Down in the Deep Blue Sea | 6 Star Mission (12000 Words Requirement) - Rumor has it that there is a great ship graveyard, laden with treasure somewhere in the South Islands. In actuality, there are probably more than one, but whatever the case, they need someone of great strength and physicality, or someone who just happens to have super human abilities, to help them with the exploration of the place, because while they could use tech to substitute it, that would cost them precious zenni! It is suggested that this mission be done with a partner. Rewards: 2 Bonus Treasure Rolls Sakana & Sons: Salvage & Scuttling was a rather profitable salvage outfit operating out of the port of South City, on Amenbo Island. Owned by the eponymous Shoto Sakana, an expert diver, self proclaimed treasure hunter, and veteran sailor with decades of experience on the high seas. Along with his two sons and trusty crew, the salty old sea dog claimed there was no wreck too deep, no salvage too buried, and no treasure too lost that he couldn't find. Until this time. Sakana had gotten word, from a friend of a friend of a friend, that an old pirate warship known as the Golden Fleece had been discovered in a portion of the Southern Sea known as the Devil's Trapezoid. An infamous region of sea plagued by fierce storms, whirlpools, maelstroms, with shark infested waters and even more terrible things rumored to lurk in the depths beneath the waves. An ever ambitious man, Sakana had taken up the venture immediately, doing as much research as he could on the Devil's Trapezoid and the long dead pirate captain Black Roger. It was said Black Roger had made a pact with the goddess of the sea, promising to take her as his wife in exchange for good winds, clear skies, and endless plunder. Whether you believed the stories or not, he had terrorized the Southern Sea for decades, raiding up and down the coast while always managing to avoid the Royal Navy. Until one day, when it was said a terrible squall appeared out of nowhere, and a gigantic whirlpool opened before him swallowing his ship whole. Black Rogers and his ship were dragged down to Jones Davey's locker, and their restless spirits haunt the sea to this very day. Rogers had gone back on his deal with the sea, forsaking her for another woman and earning her endless wrath. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, a price the pirate had paid in blood, not gold. Superstition aside, the Devil's Trapezoid was still a formidable region. High winds, higher waves, and turbulent storms would make this no easy venture. Once they arrived at their destination the struggle was only just beginning. They'd still need to locate the wreck, and venture down to it to recover their treasure. For this Sakana believed his own crew would not simply be enough. Several of his men were a superstitious lot, believing in old Black Roger's curse, and refusing to set foot in the Devil's Trapezoid. Irritated but undeterred, Sakana sent out advertisements, looking for anyone able bodied and seeking fortune and treasure to join his expedition. He hoped to enlist Saiyans, who he knew to be mighty and powerful warriors, or Namekians with their strange alien magics. Though in truth he would take anyone willing to apply. So long as they seemed a promising sort. Which is where Hebihime Manda entered the equation. The Serpent Deity always had her finger on the pulse of news regarding magic and treasure. While she could outright sense powerful magic from great distances away... like the powerful dark magic King Piccolo emanated from his castle, she could also sense powerful arcane relics and other such items after they had been reawakened. Her magic affinity was not infallible though, and the longer an object lay dormant the fainter its thrum of arcane power grew. Many relics lay silent and forgotten, lost to time buried beneath the waves or the sand. Hebihime was a greedy, self centered creature. She coveted objects of great power to augment her own might, and hopefully allow her a way to return to Other World to deal with her 'beloved' mother. But that was a problem for the future, and the Princess of Snake Way lived in the present. So Hebihime had heard of this treasure seeking captain through the grapevine. A man from the Southern Islands, searching for a lost treasure of gold and riches amassed by a cruel brigand who struck a foolish bargain with the goddess of the seas. It was quite the tale, and a more cynical person would not have believed it. But Hebihime knew the great truths of magic, divinity, and realms beyond this one. She was intrigued, and more than capable of plying her skills to this endeavor. Naturally reclusive, the last thing she would do with anyone was reveal her true form. The fewer people knew she was actually an exiled deity, the better. But, even in her disguised form as a serpentine beastfolk woman, Hebihime was still a formidable adversary. She applied, citing her strength as a martial artist, great mastery of ki, and proficiency in magic as her biggest assets. Sakana was impressed, and requested an interview. During which she proved all her boasts, lifting a huge boat anchor with ease, destroying a boulder with a powerful blast of ki, and using her spells to melt through an old steel hull with her caustic, venomous, magic. The captain and his sons were thrilled to have such a capable woman in their company, even if something about her didn't quite sit right with them. That look in her eyes, cunning and calculating, like a snake waiting to strike. Hebihime was self centered and cruel, but not outright malevolent. She only killed when it suited her, she was no wanton creature of destruction. If they proved useful to her, the ship and its crew would live. If not, they may... suffer an unfortunate accident at sea. A great sea serpent crushing their ship's hull, devouring its crew, before dragging the vessel into the depths to share Black Roger's fate. At present Hebihime sat on a large metal crate, watching as the last of the supplies were being loaded onto the ship by crane. Sailors hoisted ropes as they guided a small submarine into place on the ship's deck. The Fortunate Sons was a proud vessel, nearly seventy five meters in length with a black hull and a white painted deck. She had a crew of twenty full time crew, with another ten deck hands being taken on for this particular mission. They would be spending several days at sea, and were well supplied in case of severe storms or unforeseen circumstances. "When exactly do we leave again Captain?" Hebihime asked in a slightly annoyed tone. She was wearing a skin tight wet suit. Black with purple accents, covering her curvaceous figure up to the neck. Most notably it even had a sleeve for her tail, mostly because the outfit was conjured by her magic, not that the crew knew this. The only thing out of place was the large purple cobra hood hat she wore, keeping the sun out of her eyes. Wide brimmed and floppy, it was hardly seaworthy attire. Sakana looked back at her, arms crossed over his broad, powerful chest. "I told you Miss Manda. We aren't leaving until my last deckhand gets here." She had been acting like a diva ever since he'd hired her, and the only thing keeping the man from reconsidering his offer was the fact she could probably rip their ship apart if she tried. None of the other applicants had seemed nearly as physically strong, well... except that one odd duck. Literally, in this case. Simply calling himself The Wizard, the eccentric individual was indeed some kind of spellcasting conjurer. Though he was also much smaller and more diminutive than the tall snake woman. Either way, Sakana felt himself fortunate to have not one, but two genuine magic practitioners on this endeavor. If even half of the stories about the Devil's Trapezoid were true... they'd certainly need them.

