Misaki lightly sat against the bounds of the newly reinforced training room, as she waited for the catgirl from before to come to the training area. As part of her training to master her new energy level, it came to her head to test herself against someone who'd not long ago managed to defeat Misaki in single combat - the catgirl beastwoman, Jade. With that thought in mind, Misaki had smiled and quietly left a letter on the girls' door, spent some time watering the plants in the garden, Drank some delicious ginseng tea, trimmed the hedges, Touched up the illustrations on her personal gardening box, spent a few hours working on her own biology homework (there was a lot of stuff about human evolution in this chapter, which Misaki found completely and utterly boring, so the exercise this time turned out to be a slog, had a light lunch with a small bowl of rice and some carrots...
And now, she sat in the training room, hoping Jade would be on schedule. She'd put together this whole thing knowing that Jade was also a very excited fighter, and she figured she'd see her shortly.
Unless she missed the message on her door.
Or she had other things to do that day...
Or maybe, she'd decided today wasn't a good day for her to be fighting. she could always have gotten hurt or sick recently. Misaki might not keep up with her life enough to really know that, come to think of it.
Maybe she was just not interested in getting into another battle with Misaki! The gardener didn't know, and now that she thought about it, she hadn't given Jade a way to properly answer her.
Sweat rolled down Misaki's face as she realized that this entire situation might just lead to her standing in this ring for an hour like an idiot while waiting on Jade.
"...Please be coming, please be coming..." The florist muttered under her breath, her composure briefly broken as she awaited her sparring partner.

It all started with Jade asking Miskai for a spar in the training room at the time when Koma asked them to gather there. Well, not exactly. She only suggested it, and well.. Misaki accepted the offer. Once Jade slid open the door of her room, she saw the letter on the ground. It stated that Misaki was waiting at the training room for them to spar with each other. A soft smile appeared on Jade's face as she saw this. The good news was she was already dressed in her pink tracksuit, and was just about to take a job across the bridge and back. Hm.. a few changes of plans wouldn't do much, would it? Well, there she was.. standing at the door, looking through the transparent glass to see if Misaki was there, and she was. There she was, standing in the ring. Man, she was patient. Jade was sleeping for almost the whole morning, but still.. she left the letter and waited for the feline to enter the training room. How nice. Well, Jade couldn't hold up this thing any longer, so she slid the door open, and entered the training room, with a smile plastered on her features. Her movements were rather slow, as she wanted to surprise her, even though she might actually sense her ki, but hey. You know.. a lot of stuff went through Jade's mind as she entered the ring. How did Misaki attain this much power in such a small time span? You know.. to be fair, she was stronger than Jade the first time they fought each other, but now.. she's like.. ten times stronger than Jade. Well, not literally. As soon as Jade would have approached her in a stealthy manner, she would tap Misaki on the shoulder, and she turns around, using her immense speed, she would quickly move in front of her, with a smile visible on her face. Hmm.. she's still a bit playful.
"Hi. I'm here now. I was sleeping so that's why I'm a bit late. I'm sorry."

Misaki turned, in turn with the turn of Jade's turn-around, her face turning from frown to smile as her Eyes began to give off a soft glow of bright red... they'd been doing that more, these days, after all. Was it a condition to worry about? She supposed she wasn't sure. Still, she gave a faint hum of amusement as she turned to see Jade in front of her. "Asleep, hmm? I see. It's also my own fault for giving you such short notice. I understand." She added with a nod, before moving to one part of the sparring arena - even as she took a breath and flexed her hands experimentally... It had been a while since she'd properly sparred someone. "You seem to have gotten faster. Stronger, too. Well... I suppose if you hadn't, this match wouldn't be nearly as interesting, would it?" Misaki asked, concentrating her energy as she stood stock still for a brief moment. With a single exhale, emerald energy, so different from the murky gold she'd shown Jade before would appear. unlike her original strength, this aura was far more locked to Misaki's form. Controlled. Compressed. It did not arc across the room as it once had. The feeling was also quite different, having a natural feel interingling with the demonic, malicious ki she had. For the florist, it all felt so much simpler, a mixture of ki control learned from Koma, power acquired as the guardian of the legendary tree of might, and her own training intermingling to create an aura far more powerful than the one she had used before... She smiled, a pleasant, content smile as the power raced through her body, electricity sparking through her veins and making her feel excited, awake, aware, and alive. Misaki's power was overwhelming, and the fact that she hasn't even powered up yet. If she did, she wouldn't feel it inside the house or something. "That's true. Maybe if you told me the day before, I would've been early. Though, I was the one that asked for this."
