Luther stalked into the city's high tech gym for the second time since his arrival to the west. It was only recently that he realized just how unfriendly this dump was, and his current status didn't exactly help things. His popularity grew, but his reputation had suffered, as he now mostly performed live in casinos and other open venues in the city. But little by little, he began to lose focus on his job. He trained more often, and as a result, his skills began to become more and more refined and his power increased steadily. At this rate, he should be able to one day become strong enough to take back what was his. His status, pride, and money. His thoughts dwelled heavily upon what exactly he would do to that ape... It would definitely have to be something fitting. Something that truly brought justice and satisfaction to Luther. Maybe he'd toss a car through his window. Yeah, and then maybe after, he'll slowly break every bone in his tiny body as his girl watches, and do it while laughing. Yeah, perfect. Alas, he could only dream, as that's definitely not going to happen anytime soon, and probably never will. Back to reality. Oh yes. Luther was inside one of the fighting rings, cracking his knuckles while smirking. He tilted his neck suddenly, and a loud cracking sound made itself known. It was music to his ears. He loosened up his arm by swinging it in a circular motion, while holding his shoulder with his free hand. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, all while listening to his latest track on his earpieces. Fuck yeah. This is the life.

Finally, the Devil's Cookbook Gang matter was over, and for some reason, Jade wanted to see more action. She stood outside of the Tea House, after telling Juniper that she was leaving. She didn't exactly know if she heard her saying this but whatever. She walked down, with everyone looking at her, probably thinking about how she helped in beating up the gang. She wasn't exactly amused that she was getting so much attention, but was pleased that she actually contributed to the well-being of Oolong City. It wasn't exactly as cold as it was before, so she took off her paw gloves, and removed her hoodie from her head. Since it was safe to actually enter one of the restaurants, she walked inside and purchased a rather small meal, which she ate in a few minutes. Now that she thought about it.. there was something that she needed to do. Juniper has been constantly telling her to get a martial arts master or a tutor. Where could she possibly find one of those at this point? She didn't know the city too much, to the point where she knows where she could find a place someone like that. Maybe she could ask Juniper herself.. or maybe.. she could just try to search for herself. Searching the city for herself sounded good, especially since she really didn't have anything to do actually. She strolled down the half crowded road, with her hands tucked in her jade green jacket, which was also worn with some sneakers and matching shorts. Was she on a wild goose chase or something? She didn't even ask herself this question, and it was a good thing that she didn't. There was a sign on the corner of the poles, that was planted into the sidewalk that said.. 'Martial Arts Masters looking for students. Interested? If yes, just walk along this side of the road, and you'll see a large building-'. The sign was torn at the bottom, which meant that the last few words were gone. What was she supposed to do now? Was she supposed to just turn and walk down half crowded road, and look for a large building? This was a city.. Cities normally has large buildings. Even after all of that contemplation, she still decided to do so. Walking down the busy road, she didn't exactly see a 'large building' but instead saw some shops, and some gyms. What? "Huh? What is this? Is this some sort of joke?"
Was it really? Now that she thought about it.. she wouldn't know where to go unless she ask for directions. Once she tried stopping passers-by to ask for directions,they either say.. "I'm busy" or "I'm not sure." It seemed as if the only way to get her answer was to go inside one of the buildings and ask a random person.. which should be awkward.. for her, at least. She decided to go inside of one of the gyms, where most of the civilians here might be. Most people here cared about fitness, so why not start there. As she walked inside, she observed the equipment and the people who were inside of the gym. She walked slowly down the hallway, and she didn't want to gain too much attention to herself so she went to this random dark skinned man. He looked like a gangster.. and at that time he had some earpieces in his ears. To be honest, she wanted to remove one of the earpieces from his ear, and ask him the question, but instead, she tapped him on the shoulder and said "Uhh, excuse me. Sorry to disturb you but.. Wait. The hell? What was that? Luther's ki sensors had failed to pick up any semi decent ki signatures in this worthless gym, yet... there was one currently entering it. His eyes darted towards the entrance, and he saw her. He saw Jade. He saw the tiny fragile and innocent little girl making her way inside of the gym, for whatever reason. Luther's sensors scanned her again, only to get the same result. He scanned her a third time, before being fully convinced. The pinkette was indeed that powerful. What was it with pink haired girls just wandering around the city like they own the place? Luther stepped out of the ring, lost in thought for a moment. His eyes swept across the gym as he searched for anything as golden as what he just sensed. Nope. Nothing. It was just about then that Luther felt the tapping on his bulky shoulder. He turned around to lock eyes with the short cat woman, and witnessed her mouth moving. Although, he didn't hear a thing. He yanked the earpiece out of his mechanical ears, and tucked it safely into his pocket. Not even bothering to ask the girl what she said, Luther spoke to her. "Why the hell are you so strong?"Why did he even bother. It's not like this was anything out of the ordinary. Luther had only asked that question out of concern. This city was a dangerous place, especially for a girl of her stature, yet still she was more capable than everyone in this gym other than the rap star himself. Where could someone get that kind of power from? Judging by her attire, she couldn't be a martial artist... right? Wasn't she just some common girl that roamed the streets at their leisure? Either way, there was no denying that this girl was impressive.

