[I]
Cool lavender eyes searched the milling throngs of park attendees and tourists alike. The sheer number of people within Pilaf Land made finding her a daunting task. Never had a challenge presented itself in such a manner, but it had never been in Korr's nature to quit before he'd given a task his utmost gesture. It was all a matter of predicting his pet's actions. "Hmm..." Korr tapped a long, tapered finger against his chin as he pondered his next course of action. This particular area was filled with an assortment of game booths. Booth masters stood out front, bellowing to attract the crowd's attention, promising exciting prizes for the lucky winners. His nose caught a whiff of something delicious to his right. Bingo.
Korr traveled south from the Northern Kingdoms after his most recent visit back home. He could not return to the tiny hut where Gran had raised him—it was far too dangerous for that. His enemies could have laid a trap. Korr's heart longed to see his old home, but duty outweighed nostalgia and with a doleful gaze from a safe distance, he nestled his eyes upon his birth place one last time. Sorrow filled his heart and stole his peace. He needed something to lift his spirits, and Pilaf Land was the most logical place to do so. Until Glacia grabbed that poor child's head scarf and scurried off among the people. Pilaf Land was too lively for her.
"Pardon me. Excuse me. Might I get through?" Honeyed words flowed from lips well versed in placating strangers with good manners. It was too crowded to traverse without effort, yet enough elbow room existed press through the crowds without much trouble. In most places he stood out in his thick white cloak, yet garbed as he was in his priestly clothing, Korr noted very few paid much attention to him. With his snow white mane swept into a long ponytail and a calm smile gracing his rather youthful face, Korr did little to stand apart from the crowd or draw attention to himself. There—his nose led him to a particular food vendor. Dyno Cakes. They were little more than baked dough in the shape of Dyno Caps and doused with powdered sugar, but the invigorating smell was enticing enough to draw even the stoutest of men. No doubt a curious beast like Glacia would have been snagged with such a lure. "I know you're here, little one. Come on out—we'll need to be returning that scarf, okay?" Korr stepped behind the busy stall to find Glacia nestled against the back wall of the booth, nomming on a stolen pastry with a swish of her fluffy tail. "Glacia..." His tone, now firm, was a clear warning. Glacia let out a playful yip, snagged her prize—abandoning the head scarf for her new tasty morsel—and darted off among the crowd yet again. At least he found the scarf. But now Glacia was lost again among the wayfaring crowd, and it was growing denser by the minute.
He let out a soft sigh.
Finding Glacia was of the utmost importance to Korr. She was his oldest companion, a gift from Nasha so many years ago. Nasha had died long ago, but her memory lived on in Glacia's lovable, feisty nature. For that reason, she would not wholly abandon him. But he did not favor the idea of her being lost in this park alone. Korr retrieved the scarf from the ground and dusted it off. Glacia snatched it off the poor fellow's head and took off into the crowd. It was only fitting to return it to its rightful owner. Glacia was a stubborn and powerful creature, despite appearances to the contrary. She could fend for herself a few more minutes.
Now to find the boy whose scarf had been nabbed. Korr held it tight in his clutches, unwilling to allow it to befall any more peril. No matter how large or small, a good deed was a good deed. He found the youth soon and approached with a smile, scarf held aloft in his delicate hand. "I believe this belongs to you? My apologies. You'll have to excuse my companion. She can be easily excitable around large, strange crowds of people." He smiled and raised his hand—a customary greeting among friends and strangers in the North. "I am Korr. It is a pleasure to meet you, Master...?" He waited to hear the youth's name. It was only fitting.

