When Magnus first discovered that the mortal realm he had gotten thrown to by accident was inhabited by his fellow Demons much like his home, it solicited several reactions from him. Perhaps he should have been indifferent. Earthling, Demon, or even deity, it does not matter - all of them are shackled by injustice and suffering, no matter how much they would deny it, and they need to be uplifted into a righteous liberation. On the other hand, as he first stepped into the Dark Kingdoms, he noticed just how strikingly different humans and demons truly were. The Dark Kingdoms were just like home, in that they were a hive of evil, suffering and oppression, of thousands of impoverished, unconscious souls blindly following their leaders for the sake of "evil", or for whatever selfish desires may guide them, unaware of just how worse they're making their situation... Opposite of them were the humans towns and villages he got to briefly stroll through - and while they were certainly just as unconscious of their nature as their demon kin, they at least had the audacity to not actively try making everyone else's life a more horrible place to live. Covering with his flowing cloak and with his eyes shifting from side to side, Magnus strolled through one of the many Demon villages scattered throughout the Dark Kingdoms. More often than not, he would get less than satisfied looks from the people he'd push through - after all, compared to his monstrous, demonic peers, Magnus looked pretty much indistinguishable from a human. Unless they were able to sense ki and register that the ki emitted by his body was clearly demonic, they would have no way to tell. Of course, then they would also be able to tell just how dark and single-directed his ki was, too... The Demon village was minding its business. Workers were working, soldiers were sparring, people were chatting, discussing Earthling politics or various rumors abound in the village about the chief's new recruits for a raiding party. Nothing out of the ordinary. They need to feel fear. They need to feel fear, so they may recognize where they are. So they may become conscious, become enveloped in hatred, lose their grasp of morality, and thus, knowingly or not, join his cause. If that source of fear hits you in a predictable fashion, you will soon get over it. But if it strikes randomly, in different towns, at different times, with different intensity... then it's an entirely different matter. Randomly... Doom and gloom dominated the atmosphere of the demon-controlled villages. The air was thick with wicked ki, sickening to those who were pure. Monstrous figures patrolled the streets, squashing the hope of rebellion with their mere presence. They squeezed the poor, unfortunate souls for tax and tithe. Sometimes literally. Being a human in the Southern Demon Lands was misery. Here, might made right. Demons, being the strongest around, made the rules. Someone was always ready to raid, fight or simply make the lives of mortals miserable. That made this place...
...so much fun~!
Among the devilish and vile creatures a speck of pink stood out like a sore thumb. A short, bubblegum-colored girl raced through the village. Gleeful giggling followed wherever she went. While her clothing and features were kind of human, certain unusual traits still set her apart. Odd holes lined her rubbery body. Golden pupils were striking within the black pools. Pale antennae peeked from her messy hair. Those who were knowledgeable of the world whispered among themselves, telling the lesser demons to keep their distance. For that was a Majin, a heartless creature of pure destruction.
...Yes, really. Stop laughing.
Summoned by the sound of destruction, the little Majin hurried over to admire the raining debris. Watching the pretty flames dance and the smoke swirl in the air made her want to dance too. Peering around, she tried to see who had started the fun. She was itching for action too! Her antennae wiggled too, gauging what eyes couldn’t see. Not that person, nooo, nope... Oooh! Upon spotting a promising figure, her eyes glimmered with wonder. She bolted past the gawking crowd, waving frantically to the mysterious man. Did he look familiar? Maybe! Her cheery voice climbed clearly over the brewing murmurs.
“Heeey! Hey, listen!”
The energetic creature circled around the serious man like an excited bee buzzing around a flower. Once she was satisfied that she had his undivided attention, she moved right in front of him. Close. Very close. “Are you playing a game, Hat Mister?” Rising to her tippy toes, she flashed a bright grin. “Zam wants to play too!” Evidently the plan to inspire fear had zero effect on her. However, one didn’t need to ponder the reason for long... Within that girly frame bubbled pure, demonic power. Her ki was like a never-ending lie whispering in one’s ear. At one second it seemed insurmountable, yet laughably feeble at the next. Up and down it fluctuated. Chaotic and utterly unstable.

