Misaki wiped her brow as she moved through the city. it was quite a hot day, and while the umbrella protected her from the warmth of the sun's rays overcharging her, her body was still being overheated by the sheer heat the city absorbed and expelled. The stones here were hot enough to feel through her red shoes, the heat from the car's driving past and scattering hot air was staggering, and the crowds of people nearby were sweaty and expelling heat like a miniature toaster oven. It was unbearably hot, and the florist wished badly she'd packed more than one handkerchief - for one of hers was already covered in sweat and grime.
The little problem left her so hot and sweaty that she nearly forgot why she was here. After all, she'd come to look for a very specific job, one that might shape how her life went from here. After all, she knew her parents might have a problem with her having a job far away from them, and for all she knew this might make them see the writing on the wall, and drop her financial support.
Still, Misaki had been doing a lot of travelling, lately. She'd spent a lot of time thinking about if it was worth her time... and there was only one answer in the end. She could raise money. She could build her own education. She might lose her link with her parents, but it was only a little sooner than usual, not a lot. In exchange, if she could work amongst the strong... learn more about what she could do, and Build herself to further heights, while doing the work she was born to do already... How could Misaki possibly pass up an opportunity like that? Why would she? Clearly, it was an attachment problem, one she didn't realize she'd had to begin with. And, in this case...
She knew what she wanted. She knew what she was going to push for. So as she walked next to a whining Coral, she'd already rehearsed her hiring spiel. Her answers to imagined questions, her reactions to certain things. what she knew how to do summarized in short. How much she might want to work and what her personality let her do that others wouldn't.
After all, Misaki was strong. She would do this with full confidence, completely prepared, and take what she wanted even if it took every bit of effort possible-
"Misaki! Octopus!" Coral called out from next to her, Causing Misaki to look up with an incredulous questioning face... before seeing Hachi.
"...Oh! Hachi!" Misaki said with a smile. "...It's been a little while. How are you?" She asked the eager octopod, before taking the little letter he had, and reading the contents.
After finishing the letter, a large smile draped itself on Misaki's face. "...Well. how about that." The girl said with a happy look. "...Everything turned out better than expected. Come on, Coral. It appears my new job awaits... and we'll have quite the secure place for you to be when we need to stop and get our rest."
Coral looked up, and after a few seconds, would add "...Does it have free food?"
"Probably?"
"Yes!"
Misaki shook her head at that. she really didn't expect the heiress to a big company to be so happy for something as simple as food. She smiled at the girl's excitement, though, as they headed to the teahouse.
-----
with that, the two headed to the site with a smile as the new estate had gone through some wonderful renovations. "Wow! Look how pretty this place is!" Coral exclaimed, looking around as she hauled her luggage behind her. "This almost looks as good as my old place! Just... wow! So they want you to work here, Misaki?"
"They do." Misaki calmly replied. "And I have every intention of doing so. Just give me a moment to get Miss Juniper's attention..."
Counting on her abilities as a sensor, Misaki took a guess, and Spiked her power, hoping that the familiar feeling would get Juniper's attention as she reached her maximum, holding little back. thanks to her continued training, she managed to do it this time, without messing up the surroundings. it was still enough to make Coral jump and dump her luggage, though, before hurriedly picking everything back up. "Oh crap oh crap oh crap there's fragile stuff in there!"

"Don't worry. I'm good with pictures. Well, I could just tell you where to put which colour. I think that looking at a wonderful painting calms the mind. Have a little bit of hope. I think that I should tell you something.. I recently learnt how to manipulate ki with my tail. That seems to be pretty impossible, but as you can see, I've mastered it. Well, I haven't exactly tried it out with an opponent, so.. I won't say that I've mastered it until then. But you see, I did this, so simply mastering painting is possible. It's given that it will take a lot of time, but it can still happen. I'm here to help."
She said. Once Juniper started to offer a way if getting a instructor, Jade listened attentively and then smiled.
"I wish that I could help with that but.. I can't. You have important work, and I can't stop you. It's should be boring, now that I think about it, but just ti serve all of Oolong City, and that is something good. I think I'll post a job in the internet, no problem. But.. if they get the job, where would they stay?"
Once she realized that Juniper was looking at behind her, she was thinkig that the guitar that was behind her caught Juniper's attention.
"Oh. I'm.. learning actually. I haven't mastered it as yet. I only know the basic chords; E minor, C major, D major and.. G major. I've learnt some other stuff on the internet. There are a variety of chords that you could play on the guitar: minor chords, major chords, barred chords, diminished chords, and many others. But most of those are for professionals. I'm a beginner."
She chuckled after saying this, and took an apple slice. She liked apples.
"It's nice to hear that you like music. Once I actually know how to play the guitar properly, we'll have lots of fun. I'll play all of our favourite songs."
Well, it was less than a minute after, when door was slid opened, and this familiar face appeared from behind. It was not only Hachi, but also that blue haired man named Fenrir. The first time the feline girl met this man, was at the meeting which involved the Devil's Cookbook Gang. Juniper seemed to be extremely surprised, and she got up pretty quickly to greet Fenrir. Apparently, she had already saved a room for him, and once she was about to show Fenrir his room, she told the feline girl to accompany her. Jade nodded her head in agreement, and followed Juniper on a tour to his room. The staff had appeared in the hallway and slid opened the door in order for Jade, Fenrir and Juniper to enter. Based on the conversation that she was hearing, she found out that he liked to cook.
"That's very nice Fenrir. I.. would like to learn how to cook sometime. Thinki you could teach me?"
As they stepped outside, Jade observed the beautiful flowers, that were assorted in many colours. She meant that they were edible after a few moments, but she hasn't exactly thought about eating flowers.. at least.. not yet? She would have to ask Juniper about it. Once they got back inside, Jade didn't follow, but instead said
"I'll be out here is if you need me."
The environment was pleasing. Feeling the nice fresh air seeping thrigg her pink hair. Her jade green eyes got lost into the assortment of flowers that were in front of her. It was nice. Nice to be here.. this.. is home. Not long after, Jade's eyes widened as she felt a sudden spike in power. She didn't know exactly who it was.. but it was familiar. It was someone from that tea house. But who? Fenrir? Nah. She ran to through the hallway of the house and slid the door open, only to see the green haired girl with crimson red eyes. Misaki? Was that her name?
"Are you.. uhh.. Misaki? I remember you. You're from the tea house. I'm Jade."
She said, stretching her palm towards Misaki offering her a handshake.
"I must say, you're really strong."

