To say the trip from West City to Pilaf Land had been a difficult one would have been an understatement of truly titanic proportions. Beruto had literally been forced to drag his mobile home for more than ten miles along a hilly mountain road when the lumbering machine decided that it wanted to be a not so mobile home. It had taken a few more days then he had planned but the red haired young man had finally made it to his destination. Not exactly sure where they were all going to meet up though, Beruto decided the best course of action would be to stop at a gas station, fill up the motor home and then let both Kite and Cade know where he was so they could come to him.
Pulling off of the main road of what ever small town he was currently in, Beruto rolled his mobile domicile into the gas station parking lot and sent out his text messages, telling Cade and Kite each where he was and even provided the exact street address thank to his dash board mounted navigational aid.
"Hey Kite! Sorry I'm late man, RV had some trouble in the mountains. I just pulled into a gas station right off of the highway if you want to meet me here. I'm inviting a friend I made at a tournament in Central City. See you soon."
"Cade! Glad to hear you made it to this nutty place yourself. I wasn't looking forward to floating my RV around on a barge to get to the islands. Holy cow is this place weird though. Anyway, I'm stopped at a gas station right off of the main highway, enclosed a picture of my GPS for you. Got my friend from West City coming, hopefully. I'll be here for a few hours at least so let me know if you're coming. See you soon."
Obviously unless one or both of them had sprouted wings and could fly to his location, it would be some time before either would arrive, so the shirtless teen busied himself filling up the RV's fuel tank and then pulling it off to an empty corner of the parking lot to await the arrival of his friends. With nothing but time now on his hands, the shirtless red haired teen ventured around to the storage compartments on one side of the RV and pulled out a sun lounger, unfolded it and laid back to soak up some sun while his friends arrived.

Breathe in... Breathe out... there is no emotion... no thought. There is only peace. Let go of your fear... let go of your hate... hold tight to your love and devotion to the people you protect. This is the way forward. The time in the temple was just to show what I could have been. Not what I will be. Breathe in... Take in determination... Breathe out... Leave your doubts... A harsh buzz and a beeping sound broke his concentration. He had apparently forgotten to silence his phone. He opened his eyes to the small candlelit chamber he had been allowed to use in a local dojo. He dipped his hand into his pocket and fished his phone out, squinting at the artificial light as it flared to life in his hands.
Cade read Beruto's message and smiled. He shot back, "Sounds good compadre, I'll come on down. Give me 15 minutes to find the place." Cade blew the candle out and walked out of the dojo he had been meditating at and looked up to the sky. It was a nice day for flying, and he had a decent idea of where Beruto was. He jogged over to the park across the street and made sure he had enough room before he bent his legs down and jumped up to help launch himself into the sky. He shot up until he was clear of the nearby building and took his bearing to figure out Beruto's position before he shot away, flying towards the gas station Beruto had marked in his text. The wind whipped at his clothing and hair, bringing a smile to Cade's face as flying always did. It was not long until the gas station was in sight, with Beruto's big RV parked in the lot. He almost sighed with regret that is was time to stop flying already, but he did a big loop up over the parking lot and came straight down, landing with a gust of air 10 feet away from the big vehicle. After taking a moment to get his balance, Cade walked over to the Winnebago and knocked on the side door and hollered out, "Hey, Beruto! It's Cade, what's up pal?"

Beruto should have realized that he had goofed up when he pulled the lounger out of the storage compartment on the left side of the RV and then proceeded to unfold it there, rather than carrying it around to the right side of the vehicle, where the doors were. One could chalk the mistake up to absentmindedness, but in truth it was more the fault of exhaustion. The shirtless teen was still tired from his ordeal in the mountains and wasn't thinking when he set the lounger out. Indeed, almost as soon as his back hit the colorful piece of folding furniture, he was out like a light. If he had been awake, Beruto surely would have spotted his flying friend's approach and landing, instead Cade had been forced to knock on the door on the opposite side of the red haired boy's rolling home and verbally announce his arrival. Fortunately the sound of the knocking was enough to jar Beruto from his brief nap and so the teen sat up and made his way around to the right side of the motor home to greet Cade.
"Hey Cade!" the red haired boy called out as he walked around the side of the vehicle and waved to the other shirtless man. "Good to see you again How are you doing?"

