Appearance: He's of caramel skin color with black hair and dark brown eyes to complement. He usually wears casual clothes like a blue T-Shirt and blue sweatpants with zippers for pockets. Finally, he has a bit of hair on his forearms and legs, along with a beard trying to form that he shaves every so often.
Personality: Random to say the least. Though, he is usually friendly and tries to make jokes to make the other person laugh or be in a good mood. Calm and a bit straightforward at times if he's just met you.
History: He grew up in a fairly diverse area. Namekians, Beastmen, and Saiyans to name just a few. He would play and interact with other children on the playground. He was wary of the other races since of how they looked. Antenna's, Fangs, Tails. He was shy of them to begin with but eventually warmed up to to the other Races of Dragonball. He played with them almost everyday on the playground. His favorite activity being racing against his friends. His friends were all human to begin with. He would always win in these races, knowing he was the fastest among them. However, when he finally warmed up to the other races and tried to race against them, he saw that they were actually keeping up with him. One had yellow fur with black pokadots that was managing to catch up with him, another with a weird tail that ran on two legs like him. He did win to begin with but each race after, that one tail kid got closer and closer to catching up until, eventually, there was one final race.
He had been looking up to the sky as the other kids began to stretch. He looked around at the other kids. There was his "Green" friend. He had always been faster than him so he didnt have to worry too much. He looked over to his "Furry" friend. He always thought they looked like a cheetah. Maybe that was why they were so fast. He managed to barely beat them with each race but he didnt like how close it was. Finally, he looked over to his closest friend. "Tail" friend. That one was always super fast. He was actually the slowest to begin with but with each race, it was like he was an entirely different runner. Last race, they almost tied with him. He began to breathe in and out to make sure he had air in his lungs. They all got lined up at the starting line. It was from the playground to the chain link fence back. Another kid was counting down “3,2,1… Go!” He ran off, trying to push off his legs as fast as he could. His feet trying to make as much contact to the ground. He wanted to look to his sides, see how far ahead he was or if there was anyone he needed to be faster than. He almost just slammed into the chain link fence before trying to bounce off and running back to the starting line. That’s when he saw it. The tail kid was already half way back to the starting line. His eyes widened as he then began to run back as fast as he could, as fast as his little legs could take him. He ran and ran. Maybe he could at least tie!
He was panting, trying to catch his breathe as everyone cheered for the tail kid. He was running what just happened over and over in his head. What did he do wrong? Did he breathe wrong? Was he not pushing his legs hard enough? He had always won in races! Why did he lose this one? The tail friend walked back over to him, smiling and extending a hand out “That was a fun race! I finally beat you!” He stared at the tail friends hand before reaching out and shaking their hand in return “Yeah…” He wanted to ask so many questions. He wanted to say so many things but he just couldn’t get his words out. The Tail kid just smiled and let go before returning to the playground, continuing to play. He just stood there, right on seeing how he lost to a tail kid…
After that, he felt heavily demotivated to run. Add to him moving to a different school and seeing people were faster than him there too, he just kinda stopped running totally. He didn’t know what to strive for anymore. That was until, he saw a movie about fighting. He saw them jumping, kicking, doing cool moves! Could he do that? He wanted to do that! He went about his day, wanting to learn how to do that. That’s when he heard about place that taught self defense. He thought it was karate or something so he walked to the place. He made there and signed up, even if shyly. Months passed and he managed to grow into a strong, and motivated, student. He felt happier than he has since his lost. He didn’t even have to deal with that tail kid. There weren’t even any kids here with tails! Well, except some beastmen but they didn’t count. They weren’t weird like tail people were. That was until, they showed up again…
He had trained, trained so long and hard for that kid to show up and just run his way to the top. It took him months to get to orange belt while it took tail kid only one! He was really starting to be annoyed by them and soon, start to hate them. It was just so weird that they thought they were friends. They weren’t! They never were! Everyday they tried to talk to him but he didn’t want to talk to them. Why were they even here? He knew to train but why here? Maybe he could lose them at the tournament coming up, he would do his best there.
