Dust danced in the arid breeze. Sun shined from the cloudless sky. The air above the sandy landscape wavered with the rising heat. People of the Southern Lands were enjoying, or perhaps dreading, another hot and sweaty day. Farmers had been up for hours by now, tending to their crops. Some hopeful souls dreamed of a lunch break. Occasional travelers passed by the fields on their way to or from Central City. Hopefully they had packed water bottles, because the road was long and lonely.
Unfortunately, some people had much bigger worries than simply having lunch or staying hydrated. Bright flashes and devastating explosions shook a small village at the edge of the Great Central Plains. From a distance, one could see glimmering spouts of energy shoot high into the air before raining back down like some sort of destructive fountain. Panicking farmers were desperately running for the hills, trying to avoid the chaotic blasts. Their desperate screams for help were loud and clear. Someone, something, was attacking. It was sadly a daily blight around here, so close to the demon territories. ...Except that the villagers had never seen a demon quite like this one.
In the middle of all the chaos, a bubblegum-colored creature pranced around excitedly. A tomboyish young girl, a teenager by a generous estimate, stopped to rummage through the remains of a ruined home. She hummed a playful song without a beginning or an end. Dressed in a light set of sportswear, she could’ve almost passed for an oddly pink human. However, a closer look revealed black eyes with golden pupils as well as pale horns peeking through the messy hair. They proclaimed her demonic nature even to those who weren’t proficient in sensing energy. Speaking of which... Her ki signature was a strange one, bobbing up and down without any rhyme or reason. All these traits were the telltale signs of a Majin...
But how many nowadays believed in such silly legends?
Suddenly the little Majin let out a delighted squeal. “Yay~!” She lifted the find above her head, humming a triumphant tune. “Dun nuh nuh nuuuuh~!” In her grasp shined the unmistakable brown wrapper of a huge candy bar. She knew she had smelled it around here! Tearing the wrapper open, she gave the treasure few more tentative sniffs. Hm, it was a little broken... But still good. She took a big chomp, savoring the sweet taste with a smile. Yup, still good~! While she munched away happily, the chain of destruction was halted. At least for the moment.

Cade sat in the shade of a low tree by the side of the road voraciously eating an apple. Soon he would be on his way sown the dusty road in the blistering heat again, looking for some more training and ways to strengthen himself. That was for later though. He looked towards the small village he had just passed. Nice folks there, a lot like the people he grew up with. Kind, had working people who scraped by the best they could, and they grew really good apples. One of the old ladies in town had even given him an apple tart for later. Taking another bite of his apple, he wiped the juice from his chin and started watching the farmers nearby work in the fields. He was starting to get a little homesick when he heard some large booms coming from the direction of the town. Looking he saw explosions, dust and flashes of light, people scattering and running. The apple bounced off the ground in the trail of dirt Cade left in his wake as he charged back to the small town.
Cade ran through the town and passed the panicked villagers as he tracked the source of the explosions to... a small pink thing. It looked like a small girl but it wasn't human, or namek. Must be a demon of some sort... never heard tell of one like this though. He stepped towards it cautiously and called out, "Hey, you! What gives you the right to destroy this town? These people work hard for the little they have!" he looked closer and saw she was eating a candy bar. His voice was incredulous shading to angry, "Did you really do this for a candy bar? Don't you have the money to just buy one? You need to fix the destruction you caused or there's going to be trouble." Cade punched his fist into his hand meaningfully.

