It was midnight, the stars were not visible in a cloudless West City sky, but the moon was still brilliant to make up for the air pollution. Clove reclined over the bulwark of a cruise ship docked at the pier, in three days time the ship would set sail to the southern islands, and thus begin her world tour. In order to keep her mind at ease, the tea princess kept her schedule full, and tomorrow night she would be entering the first ever West City Women’s World Martial Arts Tournament. After training for her entire childhood to cope with the loss of her mother, the motivation to fight declined after her brother Ma-Te was murdered in a gang war, and if she wanted to protect her family from further harm she needed to fight against formidable martial artists. Fortunately, the tournament took place in the evening, so she figured that staying up all night and sleeping all day would still keep her physically rested. Being half a demon had its benefits, it was obvious by the crimson red irises that kept staring at the bottom of the sea, and she was watching the waves to help her relax.
The deck was devoid of people, a couple of cabin windows were lit, the cruise ship was like a hotel to some people visiting West City, and in two days it would depart to the next destination. The further away she was from the western lands, the easier it would be to release some of the tension she had been feeling, and she was fortunate that her half sister was in good company so there was no reason to follow her everywhere as their father Pine Tea had wished.
From her observation it seemed that Juniper easily made friends with her complacent demeanor and her ability to use her mystic powers to heal strong fighters. Despite not personally meeting her friends, she could detect their power levels after observing them all for so long, and they were equally as strong. The decimation of the devil’s cook gang was the first inclination of their combined efforts of balancing the scales between good and evil. No one was killed in the process which defined their character and if her younger sister trusted them then she ultimately had no choice in the matter. Spying on a loved one was out of line, Juniper deserved her privacy, and so it was important that they remained apart until she returned home to Grand Duke Oolong’s palace.
A warm wind picked up her chestnut brown locks of hair, Clove looked away from the sea to stare at the moon instead, this moment she set aside for herself was all she needed to keep going forward in life.

Zukkah was more than grateful for those who released him from the Palace unharmed, but he felt that his life no longer had a purpose, as if he was nothing to those around him. The saiyan thought about returning home to his clan, but with how he left them without notice, there would be little to no chance of him going back. It seemed that he was beginning to give up on himself and anyone who cared. He dragged his feet along without a care in the world, just walking and walking, unsure of what to do or where to go.
Hours after the sun had settled over the horizon, Zukkah found himself walking along the shoreline of a random beach. He wasn't quite sure where he was at the moment and sure as hell didn't seem to care. As the sand qas squishing under his boots with each step, the saiyan looked down at the ground, while listening to the ocean waves slowly pushing itself up against the shoreline. His tail swayed back and forth, then suddenly wrapped itself around the waist of the saiyan.
Once Zukk walked around the long sandy bend, he saw a large cruise ship docked at a pier along the shore. He could sense something in the direction of the ship, so he slowly began to ascend upward toward the sky, then in a flash the saiyan was flying toward the pier and cruise ship. Zukkah may have had no idea who or what was on the ship, but it was worth the investigation because of just how much stronger it was to his own power.
The saiyan descended toward the hull of the ship, landing gently enough to not make any loud noises. As Zukk looked around, he noticed a figure in the distance, staring up toward the moon. He stepped forward and made his way to where this figure was standing, but as he got close enough, the saiyan noticed that the figure was a woman. He wasn't shocked one bit because this was not the first or second being who was a strong female. Unsure of how to address the woman. Zukkah simply bowed his head lightly, before speaking up. "It's something else, right? The moon, I mean. I would enjoy the view with ya, but that would only cause chaos." He announced to the woman with a slight chuckle after speaking.