There they were, standing in front of him. Smiling like a jerk. He didn’t like them! He didn’t want to see them! He just wanted to grow without them around. Punch, miss. Kick, Miss. Punch, Miss! Kick, MISS! He tried his best, as hard as he could but it just wasn’t enough. He wasn’t fast enough. He lost. Not just in his first round, not landing one hit, but he lost to the person he most hated. He was frozen to the spot before being escorted out. He felt his emotions begin to bubble to the top. Rage, Sadness, and Confusion. Rage at them, Sadness at losing so easily in front of everyone, and Confusion as to how they got so strong in so little time. He looked up at the person helping him take off the helmet and asked one question. “Was I too weak?”
RP Sample: How… could he lose? He stood infront of the starting line, looking at the tail boy playing on the playground. Was this something to be upset about? No! It was just a game. He shouldn’t be upset. He should just let it go. He would get faster. Faster than that tail kid. Faster than anyone here! He had a lot of growing up left. He would be faster. He just had to be patient…
He stood in-front of the building, looking through the windows to watch the other kids do kicks and punched. He fiwntly remnered the cool punches and kicks from the movie he watched. He wanted to learn that! He could learn that here. But they weren’t doing that. He noticed the belts around their waist along with the white robes the kids wore. Maybe this really wasn’t for him. He was about to leave in nervousness until he saw this large man in a black robe with a cool black belt around his waist. He came out from a room and heard him tell everyone that kicking the bags were done. They all lined up infront of the cool looking guy and they all got in a squat like stance, their fists next to their waist and with faces serious as they could be. “Now, PUNCH!” The kids punched infront of them with a loud “Hya!”. “Again!” Another punch from all the kids in the room followed. The master then began to circle the kids, telling them to do it again and again. He watched in awe as he thought this was awesome. This would make him stronger! He swallowed the spit building up in his mouth as he walked to the door, opened the door, and tried to walk inside without seeming stiff. The master kept yelling before quieting down when they saw the boy. They told the other kids to keep punching as he walked over to the boy. “Can I help you?” The man asked in a hoarse tone, their voice a bit low from all the yelling. “Um… yes…. Can… is this where I train?”
He was changing into his uniform, a calm look on his face as he changed alone. He heard the other kids talking with each other in the other room. He didn’t like changing the other people. It just felt weird. He tied his yellow belt to his waist as he walked out of the bathroom with the other kids. He didn’t talk to them, keeping his head down. He couldn’t help but glance at them as he walked by. There was a mix of them. Some were like him, others had fur which he finally knew were beastmen. There was a namekian talking to a human. He didn’t mind them. He knew he shouldn’t be afraid of them. That would be mean. He left the room and walked to the mat where the master was waiting for them. He sat down, looking up at the master. He felt calm here, stronger. He hoped he could learn to jump and kick people in the air. He wasn’t sure when he could do that but he hoped it was soon. Maybe he just had to be patient. He still was only a yellow belt. His master probably could beat up 10 guys on his own like that movie. Maybe he could be- he heard the doors bell ring out, signaling someone entered the dojo. He looked over to the door, confused who entered. Nobody was this late, who was this? That’s when he saw them… that… that tail kid…
“I heard I can get stronger here! Is that true?” The tail kid asked with a grin. The master walked over, happy at the kids spirit. “Of course! This is where you get stronger. Would you like to join?”