Cade started to sweat a bit under the sweltering midday sun, an errant thought crossed through his mind A breeze would be really nice about now. Reaching inside of himself and suppressed half of his power level. It felt like he was holding his stomach in with his mind... it was a weird feeling but one he was becoming used to and his grandfather had assured him it would become easier in time. I don't know how strong this thing is... but it might make her feel a false sense of security if I seem weaker... His grandfather had taught him well the usefulness of being underestimated. It wasn't always enough, but it almost never hurt. He checked to make sure his cryogrenade was within easy grasp on his belt and started approaching the pink demon who was still gobbling the candy bar. Hopping over some of the rubble as he neared. Landing, he kicked a stone out of the way and looked closer at the demon, scratching his head he looked at her again and asked, "What kind of demon are you anyways? I've never heard tell of a pink demon that I can remember." Cade assumed a fighting stance, crouching low with his leading left foot pointed towards his opponent, left arm held out straight and his right arm cocked back hand in a fist. He rocked his neck back and forth, making an audible popping sound and then he stared at the pink demon. It seemed so childlike to be so evil... maybe one day it could learn. Until then, she must be opposed and taught. Today, he would be the one to stand in her way, he only hoped he had enough strength to deter it from further destruction here. He called out to her, "I am Cade Kendrick son of a farmer much like these people. I will not let you continue your rampage unchecked on these poor innocents. When the stranger called out, the pink creature turned her head towards the sound. The pale horns wiggled a little, feeling out what eyes couldn’t see. Yet, she said nothing. All the questions and threats were met with eerie silence. She just kept munching her candy bar while staring at the man. The only reaction he eventually got was that she cocked her head. Curiosity glimmered in the golden gaze. A puff of steam escaped from her head, forming a question mark before the wind blew it away. While he took a stance, she simply took another bite.
Nom. Munch, munch, munch, munch, munch...
Finally, after what felt like a small eternity, the little demon gulped down the last of her sweet treat. With a happy sigh, she tossed the trash over her shoulder. Mmmh, yummy~! Her strange energy signature promptly plummeted, dropping down to nearly the same level as her foe. Was it mockery? Carelessness? Something else? Impossible to say... She smiled brightly and puffed her bouncy chest proudly. “Zam is a Majin, is what Zam is!” Of course she offered no clarification on what exactly was a Majin.
Zam spread her arms, gesturing at the surrounding destruction. “I did this... cuz it’s fun!” Her excited voice chimed cheerfully. Innocently. Without even a hint of deception or remorse... It was simply in her nature. Suddenly she aimed a firm point at the man. “And nuh uh! These people aren’t innocent! They are liars and meanies!” And how did she back the bold accusation? Weeell... “I asked for candy and they said they didn’t have any... But I found it anyway~!” She tapped her nose. Despite being tiny as a button, it was surprisingly sensitive to certain scents. Mainly sweets.
The energetic creature stretched her arms and suddenly started approaching. “Nyeh hee~ Okay, Mister Funny Hair!” Yup, that was his nickname now, whether he liked it or not. “I’ll play with you!” Her steps quickened, from a strut to a skip and finally a sprint. Where the lone hero had a solid stance, a sign of combat experience, the playful girl had none. She seemed like she was full of openings as she ran straight towards him.

The demon's word's seems care free... she thinks this is fun? Heat suffused Cade's body as adrenaline started drumming through his veins. A tense smile curled his lips as he waiting for the... May-jun? Me-Jin? to get into range. Whatever it called itself, it was obviously a demon, maybe he could find out more about what a Ma-June was later. The little pink lady, Zam she called herself, was fast, almost seeming to bounce as she approached. Then her words penetrated his skull... What's wrong with my hair? It's fine, right? I mean why do I care what a demon thinks of my hair anyway... This haircut was always good enough for Dad and Grampa Morita... The demon was almost upon him when he snapped back to focus and launched into motion. As Zam came into reach, Cade's voice cracked with anger as he cried out, "There's nothing wrong with my hair bubble-gum demon! Feel the fury of the Jaguar school!" as his outstretched arm quickly bent in and exploded back out towards the demon's head in an attempt to backhand punch his knuckles through her cheek. He growled as he followed the motion quickly with a strong straight right handed punch using the momentum generated by the backhand. Unsurprisingly, the carelessly charging girl was an easy target. First the backhand strike hit her cheek, twisting her whole head. She squeaked from the impact. “Eep!” Then the follow-up stopped her dead in her tracks. Both strikes sunk into her face effortlessly. Bit too effortlessly... It was like striking living rubber... She took a wobbly step back, yet her hands balled into determined fists. A deep huff of air filled her chest. “Hnnngh!” A strange whistle rustled her messy hair aaand... -POP- Suddenly her head popped back into its normal shape. “Phew~!” There weren’t even any bruises left. She grinned mischievously.
“That won’t work~!”
With the taunting chime, the Majin swiped her hands towards the foe. “Feel the fury of Zam!” One tried to grab him by the wrist of the extended arm, while the other stretched for his throat. If he got caught, he would’ve suffered a painfully crushing grip. She twirled quickly around, clearly trying to drag the man along for a spin. “Flyyyyy away!” If he failed to break free, he would’ve gotten launched into the nearest building that was still barely standing. For someone so small, her physical strength was ridiculous. She had enough raw power to throw a grown adult like a stuffed toy.
After the grab and throw, the chaotic creature stopped to ramble more. “Your hair is all round and smooth and shiny. It looks suuuper funny!” Her words were underlined by gleeful giggling. Then again... This was coming from a demon child who had never heard of the fabled artifact known as... a hair brush.

