Being the Capital of the World, Central City had its fair share of strange sights. Buildings taller and shinier than any village hut... An endless stream of colorful cars driving around reminiscent of a metal river... People dressed in fashions wild and varied... It was all a bit too much for someone who was visiting for the first time. Like, for example, a small visitor who had just snuck inside. The strange girl stood out from humans due to her bubblegum-colored skin, eerie black eyes and pale horns jutting from the messy hair. Her outfit wasn’t much compared to the city fashion either, just a comfy set of sporty clothing. There was a new Majin in town.
Aaaand she was super lost!
Zam had wandered around for what felt like ages. At least by her definition. She had looked all over the place, until the countless sights had made her head spin. And she still couldn’t find... it. See, for once the little Demon wasn’t just snooping to sate her curiosity. She was here to settle a score! Weeks ago, a big mean human named Muscle Miss had beaten her up right there outside this place. Now the little girl had finally gathered enough courage to come back. This time, she even had a plan... One she was very proud of... She was going to beat up all the meanies! And steal all their candies! Good plan? Great plan!
Smugly the Majin closed her eyes, folded her arms and nodded to herself. Hehee, yup yup~! This time the meanies would be the ones crying. ...Unfortunately she really should’ve been watching where she was going, because she accidentally ended right on the road. A loud honk shook her out of the daydream. Too late. A car slammed right into her, veering off the road and crashing to the side of a building. People gasped and ran to help. Someone just got hit by...!

Suddenly the wrecked vehicle shifted. With a grunt of effort and cry of metal, it rose from the ground. The small child hoisted it effortlessly over her head. Her crushed body was rapidly returning to its rightful shape... But she was still kinda miffed. “That hurt!” A massive surge of pink energy erupted around her. Those savvy in the art of sensing could feel the unmistakable chill of demonic magic. “You big meanie!” She chucked the car back onto the road, bowling through three others. The crashing sound echoed far, along with people’s screams.

The car slid across the street rather violently, almost tipping over and rolling several times, before it finally came to a screeching halt. The traffic also came to a full stop, several of the civilians began fleeing the scene, while others hid behind benches, postboxes and other cars to watch the scene unfold. Suddenly, the passenger door of the car popped off, kicked away by a powerful force, and a seven foot tall man in a dark red coat wearing sunglasses wrangled out of the machine. Duke Luciferius Satan had chosen to take a taxi cab to travel to the Central City Bus Station, from where he was hoping to make his way back to Orange Star City and thus the Satan Mansion - but it appears that life has had different plans. A puffy, angry pink bubblegum girl stood in the center of the street, the same one which had yanked his taxi cab and sent it rolling across the street. Thankfully, the driver was only wounded... but how careless can you be to flail your power around like that? The Duke could not sense ki, so he could not tell just how demonic the aura of the little girl was - what he did know, however, was that this was clearly a powerful ki user. The way how she completely shrugged off a car and then tossed it away should be enough to reveal that. Even though the Duke should have been mad at his travel being disrupted, the excitement overwhelmed any harsh feelings he might have had. Astonishment spread in waves among onlookers. Like ripples in a pond. N-nobody got badly injured? Most sighed in relief. Though admittedly someone's opinion was somewhat... divided on that. Much to the miffed Majin’s disappointment, none of the cars exploded. No boom, no fireball, nothing! Her pout got a whole lot grumpier. In those moving pictures the bigger demons watched cars exploded even at the tiniest bump. She felt tricked... cheated... bamboozled! And she wasn’t even sure what that last one meant. But she felt it nonetheless.
A sudden shout stole Zam’s attention. She immediately snapped back. “I’m not little! I’m a big girl!” A very calm and mature stomp of foot underlined her claim. She marched over to the stranger, stopping right in front of him. Her golden gaze studied him closely, even when she had to crane her neck upwards. With hands on her hips, she made sure to clear the obvious misunderstanding. “Zam is not a marital tart. Zam is a Majin, is what Zam is!” She just had no idea why this person would be searching for her. Her antennae wiggled, measuring what eyes couldn’t see. Hm. A strong tingle. But not familiar...
After a moment of pondering and wondering, the tiny demon finally voiced a sudden question. “Are you a meanie, Huge Mister?” Her glare narrowed. Veeerrry suspicious... Sharp eyes might notice strange glimmering slowly spreading across her skin, like an invisible hand was sprinkling glitter all over her body. She was getting ready... for mischief! Aiming a sharp point at the man, she made a clear threat. “If you’re a meanie... Then I’m gonna beat you up!” ...But the sheer size difference kiiind of deflated it. Quiet titters crept around the cowering crowd. What could this weird little kid do against a towering mountain of a man anyway?

