Once again, Ahri was snooping around the Southern Lands. Always looking for something new. Always looking for a challenge. Always looking for a fight. It was the third time that week that Ahri had left the city and searched around the region. She had felt that the city had nothing more to offer her, so she had to look for other means if training elsewhere. In fact, the most notable incident that took place in the city would probably be her chance encounter with that pink demon child called Zam. To think that a mere child, a mere demon, had been the most powerful for she had faced in the past month. Several times before, Ahri had felt random power spikes around the city, and now she was planning to investigate. However, as she walked around looking for something or somebody who could challenge her, she felt more and more sure that there was no one out here in the forest. The afternoon sun was alarmingly hot as always, and Ahri was out it the forest, bearing it as she searched around for nothing specific. The tall, toned woman could only look around at this point, listening to the random sounds made by the animals which resided in the forest, along with the occasional rustling of bushes. "Why is there nothing out here!?"
She'd shout rather loudly, even causing the birds in the trees around her to become frightened, taking flight to avoid being possibly poached. A low growl crept it's way into Ahri's ears as she looked towards the source of the sound. It happened to be a rustling bush. Ahri responded to the growl with a burst of bright, white, ki, demolishing a lot of the greenery around her, including the bushes and trees. She might need to work on the range of that attack.... Ahri eventually grew weary of searching, and decided that now would be a good time to train. She flared her ki and aura, powering up to her full power, before beginning to shadowbox.

”Zaaaam!” Shell shouted into the city, hunting for the tiny pink demon who was supposed to stay with Big Green when they were in the city. It was like herding cats. She’d run off, probably after na actual cat, and the namekian was at his wits end trying to track her down before she killed somebody. “I swear, this girl will give me a heat attack before I’m 50…” Shell growled to nobody in particular. He was about to go up and use energy blasts to signal her, a sort of last resort because Zam usually responded to energy blasts with wanton destruction (under the idea that it was ‘playtime’) when he felt a power spike out of control beyond the edge of the city. “How did she? I swear…” Shell complained, turning to collect his gooey pink monster child.
He didn’t find her.
“Zam! What did I tell you about sneaking off while we’re in the city!?” Shell’s voice burst through the brush before he did, “You’re gonna make me do the hand-holding thing again, like when you were a baby, if you don’t-” Shell finally pushed through enough to see, not a pink majin monster, but instead a normal human girl who was powering up and attacking some trees. He cut off his words immediately, a tenseness running through his body. Primarily because Shell was not cuddly or “normal looking”. He had a crown of bone on his brow, horns pointing up into the air. Red eyes glared with a dark light. His left arm was encased in a chitinous shell with wicked looking barbs spiking off of it. And his skin was darker than the “traditional” namekian bodies humans and saiyans had gotten used to living besides. Everything about Shell screamed danger, and he was used to people over-reacting when he appeared suddenly. Only this girl was easily as strong as Zam, if not more. An over-reaction from her would be...most unfortunate.
“You’re not who I was looking for…” Shell said, trying to break the tension. His voice had a husky quality to it, but still the lightness of his youth. Despite being fully grown, as demon clan namekian tended to do so quickly, Shell was still a viciously young namekian. He’d be a “youth” for a century or so more before anyone in namekian circles took him seriously. “...but you’re interesting nonetheless.” A feral sort of interest took root in his heart. Someone strong. He smirked enough to show fangs. “How’d you get so strong, human?”

As Ahri's aura danced and flared around her body, she noticed a ki signature flying directly towards her. It travelled rather quickly, and before she even got the chance to process what was happening, the ki signature landed in the overgrowth located to her left. As she was automatically turning towards that direction, she was momentarily shocked. She had been in the forest searching for another fighter for hours. Then this massive power level popped out of nowhere. It was definitely above average, hovering at around one thousand, slightly smaller than her own power level. Finally! Another fighter! It's been so long since I've had a good fight! As the person in question was approaching her, Ahri heard shouting, guessing that the fighter was male, judging by his voice. As he shouted, the toned woman heard a single word that sent her train of thought into a frenzy. Zam....Woah, what? This guy personally knows Majin Zam?!
