Jeez, this place was spooky. Ty wasn't kidding about how dark it was either, huh? The blue-haired girl wandered through the corridors, dressed up in an armoured, mechanical suit over her whole body of a silvery colour with green accents to it, bar her head. There was a cloak hanging off of her, the hood pulled down since it would wreck her hair, and it wasn't even any good for fighting. It just looked cute. Oddly, there was some music playing in the corridor, emanating from her suit. It was some strange, melancholy lo-fi number that played as she was almost going cross-eyed with the focus she had on the phone in her hand, not even looking where she was walking. This was bogus - no way Lili was going to go out with her. She considered deleting the message she just sent, but her inner voice, usually her mom's, told her that a Saiyan warrior didn't chicken out. Still, that was why she was here! Konja knew she had to let off some steam and train at least a little so her mother didn't totally body her in this week's spar, and Ty had let her in on this little place.
It was radical, apparently. You could come here and fight another you! At least, those were the stories. The place would make a copy of you and you could take them on, and they were just as tough, in different ways. Even if Konja didn't realise it, this temple probably held the most danger of anywhere in her world - it was almost idyllic outside of this. She was a prime example of the unity it experienced, even between Saiyans and Tuffles. The plagues were gone, and things were calm. Maybe it was that peace that made her complacent enough to walk in here without even informing the mayor of her little town where she was going, not least her parents either. Besides, what was he gonna do? Become a jaguar and bite at her ankles? Konja headed down some steps in what seemed like the only corridor the entire place had, actually slipping and stumbling down a couple of the stairs before she let out a grumble and finally put her phone away. Entering the room the staircase finally led all the way down to, her dark eyes widened at seeing that it looked like some kind of odd lab, but not the type she was used to. Her dad was always more an engineer, and this looked like a biologist's place. There were operating tables and tools used for dissections, and what looked like odd tubes all around the walls, lining them from one end to the other.
In much the same way as her counterpart, the prime version of Konja would be led to this room from the moment she entered, with there being no other way forward or back. The blue haired girl grew a massive grin the moment she saw her counterpart, clearly very eager to see her, and to not let anything else get a word in edgeways. "Oh, look at you! You've got the same face and everything! Sisters!" The girl pointed between the Prime Konja and herself, clearly very pleased with the situation. "Man, you're so tall, though. Just don't dodge around too much when I punch at you, kay?" It was clear to her now that she had taken more after her tuffle ancestry when it came to height, being a good half-foot short of where prime Konja reached. The girl's helmet seemed to suddenly fold up over her head, and she spoke with a mechanical filter over her voice once it closed. "You've got dark hair and everything! Looking real Saiyan over there, sis."

By this point, Konja had seen so many different variations of what her life might have been given other times, places, even names and natures, that she decided to just brush it all aside. Intrusive visions were unwelcome, and only distracted from the task at hand of finding her friends. Of meeting with the other self... the one whose world was truly, physically connected to hers. But just how would this one she would meet be different? How would they be similar? As if to answer that question, the Temple itself seemed to give her a clue. Konja found herself in a place that invoked a certain deja vu. Perhaps it was the efficient standardisation that the Tuffles established, which gave an eerie sense of familiarity to all of their bio-labs, whether on Planet Aspic, Weetsop's base on that alien moon, or even the installation she assaulted back on Planet Plant. This was where they did the dirty work of tampering with their Saiyan victims. Cutting them open, taking things out, putting other things in, taking things out, twisting them somehow, then putting them back in, taking things out without replacing them just to see what that would do... Pricking them with needles - her skin crawled at the very sight of a number of them, mounted on mechanical arms, or at the end of syringes sitting on tool trays. Needles, which they would stick into various places. They would pump substances in, suck blood - or other substances - out, and perform various similar processes on them. Reliving this nightmare was far more difficult