Marshmallow Summit is a man made mountain sculpted from an ice glacier, artificial snow coats the entire mountain side, and four ski lifts surround the base to represent the cardinal directions. After the shadowy temple anomaly, Cayle’s birthday, and releasing a saiyan from Tuffle captivity there was a chance for a break. The snow covered area was part of the main theme park just north of a hotel next to the castle museum at the center. Rather than call or make a personal invitation she texted Achido to meet her at the hotel lodge lobby to get outfitted with a snowboard or skis. It had been a while since the pair spent time alone together and she was rather nervous about not including Cayle. In the back of her mind, she hoped that he trusted her, but at the same time an alternate reality Tiger Lily scolded her for being so naive. Lately, Ty found it difficult to smile, no matter how much she trained to become a strong martial artist she kept falling short, everyone she knew had changed in their own way, and she was afraid of being someone other than herself. Remaining optimistic no matter what was her motto but it came with a price which made her concerned on how it would affect other people. The red head shook her head to clear her thoughts, then proceeded to tie her hair into a ponytail, and sat on the sofa near the fireplace wearing basic yellow and black snow gear. The teenage girl just wanted to free her mind for a change and that was easily accomplished being around her best friend. [275] Achido

There was always light in the darkness and Achido was happy to have found his way to the light, after the incident that happened within the cursed temple. His mind was still shattered with what he had seen in an alternate life, but that was his new found motivation. Tiger Lily may have not known what the man saw within that temple, but it had caused Achido to distance himself from the only one he cared for the most. It was a loss he was NOT okay with, but deep down he knew that it had to be done for the time being.
The young man was admiring his alone time inside a forest, which was just a couple of hundred miles away from where Ty currently was. Achido was sitting on an old rotted log, while watching the animals live their lives in peace. The sound of a buzz came from his pants pocket, so he quickly pulled out his C-phone and smiled wide at the name that popped up on the screen. "The hotel lodge? I wonder what she is up to now." He said in a low voice, then stood from the log and stretched out.
With a quick push off the ground, Achido was above the forest and flying north to where Ty had mentioned in the text. The martial artist was wearing a black tank top and his usual pants, the wind causing each of those to ripple across his body because of the speed of how fast Achido was actually going. The closer he got to the lodge, the colder it got. Achido was beginning to regret not bringing any extra gear. "Brrrrrr" Escaped his lips, as he continued to fly toward his destination. It didn't take long for the man to find the lodge, landing just outside the entrance and walking in.
The lodge was warm and cozy, reminding him of his grandparents house because of how welcome they always made him feel when visiting. When Achido spotted Ty in her snow gear, he instantly felt stupid, but couldn't help to notice how beautiful she really was. "Ty..I missed you." He announced. There was clearly more he wanted to say to her, especially after basically ignoring her the entire time at Cayle's birthday party, but he kept it to himself for now and tried to enjoy his time with Tiger Lily.

Tiger Lily stood up immediately as soon as she sensed Achido arrive, she smiled until she noticed he was not dressed for the artificial cold climate. “Ah! Come here by the fireplace or you will catch a cold!” The red head wiggled out of her yellow jacket, revealing a black turtleneck sweater underneath, and wrapped her body heated jacket around his broad shoulders which barely stretched far enough to fit his muscular frame. With a blush, she noticed that despite being the same height as before, he appeared physically stronger.
“Um...you look so different. You miss me? After just a few days?” Ty knitted her brows together concerned for what he really meant, “I haven’t told anyone about what took place inside that weird sea island temple. There was another Tiger Lily and Achido fighting in a post Tuffle invasion apocalypse. So even though you weren’t there, I still felt that you were close, every time I looked at a different Achido. Is everything alright with you? Sit down for a second and relax.”
She motioned over to the sofa, sitting down, and leaving space on the seat closest to the fireplace for him. With a wave of her hand she caught the attention of a waitress and ordered two hot cocoa with Shu Shiba Inu shaped marshmallows and handed her a Pilaf Land deluxe pass to pay for it. In no time, a tray with two large mugs, and a bowl of the marshmallows were brought over to the coffee table. The pass was returned and Ty wrapped it around her wrist.
“Here.” She handed over one of the mugs in Achido’s hands very carefully and then picked up the bowl of marshmallows, “Do you want to put one inside the cocoa?”

