Smirking now that his ki blasts were doing more damage, the prototype Machine Mutant began to charge more and more power as Mizune and co. were getting bombarded. Even when his stronger hit somehow missed its mark, the ISLET operative still thought this fight was becoming more and more sided towards them now. At this point, he might not even need to use that move anymore if his momentum carried over. Watching as the pink-haired UN-11 helping him fired her burning bullet, he began to boost his aura around him to dash through the air towards them, only to see the largest target dive away from him and grab the two girls that had come to save him. What on earth was he doing? Not wanting to wait to find out what he was planning, 'Palindrome' tried to reach after the Pickled Fox, but fell short of it quickly. "Damn it. Missed."Landing just short of them, he watched in shock as Mizune flew off towards the open exit, still having the female duo in his arms. "He can fly?!" Contemplating what TSE could be doing to people that Mizune would know how to fly this easily, the fighter almost forgot to chase after them until the trio almost made it out. "Hey! They're getting away!" Running after them and trying to stop them, the ISLET experiment would end up shooting multiple red lasers after them, all of them unfortunately missing. Realising that burning the metal ceiling around them wasn't doing them any good, he'd instead focus on catching up to the trio, only to find them split off from each other, making him stop once again as he thought of which one to follow. "Oh come on..." Stopped at the opening of the bunker, Palindrome would see that Mizune had already reached an extreme amount of distance away, with Rosemary and Ty going in a different direction too. Secretly happy that they were getting away, the albino man froze in place as he saw them getting away, partially out of shock and partially out of not knowing what to do. It was like he was waiting for an order more than anything else. "What the..."[366 WC] [3547 TWC] (I had to redo this 3 times. Sry all)

And would you look at that? As Maxine expected a counterattack, her furred quarry finally made a smart decision… but, that wasn’t necessarily good news for her. She lined up her next shot as he made his retreat – her gunfire was precise and low-calibre, there was little to get in the way of her sights. But… she was still partially blinded, so he had some hope of escape. She was out of luck for the moment… until the fox scooped up his allies with him. In that case… Maxine offered herself a rare, fleeting smirk, and placed a thumb on her microdetonator switch. No such thing as missed shots with that gadget on hand. And, if she pulled the trigger, she’d wipe out all three at once. Well, maybe no full casualties, but some critical injuries, at least. She waited for the right moment, tapping her finger against the plastic gadget – a little electronic switch on the grip of her assault rifle was the only warning that she had such a nasty trick up her sleeve. She watched her comrade run around like a headless chicken in the meantime. Good on him for keeping up the pressure, but… negative a thousand for his results so far. They were about to split off – it was now or never, but – She hesitated. ”…It’s a success for us, regardless, young man. We’re not supposed to terminate any company assets.” remarked Maxine, though her dour expression betrayed her words. She wasn’t thrilled by the choice, but she was a machine – she followed orders. Taking out two targets would have been nice, but… turning the fox into a bleeding mess was against the rules. ”It’s unfortunate. I think we could have put the other two on ice. But, they wasted their resources, and we collected new intelligence. It was not a failed operation.”Way up above, the Millenium Royale helicopter fluttered over – and from it, a small black box was dropped. As Maxine snatched it from the air, its form was revealed – just a briefcase, it seemed. It didn’t even seem too fancy as she opened it up. But, from there, she let her rifle hang on its sling while she wielded a new weapon… a pair of tweezers. Marching over to Nase, she plucked a hair from his shoulder, and placed it into a tiny plastic sleeve. ”You see? The benefits of technology. They cannot keep up.” mused Maxine, holding the sleeve up to the sunlight; ”An adequate DNA sample. One from the fox, and one from the girl. From my understanding, they’ll make a good addition to the organisation’s intelligence… and, our report should add to that too. If such a strange animal isn’t on their records, then there’s a serious failure in the process early down the line.”Similarly, she searched through the snow for one of the girl’s hairs for a matching bag – though, suffice to say, the vulpine Beastman buddy of hers was not of any interest to ISLET. Satisfied, she put away her tools and instead checked her weapon as she spoke. ”Still. You have a long way to go, young man. You do quite a bit of shouting and shooting, but your tactics and equipment are lacking. I’m new to the company’s affiliation… I presume the same of you. You remind me of my clan’s young bloods.”Though she gave a rather stern frown, she was not a worthless boss. There was a reason her subordinates had some hope for her. ”First, make a solid foundation for your combat. Know your strategy’s key principles and game plan, and try to keep it as basic as you can – the simpler it is, the more you can adapt it. Then, get to know patterns in the types of enemies you face, and create countermeasures for them. Finally, predict your foe’s own plan, and wait for the right moment to interrupt.” Not the most succinct advice, but… she was trying! ”As you saw – they could have blinded me for many more minutes, but they restrained themselves early on… as soon as they offered an inch, I took a mile. In the meantime, I filled in with ordnance that didn’t require a steady aim. I believe they assumed that was all I had to offer… too bad for them.”Sneaking in a tiny smirk once again, Maxine finally relinquished her rifle and paid full attention to her comrade again. ”I’m still on patrol in this area. If you’re heading anywhere, then I can offer my helicopter as transportation… any more than that, though, is up to you.
For now, though… it was a pleasure doing business.
Next time, let’s bag a full fur rug, rather than just some hairs.” [796/4745]

Replying only for story reasons
Turning back to see the android that had he had followed in walk to the vault door, Nase noticed that while she didn't seem happy that Mizune, Ty and Rosemary got away, she wasn't too upset about it either from the looks of things. While at first not getting why she was okay with this, he began to understand once she re-explained their mission. He almost would agree with her, if not for the fact she mentioned wanting to kill the two girls that broke in. Wait, since when did he care about killing others since ISLET got a hold of him? Regardless, he acknowledged that she was seeing the bright side of things, despite not catching Mizune. "I guess that is true. On my side they'll probably be annoyed about them getting away, though..." After a couple of seconds of silence, a sour face appeared on the humanoid's face as he began to think about what was waiting for him back at the base he came from, only for to be brought out of it by the sound of a briefcase falling through the air and being caught. "Are those... tweezers?" Raising a confused eyebrow at her, he watched as the android collected hair off of him to use later. Feeling that he should do something about the fact that they had Ty's hair too, he tried to think of something to say, but came up blank. Everything sounded too suspicious anyway, so he'd just have to hope for her safety. "As long as we have the report. I can't bother dealing with them trying to interview me afterwards..." While he was complaining, he got caught off-guard by her likening him to a rookie, despite it being true. At first, he believed that this was just her calling him an amateur at this, but was surprised to here actual advice in the criticism and began to think it over. "Hm... I think I get that. Thanks, I suppose." While his gruff voice didn't do him any favours, he did his best to sound genuine while he said that while he was still looking off into the distance. "I should be fine with travelling by myself, thanks though." Upon saying this, the dark cloud he road on to the bunker floated in his direction, letting him climb onto it once again. "Besides, you probably wouldn't want something like me up there with ya. And as for the rug..." Giving a faux-salute as he got his Kinto-Un ready, the smirking fighter continued, "Just leave some of him left for me. Good luck hunting." Maybe not everything related to ISLET was detestable, after all.