than she had first thought. And she was pretty sure she had already steeled herself well against such Tuffle intimidation. Her breathing hastened, as the memories of the experiments poured in, including the one that took her tail away. It would grow back after some time. But they would keep cutting it out. Again, and again. Day after day, at first. Then its regrowth slowed to a weekly affair... then monthly... then slower still. The last time she had seen her tail was three years before they put her into stasis. By that point, they had decided it was gone for good, and she agreed with them fully. Which was another reason why she hated them so much. They took away her freedom. But that could be fought for. They took away her strength. That could be regained. But they weren't content to take her tail away once. They did it again, and again, and again. And once it finally stopped growing back... they all knew as well as she did, that they had taken away her pride. They had taken away her ability to access the greatest of Saiyan powers, the ascension to the form of the Great Ape, and with it, the potential to attain the legendary form of the Super Saiyan. It was a sudden jolt to be pulled out of those barbaric recollections, when she heard her own voice, in a tone she could only ever attribute to say, someone like Achido. "Sisters...?" she muttered back. This was the self that the Temple chose for her to face. They could very well be called sisters, given their resemblance. But it was this resemblance, precisely, that made the differences stand out so much more. A cool blue colour that one might find on humans, Tuffles, perhaps even demons, if she'd had time to meet more after the Baron... A shorter stature, and this... casual, if enthused attitude. Sister. Most importantly, however, she wore not any attire that was suitable to the unrestrained, raw, fleshy combat preferred by the Saiyan warrior. Instead, she was clad in the cold metal of what could easily have been a more personalized variation of the Tuffle army's vicious armoured soldiers who swooped in on giant metal birds and unleashed a withering hail of bullets and energy shot. And with the laboratory all around here, the Temple's message was clear to her. This self was... somehow... a Tuffle. If not entirely in blood - she could have easily been tampered with here - then certainly in thought. Perhaps they had done to her, what Jack's father had done to him. Then they raised her into one of their own... "Sister..." her eyes began to water in a mixture of indignation and a perceived empathetic pain. This was a far greater humiliation than she had ever gone through. Konja's fists tightened. The Tuffles in this other world were even more monstrous than those in her own! Somehow! The blue-haired girl looked a bit bemused at hearing the comment from her counterpart, as though she wasn't entirely sure how to take it. She laughed awkwardly for a moment and gauged the other Konja's reaction, as though trying to test whether this was a joke she hadn't got, or she was supposed to go along with. Oh, no joke. This big Saiyan girl had watery eyes. Aw, this was so embarrassing. If her mom saw things like, she'd kick both their asses so hard, she'd get snapped back to like...flip phones. The dark ages. She shuddered at the mere thought. More, she was shuddering at what she'd just heard. God. She was literally shaking, except for the fact that she wasn't. It was on the inside. "W-Well, look, I wore the helmet earlier today, okay? It makes me frizz out!" She pushed up and seemed to adjust her hair, straightening it as she felt herself go slightly red with embarrassment. Was it really that bad? Aw, this sucked. She brought up her forearm, and a preening mirror appeared from the suit's gauntlet. She seemed fine, and even shot it a grin as a small camera on it snapped a picture. Save that for later. She felt the heat still in her face, and opened another compartment on her suit as she kept talking. "I look fabulous, babe. The dragging's not a good look for you, though." She brought out a large white paper cup from the suit's compartment, with the green corporate logo of a tough-looking Namekian on the side of it, and 'Konja' scribbled on it in felt-tip pen. There was a plastic dome on the top and a straw coming out of it, which she took a few sips from before she placed it back within her suit, where it slid back in and disappeared into a compartment. "I'm in a total rush right now sis, can't be late for mom's lecture about push-ups and junk. You like fighting too?" She seemed genuinely curious as the helmet of her suit suddenly closed over her head, showing a more threatening visage now. She seemed to take a stance as the suit actually bulked, growing in size. Small arcs of electricity began to travel across the armour as the Konja from another life soon stood tall, putting her hands on