She admitted. She actually wanted to test this terrifying power that Misaki had, and to be fair.. she would use this training session to try to better herself. To get stronger. Stronger than she is now. Jade would think of this as a race for power when they fought for the first time. But obviously Misaki won in that aspect. "Yeah. I agree that I've gotten stronger. You trained a lot since we last fought, and that's nice. But.. I had to attend this Women's Tournament in the Central Lands. Surprisingly, I met Juni's sister, Clove Tea, and we fought each other. Well, it was a battle royale so.. there were other opponents. But I think that I've also gotten tougher. I can take a hard hit somewhat. I've gotten a bit slippery too."
She said, with a slight smile visible on her features. Misaki's power was very unstable the first time they fought. Well, unstable might be an overstatement. Her energy now seemed to be.. still.. and calm. "I see that you've gained control of your massive power. Can I ask you something? Wait.. no. I'll ask you later."

Well, then. Misaki nodded in acknowledgement of Jade's accomplishments. "Interesting. so you've been in battles since we've last spoke... I..." Hmm. Perhaps she wasn't quite ready to speak of her shadow directly yet. Something about it... stung. "...hmm. Perhaps I can leave it at the fact that I faced something that tested me sorely. There's little more to say on the subject." Misaki finally resigned to after a moment. It wasn't as though there was nothing to speak of on that experience, but... Misaki smiled and held up a hand. Without a single extra word, her energy coursed around her, racing and zipping around the fighter. Within moments, a curious aura surrounded her, even as she held her energies taut, The power around her once again taking on a toothy expression... Misaki had compromised, and now, the new, dark emerald energies took on a new form. Sharp teeth clapped around her, creating a protective vise that seemed to be ephemerally tied to the ground. "Well then, I guess you could say that we've been through our most challenging fights since we last met. It's about time we put this power that we have attained to the test. I mean.. you have grown a lot stronger than I have in the period of time that we had to.. train I guess."She admitted. She hadn't been through anything intense lately other than that tournament. Maybe Misaki has been three something worse? Hmm.. it's obviously something intense, or she wouldn't be able to attain this much power. Well, this wasn't the time to think about all that. The spar was about to begin. As Misaki got herself ready for the spar, Jade had an idea that might help her during this fight. It's something that came to her mind out of the blue and she has never actually tried it before. She took a deep breath and suddenly, some jade green energy began to appear around her form. She emptied her mind, as she tried to create six orbs of energy around her and try to keep it in the air and possibly be able to control it. Her eyes were closed while she did this. Once she tried to focus her energy on doing this, she opened her eyes, only to see those six orbs behind her. Three of which were on the right, and the other three on the left. They were green and they had that fiery look around them, just like her 'Burning Attack'. She looked at Misaki for a few moments and observed her dragonfly form and then a slight smile came upon her features. "Let's go. "Grown a lot stronger? Me?" Misaki asked, looking slightly perturbed at the thought, a look of concentration as she pondered the words for a moment. These past battles, she'd learned a lot from Koma, Fought her own opposite, became the guardian of a mystical tree, and found herself speaking to so many new people, making new experiences... "No." Misaki responded with a curt smile. "I don't think I'd go that far. I've simply... grown. And I think I have much more growing to do before I can say any more than that." With those words, Misaki steeled herself, releasing an emerald aura as the tight energy quickly snaked into existence as a row of leaves in front of Misaki. Much as the petals she once utilized so well, these were deadly in volume, but they mixed number with power far more efficiently than her old attempt. The main offensive power came from the same source, though, even as it glowed a soft green instead of it's usual gold: A triplet of miniature suns... except... Misaki smiled, closing her eyes. Focusing her ki was something she could always do relatively easily, but sensing had been so very difficult, before. Now, though? She had tranquility. She had balance. She had finally found a little more of who she herself was, and armed with that knowledge, Misaki Kazamiya had no problem focusing her energy and channeling the power she had maintained for so long through her parasol and sending the three blasts off at different angles in a heartbeat. The attitude that Misaki had was a good one, in Jade's opinion. Even though she had obtained this much power, she still didn't feel like it was enough to be called 'strong'. Once Misaki got ready to attack, Jade was expecting a barrage of attacks because that was what happened the last time they fought. She