The very same demon that Ahri had first encountered when she had first arrived at the city! The very same demon that had given Ahri a run for her money in her fight with the child! The very same demon she left unconscious on the side of the road! This guy knew her personally? She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. This guy didn't know that she wasn't Zam, but she wasn't sure if Zam had told anyone else about the fight they had. The truth was that Zam had spread a rumor in the demon villages about her, and Ahri didn't have a clue. The demons were wary of a 'fierce and powerful oni'.... and Ahri was the one being talked about. After a bit more shouting and rustling of the bush, the man finally revealed himself to the female fighter. As it turned out, it wasn't a human being. It was a green alien like creature which possessed long, pointed ears and a set if antennae. It was a Namekian. The very same race the Great Demon King Piccolo had originated from. Ahri, realizing this, tried to keep her cool, doing so successfully. She was still stronger than him, and could probably take him in a fight, which was exactly what she planned to do. The Namek threw a question at her, which she answered with little to no hesitation. "Hard work, training, practice, is it truly a secret?"
She spoke as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, flexing her muscles as she said so, not caring if her comment would offend the Namekian in any way. Although after she was finished talking, she flashed a grin at the demonic looking Namekian. "Y'know, I've been searching for a powerful opponent to fight for hours, and you are a good option. So how about this, let's have a good, old fashioned spar. First to lose consciousness loses."
And with that, she flared her aura once more, enveloping her body in an eerie holy white glow, causing a rather strong gust of wind to blow against the trees and greenery around them. She mentally prepared herself for a fight. It was time to get busy.

”No, I supposed its not,” Shell said, stepping fully into the little clearing. She had found a nice spot to train...if she had an opponent. Alone there was no equipment, no weight factor. It was just..boring alone. “I don’t usually do spars,” Shell answered. His battle experience was a bit more embarrassing. He usually fired at helpless civilians or laughably pathetic human police officers. He had to admit that it was the sort of work that would never make him strong enough to defeat Daimao. And perhaps his father wanted it that way. Learning to battle one-on-one, with a potential, no, definitely more powerful opponent, would make the eventual showdown with his father easier. It would be experience he didn’t really have yet. So far everyone was weaker than him, even if he had fought them one-on-one. Except maybe Zam, but she never really fought against him unless he denied her candy.
“But I’ll make an exception for such a strong opponent. I’m afraid I might not be the sport you were looking for, though. I can practically feel the difference between us.” Shell shrugged, “But I’ll put up as good a fight as I can muster. I’m not very good at holding back, though.” As if to demonstrate, Shell reached to his hip and drew a long sword. It’s blade was solid black, and its handle was as ornate as any ceremonial sword ever was, with a straight guard. The entire sword had an almost eerie effect, and Shell swung it around a bit before settling into a stance with it raised over his head, defensively.
Unlike Ahri, when Shell began to unleash the pressure of his Ki, it seemed to spike out of him, purple white and shot through with little cackles of electricity. Demon energy. It surged through him, was a part of him, and tainted his ki. He powered up as far as he thought was safe to draw out, but still he felt a gulf between them, if somewhat lessened. As if sensing it wouldn’t be enough, Shell lifted to fingers in front of his stance.
In front of his body, a purple-white half dome appeared. Purple, undiluted energy, it pulled back like cellophane until it coated his entire body. For a moment he looked glossy with the energy, surrounding him and clinging to him form. Then the energy faded. To a normal person, that energy was gone as if it had never been. To someone adept as sensing energy, it would coat him like a protective halo, defending his body from harm.
“Brace yourself, girl,” he said with a joyful smirk. Then he leapt off, pushing forward with one foot. He spun gracefully in the air, sword a wide arc, intending to slice right across her chest, just below the collarbones. Normally he aim for the throat, but this a spar, so he adjusted mid motion. The sword was still sharp as ever, though, and a good slice would draw blood immediately.
Shell’s top-like twirl ended, and he immediately put a second hand on the blade, thrusting it forward towards Ahri’s left arm, hoping to disable a limb or slow her down before she could bring her awesome strength to bear against him.
Battle, it would seem, was joined.

The Namekian would take Ahri up on her offer, though he doubted his power when it was stacked up against Ahri's. There was a fair difference, between them, yes, however, that didn't mean that the Namekian was totally helpless. Battle experience had aided her in her fight with Majin Zam, despite being weaker than the demon was. The man drew a long, black, sharp sword from his hip, swimming it around a bit as if to test it's durability. "Woah, dangerous."