The demon's skin was rubbery and weird feeling as Cade's punches struck home his jaw dropped a little to see her head cave in. It finished dropping as he almost went into shock when she stepped back and took a breath and popped her head back into shape. His voice was incredulous as he started to say, "What the he..." The little pink demon's arms whipped out almost too fast to follow and started to wrap around his arm and throat. He felt the power in the demon girl's limbs as she started tightening her grip. He narrowed his eyes and concentrated for a moment and his image seemed to blur and leave an after image as he spun and ducked out of the way of her attacks. He danced back a few steps and raised his right hand in front of him with his palm facing the demon. Blue light began to shine around his hand as he gathered together his ki. His face reddened at her taunts, "We'll see who's hair looks funny when we are done demon... there's nothing wrong with round and shiny hair, and at least I'm not a rubber demon!" When he was ready, he jerked his hand back and slashed the air diagonally, sending a whirling blue crescent of energy at the demon, seeking to strike her in the chest. Much to Zam’s astonishment, the opponent danced right out of her grasp. The grabby hands flailed and failed. She retracted her stretchy arms with a quizzical hum. “Huh~?” For a moment there, she had been so sure she caught him. Left so puzzled by the deft dodge, she was an easy target. The whirling crescent found its mark right in the center of her chest. It sliced easily through her tank top and deep into her soft body. She staggered backwards with a startled gasp. “Guh... M-my...” Her eyes widened in horror. “My favorite top!” Yes, because that was clearly a bigger issue than the slash wound. ...Which suddenly closed itself seamlessly. Like it had never even been there. Only the deep cut in the clothing remained as a proof that the attack had landed.
The little demon’s smile flipped into a furious frown. Fists flailing in frustration, she stomped her foot and fumed. “You big bully!” Spouts of steam erupted from the holes lining her body. The whistling resembled a boiling teapot. “I’m gonna beat you up until you say you’re sorry!” She rushed the man with her fists ready. More flailing ensued, though maybe it was meant to be a flurry of punches. She clearly had no martial arts training. Instead, she fought with pure instinct, imitating what she had seen bigger demons do. If the foe got caught in the combo, he would’ve suffered a heavy pummeling. As a finisher, she drew her right fist back and unleashed a haymaker powerful enough to send a grown man tumbling.

Cade smirked as his energy blast hits home... but his smile quickly fades as he sees the demon is only really angry at her shirt being ripped. He shook his head and looked down at his hands quizzically with his eyebrow cocked. He turned his hands over as if looking for an answer there as he muttered, "Why can't I hurt her?" His attention was drawn back to the demon as she screamed at him, "YOU BIG BULLY!" and started charging towards him with steam rolling off of her body. Her fists seemed to blur as the started coming in from every side and he knew he was going to have to move fast to avoid them all.. With a burst of blue light from his body, his movements sped up immensely. He swayed and dodged most of the hits, knocking a couple aside that were to quick to dodge. He tthought he had weathered the storm before he was the huge hay maker she had would up launched towards his face. Using the last of his speed he spun to the side of the punch and got back into his fighting stance, panting hard. "That's quite a temper you have there, little demon. Let's see how you take this." As he finished speaking, he snaked his outstretched hand out to grab the demon's arm, and then attempted to add his right hand and he grunted with effort as he tried to flip her over his shoulder towards one of the remaining buildings that were standing nearby.... Flowing like water, the speedy opponent skillfully avoided every single attack thrown his way. Clearly the smart choice against the pint-sized powerhouse. Much to her wide-eyed surprise. “Wha-? Hey! Stay still!” She had never met anyone so quick. All her previous opponents had either blocked and survived her attacks or... not. This was a whole new experience for someone who was used to being the strongest, fastest and toughest around.
However, the bandit made one dangerous mistake. He accidentally showed the little demon something very interesting... After seeing the whole dance of dodges, the golden eyes suddenly twinkled with curiosity. The haze of anger had to make way for wonder. Hm, maybe...? She looked like an easy target again, until... A very familiar burst of ki flared around her whole body, only pink in color. Her movements accelerated so much she seemed like a blur. Mimicking the motions she had seen just seconds earlier, she sidestepped the first and hand ducked beneath the other.

After the quick dodges, Zam relentlessly pushed the assault. “Take this!” She lunged and thrust her left fist towards the man’s gut, aiming to knock his wind out. “Aaaand this!” Regardless of whether it landed or missed, she followed up with a violent uppercut. If the hefty swing hit, it would’ve launched him high into the air. Despite the fierce pace of the fight, she showed no signs of getting tired. Every attack was thrown with overflowing enthusiasm. The little pink demon seemed to slip through his grasp like a greased ostrich. Frustration burned through his chest for a moment before a pink fist that felt like a ball of iron belted him in the stomach,knocking the breath from his lungs "ooooff...." he had just a moment to parse the pain radiating from his gut before the other pink fist flashed up and caught him under the chin. The world flashed black, white, and pink for a few moments and he felt like he was drifting in a dream. His mind struggled to clear itself and he realized his had been launched into the air and was about to hit a building. He braced himself as best as he could before he smacked down onto the roof of the hut and crashed through.
He stood up and dusted himself off and opened the door to step back onto the street. As he entered the street again, clothing frayed a bit around the stomach from the force of the demon's blow and thatch from the roof in his hair, he decided tt was time to stop playing around. He relaxed his mind and let the rest of his power out... even though he wasn't sure if it would be enough. He took a dep breath and crouched for a moment, reaching for even more power, causing a blue aura to spring up burning around him for a moment before he charged in at the demon, Time to try to end this...