wasn't actually wrong. Jade closed her eyes in the moment, as she readied her mind for the barrage of attacks that would come at her. Once she opened her eyes, she saw the balls of energy surrounding her, zipping around her body. It was at that point that she realized that trying to dodge them would be hard. Where did Misaki get this power and this level of controlling ki? Jade has only managed to create that energy construct by chance really, and it's as if Misaki has gotten used to this. The feline crossed her arms in front of her and the six orbs of energy that she created suddenly came together into a shield behind her. She even created a barrier at that point, but it was a rather thin barrier that could be broken by a very powerful attack. But, once the blasts hit its target, the smoke engulfed that side of the ring. Jade was slammed into the corner of the ring due to the impact of the blast. It wasn't a surprise that the barrier broke. Jade had to give a good impression in front of Misaki, she had to show her that she was a worthy opponent. Once the smoke dissipated, there she was.. with her aura dancing violently around her form. That same aura dissipated with Jade panting heavily. "It took a lot out of me to take a hit like that. I couldn't even dodge it. Hmm.. my turn!"Instead of charging up a ball of ki in her palm or on the tip of her tail, she threw one of the six orbs of ki at Misaki. She wanted to throw an unexpected attack at Misaki. She wasn't exactly sure if she was successful in doing so but what she knew was.. this is indeed one of the hardest spars that she had ever participated in. The tell-tale feelings of the cats ki hardening, and the power within her barriers, and the florist's smile curled up as she saw the beastgirl survive the attacks. With a sweet smile, she readied herself for Jade's counter, putting her hands out as she waited for the assault. As the blast came towards her, Misaki breathed in, and didn't attempt to move out of the way at all this time, bringing her hand gently forward, before slapping the blast, straight in the middle, the ball not sent flying, but dispersed - broken up by the subtle manifestation of ki in Misaki's hand. A minor burn showed as the damage took it's toll, but overall, Misaki was fine, her energy hardly dropping... And with that, Misaki's smile widened. A chilling grin came over her features, and she focused her energy. From whence the blasts that missed Jade came from, a soft hum entered the area, as Misaki pushed her skills at energy manipulation to their limits. "Not bad, dodging all of that." Misaki would say with a happy smile. "now let's see if you can do it again." In the past, that sort of move would have completely drained Misaki's reserves - now, though? She felt free as a bird, completely fine - and ready to strike again. Her powers may not have changed much, but with the addition of Koma's training, the tree's power, and her own hard work, the power and stamina drain had completely changed... Her Energy roared back to life as a new gauntlet appeared, green energy lancing from every direction, including misaki herself, as she attempted to maneuver jade into getting hit yet again with a smile. H-how? How did she become so.. untouchable? Well, that blast did barely anything. It showed that she has really been through some tough training, and this has made her tougher than before. Jade was left in disbelief. She.. couldn't bring the challenge that she wanted to give to her. It's as if a baby was trying to fight an older well experienced fighter. Though, she felt slightly better when she was complimented. Not bad? Hmm, still not good enough. Jade looked around her, observing the area around her, only to see the green energy homing in. "Woah!"In the eyes of her opponent, it should look like Jade was moving extremely fast, weaving her way through the barrage of blasts. At least, until she was caught off with one of the blasts, connecting with the feline, sending her flying to the ground.. again. This time.. she was nearly out of breath. She was breathing heavily and for the first time ever.. she felt defeat. But, this was a bit brutal. "H-hey Misaki.. I know I said that you shouldn't hold back, but I didn't expect your attacks to be this.. powerful. I don't think I'll be able to stand in this fight much longer, but that's the thing. Y-you know me already, I'll never give up. Because you're putting your all into those attacks, I might as well do the same."Most of the orbs that were behind her dissipated, and there was only one left. She struggled to get up from the floor and brushed herself off. As she was about to raise her arms in the air, a sudden pain came upon her. It was in her stomach. She rested her hand in her stomach, as she tried to ensure the pain. Suddenly, her jade green aura coated her body, healing all the wounds she had on her body and the stomach ache. As the pain left her body, it reminded her of that time when her tail was bruised during the 'Devil's Cookbook Gang Saga'. It was at that time, Juniper tended to Jade's tail, and relieved the pain. She was a bit.. puzzled. How exactly did she do it? It was almost.. impossible to tell when that was about to happen. It she didn't do it