Was it an attack from a foreign foe? A terrorist attack? An unfortunate accident? Who could possibly tell? Dozens were panicking, others were slithering away with their wounded, mangled bodies or trying to pull their friends out of the fire. A few select ones, who were rotten to the core, were laughing or cheering at the display of horror which took place before their eyes. What mattered, however, was that they were dragged out of their normal unconscious lives, kicking and screaming, and thrown to the real world. They may feel sorrow, they may feel frustration, anger or hatred, but what was important was that their emotions were strong. Because such a conflux of emotions will let them realize that it is the society itself which they have to divert those emotions against. Magnus did not step up, declare his name, or otherwise make it known that he was the one responsible for the act. A revolutionary does not need fame, recognition or even to be known. They just need to be overwhelmed by a single righteous cause, the revolution. They don't need a name, they just need to be the guide to others, no matter what measures it may entail. And Magnus might have just vanished without a trace and moved on - had he not just gotten jumped by one of the demons in the crowd. A pink gummy girl, clearly of demonic heritage, as her ki signature clearly implied, bearing a friendly, yet somewhat mischievous smile, who acted like she had stumbled into an entirely different opera - she apparently did not even recognize that several of her peers had just perished with the fire, and instead jumped at Magnus talking about playing games and asking to play herself, too. And yet, she was clearly aware of the destruction which had just happened, of the suffering which he had just caused. And yet, she did not feel a thing. It immediately evoked plenty of disgusting memories from his years in the Demon Realm - witnessing these sorts of personalities act and exert their will upon the downtrodden is exactly what pulled him to this one way trip to revolutionary madness. Just how much of a sociopath was this girl?.. Magnus scoffed, tipped his hat slightly downwards to obscure his eyes, and replied: "Get lost, girl. Unless you want to experience what just happened to that home with your own flesh and blood." The harsh words left a tense silence in their wake. Zam’s expression immediately soured. Her tiny nose wrinkled and lips tightened like she had just bitten into a lemon. Yet there wasn’t even a hint of fear in that fierce expression, nope... Instead, her hands balled up into trembling fists. “Hmph! No fair!” She flailed in frustration. “It’s not fair to hog all the fun! I wanna play too!” ...Because obviously that was the big problem here. Somehow she had completely missed the part where her life had been threatened. Or maybe that fearlessness had a reason behind it. Hard to say.
Meanwhile, the smarter demons were already running for shelter. They had no intention to be around when the mayhem started. And it would start... That little thing never back down from a fight. However, not all shared the same degree of common sense. Regardless of the imminent danger, the two demons had gathered a large audience. Fights were the greatest entertainment around her after all. Aaand with that in mind some of the greedier fiends were already taking bets on who would win. If one bothered to listen to their chatter, it was evident the uniformed man was the fan favorite for his ruthless attitude. The energetic girl had some support too, if only because she looked more demonic of the two.
The unfortunate village would serve as the arena. Small houses were scattered around, offering hiding places. Or additional targets. It was just another measly village after all. Nobody cared about collateral damage. Trees and occasional boulders lined the perimeter. Fleeing to the wilderness was an option, though the crowd would surely brand that cowardly. And speaking of the crowd, the demons around had agreed not to interfere. Otherwise there was no point to gambling after all. The burlier ones seemed ready to enforce that, giving their shadier peers fierce glares.
Suddenly a strange whistle erupted from the Majin’s body. A burst of steam escaped from the holes lining her body. It ruffled her hair with each spout. However, the tantrum wasn’t just for show. Her power spiked drastically. Beings with sharp senses could’ve seen it coiling around her body like a wispy, pink aura. “You’re big meanie, Hat Mister! If you don’t let me play...” She aimed a dramatic point at his face. “...then I’m gonna kick your butt!” After the declaration, she just naively stood there fuming. The opponent could easily steal the first move like this.