The Duke soon realized that he was dealing with no ordinary human martial artist. No, the person before him was a some sort of creature, with the awareness of a child who had been locked up in a room for all of its life and only now let out into the greater world. She did not even know what "martial artist" meant, believing it to be a some sort of name, and then declared in response that she was a "Majin", whatever that meant. Without any further ado, before the towering man could even respond, she asked rather loudly if he was a "meanie", too. Ah, does she mean a villain? How the girl managed to come to the conclusion that he must be a some sort of villain was beyond him. What has he done to her? All he did was step out of the car which she totaled and asked her a question - if anything, she was the villain here, but he wasn't accusing her of anything... "Me? A meanie? Nahhh!" the Duke replied in a loud, thunderous voice, and pushed his sunglasses up his nose. "I am no meanie! How could I be a meanie? No, I was searching for you because I have this!" The Duke snapped with his hand, a Satan Candy in bright red and blue wrapping appearing in between his fingers. A classic magic trick, one which he learned during his travels. If he's going to be dealing with someone who acts like a child, then he needs to step down to the level of one. "I have a piece of candy, the sweetest candy on the face of the planet, in my hands - and I travel the land in search of the nicest lady to offer it to. The Majin cocked her head curiously. Her lips formed a little o. Not a meanie...? After a brief pause, just a beat in the rhythm of the conversation, she nodded. “Oh, okay!” Yep, it was that easy. Naturally, the naive creature believed the boisterous man’s claim without a second thought. Well, to be fair, he didn’t seem mean. Especially not when he revealed his secret weapon. With just one motion, he gained her undivided attention. The golden gaze blinked at the snap, unsure if she was seeing right.. Her tiny nose twitched, confirming that it really was...

Zam’s expression brightened. All the anger and puzzlement was completely forgotten. “Oooh! Gimme!” Immediately her grabby hands reached for the sweet treat dangling right above her head. Buuut she was way too short. Even rising to her tippytoes wasn’t enough. Hnnnngh, gah... So close, yet still so far... The mere mention of the ‘sweetest candy’ left her drooling. She nodded excitedly at the idea, almost bouncing in place. “Uh huh! Zam is super strong! I’ll show you!” Her grin sharpened and muscles tensed. Welp, too late to back down now. Someone reeeally should’ve told the poor bystanders to take cover...
Suddenly the little demon’s rubbery arms stretched towards the tall man. They flailed wildly, trying to latch onto his thick wrist or powerful bicep. Anything within reach really. If he got caught, he would’ve found the grip deceptively strong. “Now gimme... the candy!” She yanked with all her might, meaning to pull the man over her shoulder... and to slam him against the pavement! It could have passed for a judo throw. ...If one’s idea of judo was hastily cobbled together from movies and seeing someone bigger do it, like, once. The idea was there, buuut the execution was all over the place.