The sound of Ty's voice caused him to smile wide, but the gesture of her allowing him to wear the warm jacket made him melt. Her scent was enough to disrupt his senses, which made him a bit nervous. "Thank you, Ty! I didn't expect it to be so cold up here. Good thing they sell snow gear in the lobby!" He responded to her nice gesture. It felt like forever since Achido and Ty had some time alone, even though it was just days ago they were at Cayle's birthday party.
With the jacket still draped over his broad shoulders, Achido took a seat on the sofa and listened to what Ty was saying. "That is what I meant by I missed you. That temple did something to me. I mean, look at me? I am visibly older. Not only that, but I have seen things that I cannot unsee, Ty." He paused for a moment as Ty motioned over the waitress and ordered two hot cocoa for them both. Achido loved the sound of that, especially with how cold he had gotten on his way to the hotel lodge.
When the waitress returned with the two mugs and the bowl of marshmallows, Achido happily accepted the mug from Ty and a few marshmallows. He tossed in the sugar cubes and sipped at the molten hot liquid. "Thank you, Ty. This is much needed after the flight here." Even with all that has happened to Achido, Ty was always able to put a smile on his face and make things better. "So you saw a different version of me? I seen.." He paused once more and shook off what fear he had left of the situation. "The version I saw of myself had killed you and everyone else close to me. I can't let that happen, Ty. You mean too much to me. I feel that I have to use every breath I have to help keep you safe." He said to the woman, then looked down to the marshmallows melting away inside the mug. Achido took another sip and smiled a bit as pieces of the melted marshmallow went into his mouth.

Not mentioning how cold it was in Marshmallow Summit made her realize how naive she had been, the Sargeant Kuri scolded her for it, but she honestly could not help having a one track mind in the first place. The noticeable differences were affirmed by Achido of being older, he had been in the temple longer than anyone apart from Master Daiko’s students, and maybe time flowed differently when he was in there for days while it was minutes for everyone else. While she listened to him, she placed the bowl of Shu shaped marshmallows, and took a sip of her mug. The mention of an alternate Achido killing everyone was unfathomable, there was no real explanation to these alternate realities being true, but it felt real.
“Listen, that temple was meant to consume anyone who went in there. It felt real to everyone but it was all just a bad dream. You’re here now, you might look different, but you’re still Achido. We need to move past that chapter in our lives, to be ourselves, and while it is good to keep training in a world that is not fully at peace, it is also important to be happy because that is what we’re really fighting for. To protect each other and have fun while we’re still alive.” Ty placed the mug down and extended her arms apart motioning for him to do the same, “Now give me a hug.”

Achido sat there in silence, listening to every word Tiger Lily had to say. The words were encouraging as usual, but something deep down inside the man was haunting him. The images of Ty and Cayle continued to flash through his mind, especially since he was now face to face with the only person he truly cared for. "Thank you, Ty. It means a lot that you care. I need to reach out to my parents. It's time that I pay them a visit but first we might as well shred this mountain!" He replied to the redheaded woman with a smile of his own.
Achido was still holding the hot mug carefully, while looking to Ty and smiling a bit. "Anyway, how is my best friend? Hopefully you have been getting sleep unlike myself." Achido took a long sip from.the mug, enjoying the warm liquid going down into his belly. He leaned forward and placed the mug on the coffee table, then stood up from the chair, and grabbed Ty's jacket. "Well, enough talking, let's go have some fun on the slopes!" He said to the woman, while stepping forward and placing his hand out to help Ty up from her chair. As she accepted his hand, Achido pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her. "Anything for you." He said, as he embraced his best friend.
As the two made their way through the lobby, there was a store within the building that was selling snow gear. Achido quickly pointed it out to Ty and grinned. "Now I won't have to freeze! Is it okay if we stop there really fast? I just need an outfit to keep me warm on the mountain." He was very excited to be hanging around Ty again because she seemed to be the one person to help balance the man's life. Without Ty, Achido would still be training with his father being miserable as ever.