Ah, so he made a mistake in judgment. This was not a sociopath gleaming at the sight of her compatriots perishing in fire, this was a child who did not know any better. It was a mistake Magnus was willing to forgive himself - after all, being the latter often leads you to acting like the former. Children were something to be respected in that regard, a class of living beings who could teach a few things to the rest. To be a revolutionary means to strip yourself away of all societal norms and all empathy towards others, to become worse than even the most evil conqueror and tyrant. Children, who had yet to shackle themselves with societal norms, could do that naturally. People like this pink bubbly girl teach that to lose your empathy with the world is natural. An audience was already gathering around the two demons - clearly, the rest of them cared just as little about the loss which unfolded before their eyes. Magnus did not want to be put on the spotlight today, but if that's what he's gotten himself into, then he figured that he will not hesitate. Besides, if he shows just how much of a terror he is in battle, this terror will be passed down to the audience as well. "Fine then." Magnus muttered with resolution, then let his hands out from underneath his cloak, summoning purple blades of ki around them both. "If you want to play, then I'll let you play with death." Suddenly, the revolutionary swung forth, attacking the pink girl with a barrage of slashes. Just as quickly the pink girl’s expression brightened at the word play. Victorious fists rose towards the sky. “Yaa-” However, the fierce barrage of slashes came out so fast she was caught completely off-guard. The very first strike cut her jubilant glee -and her face- in half. More and more slashes carved right through her. Cloth and flesh alike was sliced cleanly. It was easy, like cutting soft putty. Bit too clean and easy actually...
Suddenly the bits and pieces started wriggling... And pulled themselves back together! Within seconds Zam body was whole again. She flashed a cheeky grin. “Nyeh hee~! That won’t work!” Despite her bold declaration, however, some of the seams didn’t close completely. Her regeneration was still immature. Incomplete. It had a limit. The damage stayed for now. Her clothes didn’t recover with her either, leaving her tank top in tatters. She didn’t seem to mind. Or notice.
The excited Majin immediately launched her counter-attack. Her arms stretched like rubber, seeking to wrap around the foe. If that failed, she would settle for grabbing whatever her grabby hands could reach. First she would’ve given him a crushing squeeze, enough to make his ribs cry. Then she tried to follow up with a heavy slam. “Taaake this!” If it succeeded, the man would’ve gotten buried halfway into the ground. Head first of course. Despite the obvious difference in their heights, she was freakishly strong. Her technique, on the other hand, was... unrefined.

Cutting the girl apart with no hesitation, Magnus suddenly realized that this wasn't going to be the end of the bout - the girl regenerated all of the damage and lunged back at him, much to the amusement of their audience. Before he could raise his ki blade to defend himself, she wrapped her arms around him and tightly squeezed, forcing him to wince - and then tried striking him with a downwards heavy slam. This is where Magnus's instincts suddenly kicked in to high gear. He lived through odds far worse than this, he wasn't going to let himself be made a fool. The ki blade around his left arm vanished and he used his freed hand to grab the incoming strike, holding the pink girl's hands tightly and squeezing them. Not to the point of inflicting pain, simply to push her away while he was getting ready to attack again. Magnus struck again - this time only with the ki blade on his right hand, aiming to cut the girl's body open and leave her limbs scattered across the floor. Even if she regenerated from this, he would just continue attacking over and over until either her body or her mind recognized that it was his tenacity which was superior. Even as the crafty foe escaped the hold, Zam’s excitement couldn’t be dampened. She reveled in the chaos, enjoying each exchanged attack with maniacal glee. Mischief shined in the golden eyes. It was in her nature. In fact, the violence seemed to be rejuvenating her. Some of the old seams now closed, healing fully. That was pretty short-lived though...
More merciless slashed found their mark. As the foe cut the girl’s body open, he also ruined her tank top completely. Sliced apart from the front, it fluttered away. Now she finally reacted, puffing her cheeks with a childish pout. “Ow, hey! That was my favorite top! You big jerk!” Puffs of steam underlined her growing frustration. Meanwhile, she seemed far less concerned about getting her arms chopped off. They had barely flopped to the ground when they already started wriggling. With a quick stretch and snap, they attached themselves back onto her body. Good as new! Almost anyway...
Zam coiled her fingers as if grasping handfuls of air. Pink energy crackled around her arms, gathering quickly into her palms. “Eat this!” She thrust her left hand towards the foe and fired a sudden energy burst. It was like a shotgun blast full of glitter. Violent and blinding. If the foe didn’t shield his eyes, the bright energy might leave him seeing stars. “And this!” The right hand followed suit, releasing another burst at zero range. The two attacks held enough raw power to send an unprepared opponent flying.