The Duke's prediction came true - though, to be fair, the little Majin girl did not seem difficult to predict at all. He offered her the sweetest candy imaginable in exchange for beating him, and she dropped everything in order to jump at him and try to wrestle with him. Did she not hear him correctly? Her task is not to take the candy away from him, but to defeat him, and she will have the candy as a reward! "Hold your horses, miss!" the towering human announced, grabbing ahold of the Majin's head as she lunged at him and pushing her away. "That's not how this works! You're not supposed to just take the candy away, but to defeat me with everything you've got! Only then will you be worthy of the pure sweetness of the Satan Candy!" The girl had a lot of ki, he could at least concede that. Duke Satan, on the other hand, had nothing, he couldn't even sense her power - all he had was a dutiful training regimen and a lot of guts. But sometimes, in battle, that was more than enough. The Duke fiddled the candy in his fingers, it suddenly vanishing just as quickly as it appeared, and moved his fist back. Almost immediately after, he threw it forward with built up force, releasing a powerful torrent of air just from the striking force alone, aiming to throw Zam away and send her rolling across the street like a piece of tumbleweed. In martial arts, careless flailing usually ended in an awkward fall. Like right now. Zam hands failed to grab anything at all and instead she got grabbed herself. Pushed away, she fell onto her backside with a tiny squeak. “Eep.” She gasped when the candy vanished. “Wha-? Nuuuh!” In her eyes, it was like... magic! But at least she now understood what to do. Beat him up, yup, got it. Before she could get back on her feet though, the mighty gust sent her tumbling and bouncing backwards. Suffering small scrapes along the way, she slammed against the nearest wall with a bit bigger squeak. “Eep!” ...Face first. Slooowly she flopped back onto the pavement. A weak groan escaped from the bruised heap.
“Ow...”
Soon the girl stirred, pushing herself up again. Even her malleable body couldn’t fully absorb the impact. Not even nearly. Blood trickled from her squashed nose. Bruises had formed across her body. Small scrapes marred her skin. ...Except the smallest injuries were beginning to disappear, healing rapidly. She shook the dizziness from her head and charged. “I can do that too!” Just like the man had done earlier, she drew her left fist back. Her rubbery muscles bulged, building power. Yet... When she punched, there was no torrent of air. Instead, her entire arm stretched. The extending punch was aimed at the opponent’s gut. Immediately afterwards, the right fist followed the example. It rocketed towards his face, carrying enough power to send and average adult flying. But he wasn’t exactly an average adult...

The air burst strike was successful - the sheer force of the blow tossed Zam away and sent her body rolling across the street, until it finally flopped down on the floor. After a few pained grunts, the pink bubbly girl jumped back into action, however, having seemingly lost not a single bit of her enthusiasm. In response to the Duke's powerful blow, she struck with her own - but instead of whipping up a torrent of air, she extended her fist, as if it were a string of gum. "I see!" the Duke yelled, proudly. One of the punches struck him in the abdomen, but he didn't even seem to notice it, whereas the other zipped past his head. Taking advantage of this, he suddenly grabbed onto the stretching arm besides him, in order to prevent the girl from moving or striking him a third time. "You must be made of bubblegum! That's why you want that candy so much, don't you? Because it's as sweet as what you're made of?" At least, that's what he guessed the Majin girl's nature should be. She isn't sticky, so she is at least not made up of chewed up bubble gum, that's an improvement. While the Duke held his opponent's outstretched arm, he suddenly struck the air yet again, releasing a powerful, overwhelming shockwave, combined with a torrent of air, which all crashed down towards her like an unstoppable wave. Much to the Majin’s eye-bulging surprise, her super special stretchy punches... did nothing! “Whaaah-?” Usually even big people went flying! Luckily, the man’s words stole her attention. She cracked a cheeky grin. “Hee, silly~! Zam is not made of bubblegum! Zam is made of...!” Suddenly her proud attitude deflated. “Uh... umm...” An unsure hand rose to cup her chin. What was she made of? The big demons had read her a book that said little girls were made of sugar, spice and everything nice... But what about big girls? And big Majins? She let out a pensive hum. Trails of steam started rising from her head.
Before the simple child’s mind overheated, another shockwave shook her out of the thoughts. The unstoppable wave sent her back again. Aaand right into the same wall with a splat. “Oof!” However, this time she bounced off and back onto her feet. Despite the powerful nature of the attack, she seemed to recover much faster this time. It wasn’t just imagination either. Her regeneration was visibly accelerating. In a strange inversion of basic physiology, she wasn’t getting winded from her injuries... Instead, the longer she fought, the stronger she got.
As the foe was about to find out...
Suddenly, a mischievous glint entered Zam’s gaze. Her smile sharpened. “Hey Huge Mister... Wanna see something COOL?” For something seemingly playful, it held ominous undertones. Of course, she was way too excited to stop even if he said no. She lifted her hands and coiled her fingers. A sudden surge of energy gathered in her palms, filling them with glittering glow. They condensed into orbs, about the size of a baseball. “Here, catch!” She chucked the glowing balls straight at the man. Upon impact with anything, they would explode into massive shower of twinkling sparks. Heavy blasts with a potentially blinding aftermath.