(A few days ago) Traveling the southern islands was nothing new to the wizard, he had been coming and going for some time there anyhow. Though there were many things he liked about the land, such as how the wind complimented is flowing cape, there were quite a few things he disliked as well. Going from place to place required him to hop from ship to ship. It was either that or he would have to row around the various islands in a puny boat, nothing fit for a powerful wizard such as himself. He did have the twin dragons he could summon, but they would only stick around as long as he had mana. Over all, this made travel either uncomfortable or expensive, and the wizard hated both alternatives. Though he was never one for manual labor, a few days ago he heard about a paying job right up his alley. Apparently some sort of local salvaging company was looking for super powered individuals to assist them. While the wizard was no expert on the depths, the pay was something he simply couldn't pass up. Besides he liked the company's name, Sakana & Sons: Salvage & Scuttling was a fun phrase to say three times fast. There was one hitch however, the job would be located in the Devil's trapezoid. He had heard of the place before, but couldn't remember where. He would have to study up on that later, right now he needed to sign up for the job. The beastman would find himself in front of a decently put together shop along the docks of a small port town. Duck would knock on the door and be met by a smaller boy who must have been one of the sons mentioned in the sign. The small lad would snicker at the wizard's outfit before speaking "Sorry buddy, the doofus convention's down the road." This would furrow the small beastman's brow and cause him to speak quickly, "I have no time for this insatiable dribble! I have come to sign up for the incredibly dangerous voyage located in the Devil's trapezoid!" He would put his hands on his hips and look into the air proudly. The boy would simply roll his eyes, and then look the man up and down. The duck appeared to be scrawny, and lacked much physical power, that much was obvious. "Look, buddy, I think you're in the wrong line of wor--" The boy would be caught off guard as his father opened the door more fully. This must have been Sakana himself. The owner would light a pipe, and take another look at the bird. "A wizard by the looks of those robes. We could use someone with that kind of experience... Tell me what you're capable of." Duck would nod and explain his many abilities to the man. "Why sir, I am the mightiest of all wizards! I am capable of moving the largest of boulders, or shattering them with blasts of lightning. I am the proud commander of two loyal dragons, and last but not least I can conjure up nearly any kind of tool needed for the job!" This explanation was a grand one, and the old owner of the company would be stroking his chin through the whole speech. In trough the man didn't exactly buy every word, but what other option did he have? "Alright kid you're hired. We sail in three days, be sure to be there on time, and there will be no problems..." (Present Day)after a few days, the time had come for the wizard to join a hardened crew of seafarers, all in search of many lost relics. There was only a slight issue. He knew very little about the Devil's trapezoid, and needed to educate himself as he walked from his hotel to the docks. By his calculations, he should make it there exactly thirty seconds before the boat left, more than enough time to consult his magic tome along the way. Oddly enough, he had never examined the 'D' section of his spellbook. Opening the first page, he would see a legend and depiction of an old pirate. This man would have been Black Rodger, an infamous pirate that colluded with the goddess of the sea. It was quite the tale, and the wizard wasn't a big fan of treading on cursed grounds. Nonetheless, he would have to step up his game for this mission. His tome would also tell other stories of how various aquatic mages mysteriously died in search of relics in the area. That confirmed there was some sort of loot there, he just needed to be alive to get said loot. Luckly he had an entire crew of cannon fodder, er allies to assist in acquiring these goods. Time seemed to fly by as a fog horn would sound in the distance, he had finally arrived at the pier right on schedule. One of the crew men would give him a wave signaling him to come closer. Others would have their arms crossed in annoyance that the ship hadn't left already. One of the workers would groan, "Well it's about time..." Duck would simply shake his head and respond, "A wizard is never late. Time bends to our will after all." Sakana seemed slightly annoyed, but happy to have his other magic user on board. "Great wizard, not lets get moving. That ship isn't gonna salvage itself." Duck would nod again and walk directly towards the ship, and giving the snake-girl a quick glance as he did. Her magical power was quite significant, he could feel that much. Though he wouldn't introduce himself immediately, he would take not of her powers and sensed a possible conflict of interest when the artifact hunting began. [WC: 964] [Total WC: 2,339] Hebihime

Hebihime yawned, this was fast growing annoying. They had hours of sailing to do before they even reached the Devil's Trapezoid, much less the wreck site. At their current pace they wouldn't even leave port by then. The ship sounded its fog horn, and she lazily looked up to the bridge to see the First Mate signalling all the cargo had been loaded. The crew was strapping the mini-sub into place and securing the ship for departure, now all the needed was the eponymous 'Wizard' that Sakana had hired. Hebihime was skeptical if someone with such a... brash title would have genuine magic abilities. Earth was home to plenty of fakes, charlatans, and con artists. She knew because she had devoured plenty of them herself as they tried to peddle her cheap tricks and fake baubles. 'So he's finally here?' She muttered under her breath, folding her arms and crossing one leg over the other as her tail swished in agitation behind her. "Alright then men... and miss, it's time to weigh anchor and shove off." Captain Sakana said, his elder son heading up to the crow's nest and the other departing to the bridge. The crew began rolling up the ship's heavy steel anchor, but the serpent woman was annoyed by how much time they were taking ass is. Rather than wait for the winch to do its job, she hopped up from her seat, sauntering over to the great steel chain and gripping it tight. With a great pull Hebihime drug the heavy anchor to the surface, while the rest of the deck crew could only stand around awkwardly and cough. "There, that's done." She said with a huff as she dropped it into position, more than ready to get this venture underway. "Well... good work Miss Manda." Sakana said, unsure quite what to say. He wasn't used to a woman being far stronger than anyone on his crew. "Right, half speed out of port, full speed ahead once we reach open waters!" He commanded in his authoritative tone. The crew began scrambling to their stations, as the mighty vessel sounded its horn. With a great lurch it pulled forward, propellers spinning up to speed as the vessel slowly made its way from the docks. The harbor on Amenbo Island was one of the busiest in the world. Ships of all shapes and sizes called this port home, from small fishing vessels to massive cargo ships and oil tankers bound for distant shores. One such vessel was steaming into port, a great black oil tanker with its tanks no doubt heavy with fuel to support the island metropolis. Hebihime