The fascination that Ty was a positive influence made her ocean teal irises glimmer with hope. It meant the world to be supportive of everyone she loved and truly cared about. However, she was forced to cast away her feelings to be the best at being Achido’s friend, while he sorted through moving on from the nightmare they suffered at the mysterious temple. The fact that he was still avoided his parents was a bit concerning but she already talked to him about it before, it was ultimately his decision to be a good son by keeping in contact, and she was curious about what they must have been like to have raised her best friend so well. After they both enjoyed the hot cocoa, the seemingly teenage boy stood up, taking her hand to help her off her seat, and standing up with an extra bounce on her step. In that brief moment, when he hugged her, her heart was fluttering, and she felt happy.
“Well, with enough exercise during the day, you will find that laying your head on a fluffy pillow is a great relief towards recovering and getting stronger.” She held on to his hand after pulling away to meet his eyes, “You need to train more, I can tell that after we first met, we were evenly matched, but now I am way past your power level!”
Ty began to flex her bicep showing off how much she had grown followed by a spike of her ki signature. She looked over to the store he pointed at, he needed to get outfitted for the mountain slopes, and anything else he might need. “Sure thing, let me take that jacket off your hands, now that you’ve warmed up a bit. I will wait right here for you.”
The red head put on her jacket again and walked into the store to look at the souvenirs, her attention was on the snow globes, all of them were Emperor Pilaf themed.

Achido knew that he had to get stronger, but that was something not very important to him at the time. He had gone through so much within the past few months, that he desired friendship more than anything. Ty was the one he wanted to start with because he had felt so much more than just friendship for the woman, but he knew that Cayle and her were dating, so he didn't want to get in between what they had. With a simple nod to Ty's words about him getting stronger, Achido didn't really want to talk about that at the time. The spike of power normally would be enough to spark any martial artists interest. Not Achido, power was simply a tool to use against the weak and he wanted more than that. More than power and abilities, he wanted a bond so strong even the toughest opponents would have to trouble against them.
As Ty looked to the shop and spoke once again, Achido pulled the jacket off and handed it back over to his best friend. "I won't be long, I promise! But you don't have to wait here, come inside and look around." He said to the woman, before walking toward the entrance of the store. There were two outfits in display and they were the same style, just different colors around certain sections of the outfit. He wasn't totally impressed, so he walked in to see what else they had to sell.
Once inside, Achido went to the back of the shop and looked around in the Male's aisle of clothes. There was a variety of different styles of snowboarding gear on the racks, so Achido wasn't quite sure which one to choose. "Hm, well, this won't be as easy as I thought." He muttered to himself, as he continued to browse the clothes. As he came across a blue camo jacket, with light blue pants and goggles attached to it.. "This is it!" He said in a very excited tone of voice, while grabbing the outfit and hurrying to the counter.
After the exchange for the outfit, Achido looked around and saw Ty looking at snow gloves, which caused him to smile lightly. He walked over to his best friend and pointed out the Emperor Pilaf globe, which had a dog and young female with the emperor himself. "So who are those two?" He asked, while pointing out the dog and woman inside the snow globe. Achido was truly curious because he did not know much about Pilaf or the beings he surrounded himself with.