Mischievous giggling chimed in the air when Zam finally landed her attacks. “Gotcha~!” Unfortunately, she was utterly mesmerized by the brief success and thus an easy target. For real this time. The spinning kick hit her face hard. It bashed her nose flat, eliciting a pained squeak. “Eep!” Then the palm strike struck her stomach. Dead center. It sent her flying backwards until she crashed painfully against a collapsed building. These attacks sank far deeper than the previous ones. Even her soft, stretchy body couldn’t fully absorb the devastating impact. An eerie silence fell over the ruined town. The girl laid lifelessly in the rubble.
Average creatures, men and beasts alike, wouldn’t get up after that...
Suddenly a shrill whistle pierced the air. It resembled a warning siren crying out. A massive flare of pink ki erupted from the rubble blowing it away. “That really huuurt!” The earth trembled and dust swirled. At the center of the maelstrom stood the little Majin. The glimmering gold was gone. In its place burned glowing crimson. Her entire body crackled with bolts of unstable energy. All that raw power flowing through her was easily a hundred times greater that the bandit’s might. His attacks had finally done something... They had made her angry!
Zam’s hateful glare focused onto the foe. The whistling stopped. Slowly she cocked her head. “Hey Mister... Wanna see something COOL?” Even through anger, her tone still retained some of that playful chime, making the question all the more ominous. But it seemed she wouldn’t attack until she got an answer...

Elation swept through Cade as his blows struck home, Finally managed to do some damage.... maybe I can win this thing. He started to advance towards the rubble of the building where the pink demon had landed. The village was quiet... almost too quiet as his feet made a almost inaudible scraping sounds giving away his advance. Suddenly, a massive bust of pink light burned into his retinas, leaving an after image seared even after he turned his watering eyes away and closed them for a brief respite. Turning back he saw the pink demon wreathed in power with a maelstrom of rubble encircling her. His muscles tensed and his stomach dropped at her seemingly innocent question, "Hey Mister, Wanna see something COOL?"
Cade gulped and took up a defensive stance, sweat beading on his forehead as he tried to work out just how he was going to avoid being crushed by the power being thrown off by the little demon. Upon hearing the answer, the little demon... smiled. Her teeth twisted into a devilish grin. She raised her right hand towards the skies and splayed her fingers. A massive surge of pink ki crawled up her arm. While she gathered power, violent bolts of static crackled in the air. The unstable flashes were potent enough to harm anything they touched. Suddenly the energy gathered into a tiny, glowing orb above her palm. It pulsed as she forcefully pumped power into it. Even as her own body trembled beneath the intense strain, she wouldn’t stop. Mooore... With each pulse, the sphere grew. Baseball, basketball, beach ball... Until it reached the size some warriors affectionately called... a Death Ball.
Zam’s maniacal smile sharpened. “Catch~!” With the gleeful shout, she chucked the enormous orb straight towards the lone hero. Despite being the size of a small van, it flew deceptively quickly. The impact alone was heavy enough to deal serious damage. And it wouldn’t stop. The sphere threatened to push the opponent backwards, to drag him along for a ride. Just touching the thing was enough to knock power out of one’s body. Upon slamming against one of the ruined buildings... -BOOOOOM- ...it finally detonated in a huge, bright pink explosion. The resulting blast was hot enough to set anything flammable on fire. In the distance, the villagers watched in horror. Their home... was gone...

Cade watched dispassionately as the demon girl gathered the pink light to her and formed it into an ever growing ball of destruction... no longer shocked by her sheer power. Come on Cade ol' boy, you can do this. He once again reached inside of himself and sent a burst of Ki into his tired muscles ramping up his speed in anticipation... as the pink demon gave what sounded like a happy yell and launched the attack at him. He had expected the large ball of energy to be a little slower than it actually was, it was as large as a tool shed it seemed like it should be slow... he started to move out of the way, form blurring... but not fast enough.
It felt like what he imagined getting hit by a semi truck would feel like. His ribs creaked and he was violently tossed to the side from the impact, bouncing down the street for a good ways before he managed to stop himself... just in time to see the huge ball explode into a fiery beacon of destruction. He wobbled to his feet and charged back at the demon who seemed to enjoy destruction the way most children enjoyed playing. He let out a wordless battle cry as he neared her and launched into a flurry of punches to her face and then quickly crouched down, spun and launched an upwards kick up towards the pink demons chin, aiming to send her into the air as he called out, "You can't do this to people's homes with no karma comin' back at you little pink jello demon!"