had a soft admiration for the spirit of the Earthlings. They were an industrious people, and a hundred years ago a ship half as large as the tanker ship moving past them would have been an impossibility. But nowadays they were common sights in any deep water port. Humanity it seemed, had an indomitable drive to move forward. The longer the serpent goddess had been trapped on Earth the more she realized the only thing unchanging was herself. Cities had sprung from towns she once knew as little more than trading posts. Vast harbors had grown from tiny fishing ports, and every year human technology continued to impress her more and more. It was frustrating, compared to the centuries she'd spent in Hell. Hell was static, nothing ever changed save for new arrivals. There was so much less to worry about. On Earth things were ever changing, the only two constants seemed to be the Demon King Piccolo... and Hebihime herself. She wondered if the demon Namekian felt the same of her as she did of him? She scoffed, shaking such thoughts from her mind. There were more important things to worry about than the march of time and the changing state of the world. For someone so long lived Hebihime tried to focus her attention purely on the present. She turned to look to the ship's crew. Most had moved below deck to monitor the engines, or to the bridge to aid in navigation. Few remained on deck, except for the green horns tasked with sweeping and other trivial duties. Most of the hired deckhands had gone below deck as well. There was a well stocked galley and a lounge, they'd likely relax as the journey to the Devil's Trapezoid was the only part of the expedition expected to be calm. Hebihime stood up and stretched her arms over her head, letting out a yawn as she arched her back. Her tail straightened out, before her posture returned to normal. "You there." She said simply, her violet gaze turning on The Wizard, as he was known. "I heard the rest of the crew talking about you." She said, sauntering towards the duck billed beastfolk. "I heard the rest of the crew talking about you. They call you The Wizard, though I think we owe each other a formal introduction." She struck out her hand to shake, her grip was vice like and a fanged grin crossed her lips as their hands shook. "I am Hebihime Manda, the Serpent Sorceress. A pleasure to meet you." The woman said, being polite and courteous as could be. He certainly looked the part of a wizard, his robes lacked that cheap fabric the replicas always had. And she could sense his Power Level was well above a common martial artist. She wondered if he could sense hers, it was at least double his own. "If the Captain is to be believed, you and I are the only two here that possess actual magic. Allow me, if you will, a brief demonstration." The woman said, as a violet flame formed in her hand. She swiped it in front of her face, and the ghostly image of a serpent's head could be seen as The Wizard looked towards her. Horns crowned the beast's skull, venom dripped from its maw. It opened its mouth to hiss and dissipated into a miasma, the vision faded as the flame left her hand. "I specialize in illusion magics. My spells deceive the senses, tricking and confusing even the mind's eye. Confuse the brain, and you confuse your opponent's entire body." She spoke before snapping her fingers, and a piping hot order of fish and chips appeared in her hand. It even smelled real, and a seagull hovering overhead quickly swooped down from the skies to try and steal a bite. It found only air with its beak, phasing through the tasty meal as Hebihime swatted it out of the air with her free hand. The movement broke its neck, sending the poor bird flopping off the deck and tumbling into the sea. It would have drowned, had a large fish not quickly gulped the bird up before continuing on its merry way. "See?" She said simply, dispelling her illusion snack with a flick of the wrist. "Deception is a powerful magic."

The wizard had join the crew for one primary reason, he wanted to know exactly what treasures lied in the Devil's trapezoid. His hunt for magical artifacts among the seas had been fruitless so far, and he needed something serious to show his parents. Then again, what did he care about them. They kicked him out of the house and demanded he get an actual 'job', he hated the word job. Even though he was now technically employed, he didn't plan to be for long. Rather than excepting payment from the salvaging company, his only goal would be to procure potential items of power for himself. There was also that other magic user he would need to watch out for. If she truly knew the powers of the arcane, then she would know exactly what he was trying to do in due time. Perhaps he could convince her to join him? Maybe they could split the artifacts fifty-fifty? It was a possibility, but not one he would explore immediately. Instead, he would simply board the ship, giving the rusty old vessel a quick inspection. It was not the best ship, but it would have to suffice for their journey. As they had all finished boarding, it was time for the anchor to be hoisted. While Duck was busy looking through some of his spells to try and lift the massive chain, the woman would simply remove it from port with her bear hands! That was a feat he had never seen before, heard of, but never seen. Would the crew expect him to have a similar set of skills? He certainly hoped not, as he had no such physical strength. Maybe he was stronger than the average man, but that seemed to be the duck's limit. The other crewmen would all watch in awe and one would even ask Duck, "Are all wizards that strong?" it was a stupid question. This woman wasn't a wizard, she was clearly a sorceress based on the garb alone, though he did wonder about what magic she could cast. "Bah, fool. Only the powerful magic users are." the duck would quack. Now that they were successfully out of port, and traveling to the Devil's trapezoid, a few precautions would need to be made. Unlike many magic users, the wizard always put safety first, and when going into a cursed land one would need plenty of safety. Though he couldn't create a barrier around the ship, he could attempt to see potentially less dangerous routes of travel. Thanks to his practice of all magical forms, divination was a common skill he used in combat to evade attacks. In this case, he would simply use it to evade bad weather, vicious sea monsters, and possible curses. Taking a seat near the bow of the ship, the wizard would cross his legs and close his eyes. He would combine two powers of his to steer the ship in the right direction. Above all other skills, he was an elementalist, and could use that to bend the waves to his liking. Though he wasn't as strong as other individuals in the art, he seemed to have a bit more finesse. As his eyes were closed, he would begin to see many possible futures and predict the best ways to go. The sea air seemed to agree with the wizard, turning the ship just where he wanted them to. The res of the crew seemed to take a back seat, all heading under the ship. They were likely trying to get some much needed rest in before scavenging the remains of a ship. As his eyes were closed however, he would feel a power level approaching closely. His visions of possible futures seemed to become blurred, as if this power had something to do with it. The shock would open the man's eyes, just as he heard Hebihime asking after him. "Woah--huh?