Did... did all that Magnus's attack achieve was undressing this annoying girl? Which, by the way, bothered her a million times more than witnessing her compatriots perish in an act of terror - although, it has already been established that this demon couldn't possibly care less about the suffering which her peers feel, so it wasn't really worth drawing attention towards. Magnus struck a faint wince at the girl losing her tank top and her subsequent outburst, but calmed down almost immediately. It doesn't matter, he will take her down just the same. Then the girl suddenly attacked, releasing twin bursts of pure pink energy straight at Magnus's face. The bright violent explosion rolled across the street, blasting several spectators aside and leaving many others rubbing their eyes at the flash of light. As it receded, however, it became clear that the revolutionary demon wasn't going to go down this easily. The blast had sent his feet sliding across the ground, and his eyes were burning from the blinding flash, but he endured both the light and the burst itself through gritting his teeth and pushing through no matter what. "That's not a part of the game we were playing..." Magnus's energy blade disintegrated in the flash, but he simply rebuilt it using his ki, and slashed with his weapon yet again, this time aiming to cut the girl apart in an X formation. Again and again, the little Majin kept recovering from wounds that would have -should have- been lethal to an average creature. It was a mystery how she did it... However, any mystery could be solved with careful scrutiny. A keen mind could piece the puzzle together. One only needed to keep their eyes open and spot... Right there! Just as the foe swung his blades, cutting an X across the air, the malleable body shifted subtly backwards. Shrunk like a deflating balloon. Thus the strike was left shallow. It was such a small motion, born from instinct rather than intelligence. She probably didn’t even realize she was doing it...
Zam countered the comment with a mocking blue tongue. “Nyuuuuuu~ You started it!” The truth may have been debatable, but any smart person knew not to argue with a Majin. It usually ended with a headache. Or worse. While the X-shaped wound on her midriff slowly closed, she focused her gleaming gaze on the tenacious opponent. Her toothy smile sharpened into a shining crescent grin. An ominous question drifted across the air. “Hey Mister... Wanna see something COOL?” Of course the answer didn’t matter much. She was going to show it anyway.
The giddy girl raised her right hand above her head and splayed her fingers. Volatile currents coiled around her arm and formed a wobbly orb. It crackled dangerously, swelling to the size of a volleyball. “Nyeh hee~ Catch~!” With that taunt, she haphazardly tossed the ball at the opponent. It wasn’t the most accurate throw, but it sure packed power. The impact alone resembled a shot from a cannon. Worse yet, shortly after hitting anything it- BOOOM! -blew up. A hefty explosion tore dirt and stone apart. Again that bright glittering threatened to blind anyone who looked at it.

Slicing at the pink bubbly gummy girl almost felt like slashing away at the surface of the ocean. You can slash and cut at it with any ferocity you might want, but the water will simply cover all of the wounds you inflict before your sword even finishes its strike. The same was taking place here. Magnus was dealing damage, that was certain, that was visible, but the girl would simply fix all of it and come out none worse for wear as soon as he would finish striking. And the problem was that Magnus could not respond with much of the same. The clan he was born into did not have that ability, even though a few demon clans did. Until about a hundred years ago, his clan could not even come out to the sun without burning to a crisp, this was why the legendary progenitor of their clan tried to destroy the Sun with the power of a hypnotized school girl. And no, none of that was exaggerated. The demonic girl raised her hand to the sky and summoned a ball of energy, too large and too fast for Magnus to dodge. So, instead, the blonde demon crossed his arms, allowed his ki blade to dissipate, and took the attack directly. A powerful explosion followed, shaking the entire village and destroying everything in its wake, whether it be building or demon. All except for Magnus. Once the explosion receded, he still stood there. Pushed away, wounded, but standing regardless. "That wasn't cool. Judging from the fire it set to my hair, it was the opposite of cool." Magnus joked in response and blew from his mouth to put out the flame burning on a flick of his mane. Even though he was throwing out a joke, in truth, he was in no mood for humor. Nor has he ever been. So instead, he created his ki blade yet again and charged forward, this time aiming to slice the girl in half as if she were a slice of bread. As the dust danced in the air, so did gleeful laughter. Zam hopped and flailed excitedly, admiring the fading explosion. It was her very own fireworks show. Despite the massive amounts of energy the attack took, she didn’t even seem winded. Like she had plenty more where that came from... Well, her small and squishy body contained terrifying amounts of raw power, as the opponent got to experience first hand. Meanwhile, those demons who didn’t get buffeted by the shockwave were also getting noisy. Some cackled victoriously, others groaned in frustration. Demands to pay up were thrown around. The game was over. After all, there was no way anybody could... survive...