They were supposed to be having a mere spar, but the Namekian drew a lethal weapon that looked like it was crafted from katchin, the strongest metal in the known universe. Any slice from that sword we wielded, could easily draw a good amount of blood. This guy was truly serious. Ahri was now more cautious of the man, since the Namekian had a weapon and she didn't. She even became slightly afraid because of sparring with him if this was how he went about things. Her serious facial expression betrayed her thoughts, as she furrowed her eyebrows, keeping eye contact at all times. The Namek ignited his purple and white aura, with sparks of electricity flying out, seemingly threatening whatever comes close enough to the Namek. He seemed.... dangerous.... As expected of a Namekian. His energy was surrounding his body, building a protective layer around him. He was definitely ready to fight. His first action was to swing his sword in a wide arc, aiming to slice the skin covering the female's collarbone. Ahri ducked down low, with the longsword slicing the air above her head, then sidestepped the following stab. The Namekian had the quickness, preciseness and strength of a professional swordsman, and Ahri doubted if she could stand against him, even if she had a sword. "Oh, so you wanna play with the sword? I'm not gonna stop you, but don't think I'll hold back, either!"
She charged towards the green creature, with her right fist beginning to glow, leaving a trail of white ki behind it. The fist would be swung at full force towards the Namek's face, threatening to leave a dent on his forehead. Whether the attack hit or miss, she would turn sideways, moving with the momentum of the punch, to ram herself into the sword wielder, with her elbow sticking out, pointed towards his stomach.

Shell’s attacks were side-stepped, and his enemy sort of danced around him. It was frustrating, but the Namekina had told his enemy he didn’t think he could put up much of a fight. Still, he hadn’t expected his opening salvo to be completely useless. It made him frustrated. But then again, this was why he was doing this. Against civilians that would’ve killed two people. But against a single, well-trained opponent...he’d have to step his game up. Get more creative. He vaguely wondered about employing the demon energy in his arm, but decided against it. Training without the demon power would sharpen all of his senses, meaning when he finally unleashed it, he’d be that much stronger. No, this was a battle of fine-tuning the details, not trying to overwhelm with power. So Shell tried to shore up his confidence when the girl danced away from his attacks, sure that his two layers of protection would keep him safe.
The girl’s attack took him by surprise. He was certain his barrier would hold. And it did, but the girl’s hands passed through it like it wasn’t there, and uncovered surprise flickered over the Namekian’s feature for a sharp half a second before the impact rocked him, throwing the man off his feet, skull leading the way as he sailed back and flipped ass over end in the grass. He was surprised he managed to hold onto his sword and not slice himself to pieces with it as he staggered back up to his feet. He spat a glob of purple blood from his mouth, staining the green grass with the thin, alien fluid. He was breathing heavily, little grunts punctuating his movements as he recovered from that wallop of an attack he wasn’t prepared for. “What on earth was that?” he asked, eyes alight with degrees of curiosity and ferocity, “Because I promise you it was nothing from Namek.” He chuckle at that, a slight alien joke. ‘What on earth…’ implying it couldn’t come from somewhere else. “You sure you’re an Earthling? Because that felt...not.” Shell cracked his neck, twisting his head from side to side. Namekian heads twisted further than human heads, so the whole appearance was slightly bizarre.
He dropped back down into his stance, trying to formulate a new plan on the fly that involved not relying on the shield he’d erected. Nor the one attached to his wrist. This girl had single handedly taken away both of his defensive advantages without even meaning to. It meant this was no longer just a power gap that threatened to overwhelm him. This girl was in a whole different league. He glanced nervously at his arm, contemplating its use with this new information. But he decided against it, sticking firm to his decision. He’d win with skill alone, and damn Daimao’s power.