Did he even hear her question? It seemed as if he really didn't. Why exactly did Jade walk into a gym, and walk into a fighting ring, just to tap someone in the shoulder, and ask a question in which she could've asked anyone else in the building? She.. didn't know exactly why she did that.. but, it wasn't all as bad as it looked. He turned around plucking the earpiece from his ear. The first question that flowed from his lips was.. why was she so strong. Jade knew that she wasn't that strong, but she was still.. strong, but not stupid strong. Hell, this was the reason why she is looking for a martial arts master.. to get stronger, but once she actually thought about the question, she realized something. She wanted to fight someone, even though she wanted to find a master, so she had to take the oppurtunity to ask for a spar. He is obviously some sort of a fighter, or else why would he be in a ring? "Strong? Me? I'm not as you say I am but hey, I think I could fight you for a bit. Sure, I don't look like a fighter, but I'm sure I could give you a challenge."With that said, she tried to stepped inside of the ring, but didn't really know how to, until she saw someone ducking under the ropes, as they went inside of the ring. She mimicked exactly what he did, and once she got inside of the ring, she said to the dark skinned man "My name is Jade, and what should I call you? Come on, don't you want to fight me? Come inside of the ring."
She said to the rapdroid. ".. and you.. could you leave the ring for some time, I'll be using it with my friend over here."
She said to the guy that entered the ring, and once her heard this, he put up a thumbs up, and left the ring. This man might have seen something in her, like potential? Zaru surely saw potential in her, and he confirmed this with his own mouth. Her jade green aura burst to life, as she stood there raising her ki. Her pink hair fluttered about in a irregular way, and the area around her got a little wnidy. Once she stopped, she tried to sense his ki, but she didn't exactly got the result she wanted. She didn't sense anything. She didn't know exactly why was this, but.. if it was just a regular guy, she would probably take it easy on him. She removed her sweater and her paw gloves, and threw them on the corner of the ring, and said to her new opponent. "Wait.. if you sensed my ki, why can't I sense yours? That's weird.." A challenge she says? Luther stared at the girl for a moment before a tiny smile appeared on his face. The girl was definitely a fighter, one that was not at all too confident about her abilities. Hell, she even doubted that she was strong, being the tiny girl she is. But anyone could be strong. Luther learned that as he began to fight more often, meeting people who looked far weaker than himself, but could pose more than a challenge to Luther. Maybe this girl would end up being one of those people. Jumping into the ring himself after receiving Jade's invitation to do so, his smile changed into a smirk. "Name's Luther, girl."The girl braced herself, and allowed her power to boil. A gust of air slapped the big guy in the face as she flared her aura, and Luther's smirk only grew more defined. That was some nice power. It felt refreshing to finally get to fight someone one on one again, someone who he could crush. Easily. It was a nice change of pace, actually. Jade was so far below his level that he would be disappointed if he managed to not end this fight quickly. But it would be a waste if he ended it quickly, no? He crossed his arms before his bulky chest, and locked eyes with the cat woman as she shed clothing. "I'm not exactly human, girl."Now to test just how quick on her feet she was... Luther dashed forward suddenly, and without warning. In the middle of his dash, his fists burst with crimson energy. He tossed a punch at her forehead, the energy dissipating as soon as it would either make contact, or strike air. His other fist did the same, except this one flew towards Jade's chest.

