The bubbly demon girl from some time ago was... something. An entire village ended up leveled in the wake of their battle, but despite all the resistance and grit which Magnus displayed in the battle, he was left overwhelmed by a combination of her sheer power and regenerative abilities. Not that he did not put up a fight - and drew out enough hatred from her essence that he could call the battle a victory regardless. What was more surprising was that, after he finally regained consciousness and rose up from his shallow grave, his soul was not travelling to the afterlife, and instead all he could see to the horizon was the vast destruction of their battle. So the world has chosen that his quest shall continue. Very well, then. It may have been a defeat physically, but Magnus's heart - or, rather, the shriveled up remains of it - felt no defeat. The demon girl was simply an issue to overcome - and he will overcome it, much like every other obstacle which dares stand between him and his desired utopia. A yet another demon village unfolded before Magnus's eyes as the revolutionary stood atop a two story building and stared to the horizon. This one in particular was even larger and more sophisticated than before. It even had, and may that be a shocker, actual running water and electricity, much like pretty much every human household at this point. News had already reached of an entire village having recently gotten razed by a battle between two vicious demons, both of whom are still roaming the Southern Demonlands, but, despite this news, most people had yet to fully internalize it. As such, life proceeded like normal. And it should not proceed like normal. Magnus's eyes picked out a target randomly. Pure purple ki flashed between his fingers as he raised his hand, aiming it towards a building on the other side of the street - from the looks of it, there were at least a few people inside, and one demon in particular was opening the door right now. Seconds later, the entire building was suddenly lit ablaze by a powerful explosion of ki. Jack was walking through the Demon Village in an attempt to gather whatever information he could on the surrounding area. So far, his search had proven quite fruitless beyond the strange inhabitants of this region. A good many of the residents gave off an impression of great unease and tension, especially with their rather demonic appearance. Had he familiarized himself more with the races of Earth, Jack would have come to the understanding that these beings were indeed Demons; who quite frequently were up to no good whatsoever. The white-haired tattooed hybrid continued his walk while he minded his own business, and was about to decide to leave the village when a chill ran down Jack's spine before he slowly looked behind himself. The building he just walked past was hit with a powerful blast of Ki and immediately was set ablaze. Screams and pandemonium quickly ensued as the inhabitants ran away in a frenzy of fear and confusion. Jack then concentrated on the path the blast may have travelled originally, and his eyes met with a lone well-dressed blonde. Could he be the culprit of this anarchy? Needing answers to this senseless destruction, he jogged straight towards the individual to engage with him as he shoved his way past the demons. "I gather you're the one behind this pandemonium. Please enlighten me of you motive." Jack said calmly, but could still feel as if this blonde man was a lot stronger that he might make himself out to be by appearances alone. Chaos, destruction, death, it was all a beautiful symphony which will one day set off a wave of revolution. But for now, however... it did not take long for someone to step up and seek to challenge him in the midst of it all. This time, it was a man who was seemingly an Earthling, though, unlike most of his peers, he had bleached white hair. Was he a demon like the rest of the village, or was he really an Earthling who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time? Answers to questions like these will surely come, but they will have to wait. For now, standing atop a two story building, the image of the fires reflecting upon his face an eyes, Magnus looked down, watching the man ask him on what his motive was. A faint chuckle escaped his lips and he responded with a visible shrug. "Well this is a new thing. Getting asked why I do what I do." he spoke, glaring at the white-haired man, trying to figure out the man's own motives, searching for a glimpse of anger or fear within his expression. "Usually, they either flee in fright or attack without warning..." Magnus rested his arm on his knee, in an almost mocking form. "What if I told you that I have no motive? Simply a manifestation of something greater than myself, one which spurs me to destroy life randomly... A home of an innocent family one day, a town square full of people tomorrow, maybe you in a minute's time... What would you take from that?" [Words: 270 / 631] Jack Pota Defensive Phase

So the blonde attacked without much reason at all, something like that was something that Jack could not ignore. He was prepared to leave and not get himself involved further in this man's chaotic plans, but he immediately glared at the man when he made the notion that he might take Jack's life in a minute's time. "I'd take that you are one such person that must be brought to justice. No wonder why this village gave me unease, it was individuals like yourself no doubt. I do hope you're prepared..." Jack growled as an aura that was almost as white as his hair started to emit from his body as he let his instincts take over. "Here I come, anarchist." Jack added before he took off straight towards Magnus with a burst of his Ki, and he attempted to use his momentum to deliver a physical blow to the man in an attempt to ascertain his defenses. Perfect, his gambit succeeded in its entirety. The mysterious white haired man took this as an opportunity to challenge Magnus, declaring that he shall bring the blonde haired demon to justice, named him an "anarchist" and promptly charged forward. Magnus simply remained where he stood, watching his opponent charge - a fist immediately sank straight into his cheek. The sheer force of the blow let out a shockwave - however, aside for slightly sliding his foot backward, the demon was pretty much unfazed. "You seek to bring me to justice, then." he muttered, his voice slightly muffled, but recognizable none the less. Magnus's eyes glared straight at the white-haired man, looking past the fist still lodged in his cheek. Purple energy began to coalesce around his hand until it crafted a blade of burning ki at his fingertips. "Whose justice? Bring me to court? Force me to servitude? Or will you simply tear my body apart on the spot? Is that what justice means to you?" Without waiting for his opponent to answer, Magnus suddenly retaliated, an aura bursting to life around his body and his ki blade slashing forth, aiming to cut open his opponent's chest. Jack didn't have much time to dodge his opponent's initial strike that in hindsight would have proven fatal after he felt the sting of the second blade strike as it cut into his waist. It was very clear to the hybrid now that the being before him possessed a power that was definitely malicious and dark in nature. His physical strikes with his power as it was now, would not be enough against such a powerful foe that was barely affected by the shockwave of his own punch. "With that much evil within you, part of me wishes to stop you from harming anymore bystanders. However...the other part of me sees this as an exciting opportunity." Jack finally replied with a soft chuckle after he skidded a short distance away from Magnus after being hit with the blade of Ki. "Creating a blade out of your own energy is quite impressive, you should be proud of the fruits of your labor." He congratulated Magnus on his control of Ki, even though he still had a fair distance to go himself when it came to combat. With his mind set on doing a chain attack to hopefully tip the scales slightly in his favor, Jack gathered his energy into two white spheres sparking with white electricity before throwing the sphere in his left hand towards Magnus first, quickly followed up by his right hand. He then followed up these blasts by clenching his right fist and aiming it directly toward the demon. For my sake teacher, I hope this works against him... Jack thought with Will's earlier trade in mind before an even greater blast of white Ki surrounded by red lightning was fired from the ring on his middle finger. Duke Satan [290/701] Defense