While Clove kept her crimson eyes staring at the moon, she sensed the ki signature ascend from the shore to the deck of the ship, and in her peripheral line of sight she caught Zukkah fly up to her location. The demoness turned on her okobo sandals to greet him with a slight bow of her head, the bangs cut at her brow line shifted forward, and she elegantly returned to her upright posture to breathe his scent. The tea princess only needed a single particle on his person to detect where he had been. Oolong city had a certain scent, the smell of rice fields, sake, and the old stone shingles of the tiled rooftops. Detecting the brimstone, one that she was most familiar with belonged to her younger sister, and while she was curious about it she simply stared at the saiyan with the black tail.
“The moon is quite beautiful with its mystic glow, no matter where you are on earth, you can always look at it, and wonder who else might be looking at it with you.” Clove spoke eloquently, “I have heard stories from my grandfather that the moon has a certain effect on Saiyans, granting them fearsome brute ape like powers, but the passage of time must have dwindled that ability. Perhaps with proper training, a saiyan would be able to harness that power again, might that be you?” She chuckled softly in response to his idea of chaos.
A couple of steps forward allowed her to be in direct eye level with his six foot tall frame, the wooden platform of her sandals granted her to stand in equal height, and she placed one hand on her hip to observe him now that he joined her on deck. She was wearing a black and white striped one piece halter swim top, with a white blouse hanging off her shoulders, tucked away in a navy blue skirt with a side slit.
“My name is Clove Tea. It is nice to meet you. What is your name?” After waiting a beat for a response, his method of arrival is what caught her attention the most, and she figured he must have been traveling alone. “Would you be interested in keeping each other company this evening, granted that you are not required to be anywhere else at this moment? I noticed that you attained the ability to fly. I always wondered what it would be like to fly over the ocean. Should I dare ask?”
A blush came over her cheeks, she was truly interested in being carried over the ocean, to touch the ocean waves under the moonlight, as it was quite uncommon to find anyone capable of flying. It was a bit embarrassing to ask a complete stranger to do it but she felt compelled by the idea.

As Clove returned the bow and complimented the moonlight, Zukkah gave a slight nod in response to her words. "They say that the great ape transformation or as we call it, the Oozaru form is our full power, but I do not like to look at it that way. We have zero control and no way of stopping it alone. But if someone were to cut off the tail of a saiyan, then they will no longer be able to transform at the sight of a full moon. As for me, I know better. We can look, but not for too long." He responded to the woman with red eyes. It caused the saiyan to wonder what exactly this woman was but then again, it would be best to save that for another time.
The sound of Clove's wooden sandals moving from their current position caused Zukkah to keep hit eye on her, while staring the female down as she fully turned to face the saiyan. His barbaric attire was nothing compared to that of Clove's, but he was not worried about what he was wearing, as he was more focused on Clove herself. She was much different than those he had met before and the woman seemed to be curious, something that Zukkah and her had in common for the time being.
As the woman introduced herself, Zukkah once again bowed his head just a bit to show some respect. "My name is Zukkah. It is a pleasure to meet you as well Clove." He replied to her words with a smile forming across his face. When she asked if he would keep her company for the night, the saiyan was unsure how to react at first. It was the first time someone seemed genuinely interested in his company ever since meeting Melody. "Straight to the point, I see. I have nothing going on any time soon, so I won't mind spending time getting to know you. As for flying, is it something you cannot do?" He paused for a moment, then finished answering Clove's question. "It was scary at first, but as you get used to the ability, things become more comfortable with time." He replied, waiting for Clove to speak up.

The Tea Princess nodded while Zukkah explained the connection of Oozaru being linked by a saiyan’s tail and the moon. “Fascinating” She simply added, observant at how guarded he was when she drew closer, and she smiled. It was interesting to hear her name without any of her titles from the western lands, she felt like a normal person for once, and she was elated that despite being strangers he was willing to occupy his time with her. While he might have been drawn in by her power level, Clove was intrigued by his ability to fly which was a feat that she was incapable of accomplishing when she measured the same ki signature as him, and she wanted to see him fly again despite not admitting it right away.
“Well, people around your power level signature typically do not fly, I am sure you are aware of this. Which means you are quite talented in being able to figure it out on your own and that in itself is rare. Since you can detect my power level, do you think I should attempt flying? Will you catch me if I fall?” She chuckled as she turned towards the bulwark of the ship and climbed over it to sit on the edge. “Any tips you want to share before I plunge into the shadowy depths of the sea?”
Clove mused as she swayed her shoulders side to side, looking down at the hull of the cruise ship, and then turned to look at Zukkah with brilliant crimson eyes. “Are you ready for me?”