Wandering around the area was the one thing that could take his mind off anything that he was thinking about. He walked almost a mile.. well.. this time, he didn't go shirtless. His adopted father had finally shown up, and the first thing that he told him to do, after seeing him, was to put on a shirt. What a surprise. Nero had made a special suit for him, and though he refused to wear the shirt, he was still forced to. The park on which he entered had a really pleasant smell.. it smelt like cake. Dyno Cake they call it? Well, it wasn't ready to eat anything. He went over to a nearby bench and removed his shirt. Laying it on that same bench, he went down on the ground, to start his exercise. He started with some push ups and while he did this.. he was thinking about.. everything. Like he always does. I still can't believe that Nero took that long to get to the Pilaf Land. I swear, I'm going to confront him about this. I'll never for get that stupid dark skinned ganster that underestimated my power. How dare he? I'm going to pummel him to the ground so hard the next time I see him..And then finally, he came to his most recent enemies. I curse the day I met that bastard. He didn't even say sorry. I had to apologize. I get the fact that he wanted to show me something about life, and he did, but it was just the way he did it. There was no reason to humiliate me like that.. and for that.. I'll never forgive him. I'll get stronger than before.. and show him that next time.. I won't be a pushover. Also, the fact that Cayle was Ty's boyfriend. Yes, she did state this information to him about her having a boyfriend named Cayle, and that he was at that event when Beruto and Kite were stranded, but.. he didn't actually think that it would be.. that Cayle.. that Cayle that broke his self esteem. Looking at this, it's obvious that it would take forever for him to get over this. Kite's mind wasn't even.. where his body was.. it was lost in his thoughts. His body glistened as the sweat ran from his body profusely. He was at about seventy push ups.. when he saw that fox-like creature came in front of his face, grabbed his head scarf and scurried off somewhere. "What the.."Where could that thing go with his head scarf, which was gifted to him by his adopted father years ago? That thing was valuable, and that was the only reason for him to have a grimacing expression on his face. To be fair.. after his fight with Cayle, he has been trying extremely hard to control his anger issues, which seems to get worse everyday he thinks about everything that bothers him. He got up from the ground, and looked around the crowded park, and.. there was no sign of it. Kite.. was seriously pissed now. "Once I catch that.. thing, I'm going to.."He paused, thinking about what he was about to say. Instead of continuing, he just took a seat on that bench, and sat there, taking in the aroma of Dyno Cakes to calm down. He hasn't forgotten about the head scarf though. He was planning to look for it after he got some rest. Sitting there for about ten minutes, he got up, and picked up his shirt, when suddenly, someone approached him with his head scarf, and that companion of his. He was dressed in a very priest-like outfit, and he referred to Kite as 'Master'. "Man, I was just about kill that da-"He said, before pausing. He took a deep breath before continuing. "I meant.. Thank you. Master? I don't think you have to refer to me as Master, though it would be nice. You could just call me Kite."WC: 667 | 667 Starting PL:

The young master seemed angry, and rightfully so.
Korr closed his eyes and inclined his head in an act of humble contrition. He knew he was responsible for Glacia's actions, so he could not blame the young man. It was lucky she hadn't taken anything more vital to his person, such as a shoe or some personal affect—she was known to snatch and grab just about anything she could get her little paws on.
But there was time to consider how to break her from her kleptomania later; for now, Korr nodded in agreement with the boy's sentiments, relieved that the youth seemed willing to drop the whole matter.
"Thank you, Mas— erm, Kite." A soft smile touched his lips. "I am glad to have retrieved the scarf for you. I was lucky to have found her rather quickly—she has a penchant for burying her... erm... treasures."
A sense of relief filled Korr's being. He visibly relaxed his grip on his tall wooden staff, gesturing toward the nearby food booth with the elaborately decorated crook end. Korr had yet to find a more effective salve to soothe an offense than delicious food.
"Might I treat the young master to a meal? And perhaps once we finish... you could help me find Glacia? This park is terribly large, and I must confess... I'm not entirely sure where to look."

Kite liked how this man was really humble.. and peaceful. He was calm, unlike Kite. "You know.. I.. have an anger problem sometimes.. and uhh.. I hope you don't hate me for that. I try my best to control it, but it doesn't work at all. This wasn't that much of a large matter, so I guess that's why it worked this time. Nice to meet you. If you accidentally call me 'Master', it's ok. It's not that much of a problem."He confessed, after which greeting Korr with a smile. It was a day to have a little fun, especially since he had literally just exercised until everything went from his mind. Once Korr offered to treat Kite to a meal, he was stunned for a moment. Why was this so? Well.. Nero has never actually carried Kite out for a meal or anything.. It was mostly just train, train, train. Train to become one of the strongest human beings on this planet. But.. eh.. Kite couldn't refuse this offer, not even a little. "Oh, sure thing. Well, if you want to. But if you do, I'll surely help you to find Glacia. I'm not trying to ask for any favours here."
Kite walked over to the area in which the Dyno Cakes were, and as the aroma went through his nostrils, a warm feeling went through his body. "You know.. those Dyno Cakes looks good and smells good. I'd would like to have one of those.. you should probably try it. It might actually taste delicious. But first, let me taste it."WC: 264 | 931 Starting PL:

Korr's brow rose at the youth's confession of being short-tempered. Most strangers were not so forthcoming with truths that lay well-hidden beneath the surface, sometimes for years even among the closest of allies. Such a truth could only mean that Kite may have been too young to understand that in addition to his anger, he also demonstrated great humility. Kite was no more than a looking glass. Although the complex panes boasted varying shades of prismatic color, his soul seemed simple and plain compared to most. "I fear our emotions often make poor slaves of us all. Do not fret—you mortals are a strange lot. You can remain set in your ways for years, or change at a moment's notice—an admirable quality, to be sure."
He couldn't help himself. He was always parting with wisdom for the benefit of others. It was his nature, and much like a leopard would be hard pressed to change its spots, so too would he struggle not to offer guidance and counsel in the face of someone's personal struggle. The youth were so impressionable these days. They seemed to chase whatever the next great popular thing might be with little regard for those values that would last a lifetime. "Shall we get in line?" Korr gestured for Kite to follow him.