-- Oh, the wizard. Me. yes." He would shake his head a bit before clearing his throat clarifying "I am the one they call 'The Wizard' and trust me, my title is far more important than my name." he would reach out with his feathered hand and meet the woman's. Her grip was strong than any he had felt before, and he had taken hits from some of the best. Trying to remain professional, he would ignore this horiffic pain and nod as she explained who she was. "Hebihime the Sorceress eh? I don't recall any tales of you yet, but there is always time. You still seem young and capable after all."Next, the woman would suggest a demonstration of her magical abilities. "Hmm. Well I don't see why not, go on then..." He would fold his arms and watch as she conjured a violet flame. It was an impressive ability, as any wizard knew colored fires were hotter than regular flames. There was something odd however as these flames would vanish and be replaced by a small puff of smoke. It even made the shape of a snake. This was no evocation, but illusion magic. It was a powerful skill, especially when combined with the woman's clearly immense physical strength. Now it would be time for him to give her a quick synopsis of his own abilities, he had quite a few after all... "An impressive ability, I bet you foes don't see your strikes coming. My own power is a bit more raw, and physical however. Though I'd be interested in learning a bit more about this magic you posses." The wizard would clear his throat and begin to explain "I have adept skills in cojuration and divination, though my greatest strength is elemental evocation." Raising a hand to his left, a pillar of water would rise from the waves and then crash back down. he had many questions for this woman, the most pressing being her intentions. By the way she blurred his divination on approach, she would obviously play a large role in the upcoming events. He would look her up and down, feeling that she was far more powerful than himself, though he may have broader horizons than her. "So, if we're going to be working together we should probably put all our cards on the table up front... You're a fellow magic user, why did you sign up for a salvaging mission in the most dangerous of seas? If it is for the artifacts, they surly you won't just be studying them..." He would wait for her response and give a chuckle anyway she answered. He would not explain his own plans upfront, but would either know if the woman was lying or being truthful. "Yes you Darling." Hebihime said to The Wizard, slightly annoyed by the fact he acted momentarily confused. Even if he was half way in a trance focusing on a divination, he should at least be focused enough to be cognizant of the world around him. She raised an eyebrow when the conjurer explained his title was more important than his name. "Is that so?" She retorted back sharply to his boastful comment. 'Any name not worth giving is a name not worth remembering...' The woman said to herself, as she let out a sigh. Her violet gaze returned to The Wizard as a smile crossed her lips. "I try to keep my exploits on the down-low." She said with a haughty laugh, holding her hand to her mouth. " Not every magic user wants their name and deeds plastered across the headline. Some of us work best in the shadows." Hebihime added with a wide smile, revealing the glistening fangs that replaced normal canines. "Young and capable?" The woman said giving a slight twirl, hugging her tail close to her body. "Careful Wizard, flattery will get you everything." Another haughty giggle, and the woman let go of her tail. "I prefer the term young at heart. And before you ask, a lady never reveals her age." She gave the duck a teasing wink to follow suit, his idle compliments put her in a very good mood. Her vanity was the only thing more vast than her greed. Pride was after all, the original sin. When she'd finished her demonstration the woman maintained her smile, flickering out her forked tongue. "There's a lot about me my enemies never see coming, Wizard." Like her jaws crushing down on them as she swallowed them whole. If he kept up the flattery, The Wizard would certainly find himself safe from that particular list. "Everything has a price, Wizard. And my magic does not come cheaply. We can discuss that at a... later occasion." She said with a wink. The truth was she was not going to go around teaching her Dark Magics to anyone. They were hers, one of the gifts she'd inherited from her mother. She wasn't even sure if an Earthling could learn them. When it was time for his own demonstration, Hebihime stood by arms crossed, her tail flicking behind her as she witnessed The Wizard's display. She watched as he summoned a great pillar of water into the air, sending sea birds fleeing and fish falling out the sides as they panicked at the disturbance. "Impressive. Most impressive." She said simply, it was an honest compliment for once. While conjuring elements was a simple enough trick, as evidenced by any fire breather, commanding them was not. It required a great deal of focus, and elements such as air required far more finesse than stone. "Your mastery of the elements will certainly serve our venture well. Given we are in the middle of a literal ocean." She said with a faint chuckle, taking a seat on the nearest stacked crate. One leg quickly crossed over the other, and the woman retrieved an ornate brush from her jacket pocket. Hebihime slung her long tail onto her lap, and casually began brushing out the dead scales as she spoke. Her expression however, turned deadly serious. "So be it then, since you asked so kindly... Wizard." The woman said in a sinister tone, her words venomous as they fell from her lips. "I signed up simply because I know this venture presents no threat to me. No rough seas, no deep sea terror, and no pirate curse will truly bring harm to me. I am beyond all that, so that makes this a no risk venture on my behalf. My life is not at stake, unlike these poor fools liable to be dragged kicking and screaming into the depths by a kraken or a whirlpool or perhaps by the undead remnants of our shipwreck's crew." As she spoke Hebihime continued nonchalantly grooming her tail, her gaze focused on her brush and not the person she was directly speaking to. "I'm here for the same reason we both know you are. I covet artifacts of power, arcane or otherwise. I wish to use them for my own purposes, and I am not keen on sharing anything I find of actual magical value with any of these men." She let out a sigh, picking away a particularly stubborn old scale with her fingernails. "And I'd rather not have to kill you, or anyone else on this ship for the matter. Deaths are messy affairs, they leave trails of evidence, loved ones looking for answers, investigations. I'd prefer not having to kill everyone even remotely connected to this vessel to silence the theoretical witch hunt. I am a busy woman, and I don't have time for such a tedious task."Once Hebihime was through grooming her tail, she stood up simply, putting away her brush. Her tail sliced through the air like a whip, giving off a loud crack like a gunshot. Her gaze was fierce, and locked on The Wizard's once more. "Now, I am a fair and even tempered woman. So here's what we'll do. You give me a proposal, and I promise to keep to our bargain should I agree to your terms. But, if I find your proposal... lacking in generosity. You will have far bigger problems to deal with than some petty sea goddess' curse." It was a threat, and a very thinly veiled one at that. Hebihime preferred her dealings with others end in as little bloodshed as possible. It was the only way she could maintain her dark secrecy for so many centuries. "Go on then... make me an offer I can't refuse." She said softly, her tail snaking around The Wizard and pulling her uncomfortably close against her.