In the midst of wondering over what she was made of, Zam found herself splattered across the wall by a powerful torrent of air yet again - and, much like last time, it had as much impact as if the Duke were trying to use his punches to break apart a piece of paper. It would fly in the air and flap around, but ultimately land unaffected. This was definitely no ordinary girl, as if the Duke needed any further convincing - and as time went on, she seemed to grow stronger, too. She chose to display that strength, too, raising her hands to the air and summoning two bright, powerful orbs of ki. Duke Satan watched in awe, the light of the attacks glimmering off his pitch black sunglasses, then moved into position when the two orbs shot straight towards him. The first was faster and stronger, the towering Earthling took the brunt of the force by crossing his arms and digging into the heels. The attack exploded, but any and all blinding effect which it might have had reflected off the Duke's sunglasses. "Ahahahaha!" he released a jolly laugh and fixed his glasses, pushing them upwards, while the second orb barreled towards him. "Magnificent, big girl, simply magnificent!" Ki blasts and energy orbs were always such a lovable spectacle to look at. The Duke winded back his foot and kicked the second Bright Blast back at its source - however, it lost most of its energy and brightness on the way, shrinking to the side of a baseball before it was anywhere close to the Majin. Awe and amazement shined in the golden gaze when the foe kicked the orb back. Zam had never seen anyone do that before! She barely even realized that the super tough man was still unscathed. “Ooh, I wanna try that too!” Majin see, Majin do. Mimicking the man’s motions, she too winded back her foot. Sadly, the energy orb had lost so much power that upon getting kicked just... popped. Poof. The blast was too weak to even damage her. She blinked. Once. Twice. Then disappointment washed over her features. “Aw...” Silently she resolved to try kicking back the next glowing ball thrown her way. No matter how big! Little did she know it might never happen...
Still, being finally acknowledged as a big girl at least dampened the disappointment. It made the small Majin feel all warm and fuzzy inside. “Hehee~ Yup! Zam is super magnified!” Mercilessly butchering yet another word, she squeezed her hands into fists and focused. “Now watch this... Hmmmph...” A whistle reminiscent of a boiling tea kettle pierced the air. Spouts of steam ruffled her boyish hair. Massive amounts of energy started coursing from her core. They were intense enough to become visible as bolts crawling across her skin. Most martial artist would’ve known that now was a great time to take cover. Reckoning was coming.
...Well, a tiny one.
Suddenly thrust her left hand forward, firing out a pink ki bolt. Tiny and swift, it lacked the blinding, explosive power of the big orbs. But... It brought friends. Lots of friends. Her hands blurred as she unleashed a rapid barrage of ki bolts. What seasoned warriors performed as a single, flowing move, she instead flailed through with sheer speed alone. Within seconds, the foe would get engulfed in a potentially painful storm of glittering stars.

The Duke scored a goal, but the attack fizzled into nothingness by the time it reached the Majin again, dealing no damage to the Majin girl at all. Ah, that was a disappointment, but at least he has managed to leave the girl even more excitement! In a martial arts battle, excitement is great. It leads both sides wanting to display their very best, and seeing their very best was exactly what the Duke was after! The Majin girl delivered on this excitement. Once again, she ordered the towering Earthling to watch, and he did so religiously - she immediately acted upon this built up hype by releasing a powerful barrage of energy blasts his way. Each and every one of them faster and stronger than the next. Amazing! Simply amazing! The Duke crossed his arms, taking the sheer force of the barrage head-on, each and every one of the energy blasts exploding straight into his face and shrouding him in a cloud of dust. Zam's attacks were certainly powerful, he was going to give her that. But the Duke was a tough nut to crack. Was she going to be able to crack his defenses before her exhaustion finally kicked in? "Have at you!" the Duke suddenly yelled, leaping out of the fog and sending a dual chop at the Majin girl - first with his right, then with his left, both at his opponent's neck. Rapid blasts rocked the scenery. Stray bolts that missed their mark instead punched holes in nearby walls. Bystanders screamed. And Zam laughed. The ensuing dust and destruction was met with childish glee. Excitement bubbled in her mind like a fizzy drink. It tickled her senses in the best ways. More... She wanted more! Unfortunately it also left her wide open for the counterattack.
When the behemoth of a man burst through the swirling dust, the girl barely had time to gasp. Stray sparks flew back at her during the charge, marking the end of the barrage. One after another, the heavy chops landed. Duke would find the girl was indeed a lot like living bubblegum. ...Except she wasn’t sticky. Her body bent and stretched beneath the hands. Humans would’ve been in a lot of trouble after that kind of combination. Majins, on the other hand, not so much. She wheezed something resembling a snicker past her crushed windpipe.
“...!”
More volatile sparks crackled around the demon's body. They circled around her chest like a rapidly burning fuse. It was all the warning the martial artist got before... Boom! A pink explosion erupted from her, swallowing the immediate chunk of the street. Anything too close got blown back. Or in the case of an unfortunate mailbox, sky high. Within the cloud of dust, golden eyes burned and a crescent grin shined. “Hey Huge Mister!” Evidently her neck had already regenerated enough. “Can you bounce this~!?” Out came another bright orb, about the size of a volleyball. Twirling wildly, it was aimed haphazardly at the sturdy foe’s chest.