His mind was still on that fight with Kite Chan, and the only way to get his mind off stuff was to exercise and that's exactly what he was doing. His body glistened as the sweat ran from his body. While he was doing his pushups, suddenly a notification came on his phone. He got up and took out the phone from his pocket, only to see the message that was sent to him. Beruto? Huh?Yes, he remember exchanging numbers with the red headed teen, but that wasn't why Kite reacted like this. He hasn't heard from the teenager for a very long time, and was extremely surprised after reading the message. He scratched his head in confusion, as he thought about how he could reply to the message… he went over to a nearby bench and took a seat to think. After five minutes he picked up the phone, and started texting. Hey dude! It's been a long while. I'm so glad that I could finally hear from you, and also glad that you are finally in the Pilaf Land. What can I say man.. a lot of stuff has been going on over here, and I haven't really been myself lately. I've been raging out more often and was recently pummeled to the ground by someone. But hey, I'll be there in a few. I'll talk to you later man. Looking forward to meet that friend of yours. Cya! He quickly stuffed the phone in his pocket, and ran over to his bike. A gas station, huh..He mounted the bike, and turned the key to start it up. He turned the handles several times, before he sailed out the park, as he headed for the gas station. While he rode his bike, at a decent speed, he saw a dark haired man, crouching in front the park's entrance before he flew off somewhere. Kite's eyebrows furrowed as he saw this, as he thought that he had sensed this man's ki somewhere before. "Have I met him before? Eh, whatever. I need to see Beruto."The gas station was a long ride from here, and it took about thirty minutes to get there. There it was, the RV, parked in some lot near the gas station, and there was that same man.. at RV.. talking to Beruto. "Huh? Was he the guy that.."
He went around with his bike, and without dismounting it, he said "Hey Beruto!"
And then, he turned to Cade. "Sir, I think I've met you somewhere, but at the same time, I don't. But.. I'm suspecting that you're that friend that Beruto met at that Championship. Any friend of Beruto is a friend of mine. Nice to meet you."WC: 456 | 456 Starting PL:

Cade smiled and walked over to the young red headed man, "I'm doing good, Beruto. Been through... some things. I've learned a lot and seen a few things I wish I hadn't, but still, good to see ya man. See you got your RV up and running, Sweet!" Upon closer inspection, Cade would appear more grounded with perhaps a bit more wisdom in his eyes. He cleared his throat and asked, "How about yourself? I can't imaging throwing the RV onto a boat would have been fun. Don't know as I could handle it myself. Be nice to be able to take a nap while travelling thought, I reckon."
Cade paused as he heard a motorcycle engine closing in, roaring in the afternoon sky. He didn't have to wait long - a white haired youth pulled up and hopped off his motorcycle. Cade watched him greet Beruto warmly and relaxed, ahh.. another friend it seems. The young man came over to greet him after Beruto, introducing himself as Kite. Cade smiled and shook his hand, "You ain't gotta call me sir, Kite. Cade is fine. Yeah, we met at that little tourney at Central City. What you fellers want to do? Want to go grab some food somewhere? I could do with a bite to eat."

"Oh, you'll have to give me a run down." the red haired boy replied after his black haired friend mentioned having had a busy few months since their last meeting. "We could have lunch if you want. I've got a bar-b-que I could set up and some steaks in the fridge." the boy went on, forwarding the thought of having a meal while they caught up. He figured by the time Kite arrived, he would be set up and cooking, so his other friend wouldn't have to wait long.
"Haha!! Yeah, she runs great most of the time." Beruto replied when Cade exclaimed that the motor home was finally working. "I've been ok. Doing lots of work at the auto shop and working on the RV in my free time. Hasn't been too interesting though. The drive down here has been about the most interesting as it's been in a while and that is taking into account lugging the old girl up a mountain." the shirtless teen went on as he moved around to to the storage compartment and started to extract the portable grill out of it's hiding place, figuring Cade would agree to lunch. Somewhere along the way though Beruto must have missed the message from Kite or lost track of time, as no sooner was he setting the legs up and standing the grill on them, then the rumbling of a hover bike engine announced the arrival of another guest to the party.
Looking up once the grill was set, Beruto spotted the hover bike making an orbit of the area before descending and setting down before the two men. Silhouetted against the bright blue sky, Beruto couldn't make out who the flyer was, but now that they had landed, the red haired boy at once recognized Kite and smiled. "Hey your self stranger! Where have you been hiding yourself?" Beruto joked and then added "Nice ride though. I was just going to throw on some steaks for lunch, unless you guys would like to do something else."