The wizard cold see that he was entertaining the woman through compliments, and though she claimed it would get him everywhere, he knew there was more to this than that. He had come to salvage artifacts of power that could grow his own strength, and that's what he intended to do. The only problem was the level of skill this woman possessed. Her physical strength was much greater than his own, and even if he summoned Blade and Flame it would be a tough fight. Tough fights weren't exactly his cup of tea, and that was something he planned on staying out of. She also neglected to tell the wizard of her full capabilities, and said they should discuss that at another time. Many magic users were secretive, and if she planed on doing what he thought she was going to do, then it would be wise to keep it that way. Maybe this would be a good exchange, he had yet to try anything like it. "Mysterious, not uncommon among our kind. I understand secrets come at a price..."As he finished his display of power, the young lady would appear somewhat impressed by his actions. In truth, he had trained for many years and only started to produce actual magic recently. He could show her more of his many abilities, but many of those techniques would cause the seas to rumble and possibly throw the ship off course. That was a risk he couldn't afford to take, even if he did want to keep showing off. Then would come her mention of the ocean, "Ah yes, the sea. I've been using my abilities to steer the ship away from dangerous paths. The waters ahead are treacherous after all, and said to be cursed... Maybe that's why we're here though, some sailors would view the two of us as a good omen."Duck would twist his body, stretching, and then levitate off the ground with crossed legs. He could feel a proposal about to be made by the woman. It wasn't so much of an educated guess as it was a gut instinct, and he would be quite correct as the snake sorceress answered his question. It seemed that she had come for the same reason he came, swiping up powerful items from the hands of weaklings. Besides, items like those would do little good in the hands of non-magic users. Rather than speak as she explained this, he would simply nod his head. She also seemed to care as little about the crew as he did, but wanted to leave them alive so she would not be hunted down and burned as the stake. It was a wise pattern of thought, one he wished he had first. She would suggest that they make some sort of deal, one that would help them and injure the old man's business. He would think on it for a moment, though he was a very greedy man himself, he would have to be fair for once in his life. The sudden pull of his levitating body closer to the woman certainly increase the tension. Maybe the woman could offer him more than just treasure however. If learning her secrets costed payment, then he would be willing to pay that toll. "I think we can come to an excellent arrangement... We split items of power thirty-seventy. I take the thirty, in exchange for a more in-depth lesson on your abilities." That felt like a fair deal. He would walk away with more magic power, no matter how the situation turned out. If she accepted the deal, then the majority of the items would be hers, though she would likely have to spend more time with the wizard. Quite a few would actually view that as a worse option than taking the thirty. As he made this deal, he would look down and eye her tail quickly, maybe this would be a good time for more flattery? "Your tail looks lovely in this weather by the way." It wasn't the greatest compliment as he had no tail himself, but maybe she was affectionate about the way it looked? As they continued speaking, the wizard would feel the rocking of the boat. The depths they were sailing on had become much deeper, and they crew was almost where they needed to be. Looking around at the horizons, something felt off. Sure some time had passed, but they were oddly close to their destination for having set sail fifteen minutes ago. Though he doubted this was the curse or a kraken, something seemed very ominous in the air, it was a feeling of dread... Maybe it was the curse after all? The various sailors also seemed to react to this negatively, many of them would make complaints about their head's or stomachs hurting. "Gah, what is this power?" one would say as he fell. A few others would follow suit, and it seemed the pair had a big problem on their hands right off the bat. "This does not look good... It could be the curse... or perhaps the plague... Maybe the curse is the plague?" His new ally seemed to have some knowledge about toxins due to her snake-like appearance. The only question was if she had knowledge of plagues and other body afflicting curses. Personally, the wizards own experience with that was quite slim. "Indeed they do." Hebihime said with a smirk, narrowing her gaze. "Though you should know as well as any that mystery and magic go hand in hand. There cannot be one without the other." She continued to dance around the question of her full strength, some secrets would never need be revealed. The woman nodded knowingly when The Wizard explained his magics had been subtly guiding the ship along its course this entire time. Hebihime had actually not been paying attention to that matter in the slightest. She had no quarrel if the crew lived or died by a cruel act of fate. If the ship was swallowed by a whirlpool or capsized by the waves she'd simply transform into her true form and swim away beneath the watery depths. As an added bonus it would let her fake her death again. Hebihime had to occasionally do so in order to mask the truth of her longevity. "I see, how very courteous of you Wizard." She said with a shrug, "Truly you are a man of the people." Her eyes narrowed as she gave her fellow magic wielder another devilish grin. "Everywhere I go is a good omen, though only for me." Hebihime gave a haughty laugh, before listening intently to The Wizard's proposal. A seventy thirty split in her favor would be more than a generous offer. She knew this wizard was likely as self centered as she was, so he must have swallowed his pride to rightfully agree to such skewed terms. Hebihime withdrew her tail and raised a finger to tap her chin as she mulled over his proposal. She needed but a moment. "Acceptable." The serpent said simply, reaching her hand back out to shake. Her grip less powerful this time, there was little need for more intimidation. "You shall have your lessons then, though when this is over and we are back on dry land." She had truly no desire to teach The Wizard anything while they remained on the high seas. "And for the record... my tail always looks lovely. Idle flattery will get you nowhere, Wizard." Women were fickle, Hebihime especially so. She did not like compliments simply for the sake of trying to get in her good graces. She was no air-headed bimbo looking for praise. At this same time the crew was beginning to become stricken, though in her narcissism Hebihime had barely even noticed. "Hmm? Oh... I see." She said, feigning concern for her companions. Hebihime sensed at the air, it stench of dread, fear, and malice. "It smells like home." She muttered under her breath, though Hell's scent was more acrid, it had that pungent aftertaste of blood and brimstone she was so used to. Hebihime breathed in deep, her eye practically lighting up in excitement. "Mmm... no this is no plague. A plague sickens the body, and we'd see more pronounced effects than some nausea. Dead fish, sickly birds. But look..." She pointed to the seagulls overhead, seemingly unaffected or uncaring as they circle and cawed. "This strife doesn't effect the animals. This is a curse, one that will likely go stronger the closer we get." She had her suspicions as to cause. Her gaze turned to the bow of the ship, the skies ahead looked darker, more ominous. Storm clouds gathering in the distance as streaks of lightning lit the air. It was as if a maelstrom simply lingered over the Devil's Trapezoid. Because it did, and this storm was born of magics wild and primal, far older than even the serpent deity herself. Without skipping a beat Hebihime turned on her feet, and began to head towards the nearest bulkhead door. "I'm familiar with the nature of curses, though I have no particular experience with this one." The woman said in a rather stern tone. "I'm going below deck, to the infirmary. I'll need a vi- patient to test on, but I have a possible cure in mind." She said as Hebihime opened the door and headed below deck. One of the best ways to fight fire was with fire. Her forked tongue rolled over her fangs, a drop of venom fell from them onto her tongue. She would not let some old sea hag of a goddess upstage the Princess of Snake Way.

