Effort Points and what they do
Now that you know what the basic statistics of our site are you are probably wondering how to increase them for your character. The answer is simple, and that is by using Effort Points to buy the Mastery Points and thus increase them.
But what is a Effort Point? Effort Points are our shorthand term for a unit of energy and effort which the player has gained to spend on their character by performing something which amounts to effort- be it writing posts, participating in storylines, creating assets for the site, posting the advertisement for the site in places, or recruiting players to the site personally.
Effort Points are the unified currency which are utilized for all increases of power by your characters, and are gained primarily by writing. For every word written by a player for a player character, they gain one Effort Point to spend on the various sub-currencies which exist. These currencies are used to gain more stat points to spend, to gain Zeni for your characters to use, to gain new advantages for your characters, or to learn new techniques. As a result of them being a currency earned by every word written by a player, Effort Points as a currency are tied to a player before being spent to purchase Zeni or Mastery Points, and may be transferred between player characters owned by the same player - but are by default stored on the character which they were earned with.
As of this writing the prices in Effort Points for each type of increase are as follows:
1 Effort Points = 25 Zeni.
1000 Effort Points = 1 Mastery Point