He had gotten his orange belt just a month ago. The tail kid had got his orange belt too! How did they get it so fast?! He didn’t know how but he just tried to focus on punching and kicking his bag. The tail kid walked over to him wnd punched a bag next to him. “Hey! I know you! Do you remember me? When we used to race.” He cringed when the tail kid tried to talk to him. He couldn’t be rude though and just responded without looking at him “Yeah… I remember you.” He responded, trying to sound, at the very least, neutral to see the tail kid again “Wow! I thought I would never see you again! You were so fast! It took a lot of running for me to even catch up to you!” The tail kid responded with glee. Their kicks pushing and moving the bag much more than his own kicks were. “Yeah…” “So, why did you join. I thought you wanted to become a runner! Remember? Fastest runner in the world?” Roderick punched his bag just a bit harder “Yeah…” the tail boy was quiet before speaking again “Well, I joined because I wanted to get stronger! I heard you could get alot stronger here than just training at home. My pappy told me that.” Was his dad a monkey? Like an actual monkey that was with a human? He didn’t say anything and just kept hitting his bag “… why aren’t you talking? Are you angry?” The tail kid asked as Roderick tried to keep himself from trying to punch the kid “Um… no… I’m just focused…” “Oh! You’re trying not to let any distractions distract! Ah! Okay! I’m sorry! It’s just nice meeting you again. Hope we can fight with each other one day!” The tail kid then jumped and kicked the bag, knocking it over from its foundation before the kid landed on their feet “Oops!” He said as he fixed his bag again. Roderick felt his rage boiling as he punched even harder, trying to knock his own bag over.
The tournament came up and he joined. He couldn’t not join. He had to represent his team. He thought it was going to be dojo vs dojo but that wasn’t exactly how it worked. He got on the stage, infront of a small crowd of people. This tournament was local so it wasn’t big. Just familys from the area to watch their kids compete. He put on his helmet, his vest, and finally took off his shoes. He was ready to fight whoever they would send at him. So, someone got on the stage. He saw them begin to put on their vest and helmet. As they did this, he saw a glimpse of the tail. His eyes widened and he began to feel worried. His palms sweating as a wave of heat rushed over him. He couldn’t lose. Not them. Anyone but them. He felt his worry turn to rage as he tried to reassure himself. He had been training way longer than tail kid! He could beat him. Tail kid got on the stage with his helmet and vest and walked infront of Roderick. The referee came up and told the two the rules. No kicking below the vest, no biting, and no tail grabbing. The referee backed up and as soon as they said Go, the tail boy recognized him. “Wait, that’s you?!” Roderick didn’t answer and just rushed at the tail kid. He tried to punch them but they moved out of the way. “Oh my gosh! It is you! I can’t believe it! We’re finally fighting! Ive always wanted to fight you!” Roderick tried to punch again before trying to kick them. The kid dodged both attempts, backing up each time. “You don’t have to hold back, you can go at your fullest!” Rodericks heart sank when they said this. This was his fullest. He tried to kick them but they just dodged again “Hey, I said you can fight at your fullest.” A punch. Another miss. “Hey, can’t you hear me?” Punch and a miss “I said to give it your all.” Another attempt, another fail “Buddy….?” He let out his strongest punch right as he thought he had the kid… but they just caught it with their own hand “… is this all you got?” They said, in a tone that sounded… disappointed. Roderick was unsure how to respond other than trying to punch again. That’s when the kid dodged once again, kicking him in the vest to score a point. Roderick let out an exhale of air as he was knocked on the ground on his back. The kid frowned as he stared down at Roderick. “I trained hard for this… did I train too hard?” The referee helped Roderick back on his feet as the time limit came to its end. The March was won by tail kid. The referee raised tail kids arm up and called them the winner of this round. Though, they didn’t seem happy. They just dragged themselves out of the ring, glancing back at Roderick. “Did you not train hard enough?” They asked before leaving the ring. Roderick just stood there, unsure what to do now as the referee tried to escort him out the ring. He just let them, wondering what just happened. How did… he lose? He trained longer than them, had beat them in the beginning, and… trained harder than them? He did right? He did train harder, right? Didn’t he? He looked up at the referee as they took off his vest and helmet, tears building up in Roderick’s eyes “Was I too weak?” (Your RP Sample needs to be at least 2 paragraphs in length as if you were roleplaying your character and earns EP and PL at a rate of 1 word to 1 EP and 10 words to 1 PL.