The wizard was happy the hear that they had come to a consensus on the artifacts. The woman's training would be invaluable, as he was a very quick study. In truth, he knew the serpent-girl's magical strength was currently superior to his own. If he was to someday become the strongest wizard in the world, he would eventually need to outdo her. This would mean using her own spells against her... It was how he picked up so much knowledge in eight years, if only his parents could have seen that. Of course he would have to make sure the woman delivered on her end of the bargain. There were quite a few tales he could recall of tricksters going back on their promises, so he would want to keep a close eye on the woman. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to like his comment about her tail, but he knew it would be a risk. He would shake her hand once more, only being slightly crushed this time. "Very well, then it's a deal."Before either of them knew it however, the show would start to experience the effects of the curse. Many sailors and salvagers appeared to be extremely nauseous. While this wan't a plague, or spell that effected a large area, it would likely get worse the deeper into the sea they traveled. At least that was what Hebihime's insights told them. It wouldn't take long for the woman to explain she could possibly create a cure, if enough time was allocated. She would also need a test subject of sorts to practice on, a fairly basic need. Lifting the body of an unconscious sailor of the ground with an arm, the duck-man would toss the body to the woman. "I believe this one should suffice..." he would casually speak. Another member of the crew would walk over to the wizard with a look of anger. "What? He's unconscious you can't just--" Duck would cut him off "--Just what? Save a man's life? I might be a wizard, but I'm certainly no druid. Your best shot at getting out of here alive is to let her operate..." Though the man would have liked to say more, the wizard had made a good point. The sorceress was likely the only person on the entire ship with medical knowledge. Giving his arcane ally a wink, he would announce "Leave her to her work. I'll take a look at the seas, and see about dispelling this curse, or at least shielding us from it..." The crew seemed to buy that explanation and went back to their various posts. Though the wizard doubted he could sure the afflicted, he might be able to seal away the curse of his tome of spells have the proper information. "Lets see here..." The duck-man would flip through a few pages, looking back to the story of Black Rodger. Apparently the ship's curse was pretty powerful, as many other entities had fallen to it. Several passages went on about the powers of the curse and what it could do. Nothing specifically was stated to block the curse... Nothing alive at least. While the wizard was no necromancer, it was clear that such a curse couldn't harm ghosts. Though he did not posses the powers of a ghost, it would be possible to fool the curse into thinking they were ghosts... He would need the woman's help for a few finishing touches, but could do most of the work himself. Raising an arm towards the sea, he would command the waves to grow slightly stronger. Large amounts of water would splash into the boat as he did, but he was far from done. Changing his hand to a gripping motion, the water one the floor of the ship would change into a thick fog that covered the topside. Obviously the sailors were all confused, but he had no time to explain. Raising both hands into the air, winds would howl and the fog would grow taller. Soon, much of the ship would be shrouded by the vapor. For a finishing touch, the wizard would use his powers of conjuration for one last summoning. Pointing a finger as the highest point on the ship, an albatross would materialize! He attempted to create a full on illusion. They would no longer be a moving ship, but a low hanging cloud. The albatross was for good luck, as many old tales claimed it brought. Now that his work up top had been concluded, it was time to seek Hebihime's skills in illusion. He would give the lower deck a slight knock before opening the door. Whatever sight he may see, would simply be ignored. "I've disguised our vessel to an extent. If the sea goddess has eyes, then she won't be seeing us... If you could bolster my spell with an illusion of yours... I think we may be fully cloaked from danger..."He knew she wasn't the type of woman to help others, but if they wanted the artifacts, they would need to arrive at their destination in one piece... Hebihime caught the man with a coil of her tail as he was tossed at her like a sack of potatoes. "He'll do." She said simply, hand gripping his cheeks inspecting just hoe far gone he was. Eyes glassed over, breathing shallow, these humans were certainly vulnerable to magic. Well, the ones with weak ki anyways. The Namekians that lived on Earth among them seemed to have a much stronger natural disposition to magic. And the Saiyans, while not as naturally gifted as the Namekians, had very strong natural ki and resisted many things on sheer tenacity alone. Hebihime looked up at The Wizard arguing with a fellow crew member and scoffed. "As if a Druid would help you here. They commune with the forest, and I see no trees around. What you need is a Sorceress, and lucky you... Here I am."With that said Hebihime carried the unconscious oaf down to the ship's modest triage clinic. It was more or less a small room adjacent to the galley, with a single medical chair, a sink, counter top, and several shelves stocked with assorted medicines. Hebihime slumped the man on his side on the table, so he wouldn't choke on his vomit if it came to that. He began coughing up lungfuls of... seawater. Hebihime leaned in, smelling the salt brine. "A drowning curse. How cliché." She said with a healthy dash of arrogance. Cliché it didn't change the fact this was a powerful curse, and it was growing stronger as the ship moved deeper into these cursed waters. Her hand touched the man's cheek, his skin was cold, clammy, and... damp. His heartbeat was slowed, almost catatonic, and his skin was beginning to wrinkle like someone who had been in the water too long. The serpent scowled at the symptoms, water was hardly her domain. She would have to make do. Hebihime rifled through the cupboards, looking for a sterile vile. She found one quickly enough, opening her mouth wide and baring her long fangs. Like pearly white hypodermic needles, she hooked one over the edge of the vial, biting down gently as a steady trickle of oily black venom dripped from the fang. Once she had enough, the serpent switched to the other fang, milking the two evenly for her own benefit. No reason to overtax one of her venom glands after all. When Hebihime was finished, a quarter of the vial was filled with her ichor of death. In an ironic twist, for once it would be used to save lives, not take them. She needed a catalyst, a magical reagent strong enough to handle her transfiguration spell. The only sufficient reagent she had on hand was her venom, so for better or worse it would do. Hebihime scrounged through the shelves, finding several other key ingredients to add to her mixture. What she wouldn't give for a well stocked witch's coven right about now. But, human medicine had come a long ways in the last few centuries. Many modern compounds were as good if not better than classic ingredients like eye of newt. A dash of this, a pinch of that, a few pills crushed to a powder, a thick glob of dense liquid, her brew was coming together in a beaker she'd placed on the counter. It looked like brackish sludge, and she hadn't yet added her vial of venom to the mix. "If this doesn't work, at least I'll have a ship's worth of snake demons..." Hebihime said to herself as she double checked her ingredients. The 'drowning' man on the table began to sputter and cough up more seawater, and she rolled her eyes and sighed. Her long tail slung out, performing chest compression on the man as the serpent continued her work. "The things I do for power..." She said in a dejected tone, pouring her precious vial into the concoction. The reaction was immediate, her venom hissed and sizzled like acid in the glass beaker. She looked at it worryingly like a mother watching her sick child. Slowly the brackish sludge of assorted liquids began to change. She stirred it with a finger, and as the liquid congealed into a dense purple liquid roughly the same color as her scales. Smiling at the results, Hebihime withdrew her finger, tasting