"Ah, well in that case, nice to meet you Cade. Yeah, a bite would be nice." Once Beruto acknowledged Kite's presence, Kite smiled at his red haired friend. "Ah, I picked up this ride somewhere. But that's not the point. You're the same old red headed chump I remembered you to be. It's been a long while, bud. How's life? Looks like the RV's going on strong. Now get out that steak before I bury my fist in your abs." He laughed after saying this, and as he did this, he remembered when they first met. It was mostly because of Kite. He went to the public park, and decided to exercise.. you know.. to take his mind off some stuff, then he met Beruto. Kite still didn't get why Beruto wanted Kite to punch him the stomach really hard, to the point where he hanged himself on a tree branch by the arm. But, now wasn't the time to bring up. It was time to just have fun, and eat some barbeque. "So, Cade.. when you first met Beruto, did he ask you to punch him in the stomach really hard? Because..." At that point, he couldn't even control himself. He started to laugh before he had finished asking Cade the question. "Oh god, sorry. Because.. when we first met, I asked him for a spar and.. man.. he was all like.. 'Yo Kite, punch me really hard'. It's still funny."WC: 242 | 698 Starting PL:

Cade's stomach rumbled at the mention of steak, and he nodded, "Sounds great to me. Ain't too many things in life better than grilling a steak while hanging out with friends. Except maybe eating it of course." He walked around and joined Beruto by the grill as the red haired boy grabbed the steaks out of the fridge and prepped them for cooking. He looked to Kite while the Beruto was grabbing the steaks, "So, you all met by beating each other up to, huh? I will admit, Beruto and I's meeting was at a sanctioned tourney, but I have been known to get into a scrap here and there myself. Comes with the territory of being a martial artist sometimes, eh?"
Cade was silent for a moment, struck by how young these two fighters were. Both strong, even if they were only starting out on the path of the warrior. The sound of sizzling steak hitting the hot crosshatches on the grill brought him back to the present moment. The initial sear of the meat was already releasing a heavenly scent and he breathed it in deeply, enjoying it. He started to tell Beruto a little about the time that had passed since their parting, "Whelp, I went to the south islands for a bit to help my good friend Kiryu do a bit of work on the clean up for the damage that the giant shark did down that way. We went to some sort of magic place down there... he's a wizard or magic type person of some type. I promise I'm not crazy. Anyway, we helped free this island and built a stronghold there. I come up here to help investigate some sort of dark temple... but I don't really want to talk about what happened there."
Cade's voice faded away to nothing for a few moments, and then he picked back up, "So, you two started beating on each other in a park, huh? That sounds like an interesting way to meet. What are you guys going to get up to after this?"

From the moment he invited both of his friends to meet up he knew the meeting would be interesting, they were decidedly different personalities. All three of them were in fact, so it was going to prove to be a fascinating experiment to see if the three would get along. Alone, Beruto could get along with either just find, Kite was a teen like him, strong both in body and the head, and both enjoyed trying to show the other up. Cade on the other hand was more like an older brother, something Beruto had been lacking ever since he'd left home and dearly once more wanted to have.
Of course as soon as Kite opened his mouth though it made Beruto want to face palm, though that would be a decidedly bad idea as he had moved right on to getting lunch out of the fridge once the grill had been set up and steak on your face when you didn't have a black eye, wasn't exactly pleasant. The red haired boy didn't want to face palm so much over how goofy Kite was acting, but rather the subject he was focusing on. Their first fight had pretty much been a battle of endurance versus strength because Beruto had wanted to test himself and as always made the obvious target be his weakness. That fight ended in his being knocked out. Unfortunately in his battle against Cade at the tournament, there really was no test, Beruto had been almost completely unable to hit the man and had once more been knocked out. The difference was, while with Kite, the KO had been all in good fun, with Cade it was actually a bit embarrassing. Having Kite tease him about his self testing put the red haired teen on the defensive, so of course he had to fire back and try to salvage his ego some.
“Heh, well sounds like you've got a bit of a one track mind there Kite. And last I checked, you challenged me to hang from that tree.” Beruto returned as he set the plate with the raw steaks down on a fold out arm of the grill. “I also got you back for the KO too.” he was sure to add in. Turning his attention toward the task at hand, the shirtless teen set about preparing the mid day meal and listened to the other's exchange, then pipped back in when it was his turn again, addressing Kite's question about what he'd been up to and the commented about the motor home first.
“I've mostly been working. Had to build up the money to go on this camping trip after all. And you missed it, the RV broke down and I literally had to pull it for something like ten miles to get the parts to fix it. That was one sweaty day.” Beruto replied, beaming about how he hauled the rolling house through the mountains.
“And it sound like you've been really busy Cade.” he continued, shifting his attention from Kite and the cooking steak, to Cade and the cooking steak. “Land sharks though? That's some pretty tall tale there.” he joked, not actually believing everything the man said, but clearly he had been through a trying time in the past several weeks. “As for our plans, I don't think we really have any. Just travel around really. I can't go back home, not for a while at least, so the RV is my home. What about you?”

