Class Features: Strange power and sorcery
Appearance:
She may be small, but she is deadly.
Meredith stands at just over five feet tall; her hair is straight and crimson in hue, it tumbles down over her petite shoulders, ending just before her waist. She has smattering of freckles over her cheeks and nose which contrast against her alabaster complexion. Her eyes are a shade of rust which add into her intense stare.
She is the type of woman who always looks her best. Her nails pointed and ready for use, should she ever need it and not even the tiniest smudge in her make up.
Her preferred style is something figure hugging, showing off her petite frame and womanly curves, she has several pieces of ruby red jewellery, which may or may not have been formed by collecting souls over the years. Each piece contains small amounts of magic which Meredith can use at her leisure (used for flavouring blasts).
Personality:
Meredith has a mean streak. She’s intelligent, tricky and mischievous. While she appears cold and heartless on the outside, for the right person she will do anything. A heart of gold lurks under the cold exterior.
History:
She used to be a normal girl. That was until a damn man broke her heart.
Meredith grew up in a simple village on the outskirts of town. She had a quiet family life, it was her and her father most of the time. Her father was a good, honest, hard-working man. Meredith loved him dearly. When she was fifteen, he suddenly died and Meredith became a ward of the court and it was the court’s decision to marry her off young.
Her husband was emotionally abusive and as such Meredith turned to books to escape. Meredith found she had a flare for dark magic and used to sneak off (while her drunk husband was asleep and snoring) into the woods to practise her new skills. Which came in use one night when she found him in the local bar wench. Seeing red, she killed them both with her newfound powers. Her wedding ring turning red and a new ruby bracelet forming around her wrist at the souls now trapped with her for life.
After that she fled, destined for a new life.
RP Sample:
And there she stood, her hands dripping in blood, her chest heaving, dead bodies all around apart from in the circle where she stood. Her magic flared in her eyes, making them appear as if on fire, she knew she was struggling to keep control. The battle had all but killed her. The smell of singed grass stinging in her nostrils, the rushing of blood in her ears made her close her eyes and focus on becoming grounded again.
Straightening her back, throwing her shoulders upwards, she inhaled deeply letting the cold night air fill her lungs and bring her back to reality. She re-opened her eyes and ran a blood-soaked hand through her hair and evil smile caressing her lips as she surveyed her once heaving battleground. Clicking her fingers, her entire body was cleansed of every drop of blood, mud and other various entrails of human and demon flesh. Not caring about where her black heeled boots would fit, she stepped out of the almost too perfect circle created by her shield magic. The regular feeling of decaying flesh under her feet made the right side of her mouth curl upwards into a small smirk. She did as she had intended here, cleansed the world of yet more scum.
She smiled down as a new, large, perfect ruby pendant formed around her neck on a silver chain. Holding the red jewel up to the light she could see the hundreds of souls swirling, this would make for a powerful battle companion. Which was a positive as she had just consumed the rest of her jewellery in the battle, she had just both created and won.
Meredith walked gracefully down the rather unkempt road towards the local village, her heels clicking against the path as she somehow managed to keep herself upright despite the exhaustion overwhelming her senses. She found a small rather inoffensive looking bar and walked in, she knew she was close to them closing up for the night but somehow managed to charm the barkeep into getting her some food, wine and a room upstairs.
Tomorrow she would deal with the fallout of her actions. Tomorrow she would… her thoughts were rudely interrupted by a stranger opening the door and letting a cold blast of air into the nice warm bar. How irritating…
Meredith’s eyes blinked open, the sunshine was annoyingly bright and right in her eyes. She looked around and waited for her brain to catch up with the rest of her. The only thing was, her brain didn’t catch up. She didn’t know who or where she was. All she knew was that she had a feeling of dread deep in the pit of her stomach and a fog surrounding her memories.