Finally, some action. This was what the feline girl, wearing a black tank top with some track suit shorts, had to say. He ended up accepting her challenge. But, once he stated that he wasn't exactly human, her eyebrows furrowed for a few moments. "Not exactly human? Uhh.. ok. Let's talk about this later. Shall we?"Well, it seemed as if he wanted to get this over with himself, as he charged at the feline girl, attempting to throw a punch at her. Once his fist stopped on front of her forehead, the impact was.. unnatural, causing her to be pushed backwards for a few moments, leaving some distance between the two, which also caused his second attempt to hit her to fail. She tried to stop herself, using her sharp nails, even though that didn't really help a lot, but instead, left a scratch mark inside the ring. She regained her balanced, and once she did, she looked at the dark skinned android saying "Woah, I might not be able to sense your ki, but you look pretty strong already. Ok, it's my turn."Instead of charging at the android, just like he did, she instead aimed her tail at the mandroid, and a flaming ball of jade green ki emerged from it, which was then fired at her opponent. After which, she raised her arm in front of her, and jade green ki blast appeared from it, which was immediately fired at the raproid. Let's see how strong exactly this guy really is.

His fist stopped directly in front of Jade's face. Luther's eyes widened, and he hesitated a bit, before he followed through with his second attack, which the cat woman also avoided. She blocked his first strike... with that technique... "Very clever, girl."She already seemed like a decent challenge. The fact that the girl was familiar with the art of using one's energy as a barrier was impressive on its own, as the rap star himself couldn't get the hang of it to this day. This ought to be interesting... The girl raised her tail, and Luther crouched slightly, and raised one arm in front of him, assuming a classic martial artist's stance. While martial arts wasn't Luther's style, it seemed rather appropriate for this very moment. A beam of energy was shot out of the tip of the girl's cat tail, and charged forward at frightening speeds. Luther didn't even have time to throw up his arms. It slammed into him, directly in the chest, and he slid across the mat on his feet with a grunt. The second blast was fired from the girl's hand, not giving the rapdroid a chance to even react. Yet he still did. He turned his massive body to the side, and leaned back, allowing the energy blast to pass him and hit the energy barrier around the fighting ring. Luther righted himself, and stared at the girl in shock. "How did you..."How did she she do that indeed. That burst of energy was far more powerful than he had expected from her, especially at her level of power. Shrugging, he formed an orb of energy in both hands, the two of them roughly the size of a regular basketball. He began walked towards the girl, tossing one of the energy blasts at the girl. Still marching forward, he threw the other, with eyes furrowed and a frown plastered on his face.

The rapdroid wasn't exactly what you would call.. quick on his feet. Once Jade fired her ball of flaming ki, it connected with the rapdroid's chest. It was so impactful, it sent him sliding across the mat of the ring. The other energy blast was dodged, and by the looks of it, it was with ease. "Oh, that's a thing I've been working on."
The rapdroid seemed rather puzzled once he asked 'how did she..' but the question wasn't exactly finished. "Huh? How did I what? Are you talking about what I did with my tail? Oh, that. Uhh, I don't know really, it's just a thing I developed on my own, and I just decided to use it."Two crimson red balls if energy emerged from the rapdroids palms, but they were rather larger than Jade's first two blasts. As he walked towards the feline girl, she got her mind ready for anything he had up his sleeve. As he threw the first ball of energy at her, she attempted to sidestep the attack, but it ended up making contact with that barrier she was keeping up this whole time, and it simply disappeared. The impact of this sent her staggering backwards, which resulted in the other attack missing. "Oh, that was a nice one."
She was in a crouching position at the moment, and she used that to her advantage. Yet again, she charged up a jade green ki blast at the tip of her tail, and fired it immediately at the rapdroid, but instead of shooting a regular ki blast like before, she instead leaped into the air, repeated the same procedure as before, charging up yet another ki blast at the tip of her tail, and fired it in mid air, landing safely.. like a cat. The girl pulled through Luther's attacks seemingly unharmed. How though? The barrier can't be that powerful, right? Either way, Luther sneered at the girl's small and minor compliment, a bit unnerved by just how much energy he expended. He balled his hands up into fists, and his eyebrows ducked down in an arch, showcasing the classic Luther frown. He watched the girl carefully as she crouched, ready to defend himself at any given moment. He stopped walking forward, and instead raised his fists. The feline leaped high into the air, and Luther wasn't expecting it. He hastily steadied himself as yet another green burst of energy was fired at him, and it poured out onto him like liquid would from a water gun. It exploded against his form, and it hurt way more than it should've. He was forced down onto one knee as he began to send the energy flow in his mechanical body to his palms. He felt... odd. He was being pressured by a little girl, who seemed to have not even broken a sweat. How? She was so far below his level... yet here he was, panting heavily and his ki siphoned somewhat. When he should've been angry like he normally was, he was... impressed... and strengthened. This kind of power was being harbored by a small, fragile pinkette, and it was being used very efficiently and effectively against him. He should get stronger. He should get much stronger. He raised one arm, and fired a beam of crimson energy at the girl, fully intent on severely harming her. If this was her real power, then Luther would show her true power. Getting back on two feet, he threw the other orb of energy at Jade. He froze for a moment, smoke being emitted from his large body. His shoulders slumped, as he felt his energy leave him. Dammit... this fight really has taken its toll on me, and it has barely even started. My strength... my power is leagues above her. Yet she managed to make me waste so much energy... If I'm going to win, I'll have to do it with the little I have left. I'm at least going to show this girl how strong I am. And show myself.