Tiger Lily looked at the reflection of her face on the glass of the snow globe, her smile faded, she was eager to spend her time with Achido but looking at herself reminded her of coming to terms with what her reality actually was. While she was still a teenage girl, she wanted to enjoy her youth while she still could, and not be forced to take care of a family of her own early on when everything was still normal. Achido seemed disinterested in becoming stronger but she wanted him to be so that he would remain safe. All she hoped for was to protect the people who were most important to her, she had been training to do exactly that, and soon she would be able to use martial arts to surpass her own father.
“That is Shu Mai, it’s a Eastern Lands cuisine, but the Shiba Inu beastman is Shu, and the woman is Mai. Pilaf is a famous rice dish. It’s punny.” Ty smiled at him, “Do you think, I am being too childish? I actually don't want to grow up so fast. I enjoy spending my days living carefree and having fun. Which is why I love being in Pilaf Land so much.”
Ocean teal eyes stared at his face, he looked older now, she wondered if he felt the same about growing up despite everything. It seemed that her concerns were more abundant after she turned seventeen and soon enough she would be buried in a mountain of responsibility in order to support herself.
“My father won’t stop worrying about me until I grow up into an adult. It’s the same for you and your parents right?”

There was a lot on Achido's mind and it seemed that even Ty was deep in thought, so he placed his arm around her shoulder and hugged her a bit. "You know that you can tell me anything, Ty. As your best friend it is my duty to be truthful and as open minded as possible. You as a person are perfectly fine and I couldn't have asked for a better friend." He looked to the globes once more and smiled because of how much detail was truly in the snow globe. "This place is really fun, though! So I can see why you enjoy it so much. I'm happy any where as long as you are near." He looked back into her real eyes and grinned. Achido wanted to kiss her so bad, but he remembered what happened the last time he pulled a stunt like that.
During that moment of weakness, Achido instinctively grabbed Ty's hand and began to lead them out of the store. "I think you need to cheer up! Let's get ready to have some fun on the mountain. Hopefully that will put a smile on your face!" He said with excitement as the two began to make their way outside of the store and back toward the lobby. "Ty, I am really glad you're here. I have only done this one time before, so having you around will make it more comfortable for me." He admitted to the woman, as they continued to make their way toward the exit of the building.

As Achido gave his answer, she stared into his eyes with awe, she smiled when he wrapped his arm across the back of her shoulders into an embrace. A warm feeling overcame her at the core, just being around her best friend was enough to stir her emotionally, and it was more than enough as the world kept on turning. With their hands clasped together, they were standing outside of the lodge, the snowboard rental was through a window connected to the lodge. Ty was forced to release his hand so that she could retrieve the rental gear, there were special boots worn to attach to the snow board, and of course the board itself was rented. A black one was rented for herself, it was bigger than the blue one she ordered for Achido because he was shorter and the board length was based on height.
“After knowing how to fly, it’s not going to be easy to let go at the top of the slope, but that’s when the fun begins. That sinking feeling you get in your gut.”
Taking the time to put the snow boots on, together they waited for their turn on the ski lift, when it came they attached the boards, stood in front of the bench, and were swept off from their feet. Staff lowered a lap bar before they were lifted higher along the line towards the top of the mountain. While they could have flown to the top, this was part of the experience, to be like all earthlings who visited the theme park and the attractions. The view from the lift was something else, it was strategically positioned to be able to see the rest of Pilaf land, the teenage girl looked over to all the places she visited.
“Make sure to put your gloves on.” Ty reached out to clasp his hand for a minute, then searched her pocket to pull out a black and yellow pair sliding them on to her fingers. “Once we reach the top, you jump off the lift to ride the mountain down, would you like to race to the bottom?”
The red head was competitive, she wanted to be good at a lot of things, especially when it came down to this moment in time. Once they reached the summit, the lap bar was raised by staff, and she leapt off. “Ready or not, here goes nothing!”
It was left to chance to see how well she would shred the mountainside on a snowboard without having to expend any ki to fly.