at will. "H-how?! Well, I guess the intense training has made me surpass my limits. I didn't do that on my own though, it just.. happened. Let's not worry about that."Her aura suddenly flared up, spiking up her power level and replenishing her ki pool. A faint smile appeared on her features, for as much as she was being beaten right now, she was still having some fun. The fact that she is learning how to beat Misaki was a challenge made her feel.. great. It was a bit ironic that her hunger for fighting free stronger at this time. She then raised her hands in the air, absorbing the last orb of energy and transferring it above her. That small ball grew larger and larger as time passed. "Sorry for the wait. Do you remember this attack? HAAAA!"With that said, she threw the large flaming orb of energy at Misaki, hoping to make Misaki flinch or struggle. As Jade explained herself, Misaki stood apart, arms folded as the catgirl explained her feelings on their power difference... It was strange, Misaki reflected. She had found improvement in herself here, and yet she still felt that this was... something she found unhappy. Was it a lack of challenge? No, she decided. Jade, after all, was quite resourceful, standing back up and... healing herself? Curious. Misaki idly wondered if she could do the same for herself at some point. She'd have to figure it out at some other time, however, for Jade's next move took her full attention. With a sudden burst of power, Misaki was treated to nostalgia, the attack that had ended their last battle so quickly... Already charged and fired straight for her, in the same motion... Misaki's eyes went wide as instinct took over, aided by her newfound sensing ability... The Parasol was thrust forward, as the golden aura was temporarily drawn backwards, and Misaki stabbed forward with the lunge of a fencer, emerald flames awash across her Parasol as she neatly struck the Orb. the blow was not enough to fully divert the orb, but the ki sent through it helped divert it just enough that Misaki could quickly sidestep, feeling the attack blow past her. Misaki's hair flew with the wind of the attack behind her, before it exploded harmlessly in the back of the sparring chamber. "...My my, it seems that attack is stronger than ever... But I don't think you can do it again, can you?" Misaki would ask with a vicious look... before giving a small laugh. not quite a giggle, but not so sustained as to be a chuckle, either. "That's quite alright. I can only do that particular combination twice, myself. So it seems we've both lost our best weapons... well, still..." Misaki's smile turned t quite the vicious grin as she pointed her parasol forward, her aura growing around her as the air became... hot. difficult to breathe. dry, from the sheer raw force of it. "...I'm certainly far from defenseless~" And so another explosion of flower-shaped bullets sang through the air, straight for Jade. It was rather fascinating the way how she dealt with such a powerful attack and it was at that point where Jade felt like she was going to lose. Just one more of those barrages of ki attacks and she would be out. Well, even if she lost, she would actually be happy that she was able to 'unlock' her hidden potential. She was still a bit confused and plans to ask Juniper about the healing aspect of her power. Misaki didn't seem to agree with what Jade had to say though. She got a different message than what she was expecting. As Jade listen to the gardener's explanation, she realized that she has actually used her most powerful combo and has actually exhausted it. It seems as if she won't actually be able to use it again. A sigh of relief left the feline's lips as she finally understood what she was saying. But, it was rather weird how Misaki compared Jade's finisher attack to her barrage of ki attacks. The major difference was this time, it didn't have that much effect as the last time where Jade actually finished their spar with this attack. Jade at least took the compliment that her spar partner has to offer about how powerful her attack was. "Yeah, that attack ended our last fight, now that I remember. Hmm, but I guess it didn't this time. You know.. it's rather fair that you win this fight, as I won our last encounter."She admitted. She knew that this day was just not hers and that Misaki was going to win. The only thing she had left to do at this point was to have fun while she still could. When Jade stepped into the training room a few days ago, she knew that Misaki had improved a lot, as she sensed her immense power. Power that Jade wishes and craves for. It convinced her that there was no such thing as being powerful at the level she is currently at, because people have actually surpassed the boundary that others have set for them. Now that she thought about it, the power level that she has at the moment doesn't actually match up to Misaki's power level at the time when they first fought each other, which was a bit scary to think about. Misaki's attacks might not be as powerful as before, but Jade was near her peak in this fight and Misaki seemed to be just getting started. Misaki might not actually understand what Jade had to say until she sees her pass out or something. Jade