She was proud of herself but at the same time.. she wasn't. The 'she wasn't' part of it was, she didn't know how strong this man was. He was a ki user, that's for sure, but it was just his power.. it's puzzling. He could be holding back, nobidy in knows, but Jade felt something.. something inside of her tokd her that he was probably stronger than her. If not, probably the same amount of power. Only one if her signature energy blast managed to hit the rapdroid, and it seemed as if it was extremely effective. Was she hurting him badly? Could he take anymore? She didn't know the answers to these questions, but she wasn't going to hurt this man more than he already was. He was on one of his knees after taking two hits from her energy blasts and was panting heavily. "Are you ok, Luther?"Suddenly, he raised his arm, charging up a ball of crimson red energy, in which he fired at her. This was pretty unexpected, and she didn't have time to actually dodge the energy blast. It caught her on the chest, full on, and once the smoke disappeared, you could see the little flames on her tank top. "Oh."She attempted to brush herself off, in order to out the little flames on her tank top. Yes, there were some scorch marks left on her clothes, but she didn't exactly had a problem. "Don't worry about that, I'll just wear my sweater over it."
While she spoke, the rapdroid got up, with his arm still aimed at her, but instead of a ki blast emerging from his palm, there was smoke coming from his body. "Oh, that's weird.. smoke? Well, to be fair.. you said it yourself, you're kinda not human. I believe in supernatural stuff. If people could use ki, I guess smoke can come from a guy's body. I still want you to explain this to me later though."She said, as she looked at her opponent. She thought about all of the power that she has been was exerting, and she didn't want to hurt this man a lot more than he is, so she powered down. She somehow mastered the arts of holding back, and reserving her energy. It was just a thing she had in her, like there was just a stumbling block there, that didn't allow her to hold back. She raised her hand in front of her and a rather tiny ball of ki emerged from her palm. It was paler than usual, and she fired it at Luther. She focused only a little amount of ki in that blast, and didn't expect for it to hurt, and if it did, it shouldn't hurt that much. Surprisingly, she charged at Luther, rather than to fire another energy blast at the raodroid. For the first time in the fight, she attempted to punch the man in the stomach. Damn. The girl was resilient. She took the full force of his attack head on, and didn't seem to be too phased by it. The smoke emanating from his form was barely visible, but still there nonetheless, as Luther closed his two palms, balled them up into fists, and raised them defensively. The girl seemed confused about the smoke, as if she'd never seen anything more abnormal before. Luther frowned at the girl, not exactly too thrilled to answer any of her pointless and meaningless questions. His face set in seriousness, as the pinkette began to prepare yet another energy blast for Luther. The weak energy blast hit him in the face, causing a cloud of smoke to be formed. Although, the rap star didn't move a muscle, and as the brief cloud wafted upwards with the rest of the smoke, his face was revealed. Not even a scratch was on it, but his eyes were closed shut. It seems as if he'd been blinded temporarily. Damn. He hated when people did that. The girl dashed forward, suppressing her power level to avoid Luther detecting her, and thrust a small but strong fist into his large stomach. It was obvious that if this fight went on any longer, Luther would lose. Quickly. His energy reserves were running low, and one of the girl's earlier ki blasts had knocked his energy generator out of shape, as it was generating energy a lot more slowly than usual. Luther stepped backwards, crossed his arms, and opened his eyes once again. Things were blurry for a few moments, but his full vision came back to him. He adjusted the cap on his head as he addressed the girl. "Alright, that's enough. You've convinced me, you are strong. Just be glad I held back against you."His body ached with pain, and his insides were wonky, but that wasn't going to stop him from insisting that he wasn't fighting at his best. He thought about the girl's curiosity before answering. "I'm a robot, girl. A human turned into a robot. I'm guessing that you've never heard of it before, despite things like this being common."He stepped out of the ring, and waved goodbye to the girl. "You have potential, Jade. Keep it up. I'm sure one day, you'll become one of the strongest people I know."With that, he walked out of the gym, leaving Jade by herself, to dwell upon her own thoughts.