Flying was not an easy feat to do and Zukkah knew that it may take him some time to teach her the ability, but after hearing Clove talk about how rare it was that Zukkah was able to do such a thing at his level of power, he grinned a bit. "You may be right, but it's much easier than it seems." He responded to the woman's words, watching her climb over the bulwark to sit upon the edge. "You're such a tease, but you can find out on your own if you want.." He flashed a smile toward the woman, while slowly walking forward to close the distance between them.
As her crimson eyes met with his, Zukkah stopped right where he was, taking in this oddly attractive moment. "Ready? I don't think you have the guts to jump.." He announced, as his smile faded into a smirk. The moonlight was illuminating their surroundings enough to where they could easily see one another, while the sounds of the ocean waves pushing up against the side of the cruise ship was heard from all directions.
Zukkah was obviously joking around, but he had a feeling that Clove was testing the saiyan, as if she wanted him to catch her, so he waited patiently to see exactly what the crimson eyed woman would really do. "Hmm.." Escaped his lips, as he stood there with his eye on the female.

“You caught me, Zuk-kah.” Clove said his name slowly while grinning when he called her a tease, truth be told she was enjoying what little time they were spending over the idea of flying, but he did not seem to mind when he continued the conversation. “So tell me, do you prefer that I have the guts to leap from this edge, or that I beg for your assistance? I was only going to do it if you helped me out but I am willing to take my chances, too.”
The demoness began to sway her legs from the edge, waiting for his response to the situation, and then she leaned in closer to him. In a whisper, she presented another option, “Or you can just give me a ride across the ocean since you can fly.”
In the short period of time, she was observant of everything he did or said, and he was cautious about it. Perhaps he found it difficult to be around people or at least trust them from the start. No matter what he had been through, he would have been able to see right through her, based on all of the experience he had, and the saiyan would deduce that she was simply trying to have a good time after spending it alone.
“Being able to fly, you can go anywhere your heart desires, but without a sense of direction you are left to wonder where to go. I have no sense of direction, so I am traveling on a cruise ship to see the world, so that I can find myself.” There was melancholy in her voice, it was apparent that she was avoiding negative feelings by occupying her time, and teasing him eased her thoughts. Returning to reality, she smiled, curious to what his answer would be, and she craned her neck back eagerly waiting for him to speak between joking around. “Why are you traveling alone?”
A gust of wind picked up, her demonic blood kept her body temperature the same unlike most earthlings who would shiver from the sudden chill, and she released the edge she was sitting on to pull on her long ankle length hair from being carried off. Clove remained perfectly balanced without holding the bulwark of the ship, a sign that she was more than capable from what she led on.

Zukkah raised his brow at the words that came from the mouth of Clove, causing him to smirk even more than before. Seeing that this female was doing all this on purpose had Zukkah a bit curious, so he slowly made his way over to the Bulwark and leaned over the edge on his elbows. "I have always liked a woman who begs for what she wants." He responded to Clove, while taking in her scent. It was then that the saiyan knew she wasn't human or saiyan, so it peaked his curiosity more than usual. "A ride across the ocean? Is that all m'lady would be interested in tonight?" He asked curiously.
As Clove mentioned that she was traveling around to see the world, Zukk glanced up to the bright moon and smiled, before turning his attention back to the red eyes of Clove. "Have you ever just felt useless? Like this world and those all around it are just better without you? I did some bad things in the past and I'm not sure if I can even make up for what I have done." He paused and looked off toward the ocean, wondering if he could even go on about his short time with Marjhan. "I think it is time for a change, Clove." He finished, as he looked in her direction with a slight smile forming across his face.

