Fisherman for a Day
There seemed to have been a strike going on in south city. A problem with their fishing company, so much so that requests for work were even reaching the demon lands. They were looking for anybody to come out and fish. Renaru being the choreboy of his village, was surprised to see he had been offered the job. Perhaps they would see how foolish they were to make Renaru do it when they realize he's one of the only things that keeps it running. After offering and helping so many times, they had begun to take him for granted and even slack off because of it. Seeing him as a reason to not try so hard. Hopefully this time away would set their minds right. Renaru could only dream...and think, as he didn't have much else to do while travelling the lands and getting to South City. He was missing the comforting voice of his niece, and not so much his nephew's devilish witt.
Shortly after making it to South City, the Demon made his way to the docks where he'd meet with one of the only members left. It was there that he had been informed on everything he needed to know, as well as given the details of the boat they were given. Though Renaru had a feeling he wasn't going to need a boat. Only the power he carries within himself. He wasn't on time, in fact, he was early by a few hours. Meaning Renaru had to wait and "explore" for a little while before his given partner showed up. Hopefully he didn't have a thing against Demons. Eventually the time had came and his partner for the day arrived. He had seemed to be a built earthling dressed in emerald. Nothing too impressive looking but his power was definitely something else. He was nothing compared to him, though now begged the question of what a guy like him was doing this for?
"You're here for the fishing, right?"
At Least Renaru hoped he was, otherwise it would've just been awkward.

Being here in this city, has made him miss out on typically a lot of things. He has a job, yes, and he also has, well.. somewhere to stay, but his life felt a bit.. empty, like he was missing something else. Something else was needed, but he wasn't sure of what it was. This was the thought going through Celerai's mind as he flew in the direction of the dock. Apparently, their workers were on a strike at the time, and they wanted replacements for a day. Celerai accepted this offer, as he saw this as a way to earn some extra money. The thought of the delicious dinner being on his table caused his stomach to growl. "Not now, I've gotta finish my job first. I wish I picked up a few hotdogs before I left. But, I'm almost there anyways. This shouldn't take too long."His neon green aura surrounded his body and trailed being his figure, as he flew through the sky at an incredible speed. He managed to master the art of flying after doing it a few times. As he got closer to the dock, he felt a ki signature somewhere near the place. Maybe it was his partner. They said something about having a partner, didn't they? But, his ki was rather.. faint. But, he was definitely not human. Once Celerai landed gracefully, he walked over to the dock, to greet, well.. the demon, who seems to be his finishing partner. "Yes. I am here to fish. My name is Celerai and I'm guessing that you're my partner. Could we please get this over with? I'm really hungry. Unless you have something to eat, I wouldn't mind you sharing it."Celerai didn't find it weird that he was talking to the demon looking fellow. Besides, he has a friend that is a majin. "The names Renaru -and, I dont see why not. But no, I don't have food to give you."
It was true, Renaru didn't have food to give him. Though that doesn't mean he didn't have food, Renaru was rationing on packed meals and couldn't afford to give some away. Atleast until he gets paid. The Mars-colored beast had never been fishing before, so he didn't necessarily expect an easy paycheck. Turning around, the Demon would look at the big wide blue sea before ultimately jumping off the dock and diving into the water. The water had been quite cold at first but refreshing as the Demon had lived in the desert-like conditions of the Southland for most of his life. There were plenty of fish lurking underneath but there were of different kinds. Some looked like the typical type that you would fish for but Renaru would quickly recognize an aggressive fish but only a second too late. A sharp pain would arise from his tail before the Demon would jump out of the water and onto the docks. Where it would be apparent that a random fish had indeed mistaken it for food.
"Ow- Ow- Ow." He expressed his pain in his regular deep voice so it sounded almost sarcastic. It seemed almost out of character for Renaru to deal with such an ordeal.
Finally, it managed to let go before flopping onto the dock and hopping back into the water. Renaru had just watched, knowing it had won. A bitter defeat, Renaru would just have to be faster. He was sure the human wouldn't have any trouble with it. Looking back, Renaru would see if the human was still watching or if he had started tending to his own work. Either way, he just hoped it wasn't as embarrassing as it felt.

It had been several weeks since Kinryu Kyto had left South City and he quite honestly would not have regretted being away from this city a little bit longer. He honestly enjoyed travelling around the world. However, Mai-Mai insisted on ending their vacation a little bit earlier than he would’ve hoped but she wanted to return home to check up on her business interests here. Though she told him that this was only a pitstop and that they should hopefully be able to continue riding on the cruiseliner before it departs the dock. Kinryu Kyto lifted off the balcony of their cruise ship cabin to begin flying over the large harbor section of South City that was separated into several docks. Such as the popular commercial docks filled with many popular tourist features like restaurants and stores. As Kinryu Kyto continued to fly over the Port Bay area he spotted one annoying Saiyan with a fishing pole in his hand beneath him, which he had honestly hoped that he would not run into again on this lovely day and began to turn away. However, before Kinryu could get too far away he spotted disturbance in the water. Bubbles were rising to the surface rapidly growing into a larger bulge of water causing the urge to learn what was causing this to grow more inside him. The answer was revealed to Kinryu Kyto by a huge gush of water up into the air which fell drenchingly upon Celerai, along with the whimpering of pain was a roughly two meter tall demon which had a five meter long fish biting his tail. Kinryu could not resist the impulse to laugh hard at the sight of this comedic incident. Kinryu continued laughing as he descended from the sky. “Yo Celerai! That's how Saiyans used to fish. You might want to get a few pointers from him.”WC:314 TWC:1276 | 2000 Celerai | Crimson