her hips and clearly feeling very impressed with herself and her look for a moment. Soon, her mind was back on her opponent and the incessant questions she had. "You go to Helix's? Ever listened to Brushstrokes and Porcelain Combs? Ooh, do you have a boyfriend? Girlfriend? There's this one girl I like, but she isn't really-" Konja shook her head, imagining her Saiyan mother giving her another yelling for getting distracted when she was supposed to be fighting. The more she watched silently at her other self, her 'sister', the more confusing her true stature became. Yes. She had the bearing, appearance, and even weaponry of a Tuffle. That could be explained enough, as she earlier surmised, by her having been altered like Jack. The way she obliviously thought the concern was for her hair. Why would a Saiyan care about fixing her hair? It had a tendency to assume its own shape, and required no such superfluous maintenance. That was possibly a Tuffle, or Earthling concern. The same way she actually bothered to check herself in what could only have been a mirror, and take her own picture with what seemed to be a camera built into her suit. Superfluous. A suit of armour with such a feature built into its vambrace would surely be a vulnerability in combat. Then she revealed a cup of what looked like a latte, and smelled like one as well. So very un-Saiyan. And yet, with complete fluidity, she casually transitioned the topic to something far more familiar. Her mother lecturing her about training. While Konja's mother had died when she was still an infant, this one's lived. Were their fortunes inverted, or were both of her parents still alive? And with such mercy that they treated her as well as any, despite her altered nature. The yam farmer turned fast food cashier wiped the tears from her face, indignation replaced by total confusion. How did she have both a Saiyan and Tuffle demanour and lifestyle? "Father always did say to have a foundation of push-ups, sit-ups, and plenty of juice..." She cracked her knuckles at the next question, something far more comfortable and familiar. Perhaps like Jack, she had managed to overcome the existential terror of having been completely altered like this. But was it really so simple? There was so much more to unpack. And there was only one way she knew would tell her more. "Of course! As a Saiyan, fighting is in my blood, heart, and soul!"Perhaps in response, her sister's helmet enclosed itself around her head. She couldn't feel the power level. But she could tell with this sort of inquiry, she was ready to fight. The suit expanded, arcing electricity which way or another. It wasn't quite the same as those of the powered soldiers the Tuffles threw at her during her captivity. It might have even been more advanced. But there was a definite resemblance to say that this one was somehow a distant descendant of that design. Good. She would definitely be able to learn more from this other self of hers. Why she seemed to be made up of all these contradictions... Konja prepared to take her stance... but then just like that, the shorter one asked a barrage of more... lifestyle questions. A place called Helix's. Musicians or musical groups called Brushstrokes and Porcelain Combs. An inquiry of her friends and their sexes. What an odd question. "I work the cash register at Taco King in the Southern Islands, frequent the beach at night to cool my thoughts after training, and listen to Graviton." Their lyrics were odes to ancient battles and heroes set to a powerful set of instruments simply called 'metal'. An excellent choice for getting one pumped up for a spar. "I have both boy-friends and girl-friends." It was odd that she would discriminate between sexes. Friendship was sure to be a universal matter that should be decided by one's skill in combat! Finally shaking most of the earlier rage away, she made an intriguing offer as she took a combative stance and closed her fist, raising her power level - there wasn't much else she could do at this point. The first time you Release your suppressed Power Level in battle, your opponents may not use their Sense basic technique for 1 turn. After unlocking your first transformation, this goes into effect so long as you remain untransformed.
FLIGHT Alternatively called ‘Sky Dance Art’ or Flight technique, this secret technique of the Crane style allows the user to push ki out of their body to hover, levitate, or fly through the air. It typically allows the user to fly into their opponent’s from any direction and lay a full body barrage in addition to its practical benefits- but Bukujutsu was once so common place that some martial arts enthusiasts forget to place it where it belongs, alongside the Kamehameha. Type: Defensive Action: Bonus Action - Reaction Effect: Once per battle, avoid a non-critical attack automatically or turn a critical hit into a normal hit.