As Ty released her grip from his hand and ran off to rent the gear for their adventure on the mountain, Achido stood absolutely still and watched as the redhead ran off with excitement. It was moments like this that kept Achido going. She was so innocent and sweet, yet stronger than almost anyone he knew. Feeling his heart bounce about within his chest, a red tint formed over his cheeks. The man was clearly blushing and couldn't help himself. Every second he spent with Ty felt like years, but that is what he loved about it. The feeling of security and trust grew for Achido, causing him to feel most comfortable around her.
Once Ty managed to grab out the gear, Achido walked over and helped her carry everything up to the counter. They checked out and went to put their gear in together. When Ty spoke of the sinking feeling when they would drop onto the slope, Achido cringed a bit at the thought, but remembered that he could easily maneuver his landing with his ability to fly. It would be cheating a bit and Achido knew that, but he would have to get used to the fall before being able to catch on. "Wow, this will be exciting! I hope you're as excited as I am, bestie~" He said to Ty, as he laced up his boots.
Achido quickly finished putting all the gear on and walked into position, waiting to be swept off their feet and slowly hauled up the mountain. Pilafland was beautiful, the view both Ty and Achido got to enjoy was just the wildest thing the young man has ever seen. The lights, the sounds, everything was just amazing. And to make things even better, Ty was there to enjoy it with him. He wanted to make a move so bad, but he respected Cayle and wanted Ty to be happy.
The man nodded to her words, placing the dark blue gloves over his hands and smiling lightly. "A race, huh? You really think you can shred better than me?!" He taunted in a playful tone and watched as Ty hopped off and began the adventure. Achido quickly followed and hoped that his skills would allow him to beat his best friend back down to the lodge.

Tiger Lily watched in awe as Achido accepted the challenge, just like the last time when they were racing on motorcycles the blonde teenage boy was competitive, he gave it his all and as a result reached the bottom before she did. At no point did he need to use his flight ability to avoid a spill, he was talented in moving his body to reach the bottom, and in all fairness Ty could feel certain muscles tense up as she followed after his trail down the entire slope of the mountain. As the pair slowed down to stop she grinned.
“So you had it in you, all along, eh? I was certain this was your first time and even if it is you nailed it! You could be a professional in all kinds of sports if you didn’t choose martial arts! Isn’t this fun?” The red head was ecstatic, laughing half way as she released the board from her boots to ride the ski lift again, she was practically running through the snow, eager to race Achido again and possibly win at something for a change.
“Rematch!” Ty shouted between laughter, she hopped on the metal lift chair, then carefully clicked back the board on her boots, waiting for her best friend to join her as the lap bar was lowered on them by staff. Once they reached the top of the summit, the bar automatically raised, and with a wink of her ocean teal eye she set off to race to the bottom again.

With adrenaline rushing through his body, Achido could feel the snow beneath his board, allowing him to sway back and forth down the slope. It was an amazing feeling, especially when he cruised passed Ty in the blink of an eye. Before he knew it they were both down the mountain and ready for more. When Ty spoke to him, he couldn’t help but to blush under the goggles. "Ty, that was amazing! You are always trying to build up my ego and I love it." He said with excitement.
As Ty wanted a rematch for losing the first round, Achido gave her a nod and positioned himself to get back onto the lift. Once they were settled on the lift and ready to head back up the mountain, Achido removed his goggles for a minute to clear out what steam had been trapped around the eye piece, then placed them back over his helmet. When Ty dropped down from the lift, Achido grinned wide and did the same thing, hoping that he could beat her to the bottom once again.
Achido was obviously enjoying his time with his best friend, but he wanted more and he would continue to hope that Ty would eventually love him as he does to her. Seeing her smile every single day is what caused the young man to motivate himself to not only become a better person but to improve his own martial arts, even if it was at an incredibly slow rate.

“No way!” Ty pouted as she lost again reaching the bottom of the summit to an open area, she was competitive when it came down to sports and games, but it seemed that she was not as coordinated. While Achido’s ego was being improved, hers was being crushed at the realization that she was only good at fighting, and she began rolling a snowball before she spoke up. “As a prize to winning twice in a row. A fresh rolled ball of snow made by yours truly.” She grinned as she tossed it at his shoulder, rolling up the next one, and this time taking refuge behind a mound of snow before hurling it out to get the side of his face and possibly his ear. In the short span of time, she began rolling smaller snow balls with her gloves on as quickly as possible, and took aim at the blonde teenager.