her concoction. "Hmm. Bitter, but just bitter enough." She held her hands out, fingers splayed wide as she began to channel magic at her palms. They glowed with a strange violet light, as Hebihime began her incantation. "Serpent's scales, and Serpent's bite. Behold my power, witness my might!" There was a flash of light, and the liquid now glowed faintly. It had been discharged with a powerful spell, infused with the snake demon's magic. Her potion's effects would counterattack the effects of the sea's drowning curse, and as an added benefit provide those who consumed it with an immunity to all non-magical venoms for the rest of their natural lives. Though the latter was more of a pleasant side effect. With her serpent's brew finished, Hebihime went about pouring the results into even distributions. Too little and the effect wouldn't be strong enough, too much and the venom would kill the man. Only a few drops of her venom was enough to kill an average adult human under normal conditions. Even this heavily diluted concentration would be lethal if mishandled. Once her measuring was complete, Hebihime had three dozen small vials each containing little more than a teaspoon of liquid. She'd pilfered an entire box of them from under the counter tops, not like they'd ever be used for anything more important. Hebihime held the first one to her patient, tilting his head back and pouring the foul purple liquid down his throat. "Don't die, or Father will know it was me..." She muttered to the man under her breath. King Yemma would certainly be able to tell if his estranged wife's very magics had killed this man. It took but a moment for the effect to take hold. Color returned to the man's face, his eyes returned to focus, and his skin lost its clammy complexion. More importantly, he shot upright, coughing up the last of the water in his lungs and looking rather shocked. "I'm alive!?" He said in surprise, touching his hands to his face and inspecting himself over. "I'm alive!" "Well, I certainly hope so." Hebihime said, rolling her eyes at his jubilation. "Because I'm not dead, and this sure as Hell doesn't look like Other World.""Other what?" He asked in a confused voice. "Never mind. Now hurry up, we have to get these to the rest of the crew. They'll be in worse shape than you were at this point." The serpent woman said as she carefully boxed up the remaining vials of her potion, as the sailor helped himself to his feet still coughing up the last of the water in his lungs. The duo made their way back up to the surface, finding most of the crew slumped over in unconscious heaps or violently coughing up lungfuls of water. Hebihime furrowed her brow, handing the case of potions to the cured sailor. "Go and distribute these to the crew. Spill even one drop, and that man dies. Understand?" He gulped and nodded, running off to tend to the afflicted. The serpent herself made her way back to The Wizard, who had sheathed the ship in a dense fog. "I see, so be it." She said, raising her hands as the air whipped around her. The ship was big, but nowhere near as large as her true form. It would be child's play to mask. Violet light shone in her eyes and the ground beneath them seemed to disappear. In its place grey, barnacle encrusted skin with a large blowhole where the smokestack had been. Hebihime masked the appearance of the ship with that of a large whale. It even heaved as if breathing, lazily swimming along in the fog. "There. The ship is still as it was, it just looks like a whale from the outside. Go below deck and you'll find nothing has moved an inch." She said proudly, folding her arms as she inspected her work.

The wizard could give a sigh of relief as she saw the woman return to the surface. It looked like she had brought the cured man with her, and had various antidotes to distribute among the sick crew. Though Duck himself was resistant to the curse, he still felt somewhat weak from all the magic it took to create the smoke screen. He was lucky the she could assist in the shrouding of their ship. Now it would just look like a whale with steam coming off the creature's body. Would it stop the curse from persisting? Perhaps. It was to be determined. At least they had taken the crew from immediate harm, and knew they were getting very close. "I'm surprised you made a cure that quickly, I must admit. In fact, what was the curse exactly?" He didn't expect her to give a direct answer, but it would be a good chance for her to gloat if she did. The more time Duck spent around the woman, the more he would learn about how she acted. He was playing the long game, building her up now so she would come to tell him her secrets later. It wasn't a plan that always worked, but it must have have a seventy percent success rate... Now that there was nothing in their way, the captain of the ship would demand they press further forward. Apparently they were getting very close to the wreck, and that meant there was a job to be done. Before long, the wizard would notice an individual on the crow's nest. The fellow was a smaller sailor and had just dropped his jaw at something in the distance. Turning around, Duck could see the vague silhouette of a destroyed ship. It was most the site they had been looking for, that was great news... Wait a second, when some in the crow's nest typically spotted something- Oh no... The sailor would begin quickly ringing a bell and shouting "We've found it! Only a few miles to the north! The site is in plain view!" The wizard would face palm. That noise had just blown their ship's cover, and who knew what they could encounter on the open ocean!? "Pipe down you fool! You want the whole ocean to hear us!?" The wizard's complaint would be cut off by the rumbling of the waves, something was coming... No thanks to that bell. While he was about ready to throw the bell ringer overboard, their company now had bigger problems to deal with. Clouds would become darker in the sky, and would soon form into a cumulonimbus. Blots of lightning would touch down across the sea, and heavy rain would soon follow. The waves would cause the whale-boat to rock more rapidly as they crashed against it's sides. "Aww this is just our luck... I should have known there would be something like this in the sea." The wizard would cross his arms in annoyance. he had read about what came next, but initially thought it to be impossible. Thanks to their noise making friend, they would have to deal with the ship's old guardian. One would expect it to be an undead pirate or mermaid, but no, this was the whole nine yards. Before the eyes of everyone, a massive beast would surfaces from the depths, standing between them and the artifacts of the old ship... It was a kraken, plain and simple. A giant squid-like creature with multiple tentacles, eyes, and teeth. Never having encountered one before, the wizard knew it would be a hell of a fight, something he would be able to boast about for years to come. With the raising of a massive arm, the creature would swipe at the deck of the ship! Many men would be tossed overboard in the creature's very first attack, and others would simply be panicking. The rain seemed to pour down even harder, as the crew went into a frenzy! Maybe they would be too scared to take the artifacts by the end of this whole endeavor. That would make the wizard's job much easier, and the sorceresses even more so. One challenge at a time however; they would need to even the playing field. Turning his open hand into a gripping position, the wizard caused the waves to shake once more. "It's time to call some old friends," he'd chuckle.
In that moment, two dragons would fly out from the depths of the ocean and begin circling overhead of the ship. They appeared as two traditional dragons, no wings, just red and white scales respectively. "These are my loyal assistants, Blade and Flame. We've known each other for some time now..." He would allow his fellow magic user to conjure up whatever sort of spell she desired before he explained what he knew. "Apparently this ugly fellow is the guardian of the ship... A kraken." considering how interactions between them had gone so far, he hoped she would know more about the creature than he did. Even with his dragons around for backup, dancing with a legend would be rough to say the least. On the bright side, if they did stop the creature they could be legends themselves. Hopeful thinking some would say, pure idiocy others would remark. Even if they were at a disadvantage being on the creature's home turf, they had more than a few tricks up their sleeve... Hopefully.