Jaws dropped and eyes bulged. Unified shock shut the audience up. Cold sweat ran down their skin. What kind of monster could survive that...? The majin, on the other hand, blinked at the sight. Once and twice. A big, warm smile shined on her features. “Ooh, you’re pretty strong, Mister! You didn’t go boom!” That meant they could keep playing! Yay! And this time she was ready for the blades. The first strike was left incredibly shallow, scratching a small cut on her sports bra. Her body shifted faster, avoiding the second attack completely. She was adapting at an alarming rate.
Grinning, Zam flared her own energy. “I wanna try that too.” Her aura intensified again, coating her whole body. Suddenly she lunged, mimicking the man’s arm motions. Her fingers were held straight and rigid, almost like a blade. ...Buuut what came out instead was a kid’s karate chop. And another to go with it. Even if they hit, they wouldn’t cut a thing. The girl noticed that too. She paused after the attacks, aiming a puzzled stare at her fingers. “Hey, why don’t my hands to that beooow zing thing?” Yes, she had honestly expected it to be just that easy. Well, in her defense, the fellow demon made the difficult technique it look easy.

It was a mistake to misjudge the pink gummy girl and assume that she was merely a child with a lot of demonic power which she was unable to wield. No, she was perfectly able to wield all this power, and the one wielding it was a powerful, dangerous demon with zero regard for others. She merely laughed off all of Magnus's attempts to slash away at her, all of his attacks either leaving minor wounds or missing the target entirely. That's the thing - she was not just a dangerous opponent, she also improved as time went, growing more and more threatening with each swing. Magnus stepped back, holding onto his cloak in the wind, while the demon girl announced that she was going to try to copy his ki sword technique. For a second, he thought that she was actually going to manage it - but no, her ki skills were nowhere near advanced enough to accomplish that. Not that the karate chop which she swung with did not hurt regardless - the blow forced Magnus to guard and pushed him away, briefly wincing from the pain. "Just because of that, I'm going to not show this technique to you any more." the blond gushed out. His ki blade dissipated in the wind, leaving him with two barren hands. And then, he attacked, first sending a jab between the girl's eyes, then following it up with a chop towards her neck. Zam puffed her cheeks, pouting at the refusal. “Hmph! Meanie!” She folded her arms, steaming with frustration. Literally. Tiny jets of hot steam whistled into the air. Why were adults always hiding stuff from her? Like the time other demons wouldn’t let her see a magazine they all obviously loved, insisting that is was for adults only and that she wouldn’t understand anyway. Usually they let her join in on the fun... But that time they had gotten super awkward about it! So weird...
The swift jab hit dead on, bopping the Majin’s head back. Striking it felt soft too. She squeaked, reminiscent of a rubber toy. “Ow!” Likewise, the chop struck her neck hard enough to leave a dent. Oddly enough, the blunt injuries remained while the old cuts kept healing. Evidently it didn’t hamper her breathing though, judging by how she kept talking. “Then I’m gonna make you show it!” Her plan was to pin him down and punch him until he agreed. It usually worked.
With an almost fierce war cry- “Yaaaaah!” -Zam leaped at the foe. She tried a full body tackle, meant to knock the man over. Grabby hands reached for him, aiming to grab whatever they could. Then would come the pummeling part. Unfortunately her brilliant plan had two major flaws... She was much lighter than him. And way worse at close combat. The grab was haphazard at best, as she tried to latch onto him. Similarly, the pummeling was more like... flailing angrily.

Trying to punch the gummy pink girl felt like hitting a very light punching bag - all of his strikes dug into her flesh, but would pop out immediately after and leave no lasting damage. In fact, the only tangible effect which Magnus's punches left was the girl turning even more angry. For whatever reason, the fact that Magnus chose to stop using his energy blade, essentially holding back an important tool in his arsenal, infuriated her. She wanted to see it, and he denied her that right. Children... The girl's stretchy gummy arms suddenly grabbed onto the demon, holding him tightly, and were followed up by an all-out pummeling. Despite the ferocity, Magnus was able to withstand all of the attacks, the punches leaving no dent on his skin or clothes. That's not to say that it did not leave him ferocious to see himself get humiliated like that. "You..." Magnus clenched his fists and ignited his aura, tapping into his ki reserves and sending a burst of energy across the battlefield to blow the girl away from his body. He attacked immediately after, charging forward to send his elbow towards the girl's head to try to slam her to the ground, then followed it up with a foot stomp.