Hm, he didn't have any food for the Saiyan. Well, ok. He knew that at this point, he was begging but at the same time, he was his partner after all, it wouldn't look that bad in someone's eyes if they knew that. It's not like he wasn't there to fish, showed up out of nowhere and started to beg the demon. Oh well, he didn't have anything apparently. It didn't matter anyways, he just wanted to get this over with. Maybe even get some training in. Not with this guy though, he didn't look like a fighter. He was hired for a fishing job, wasn't he? Celerai didn't find it weird at all that Renaru stuck his tail in the river, using it as bait, but he was a bit worried that he didn't know how to. Saiyans were a bit skilled in that field, based on what he and his father did back in the village. It kinda made him wish for his tail to grow back. Celerai's suspicion was right. He didn't know what he was doing and because of this, his tail was bitten by the fish and he groaned in agony. Suddenly, a loud outburst came from above, more like a laugh.. but from a familiar voice. Celerai knew who it was and his Shinryu's ki signature gave his identity away. "I wasn't expecting you.. Shinryu. I've been searching for you for ages now and now you decided to show. Hmph. Well, I think you came at the right time. I knew that, my father taught me how to do that as a child, but he removed my tail."He admitted. He.. wasn't just going to let Shinryu get over here so easily, so he dropped the fishing rod and flared up his neon green aura around his form. He then channeled the energy from his aura to his right hand, creating a ki blade from the energy that he released. Immediately after, he turned around and charged at him. He wasn't actually playing any childish games, but was just simply testing in the moment if Shinryu always kept his guard up. He was hoping for this Saiyan to be his training partner actually, which was why he was searching for him in the first place. He understood that Shinryu has stuff to take care of, just as how Celerai has his job. Using the ki blade as a distraction, he would pull back his left hand, clenching his fist and launching it at Shinryu's midsection. If Shinryu managed to guard the punch, Celerai would compliment him about him getting stronger and all, but if he didn't, he wouldn't really say anything. At least, not yet. "Hehe. I was just.. testing something. Could you help us with this stupid fishing day job? Since you're here, it shouldn't take too long and then we can catch up. We have a lot to talk about."He really hoped that Shinryu would agree, because he actually knows that Shinryu can't really stand being around him sometimes. Celerai can be very annoying at times, but from the past few days of not.. fighting, he realized that there was more to this world than just fighting. [536 | 846] [1812 | 2000]

When Kinyru Kyto heard, Celerai responding back to him with full earnestly that he recalled his Saiyan father once taught him tail-fishing. Kinryu slowly raised his left hand as if he were about to release a blast of Ki aimed at his imbecilic rival but Kinryu instead swiftly turned his hand and smacked his own head. Kinryu then released a deep sigh as he said with a soft tone in his voice. “Okay this only gives further confirmation that he really is that stupid.”Whilst Kinryu Kyto’s hand was still resting on his own face hiding his eyes, he intuitively sensed a sharp change in Celerai's Ki. As he opened his eyes he could only partially see through his fingers Celerai right in front of him. Kinryu’s hands were enwrapped with his blue Ki curled in a dragon fist as he parried away Celerai’s Ki blade. As Kinryu was just about to react with his own melee attack but paused when he saw a childish smile come to the foolish Saiyan warrior’s face. “A test? You call that a test? If you want a true test I’ll get a hold of my little sister’s algebra homework. You stupid monkey.”“You honestly want me to help you do your job? You must be pathetic.” Kinryu Kyto looked over at the humongous fish caught by the tall demon who was still wincing in pain as compared to the small number of fish sitting inside of the bucket Celerai was using. Kinryu grunted a moment before he conceded then lowered himself to the ground and took hold of the Demon’s unused fishing rod. “Fine I’ll do it but it’s not to help you. It’s because I pity this guy being assigned to team up with you.” Kinryu Kyto then rolled back the fishing line spinner until the bait floater hit the tip of the pole. As Kinryu let the line fall loose several centimeters so it would have some leeway to move to build momentum. After Kinryu swung his arms to cast his bait line nearly twenty-five meters out into the sea he looked over at Celerai out the side of his eyes to say sarcastically. “I think it actually was the fish not your father who took your tail.”WC:387 |701 TWC:2199 | 2000 Celerai Crimson