Cade cocked an eyebrow at Kite, he seemed... excitable. He was certainly enthusiastic, Cade had to give him that. Kite hopped up and said something about going to get some beef jerky and walked off. He looked over to Beruto after he judged the other youth was out of earshot and wryly asked, "Is he... always like that? He's certainly a different one. Seems enthusiastic though." Cade listened to Beruto's tale and whistled when he heard he had been forced to drag it for 10 miles after it broke down, "Dang, Beruto, if nothing else that must have been a good workout. Did you figure out what the problem was? I'm not much of a mechanic like you are, but I could maybe help fix it if you need an extra set of hands. Mostly I've worked on tractors... but engine knowledge should translate ok, I reckon." Cade scratched at his head and considered Beruto's question as he watched the steak cook over the flames kiss. "Yeah, I didn't see the land sharkk my own self, but it was on the news, and I saw the aftermath. As far as what I have going on... Well, I've set up shop in the Southern Isles, actually. I seem to have gotten involved with some kind of wizard prison jail thing. Guys named Kiryu and Zorro is who I went there with, we set up a bit of a stronghold there, so that's kind of my base of operations fer now. Have you met Kiryu? Hell of a nice guy, I'll have to introduce y'all some time." Cade leaned against the RV and shrugged, "As far as what I'm doin right now... I'm fixin' to eat a steak with my buddy and eventually make my way back down to the isles, then wherever I feel like I need to go.... It's been a while, have you seen Kite? Where did he go anyway? It's been a few more than long enough to grab some jerky."

"Oh Kite? Yeah, he's got more energy that me I think, or maybe I just focus it better. Regardless he's always all over the map." Beruto replied and within moments the steaks were sizzling away on the grill, releasing their heavenly aroma of cooking meat. "Oh you bet, hauling this thing through the mountains was about the best workout I've ever had. Took all day to do it too." the boy added in response to his friend's inquiry about the motor home. "And yeah, I fixed the original problem easy enough, it was just a slipped choke cable, but it had over stressed the starter so badly the poor thing burned out. With only about twenty miles of range in the traction battery I had to make up the difference with good old muscle power to get to the nearest town and get a new starter. She's running great now though."
"So you worked on a farm too?" the boy asked. "My parents are farmers, it's where I learned all about engines. I actually have a job back in West city with an auto shop working on big stuff. Maybe if we are ever both there at the same time you could earn some cash there too." Beruto continued as he opened the lid of the grill and turned the steaks over. "Shame Kite ran off, but I guess since it's already out and cooking that's more lunch for us." he chuckled and closed the lid. Cade brought up traveling south and meeting up with some wizardy guy, which sounded fun to Beruto, though again the thought of loading the RV onto a ferry didn't sit well with the boy.
"Maybe I will come with you then and meet this guy. Though we are going to have to do something about the Eagle here." he waved his spatula at the motor home. "She doesn't float and I am sure as hell not going to get that wing package for her. Flying scares the crap out of me."

"Yeah. That's kinda what happened. A bit weird, but funny. I didn't dare you to hang yourself by the arms on the tree. Wait.. maybe I did, but you accepted. That's what matters. Man, you're like those guys that don't have a problem with feeling pain. I must admit though, I didn't expect you to get back at me with that KO."
He said, after listening to what Cade and Beruto had to say about the incident that had the two meeting each other.
"A temple, hm? That's why your ki felt so.. familiar? You went to that weird temple. I had to fight a female version of me."
He said, assuring Cade that it was not worth talking about, but he still spilled the beans. It wasn't even worth talking about. That Kite-Chan had him thinking a lot about.. life. Just mentioning it caused him to feel a bit.. sad and angry so he told Cade and Beruto that he went to get some jerk beef. Well, he left his bike, as he was planning to come back. He took a long time to actually get back to the mobile home. The sad part about it is, the place that he went to didn't exactly have what he wanted. What a pity. He came back, giving Case and Beruto the disappointing news.
"Oh, sorry for worrying you guys. They didn't have any jerk beef. Man, now I'm really hungry."
The smell of the grilled meat had his stomach growling. To be fair, he was working out before he got here, so something to eat wouldn't hurt.
"So, what did I miss? What have you been up to, Beruto?"