“You’re kidding.” Clove was astonished, the demoness was talented in her manner of speaking, and accepted the challenge of pleading a bit more than she was used to. All her life, people catered to her whims, and she was motivated to utilize her feminine wiles to accomplish his desire. The closer he drew himself to her, the stronger the hidden scent of ash and brimstone lingered in the wind, it was masked with the tea-infused aromas of her recently washed hair, and floral citrus perfume she was wearing. It was not the first time he had come across this hidden scent in particular.
With her long chestnut hair draped over her shoulder, she parted her glossy lips, and slowly combed her fingers through her own strands in an attempt to seduce him with one look. “It would make me the happiest woman in the world to enjoy the moonlight with you. If you please? Perhaps I can offer a kiss in exchange?” Clove kissed her the tips of her fingers and blew her ki signature in his direction. With a widening smile she chuckled demurely, surprised in herself for attempting such a lucrative performance, but she was enjoying every minute of it.
“Believe me, no matter how strong you are, there are some things that are completely out of your control. The past will never change, the future remains a mystery, but the present… well, we must do our best to enjoy it while it’s still here. Right now, we’re in control of our own destiny. So what do you say?” She leaned in just inches from his face, “Let’s stop thinking about the past and enjoy the present. Shall, we? Do you want to share with me what your idea of a good time is?”
The tea princess was raised to be a blade master, talents that would strike fear among the common people who laid eyes on her crimson odachi blade, and despite how strong she was it was not enough to protect her heart from breaking. Perhaps Zukkah was wise enough to see that she found their exchange to be in good humor. In truth, she wanted to try a few things for the first time, and that included her first kiss.

The more Zukkah spoke to this woman, the more attractive she became to him. Her personality was more than he could handle, but he had a feeling that would change over time. When Clove was surprised by how the saiyan enjoyed the begging, Zukk let out a slight chuckle. "Do it, beg me.." He said to the woman with a smile appearing over his face. As he closed the distance between the two, this amazing scent entered the saiyan's nostrils and instantly made the woman seem more than inviting.
The saiyan seemed to be lured in with the scent, followed by the seductive look Clove gave him as she combed her fingers through her hair. "Now I am not too sure if you need to beg for what you want..You can do as you please, m'lady." He talked in a low tone of voice, while staring into the red eyes of the woman. As she kissed her finger tips and blew her own ki signature toward him, Zukkah inhaled the scent blown at him, while beginning to form a grin upon his lips. "Dangerous, I fucking love it." He announced to the woman.
Once Clove was able to respond to Zukkah's questions, he couldn't take it anymore. The emotions were brewing up within the warrior, causing him to feel as if he was floating away. Zukk felt the woman's breath upon his own face, that is literally how close she was to him. He pushed forward, kissing the woman without any regrets, while moving his hands to her cheeks, then pulling at her hair a bit with his right hand. As the kiss continued, Zukkah began to lift them both up from the ship, floating higher and higher with each passing second.