Instead of closing the distance between them, Shell decided he’d try to take her by surprise. He pulled back and swung his black-bladed sword from a good thirty yards away. As he did, his arm began to expand, stretching the teal-colored skin across the field, so his diagonal upward slash became more like a massive whip, the katchin sword at the front tip, aiming to slice cleanly across the girl’s torso. Maybe targeting an arm was too small. He’d focus on just getting a hit in, that was his goal right now, and torso’s were the largest target. So he swiped the extended arm and the sword in a diagonal slash from Ahri’s right hip to left shoulder. Then he growled a little and the arm warped and flexed, a second diagonal slash dropping from above in a slash from right shoulder to left hip. If both attacks hit, they would leave a bright, bleeding ‘x’ across her front. Shell had to hope that the crazy attack vectors and the surprise of the extended arm was enough to net him some cheap sucker punches. It was practically all he had against the might of that ki and that intense attack power.
He tried not to let on that his head was still spinning from that punch, or that he didn’t think he could weather another one. His focus now was on avoiding the tougher hits, anything wrapped in that white ki, and using his barrier to soak up anything smaller than that. It seemed like she didn’t always bust out that move. So he still had a chance, slim though it might be.

One punch was almost all it took to completely devaste the opponent she was facing against. Her fist seemed to sink into the Namek's forehead, knocking him completely backwards with such sheer force, that he flipped, landing in the grass. He struggled to pick himself up, coughing up purple blood, splattering it all over the earth's floor. Ahri didn't even respond to the alien's joke, until he had asked her that question. Was she really a human? She was certainly stronger than the average human. The solid abs which laid on her midriff, and the muscular arms and legs she possessed said that much. This type of progression was almost improbable. She had gained all that muscle through training, and training only. Not through drugs, magic, or any other unnatural means. It was her natural muscle, despite how unlikely it seems. She hadn't been training for around 10 years for nothing. "Yes. Correct. I am a human. What makes you think that I'm not?"She felt underwhelmed. She had been a bit nervous when this fight had started, but the fight was already almost finished. And she was currently winning. By a long shot. It was all over before it had begun. Ahri was simply stronger. And she was gonna be the strongest. The Namekian had finally gotten himself together, and Ahri prepared herself for any sudden attack from her foe. She had expected the green alien to charge towards her, like any other normal fighter would. However, that didn't happen. The Namekian swung his sword wielding arm backwards, then swung it forward. His arm stretched to an extremely long length as it flew forward, causing the katchin blade to reach her midriff, threatening to cleanly slice her pale skin open. Ahri was surprised by this sudden, unexpected action, and bewilderedly jumped backwards as quickly as possible, trying to avoid the wide sweep of the sword. However, her attempts were in vain, as the sword had found it's target. The sword cut through her skin, causing a small cry of pain to leak out from her mouth. Never before had she been cut by a sword, and she didn't expect it to harm her this much. Because Ahri had jumped backwards, however, the bright, red, bleeding cut wasn't as deep as it could've been. But it still hurt like hell.
The sword was swung again in the same motion, although this time, Ahri was prepared. She twisted her body to the left, narrowly avoiding the tip of the blade. She had completely forgotten about the Namekians' ability to stretch their body, allowing them to make melee attacks from range. The cut on her midriff burned as if it was on fire, as she clutched her stomach.
That's gonna leave a scar....
Ahri was angry. She had been given a new scar by the alien in front of her, and it was because he had used a weapon. Her aura burst aflame, accompanied by a powerful gust of wind and a heavenly white glow. Her hands balled up into fists which were clenched, her teeth grinded against each other and her muscles were flexed. Eyes flashing with anger, she used her right fist to punch her left palm, with both hands glowing white. "Don't push your luck, Namek."
Charging forward, she attempted to sink both fists into the green creature's stomach, the same attack technique she had used to subdue Majin Zam. But would it finish the job with the Namek?

Success! At least partially. Shell’s whirlwinding blade sent a neat slice up the girl’s front, and the telltale red spilled into her clothing, the scent of blood immediately blossoming into the air. Human blood smelled so metallic. It was disgusting, really. Namekian blood was much more muted in scent. Still, his attack was only partially successful, his second attack whipping against air. She learned too quickly. Shell couldn’t keep up. But then, he knew the ‘extendo arm’ trick was just that: a parlor trick meant to catch her off guard. It meant her reflexes were top notch, which was bad for Shell, who was trying to find an advantage anywhere that he could cling to. But there was none. She just outclassed him entirely. He’d need to use a bit more power if he wanted to edge this fight out from her.