With everything seemingly handled for a the moment, Hebihime turned her attention back to The Wizard. "I happened to know a great deal about curses and hexes... though usually my own." She said with a confident tone, placing a hand to her chest. "I had the key ingredient with my the whole time." She added, opening her mouth and flashing her gleaming fangs. "Had anyone else been here instead, I doubt they'd have had a sufficient magical reagent to act as a catalyst for the potion. The ship's medical bay was... as well stocked as you'd expect." The reality was not that simple, as her venom had innate magical properties that were unlike a normal serpent's. Of course, she did have to keep some secrets close at heart. The truth of her venom was but a clue as to the truth of her very being. Hebihime took a seat on a crate, hopefully this was the last irritation she'd have to deal with. Soon the shipwreck came into sight, and she shot upright, a concerned look on her face. 'Something's coming.' She told herself, not bothering to share her revelation. She felt a strong power level beneath the waves, strong enough it was no common beast. A kraken burst forth, a titan of the depths that could drag a ship under with its terrible strength. Hebihime furrowed her brow, clenching her fists as she watched the beast let out a mighty roar. It swung out with its massive tentacles, slamming the deck and shaking the vessel as men were flung into the cold seas. Hebihime ducked under the beast's swipe, watching as the crewman nearest her was snatched up in its tentacle and carried screaming to its beak-like maw to be devoured. Unlucky fools, they know what they signed up for, Hebihime thought as she rose back to her feet. Her attention turned back to The Wizard, now aided by two small dragons. "Ever full of surprises, aren't you Wizard?" She said with a chuckle, gathering a ki blast in her hand and hurling at the kraken's tentacle as it tried to slam down again. The blast singed the beast's arm, and it roared in pain as it momentarily halted its assault. "I'm always ready for a fight." Hebihime said, gazing up at the towering creature. It loomed some fifty meters tall, and that was just its body. Who knew how long the writhing mass of tentacles that coiled around the ship measured. As big as it was, her True Form was larger. This beast would make for satisfying prey if she could simply use her full strength on it. But, she wouldn't risk her secrets to these mortals. Their lives were less precious than her secrecy. The woman took a wide stance, legs spread as she channeled her dark ki. Her aura glowed a sinister purple as Hebihime channeled her energy. "Gigantification!" She declared, her size beginning to change as she grew physically larger. Coming to stand at over five times her original height, the ship listed to one side as a result of the woman's greatly increased weight. This was as large as she dared grow, given the ship she was standing on. Not wanting to maintain so much energy consumption at once, the now giant Hebihime waved a hand and dispelled her illusion, their whale-ship become its normal appearance once more. The kraken roared at its new challenger, feeling threatened by a creature far larger than what it had expected. The leviathan swung its two largest tentacles out, one slamming down from above as the other swung inwards from the side. Hebihime caught the first one overhead with her arms, grunting in exertion as the ground beneath her buckled from the blow. She might be strong enough to face this creature, but the ship she was standing on wasn't. Her strength was handicapped by the vulnerability of common steel. The other tentacle she lashed out at with her tail, which was now half as thick as the kraken's limb. She coiled her tail around the beast's arm, trying to rip it out of its socket. In turn it pulled back, trying to drag her into the sea. "It's more resilient to magic than a common beast." She told the wizard between grunts of exertion. "Go for the eyes or the beak. That's its biggest weak spots. The hide is durable enough to handle weak ki blasts." She'd hunted these creatures before, and even in her true form they put up quite the fight. Krakens were not like people, as cephalopods they could take enormous amounts of damage before finally dying, and even their severed limbs would continue to fight once removed.

So, it seemed the antidote was something more natural, likley an anti-toxin of some kind that was made from the woman's own venom. He assumed she had venom at least, with fangs like those and the snake-like appearance, it was an educated guess to say the least. One way or another, the crew would be safe for the time being, until the kraken arrived on the scene at least. Now, the pair of magic users would be staring down a beast of a creature from story books. If they wanted to have any chance of victory they would have to work together. Charging into situations like this head on was never the wizard's style, but it would take time to come up with a proper plan of attack. His partner seemed to have a different approach. She would immediately retaliate by firing up her aura and transforming several sizes larger. While Duck had heard of the ability, he thought it was unique to the Namekians... Then again, magic was a powerful force. Who was to say someone like her couldn't use a gigantification spell? "Well, I suppose that's one way to do things..."He would watch on, as a battle between Hebihime and the kraken began. It would manage to strike the woman in the first few moments of the bout, and she would in-turn begin to grab one of it's massive arms. While fighting, the snake sorceress would also mention the beast's defense against the arcane arts. It was something uncommon among most creatures, but this was a beast of legend after all. If that was the case, then he would need to do something more physical. Pointing a finger towards the abomination, Duck would command his dragons "Blade, Flame, tear him to pieces! I'll see about weakening this resistance of it's..." The two dragons would nod in obedience. The elder of the two dragons, Blade would fly towards the arm the woman was already pulling on. As he got the opportunity, the white dragon would bit down on the appendage and try to assist in removing it. The beast was clearly in pain, as the kraken's roar shook the seas and boat alike. The last nail in the coffin however would come from Flame. She was the red dragon, and younger sister to blade. Swooping down, she too would bit into it's tentacle, providing the extra force needed to remove the appendage. With the sound of a snap, the creature's arm would tear from it's body, and black ink-like blood would pour from it's socket. Enraged even further, the beast would screech and the sky seemed to grow blacker. The battle was becoming more serious then the wizard could ever imagine, as two massive tentacles would swing towards the dragon twins. Unfortunately, each would hit their mark, and the creatures would fall into the sea. In a puff of smoke and mist, the two reptilian titans would disappear. Since their life force had been reduced significantly by the strikes, the wizard was unable to hold them there for long. Though his allies had been eliminated for the time, he hadn't just sat by twiddling his thumbs. No, the wizard was a far more hands-on type of person, and had used the time to come up with a strategy. "Sorceress! It may still stand strong, but we've created a weak point. I'll see about injuring it further, you just be ready to finish the monster off!"Raising his staff to the sky, he would begin to attempt something quite dangerous. Above him, a large purple spell circle would appear. After a moment, a massive bolt of arcane lightning would be sent down towards the wizard. Dropping the staff, and closing his eyes, the bolt would strike duck directly. Rather than injuring him however, it would create a vale of electricity. He hadn't used this technique in some time, the most powerful and risky elemental spell in his arsenal, the lightning stream. Since the beast had a gaping and bleeding hole where one of it's arms use to be, that's where the attack would be directed. Even if it had some sort of resistance to magic, it was still lightning. Squids bodies were mostly water, and they were in the middle of the sea, this was going to hurt a lot. "Watch closely madam Hebihime. This is why they call me The Wizard!"Thrusting both of his hands forward towards the open wound, a powerful stream of lightning would be fired from the beastman's hands. Waves would part as it passed by, and would strike the open wound head on. The ocean seemed to be electrified by the impact of the technique for miles to see. The kraken's eyes nearly rolled back in it's head from the pain inflicted by the attack. While the various creatures of the ocean would suffer, he would use his last remaining power to exempt the woman from being hit. Now it would be her turn, a final blow to strike the beast down once and for all. He sincerely hoped he wouldn't have to do it... He was far too weak after that attack... "He's all yours..." The wizard would say with panting breath. [WC: 876] [WC Total: 12,062/12,000] MISSION COMPLETEHebihime