As the Duke already expected, even nearly decapitating the pink Majin girl did nothing to stop her in her tracks - even while her neck was chopped to pieces, she turned at him and suddenly released a powerful explosion from her body, engulfing everything in sight. The towering man reacted in time and leapt back, however, leaving himself unharmed by the technique - however, the energy blast which came his way after that pulled off far better. Fast, bright and powerful, it caught the Duke unprepared and slammed straight into his frame - and though all the damage it did was a few scratches and cuts across his upper arm, the sheer luminosity of the attack left him temporarily unable to see. Apparently, even his sunglasses have a limit to how much light they can take. And the little girl was happy about it! She was excited to show off all the power which her body contained, at the expense of everyone and everything else around her. She flailed all of her strength around wildly, giving little thought to who could be in the way - that's not the path of a martial artist, that's the path of a villain! "Girl, before we could continue on, I need to tell you one thing!" Duke Satan announced, pushing his glasses upwards to obscure the fact that he had to keep his eyes closed from the overwhelming light. "Learn to control yourself! Don't destroy everything around you - if you do, and if you leave people hurt, that makes you a bad girl, and bad girls get no candy!" That should hopefully get her agitation back in the right place. The Duke suddenly charged forth, having recovered much of his stamina in the brief interlude, and continued the fight, sending his right elbow and then his left, in an attempt to smash the Majin girl to the ground with sheer force. More maniacal laughter danced in the wind. The tiny demon almost doubled over from the ticklish sensation. Watching things go boom was so much fun! However, her glee was cut short. The words struck harder than any punch so far. In fact, the hefty elbow smash only flattened her face. Like striking a marshmallow. It was the sheer shock that sent her reeling back. She stammered, weakly repeating the words echoing in her mind. “N-n-no... candy...?” Even as her rapid regeneration popped her face back into the regular shape, it was still frozen in wide-eyed, slack-jawed horror. For a moment there, she was looking kinda pale. If such a thing was even possible for a Majin.
But... Some teachings were rooted deep...
Suddenly Zam shook the nasty words out of her head. Her smile flopped into a grumpy pout. “Hmph! Liar!” The loud rejection was emphasized with whistles of steam. And furious flailing. “Zam is not a bad girl! Humans are bad! They beat and bully my friends!” It wasn’t just something she had heard either, no. She too had gotten bullied by big, mean humans. “My friends say destroying everything is fun and good! Cuz humans are meanies!” Of course she would believe her friends over a stranger. Even if said stranger had candy.
Despite the good intentions, the towering fighter’s words had actually lit the fuse. The little Majin wasn’t done throwing her tantrum... She was only getting started. Her power spiked, burning around her in a menacing blaze. Those who weren’t familiar with ki would instead feel the imminent danger like a shiver scratching at their spine. “I’m gonna beat you up until you say sorry and give candy!” Blissfully ignorant of her own hypocrisy, she took two swings at the opponent’s iron gut. These attacks had mysteriously more power behind them than the previous ones. Even her physical strength was steadily rising.