"...Evil." Jack's energy blasts collided with Magnus's frame, resulting in a powerful explosion. Before the cloud of dust picked up by the first two attacks even had a chance to fade, the man blew through it and struck the demon with his ring laser. The powerful, blinding fast and scorching hot blast sped through the air and cut through Magnus's clothes without mercy. Only clothes however. Because as the dust settled in and Magnus stepped forward yet again, it became clear that he survived all of the attacks thrown at him. His hair was now ruffled and his clothes somewhat ripped apart, but through sheer tenacity, he moved on. "...Evil. I am evil, as you say." Magnus repeated Jack's words, while his cape flapped with the wind and his eyes locked onto his opponent. "Someone who is supposedly so utterly despicable that anything they do or make is only worth to be destroyed. And, sure, perhaps I am evil." Magnus's ki blade suddenly extended, growing several meters long and slashing towards Jack several times, aiming to cut him apart with deadly power and precision. "But why am I evil? Why is anyone evil? Do you think people are born that way? That there are some people who are despicable to the core and should be exterminated? Or... Jack once again used his Ki to avoid one of Magnus' attacks, while he let himself take the other more shallow strike to his chest as well as his partly torn chest attire. "Even so, everyone has a choice in the end to decide what kind of person they will become. If the world is really so cruel as you say, then why not make an effort to make it a better one for everyone? If you have suffered at the hands of such cruelty doesn't mean others have to as well. There is still much left for me to learn from this world myself, I myself have been asleep for an undetermined amount of time, but perhaps things are not what they always appear on the surface. I am from a world perhaps many lightyears away, perhaps it exists no more..." Jack mused to himself as he prepared to counter with an attempt to grapple the demon while also making plans to raise his own reaction time. Duke Satan [168/869] Defense

"You're right, such a cruel world cannot possibly be allowed to stand." Magnus's words echoed across the battlefield as he grabbed a firm hold of Jack while he was trying to grapple the demon. The following ring laser shot forced him to let go - however, the attack merely dissipated after striking his skin, failing to punch through the conditioned, durable body. The blow didn't wound Magnus's spirit at all, either. "And that's why I desire to change it for the better. But to change it for all time, to make it fair, equal and just... simply being good is not enough." Magnus slowly stepped forward, his energy blade glowing and glimmering, and his eyes locked onto the white-haired man. "The problem is that all of us have gotten conditioned to injustice. We look at crimes and murders and see them as a statistic. We look at evil and try to justify it, or simply ignore it as long as it does not personally touch us. If something wants to change, and for the better... this conditioning must not stand. And that's what I am doing here." The tip of Magnus's weapon pointed to the smouldering ruins of the building which had incited his opponent to come here in the first place. "The people who perished there... they had families, lovers and friends. After they stop grieving over this unfortunate demise, what will they do? They will be overtaken by anger... and this anger is what will lead them to recognize that something is unjust. That something needs to change. I travel across the world to incite this hatred. I collect the critical mass which will burn injustice to ashes." Magnus suddenly charged forward, opening with a yet another barrage of slashes with his energy blade. Jack was starting to feel himself becoming exhausted, and he was not quick enough to dodge both blows that tore deeper into his chest. He then stumbled backwards and fell on his back while on the roof. "I see then... Very well, do as you will and may your efforts not be in vain. It's quite clear to me that all my assumptions of you were flawed, and I apologize for that I misjudged you. I concede to you, this victory is yours." Jack stated to Magnus now that he had realized how foolish he was prior, and he didn't want to cause anymore unnecessary trouble for either of them any longer. He was now putting his fate into the hands of the blonde that had bested him, but he was sincere about it all the same. At least he was able to get a challenge and measure his own strengths and weaknesses. Duke Satan [154/1023] Defense

Given how determined the white haired man appeared before, Magnus can be forgiven for believing that he was in for a long and difficult match, even if their first blows left little impact. So, seeing him suddenly stand down and declare that the demon was right... came as a surprise. Not the most unwelcome surprise, sure... but definitely unexpected nonetheless. And Magnus wasn't sure if he liked it. Ever since his abandonment in the underground depths of the Demon Realm, he came to value sticking to one's principles above anything else. Even if he might not agree with someone before, even if he believes that their futile dedication to good, to evil, or to anything else was a mistake - he valued sticking to those principles no matter what. Because, ultimately, his principles and his determination was the only thing which he had. The demon's energy blade dissipated and his body straightened, looking down at the shorter, white-haired boy with a mix of satisfaction, resentment and disappointment. Regardless, however, there wasn't much he could do. The man stood down. Magnus could kill him, or try to kill him, but what was the point in that? "Foolish." the demon muttered under his breath, then turned around and walked away. [Words: 209 / 1562] Jack Pota