Kite was glad that Korr at least accept his presence, and didn't have a problem with him. Kite knew that he could be a brat sometimes, but he always tries to keep himself calm.
"Hmm, I must say, you speak as if.. you're almost not a human being, or.. you're.. not a mortal. Are you im.. imm.. -ortal?"
It was weird. The way he said 'you mortals. It was rather puzzling. Not even Cayle talked like that. Even if Korr didn't answer, Kite would observe the area around him, the crowd. Once Korr indicated that Kite should get in line, Kite nodded his head in agreement, and joined the long line. Well, if wasn't that long. One could estimate about thirty five people in the line. It was a large park anyways, wasn't it? The lush green grass, the children running around as if they had no brain. It had Kite thinking..
Man, sometimes.. I need to live a little. Like.. I'm not even eighteen, but I'm here.. taking everything seriously. I need to meet Beruto sometime soon. He's the only one that makes me have a little.. fun. Man, I remember those times.. were we used to punch each other in the stomach until we passed out. Man, that's still funny.
As he thought about this, a smile appeared on his features. Green opal eyes were affixed at the sky for a few moments, well at least until Kite broke the silence.
"Hey Korr, what do you do on a daily basis? I think I could hang out with you a few times. We could be friends also, well.. if you want to.. we could just be.. uhh.. acquaintances.. but, you know, it's up to you really."
Finally a few people left the line after collecting their Dyno Cakes, and Kite moved up further.

The line shuffled forward. People buzzed with excitement as they awaited their turn at the booth's counter. Dough sizzled as it was dropped into the deep fryer, and a glorious scent alighted upon them all.
He felt an odd tug at his heartstrings. A soft, melancholic smile graced Korr's lips.
How strange to long for something he had never missed? Korr did not require sustenance in the same manner as Earthlings or any other race for that matter. He had gone long stretches of time with neither food nor water if necessity called for it. Most of the time it didn't.
When a long journey loomed ahead and expediency was of utmost importance, it helped not to require to bring so much food with him—often just enough to sate Glacia and tide him over until he could reach the next town proper and have a meal if he so desired.
But he wouldn't tell Kite that.
"Make no mistake, young master. I am not immortal, yet if Fate permits it so, I should live quite a long while. And perhaps within that stretch of time we could travel together? Fair warning—my travels take me far and wide on journeys into some of Earth's deepest valleys and highest peaks." Korr glanced over at him, shifting his tall staff from one hand to the other. "It would be an arduous journey to be sure, but something tells me you're quite the capable young man. Or am I wrong?"

"Mhm, yeah. You could say that. I'm capable of course. I'm capable of doing anything. Well look at me. I'm this young, but at the same time this strong. I'm extremely proud of myself I must say." He said, while a smirk appeared on his features. "I'd have to ask my father though. But at the same time, I'm ninety percent sure that he would allow me to go. Hell, he just arrived from the Central Lands after two weeks. He believes that I'm responsible and think that I can take care of myself." Even if Korr didn't answer, which Kite would find rather weird, he would just observe the area a bit more. The aroma of the Dyno Cakes was tearing Kite's guts inside out. He tapped his sneakers on the ground in anticipation as he waited for his share of Dyno Cakes. "Hmm.. as much as this might seem weird, I feel like we met for a specific reason. I don't normally admit stuff like this but.. what if we travel and I finally find a purpose? Yes. I have my goals, which is to become the strongest human being alive, but.. I think you get what I'm saying. Something other than fighting." He admitted. This was one of the other times he was actually expressing himself, the first time being.. when he first met Cayle. "Hey, let's get off the subject of my depressing life. How did you meet Glacia? Are you somewhat of a different race?" As he spoke, the line moved in a rather slow manner. This was obviously going to take a long while, but their conversation should kill sometime. WC: 276 | 1512 Starting PL:

He had a way with the people of this world.
A disarming quality about him. They tended to open themselves within days of meeting, sometimes hours. Sometimes minutes.
The young master seemed rather proud of his accomplishments. This brought a smile to Korr's face as he retrieved their Dyno Cakes and led Kite to a nearby unoccupied table. He handed both to Kite, deigning not to eat at this moment in time. He did not mind sacrificing his meal for another; something told Korr the food here might not sit well with his digestive tract.
There was much he didn't even understand about himself, though deity he was. Even his own body held mysteries he had yet to explore.
Kite remarked he believed they had met for a purpose. Korr nodded his agreement.
Fate was a fickle thing. It could change at a moment's notice, and often thrust wayward travelers together for some mysterious purpose.
"I see what you mean." He turned his lavender gaze skyward and studied the expanse of cosmos overhead. "There is much we will never come to understand, I'm afraid. But such things do exist, I believe. Sometimes... you just know it."
He tapped a finger to his heart to emphasize his point. Destiny was not something to behold with the eyes, and was far too abstract to capture in conscious thought.
"Be that as it may... I cannot say whether or not it is our destiny to travel together. Far be it from me to fill your mind with delusions of grandeur about my travels. They are long, difficult, and arduous. Often times, I wander about seeking... something." A sheepish grin touched his lips, though his gaze remained melancholic. "I suppose you aren't the only one looking for... something." A champion, to be more precise. "Speaking of which... how are you with swords, Master Kite?"

That conversation sure did the job, as they finally collected their Dyno Cakes and took a seat at the nearest unoccupied table. Once Korr handed the Dyno Cake to Kite, it was rather obvious that he didn't want to eat, so Kite decided not to ask. Man, these pastries were something. It had Kite digging in like he had never eaten before. The taste.. it was heavenly. Well, Kite even forgot his manners. There were crumbs all over his face, and he looked at Korr with his opal green eyes wide open. "Oh, sorry."Quickly, he used the napkin which was handed to him, began to listen to Korr as he did so. He shook his head at every word Korr had to say, and picked up where he left off after. Swords? Hmm.. "Oh.. I'm not exactly sure. I've always used my ki to fight. Like.. throwing ki blasts and all, and even found a way to manipulate it, so that it can look similar to a dragon's head. But.. I think they're cool."Immediately, he raised his hands in front him, and charged up a white ki blast, and it crackled with electricity. "See?"As he expected it to, it was in the form of a dragon's head. He was tempted to throw it, but.. he remembered the last time he did that without an extremely good reason to, so.. he squashed it instead. "You know.. I just.. want everyone to see me as a good person. Yes, my anger issues get in the way all the time, and it always gets me in trouble, but I'd like to change that. I hope we could actually travel together. Hmm.. I think my friend, Beruto, might join us.. but probably not. I might try to call him and ask though. Well.. since we're finished eating, why don't we try to find Glacia, and while we do so, we could talk about.. hmm.. you travel experiences. Tell me what normally happens when you travel."WC: 334 | 1846 Starting PL: 9806

This youth had a rigorous appetite. He devoured both Dyno Cakes within the span of a few minutes, and upon Korr noticing this, seemed to feel a hint of embarrassment as he quickly tried to brush the crumbs from his face. The ice deity cleared this throat lightly and averted his gaze in a show of respect. It wasn't his place to judge the manner and verocity with which Master Kite ate his food. He had long since learned that the younger a person was, the more voracious their appetite could be. Manners also played a special role, and Korr would have eaten much like a starved youth himself if his Gran hadn't drilled the aspect of proper dining into him.
Once more, Kite felt the need to apologize for his behavior. He knew he had problems with his anger, and perhaps Korr's act of kindness in treating him to a meal was triggering within him a desire to make amends for his outburst. The sentiment was touching. Korr smiled softly, inclining his head. This boy was an enigma, that was for certain. He seemed to want to do good, and bring good into this world. So many were concerned with themselves, and it was refreshing to see such a youth like Kite. "I'm sure you will bring great good and prosperity to others. Always remember—your actions make a difference. If you are done with your meal, let's go find Glacia." Korr stood from his place and led the way toward the nearest carnival ride. The larger the crowd, the more likely Glacia would be there, dashing between people's legs and feet as she sought to join in the festive atmosphere. He made one more friend today. It was one more than he had the day before, and as Fate saw fit, they would explore this world together.

"Mhm."Kite said, totally agreeing to what Korr had to say. Kite's life revolved around that statement. He would always do bad stuff, and suffer the consequences for them. The fight with Cayle is a great example of this. The way Kite spoke to him was actually wrong. His tone was disrespectful, and now Kite realizes that he deserved it. Now, it was time to find Glacia. Kite followed Korr into the large crowd, and they both splitted up, in order to find Glacia. He looked through the crowd, to see if she was running through the people's legs. Oh well. After ten minutes for searching endlessly, there was no sign of her. Hm, it seemse that it would be time to go back to the table to see if Korr got a hold of her, but once he got there, he wasn't there yet. Kite actually wanted to help, and felt a bit sad for not finding Glacia. But, eh. He was at least sure that Korr would find her, even though that was a really huge crowd.