He looked down for half a second, beginning to untie the sash around his waist, and immediately he heard her power roar into the air, wind kicking over. He snapped his eyes up, halfway through taking the sash off when the girl was leaping forward, that white aura encasing her again. Shit. He was hoping it would be too tiring for her to do multiple times. He wasn’t lucky.
The fists took him entirely by surprise. He barely had a chance to try and move. That’s why one fist sank deeper than the other. He’d tried to roll out of the way only to have a pair of fists plow halfway into his stomach. The fist closest to his turn sank deeper, its partner grazed him just a tiny bit lighter. He grunted out his pain at the attack, which was brutal. He didn’t fly back like last time, because he was prepared for the strength of the blast, which rocketed up his chest. He felt his eyes rolling back as Ahri took both hands out of his stomach, and Shell started to fall.
Embarrassing. That was the overwhelming thought in Shell’s mind. It was amazing how many thoughts you could have as you were falling, no longer having to control your body anymore. His performance here had been less than pathetic. He got in one good hit and was completely outclassed. It was disturbing. Infuriating. Motivating. He’d stepped into a Lion’s den bigger than himself, intending to know the true distance between himself and Daimao. Now he knew it. Brutal truth. He was a speck. Hardly worth Daimao’s time. The fight would be over between them even faster. Ahri had shown him precisely the gap between them. The chasm of power he had to cross. And she was likely only a fraction of Daimao’s strength. Against such a giant he was less than a gnat. Less than a speck. He had a long climb to go if he intended to sit that throne.
Shell was unconscious before he hit the ground, eyes rolled backwards as his body landed on its knees, then fell sideways into the grass.

The spar was over, and Ahri had emerged as the victor. The match had not even been close. One last hit, and it was all over. The Namekian failed to provide even a halfway decent challenge for Ahri. The fight had been decided extremely quickly, and left Ahri utterly underwhelmed. The tall, green alien still had quite a way to go before he could even challenge Piccolo Daimao. Both fists found their mark, sinking into the Namek's stomach, critically striking him. Once more, it completely ignored the energy barrier that was coating the green guy's skin, passing through it as if it was mere air. Ahri stopped herself from falling forward by almost instantly planting her feet on the ground, halting her momentum. The brutal punches had done their job, completely destroying any hope of winning that the Namekian may have had left. As she removed her fists from her opponent's stomach, he fell onto the grass for the second time for this fight, and wouldn't be picking himself back up anytime soon. He seemed lifeless for a moment, however upon further inspection, one could still see that the alien was still in fact, breathing. He had just been overwhelmed. On the other end of the spectrum, Ahri felt disappointed and dissatisfied. Namekians supposed were powerful creatures that could cause many problems for their opponents. This Namek just didn't seem to fit the bill. With only two attacks, the Namekian was down for the count. Against her, a mere human, it would've not been surprising if the Namek had won the spar. Had she really been searching all of this time for this? She knew that there was a power gap between them, but she wasn't supposed to deal severe damage to him so quickly. Were Namekians really that squishy? With one hand on her hip, she looked down at the Namekian, thinking silently to herself. Maybe I overdid it.......
She admitted to herself that she reacted rather brashly when the Namekian landed a hit on her. She looked down to see the bright red cut continuing to bleed across her stomach, still burning with pain. She had mutually agreed to allow her opponent to use the sword, although now, she wished he hadn't done that. She had been in pain worse than this before, through blunt force alone. However, being sliced all the way across your stomach was a whole different story. It seemed like the pain was never ending, much like all cuts seemed until the pain finally died down. She reached into her bag and took out a completely black hoodie, immediately putting it on her body to cover the cut and the blood on her sports bra. The cut was likely to get infected if she didn't treat it soon, so that was also something to think about. Idly, she looked down towards the Namekian once more, pondering if she should leave him there or not. Although, if the Namekian knew Zam personally, perhaps the Demonlands were his designating area of living. She abhorred the idea of stepping foot in the Demonlands, but she would feel immense guilt if she had just left him there. But if Namekians had regenerative abilities...... She had decided to walk away, knowing fully that the Namek was going to wake up eventually. The female fighter had not dished out any necessarily lethal blows to the Namek. Surely he would be fine, right? She walked away from the forest that day, hood pulled down and head held high. For she knew that she was now a formidable opponent for even a Namekian. Although, there's always the possibility that he happened to be a rather weak Namek.
