. Yet the Namekian was terrifyingly sharp, keenly sensing the movements of the relatively speaking slow fungal roots around him. When one tried to wrap around him to begin draining energy a chop shaped hand physically sliced through it, sending the digit retreating into the woodlands.
"Wait, I think I figured it out." Bass said, and then it became clear as to what he meant in the next moments. When the tentacles started whipping at and around him, the Namekian started to zip left and right as he ducked, weaved around and jumped over the vines to dodge them. It seemed he was making it a game to avoid the attacks, after all so many at once made it an interesting concept to explore for a training exercise.
Yet it was futile, he wasn't even breaking a sweat. Perhaps the level of training he'd subjected himself to elsewhere had made this laughably pitiful in comparison. At least so far. Realizing this, he began to raise an arm that pointed into the fungal forest- likely sensing the source of the power and the target of his upcoming energy attack.

As most of the parasitic mycelium tendrils were trying in vain to get a grip on Bass, Will was trying to dodge as many of these as he can, he weaves around various stalks of dried up giant mushrooms. The various tendrils weaving over each other, until Will started looping under and over some. He kept doing various maneuvers such as this until the tendrils became tangled and stopped a few inches away from Will's face as it tries to free itself from the many knots it got itself in. Not the first time Will did a trick like that before, but last time it was with a giant snake, though it's good to know it works on parasitic fungus tentacles too. He then looked to see how Bass was doing and was caught in awe, mostly because he has a hard time keeping up himself. "What has Bass been doing since I've seen him last? He was powerful before, but this is new. Maybe I can get him to teach me a thing or two, I could get even stronger than I was thirteen years ago," Will thought. As Bass' attack makes it's way to the main threat, a giant mushroom that appears to be moving on its own, various tendrils appear from the ground to form a large barrier around it. The tendrils then literally absorb the energy attack as the already large mushroom began to grow even larger then it has before. As it begins to tower over the entire Mushroom Forest, two large tendrils appear from its sides as makeshift arms. As one of them tries to grab Will, he uses his claws to slice a part of it off. The tentacle reels back as if the mushroom reacted from the pain. It then appears as if it was turning its "face" towards Bass below it. It then slowly brought up its other large tendril to smack Bass. "Bass, it just absorbs energy attacks, we need to find another approach to destroy this thing!" Will shouted. Trying to come up with something Will seeing as how Will's claws managed to cut through it he calls upon his Flying Nimbus and jumps on it. While he can fly normally it can't compare to the speed of his cloud. He begins cutting through the various tendrils around the area. The mushroom notices this and then quickly changes its target as it slams it's right arm at Will. As the giant tentacle arm loomed above him he noticed a large shadow forming on the ground as he looked up to see what was about crush him into the earth. He then stomps his right foot harder on the Flying Nimbus like hitting a gas pedal as the cloud begins to fly even faster as he manages to barely miss the giant tentacle as it slams into the ground crushing of the dried giant mushroom trees, their spores making a cloud obscuring most of the forest. The giant mushroom then begins to thrash it's arm tentacles in the air almost like it's showing anger. Whatever caused this thing to become like this it seems to be of the same intelligence as a feral beast. Only seeking to consume, grow, and preserving its own life.

Watching as his energy beam fired out from his hand, he blinked. Was he being too lackluster? He didn't have any intent to fire quiet yet, but... On the contrary it was just a matter of time. Regardless of the means to the end as the attack impacted the figure deep within the forest it became much less obscure and much more Kaiju. Watching it rise up higher into the air, the Namekian just let out a long. "Uuuuuh..." In between zipping through various whipping attacks.
Just as the growth finished, one of the massive tendrils rose up and started to swing towards him. It might've easily looked like he got crushed, as he blinked out of the attack just milimeters away from colliding with it. As the spores and dust were kicked up through the forest and he heard Wills voice, he called back. "I think I got the picture! At least this makes it a little more satisfying, but I think with this it's about time we start finishing this thing. Last I checked you're a fan of the Kamehameha wave yeah? I'm sure you know it's useless, so I don't mind if you leave this one to me." He said as the flailing continued.
He could tell that Will just barely avoided getting struck, the cat sage didn't have as many get out of jail free cards as he did. Though he could certainly take quite a beating if he needed to. Though if Bass truly had a talent, it was being a ki generator of epic proportions. He had too much of the stuff to go around, and in recent times he'd been learning to control it more acutely. Looking to Will he gave himself a nod, it was go time. Turning back and zipping to the side of a smaller tentacle as it whipped himself, the Namekian started floating up and back to avoid the strikes more passively. Raising a single hand above his head a massive ball of ki began to form, easily the size of a house.
Though it didn't remain that way, condensing tighter and tighter, it compacted to a smaller and smaller size until the massive sphere was the size of a baseball. True to the size reference, the ki orb was clasped in the Namekians hand and his body recoiled into a pitchers stance, whipping the signature energy attack not at the creature- no, he whipped it into the sky above the creature. "QUASAR PITCH!" The Namekian shouted, a way of helping him exert the power needed to fire that one off. The intention wasn't to try and hit it, the energy attack was supposed to be bait.
And true to the epic energy signature the attack gave, the mushrooms attention shifted to the bright shining star in the sky and tendrils started to reach towards it. As the attention shifted from the both of them momentarily, the Namekian took this as his chance. He disappeared again, some sort of blinking sound indicating the use of that technique he'd learned. He appeared right next to the massive mushroom. With all of his might he let out a roar and slammed a fist forward, making sure that the ki used to empower the attack was flowing from the parts that weren't touching the monster, but rather his bicep and shoulder.
As his fist dug in, his hands gripped a chunk of fungal flesh and as the mighty roar continued he lifted with all the power he could muster. Roots tore and snapped, tendrils writhed and before it knew what was happening it was in the air and plummeting back down towards the Earth as Bass had spiked it towards the ground. Colliding with the fungal forest floor, cracks formed all around the environment and rocks went flying left and right. Yet the creature seemed to bounce back, an intended result as part of the technique that let Bass repeat the spike with even greater force as he slammed down on the slowly rising monster. Crashing into it, Bass drilled the fungal monstrosity as deep as that massive body would allow, almost completely submerging it in the cracked and broken ground. The movement had stilled, and the Namekian started to rise up.
Wiping his chin, he could still sense power in the monster. "It's not done yet. Get ready." The Namekian said as the ground started to rumble and the wounded monster started to wrestle itself from the stony prison Bass had driven it into.