was in the world of her thoughts for a good while now and she actually was brought back to reality when Misaki added her last lines before throwing a barrage of ki attacks in the direction of the feline. This time, Jade couldn't even resort to dodging. Instead, she found herself crossing her arms in front of her chest and the bottom half of her face, taking the attacks head on and well, that was a really bad idea. It left her more beaten than she ever was, breathing heavily and trying to catch her breath. "Ugh, I.. one more of those and I'll be out. I've gotta be c-careful next time. Heh. I c-can still fight. If this is the last thing I do b-before this fight ends, I'm gonna g-give it everything I've got in my last attacks."There were rips all over her clothes and it was pretty obvious that she was about to pass out, but she decided not to give up. She promised to give Misaki a challenge and that's what she's going to do, even if she's in her current state. She even tried to heal herself once at will but it didn't work. Maybe she needed to work on that new found technique some more. She stood there with a limped left arm when suddenly, her aura flared up. A gush of air rushed it's way across the area, as she charged up her very own tailed ki blast. Her ki pool was actually running a bit low, but she found it meaningless to actually try to recover some ki because well.. the fight was about to end. Misaki simply blinked at the idea of "fair to win", as Jade spoke. Was it... normal in her culture for fights to have victors for any other reason than the stronger person crushing the weaker person? Was she supposed to take turns winning and losing? Did she have this all wrong? Certainly not, right? Misaki made a mental note to look up sparring etiquette later, in a library, or something. She might not have this all as down as she thought. The confusing thought was snapped out of her as she felt, then saw, the two glowing orbs of green ki headed straight for her... and smiled. Expanding her aura, she took the emerald orbs head-on, opting to push them back with her own energy. Emerald ki hit the dark green form of the energy fly-trap, the Jaws of the trap closing and attempting to push the blasts back. It wasn't to be. The power Misaki exhibited was simply too much, and the power of the ki balls exploded, creating a whirlwind of energy in the room where misaki stood. Eventually, the smoke cleared, revealing a misaki with injuries... but minor ones. a couple bruises, as she dusted herself off. "...Well, I salute your last effort... but I think it's about time for the duel to end, don't you, miss Jade?" Misaki asked sweetly, before holding both her hands forward. Twin blasts of emerald light shot out from a modified, quick-firing set of Solar Axis'es, while other energy formed from Misaki's aura to pepper Jade further. She was ready to end this duel. Unlike the first few attempts that Jade took to hit Misaki with a really powerful attack, this time it was slightly different. It seemed as if when Jade was in distress as she was now, her attack power increased. It was actually she, giving the last two attacks everything she had and when she saw the explosion, she knew that something happened. From the smog emerged an injured and slightly damaged Misaki and well.. Jade was left in disbelief. The only question that flew through her mind was.. 'Did I do that?'. She improved as this fight went on and actually, this would've given her a chance to win, but that wasn't the case. She was too tired to keep this up. Her physical state was already bad. Misaki seemed to finally understand that Jade was basically at her limit and it was quite obvious in her question. "Y-yes. I'm afraid that this is my l-limit."
A soft smile appeared on her features as he thought about this fight and saw how she improved only at the last moment. She was pretty sure that if they should fight again, her combat style and resilience would've improved immensely and her attacks more powerful. As the last barrage of ki attacks went in her direction, she ignited her jade green aura, attempting to push back all those blasts aimed at her, but it was pointless. She had a lot of determination and resilience, but she just didn't have enough energy to back it up. She struggled to keep them away from her body for a few moments until they finally exploded. Due to the huge explosion, the smog engulfed the area and once it cleared up, what was revealed was a staggering, injured and exhausted pinkette. She panted heavily and she fell back. She was on one knee when she addressed Misaki. "I.. I'm sorry, Misaki. It seemed as if I wasn't formidable as I thought I would be. You're really amazing, Misaki. I should probably train some more if I want to match you in power. I'd like you to tutor me and make me stronger, even if it means beating me in every fight we have, but anyways.. thank you Misaki. You're.. amazi-."
She was unable to finish that statement, as her fatigueness caught on to her and she fainted in front of her sparring partner. She has never felt such power before and seeing Misako with it has made her more enthusiastic. The smile was still visible on her face, which made it rather obvious that she was only tired.