Clove pleaded with her eyes, her body language, and finally made her attempt to entice him further. It was exciting to be so crass rather than the princess she was raised to be. The saiyan called it dangerous, as he drew closer, she half closed her eyes to lean in towards his face at the same time, and was surprised that his lips met hers. At first she merely desired to kiss his cheek, she never imagined a stranger would be tempted to lock lips so willingly, and she felt herself melt from heat. She was brought back to reality when he pulled her hair slightly, she draped her arms around his neck, and embraced him for another kiss with quivering lips. For once, she was nervous, due to lack of experience, but curiosity had brought them together this fateful evening. Soon what she lacked in before would dissipate with every second they spent in each other’s arms. Filled with emotions that synchronized with Zukkah’s, she found herself carried off into the air, he kept his promise of carrying her away across the ocean, and she pulled away from him to drink the view with wonder that reflected on her crimson eyes.
“You’re amazing!” Clove laughed feeling weightless, she released his neck, arched her back and outstretched her hands to let the chill breeze graze the surface of her skin for a brief moment then meeting his eye again. “I have never done anything like this before...you’re the only person in the world that I know who can fly. You must understand how special you are being so talented. It has taken me more than ten times your power level to accomplish the art of flight.”
The tea princess blushed, slightly embarrassed for admitting being able to fly herself but mostly how long it had taken her to accomplish it as well, she was a martial artist that was not quite a master. With her heart beating so fast, she found it difficult to speak in her excitement, and her arms wrapped around his neck again.
“I would show you but I want to enjoy being embraced by you a little bit longer, Zukkah. It’s like the void in my chest is being filled with emotions I never thought I was capable of feeling before...”
An apathetic expression remained on her face for a moment until the bangs that framed her jawline fluttered across her rose tinted cheeks, it tickled the surface of her skin, whenever she took flight being able to control the speed kept her hair out of her face, but being carried along was entirely different force. It was like a rollercoaster without a track, every movement was unpredictable, and she enjoyed it to the fullest.

As the saiyan took off into the sky above with his hand gently wrapped around the back and waist of Clove, he began to chuckle at how excited she had become. Her voice alone had him lured in from the start and Zukkah's heart was racing more than usual, probably because he had never had any type of fun like this before in his entire life. "As are you, m'lady." He responded, as the woman released his neck, causing him to hold her a bit closer. She leaned back to enjoy the breeze, which had Zukkah smiling wide. When she looked in his direction, he couldn't help but to smile wide. "It is a great ability, is it not? Before I ventured down a dark path in my life, I was a warrior who was determined to get stronger. During my time training, I was pushed to limits in a situation where if I did not fly, I would have fell to my death." He said to the dark haired woman.
Zukkah may have done a lot of bad in his past, but it was time for the saiyan to make a change for himself and for those he promised of his redemption. With the ocean far below them, Zukkah was going to give Clove exactly what she wanted in the first place. He pulled her close and smiled, as he glared into her beautiful red eyes. "Hold on, Clove." He said in a soft tone of voice, then descended from their location to get closer to the ocean, while flying off into the distance at a steady speed. "There is a vast world before us, what would m'lady like to do from here?" He asked, as he looked down at her red irises with a smile as usual.

The free fall feeling was something that she had not felt in a long time since she learned how to fly. It was instinctual to be in full control the entire time because it required focus to utilize the ki for the sky art dance of martial arts. As Zukkah drew near the waves, she reached out with her hand to touch the open sea water, and listened to his every word. A life or death situation was quite serious. The experience must have been quite daunting, while she never faced a situation like it, she had close family members die because there was nothing she could do to prevent it. Clove embraced him then, burying her face on his shoulder for a second to recollect herself, and smiled.
“After everything you have been through, I am glad you survived. How about a little piece of paradise to make up for all those bad past memories?” She looked and pointed over to a tiny island nearly with a couple of palms but was otherwise barren. “Over there.”
The tea princess kissed his cheek and slipped out of his grasp towards the island by taking flight herself. It was proof that she had been teasing him all along because she wanted to see him fly again and in that moment was lured into temptation suitable to their attraction for each other. As she stood at the barren grassy island, she fired a ki blade with her bare hand in chopping motion, to cut it all in one swoop, the blades of grass were carried off by the wind. A tiny dynocapsule case was pulled out from between breasts, from within her black and white striped halter swim top, and she clicked several capsules down. Each colorful cloud revealed a fire pit, chopped wood, a hammock, and an entire self powered mini fridge. In no time, she loaded the fire pit with a few logs from the pile that was up to her waist, and set the logs on fire with a concentrated ki blast from her red painted finger nail tip.
The fire roared as it engulfed the logs and more were added to increase the flames. The hammock was tied between two palm trees, it was large enough for two, and she bent down to look into the fridge to pick through the drinks and snacks. Taking a brilliant red apple, she bit down on it, and looked over to Zukkah who hovered in the air.
“What kind of drink would you like? I am confident I have everything.” Clove smiled as she took another bite of her apple.