Will couldn't believe what he was seeing, first the powerful condensed ball of energy that Bass threw so quickly it was like a blur to Will. And then him launching the massive mushroom menace up into the air and slamming it down into the ground. To be able to knock around something of that size and weight like it was nothing. Will definitely needs to have Bass tell him how he managed to get so strong while they have time to talk. Now is not the time to do that, as it appears the mushroom monster is up to something. As it lay in the crater as a crumbled mushroom, it then proceeds to plant its tentacles in the ground as all mushroom trees around it in a large radius. Reducing every mushroom tree to dust as the parasitic mushroom starts to reassemble itself into a giant amorphous mass of fungal matter it rises out of the crater. It soon starts to grow a large sinister eye and various holes open under its eye as a makeshift mouth as it begins to let out a large roar that can be heard for miles. Various birds fly away from the sound as the many animals that do live in this forest flee in terror. The slime mold covering its body starts to become several small heads with similar mouths, albeit with two piercing red eyes. "It's beginning to mutate!" Will yelled at Bass. He is not as strong as Bass is, but he can certainly try. His Kamehameha is useless, but he does have his staff still, and it grew a very large eye that he can exploit as a weak spot. He then begins to fly around it, knocking off the various slime molds heads along the way. He then grips his staff in two hands, gets right in front of the eye, which stares at him with intense anger. And Will swings his staff with all of his might right into the eye. The mushroom monster begins to writhe in pain as it shuts it's eye and begins to flail blindly. With his Nimbus' speed Will manages to dodge every one of its attacks. It certainly has gotten stronger, but not faster. While Will didn't that much damage it does appear to be distracted, but how can they kill this thing? Mushrooms are notoriously hard to get rid of. They are even able to adapt to colder and warmer environments so it may not work to drop it in the northern regions. Wait, cold, there is one cold place he can think of that nothing can live in. As Will looks up to the sky he remembers how Bass managed to knock the monster around with ease and got an idea.
"Quick, Bass, end this now! Knock this thing into orbit!" Will relayed to Bass. Word Count: 460

The Namekian just seemed to stare at the massive roaring monstrosity with a half interested gaze. Gone was any misconceptions that this was just a monster; no. Clearly this was a biological weapon developed by forces unknown intended to destroy the Earth. It was a ticking timebomb, and of course it would be his luck to run into it on his day off. As move tendrils flailed, the Namekian didn't really seem to have a problem avoiding it. After all, size didn't mean speed, and despite how large it had become it if anything took longer to swing and manipulate it's own weight.
When he heard Will, a vein popped to the surface of his forehead, a brief expression of irritation that faded as he tried to keep his cool. As it stood, this was more terrifying than the Shark, the things Kiryu and him fought deep within the Earth long lost and hidden away. It might even be more terrifying than Piccolo Daimao, because he wasn't able to become stronger from some of the most powerful techniques Earth's fighters have to offer. Even disregarding that fact, it just grew bigger and angrier when dealt some of the biggest physical hits Earth's fighters could manage as well.
To say the Namekian was surprised that such a universal calamity would find itself in the backyard of a corporation that runs an amusement park would be a laughable understatement. Bass had said he didn't go into fights with assumptions, but he used reason to gauge the threat. And this was... This monster didn't abide by reason. The Namekian just spoke to respond to the cat sage.
"I uh, if it could eat that there's not much else I can hit it with. Seems like we should probably had just gone home. It was hard enough to heave that thing into the ground the first time, punching it into space is impossible. You're lucky you came on this job with me, you'd be dead, and Earth would follow shortly after. I have a plan, just... Keep your distance." The Black Hearted Namekian said. Rubbing the back of his neck, the fact of the matter was unfortunately he didn't have the time to figure out a solution through brute force. He had to play along to just suffocating this thing in the vacuum of space. Maybe this was Schrodinger's Calamity, if they'd never taken this mission it would've just been a neighbourhood pest for a while.
"Ugh. Fuck it." The Namekian cursed, drifting towards the monster. When a tendril lashed out at him Bass just swerved alongside the heaving limb, which crashed into the ground and caused a local rumbling through the environment. When he got up to the body Bass pressed a hand into it and closed his eyes. His other hand went up to his forehead in the same way as before. In another moment, where there was devastation there was absolutely nothing.
Way, way up above in the sky, through the clouds and in space if Will remained where he was, seemed to be something that from his distance would seem to be the size of a coin. It seemed to de-saturate as it was flash frozen, suffocated and just... Spaced. All of the terrors space could throw at it hit it at once. On Bass's end, he just had to use his run of the mill Teleport ability the instant he used Instant Transmission to zip back into the highest levels of the atmosphere. From there, he just started to fly down.
Approaching Will, Bass spoke. "Let's go back." Flying passed, the Namekian returned to the Pilaf Corporation for his rightful payment. No complaints to be made at the office, because it was probably in the fine print. WC: 628MWC: 4,180