With the wind pushing against his face and the ocean water so close, Zukkah held on to Clove so she wouldn't fall into the depths of the water below. Feeling her warm embrace caused the saiyan warrior to smile, even lean his head upon her own but only for a brief time. It seemed as if time stood still during that brief moment, but the sound of Clove's voice had caused him to shake off the distraction and smile lightly. When the woman pointed out the small island not too far from where they were, the saiyan smirked and gave the woman a slight nod. "As you wish, m'lady." He replied to the woman, before she would kiss his cheeks and slip out of his grasp.
As the warrior tried to reach out and grab the woman, Clove managed to fly off, teasing Zukk the whole time they were chatting. The saiyan grinned wide, then gave himself a boost to try and watch up to her. "Clever woman! Seems you have already given me more than paradise. " He called out, while continuing to try and catch up to Clove, but the woman was far too fast for the saiyan.
As Clove landed in the barren grassy island, she instantly conjured up a ki blade and began to slice away at the tall grass. Zukkah hovered not too far behind her, watching her cut through the grass with ease. The view he had was obviously amazing, so he made sure to stay behind Clove as long as possible. Just when she stopped, she pulled some capsules out from her breast and threw them to the ground. Each one had their own color and different pieces of furniture for their outdoor adventure. "Hey, where the hell can I get my hands on some of those? Can they carry anything?" He asked in a curious manner.
Once Clove filled the fire with the logs, it seemed to roar to life, so Zukkah grinned and walked over to the hammock and laid himself down, while staring up to the night sky. The saiyan listened to Clove's question and smiled. "Surprise me." He announced in response to Clove. He looked over to the woman as she reached down for the drinks and couldn't help but to grin at what he was seeing. "You didn't tell me that the view from here would be amazing." Zukk let out a slight chuckle, then put his attention back to the stars above.

“A strong saiyan like yourself should be leading, not following.” Clove noticed he remained behind her, even if it was done purposely because he explained that he was admiring the view, and she smiled at him accepting that an isolated island was more than enough. The tea princess was surrounded by people her entire life, being alone with someone in the middle of the ocean, was more than relaxing, it allowed her to be herself for a change. After browsing through the fridge she pulled out a large bottle of champagne, taking the time to twist off the wire cap, and popping off the cork. Instead of glasses she drank right of the bottle then handed it for Zukkah to take as she rolled onto the hammock next to him.
“I was taking a wild guess about the view, it is further away from the city that the pollution doesn’t interfere with the atmosphere. Champagne is the most appropriate, I am entering the West City Women’s World Martial arts tournament tomorrow night, so something light would be suitable to celebrate this fine evening.” After a pause she softly spoke, “Thank you. For carrying me out here and showing me a good time. You’re a good kisser, in fact that was the first time I kissed anyone who was not family.”
With a light blush on her pale complexion she handed Zukkah the tiny tin box case with a single capsule left inside. “You can encapsulate just about anything in these when it is empty, even an entire lake if you wanted to, and if you get an upgraded case you can also materialize anything from an online catalog. It is essential for anyone who is traveling. You can keep my capsules if you like, the last capsule contains camping gear, and since I have been staying at the cruise ship I have no need for it until tonight.”
The swordswoman stretched out while on her back, her crimson red eyes looked at the stairs ahead, and while most people admired the wonder beyond planet earth she sighed instead. Stars remained unchanged in a person’s lifetime, she felt that no matter what she did, her destiny would remain the same. “So where are you from, Zukkah? Were you heading anywhere in particular before I stole your night away?”