His room had everything that he could ever need. Well, at least at first glance. The tall well muscled man, clad in red leather, had given the room a quick glance over. And as he looked around, being given a small tour, he couldn't help as if he had been thoroughly upgraded and also spoiled. He had not had a room of his own in so long that he almost forgot what it felt like. He was so used to hostels and brothels that seeing this room just felt ... odd, but in a nice way.
The room was separated into several areas; the largest area, which had a kind of open floor plan, revealed to him a nice modest kitchen, a small refrigerator, big enough to hold what he needed, a good amount of cabinet space, countertop space, and drawer space for storage. There was also a nice area that he was shown to be some kind of storage room, like a pantry. He saw it had a good amount of things in it already so it appeared as if she had taken his hobby into consideration knowing that sooner or later the tall wolf would appear at their door.
In front of the small kitchen was a rather diminutive dining area; there was a table. It was nothing particularly spectacular, nothing to write home about, at least to anyone else. In Fenrir's eyes it was quite impressive. The table was of a good sturdy material, well constructed, and it had at least four chairs around it - which meant it could seat four people comfortably - though he guessed that he could squeeze two more chairs if he tried to increase the maximum seating capacity to six.
Not far from the table there was a 'living room' area with a TV on a small dresser, there was a low table that he did not recognize, having never seen anything like it, but he liked the look of it. There was tatami in that area as well, similar to the floor when he first entered the grand estate. So he made sure that when he walked across it, he did so carefully; not like it mattered, he was still wearing those comfortable slippers that he had picked up at the front of the estate when he first entered.
He was shown a bathroom, and then he was taken outside.
The flowers were edible? He had never really imagined himself eating flowers before. But, he had eaten berries out in the forest - knowing which ones were edible and which were not was something that was of utmost importance as one wrong berry could get one sick or worse.
When Jade piped up, the feline showing some curiosity about cooking - apparently the girl was not accustomed to it or was possibly not trained in it - the wolf tapped his chin, "Cooking is an art that can be fudged." He said, musing to himself somewhat, "You can change a recipe by adding this or that to it, or omitting it from the recipe entirely. It's not an exact science; you don't have to be fully precise with a lot of things. So there is a nice learning curve. If you want to be taught, I do not mind." He replied.
There were servants that were wandering around the area; he could see them somewhat just out of sight, tending to the flowers, or previously as he had been led to his room, he saw several wandering the halls, opening doors for them to make traversing the castle-like place a bit easier.
"Maybe I'll check out the main kitchen of this place; it's been a while since I got to work in a fully equipped kitchen. Hotels and hostels don't usually have anything close to what I could call a kitchen. Even the highest rated hotels in the area only have a tiny kitchenette which is worth little; even smaller than the kitchen I have here. So, I wouldn't mind seeing the main kitchen. Maybe I will find some new knives in Oolong; a cook's knives are important, they are practically an extension of themselves. Hm, but first, I'll need to examine the knives we have."
When Jade scampered off - she also had picked up that sudden spike in energy - Fenrir turned to look in the direction she went before he peered back to Juni, "Thank you for the consideration. I'll make sure to cook something nice for everyone once I'm settled into my new room."

In Jade’s Room: “There is actually an empty room behind your bedroom that your master trainer can reside in, there are plenty of rooms in this estate so you don’t have to worry about it. Go ahead and make your job posting online, indidicate in the subject that it includes housing at zen acres, and I am sure you will find plenty of candidates, maybe someone who can help you learn guitar as well. Hmm, hopefully things do not get so busy that I cannot spare the time to go to Orchestra Village, but you should go visit Duke Glacier to give you a tour of where the finest instruments are made in the world.”In Fenrir’s Room: “You will find the kitchen in the west wing, you are currently in the corner of the east wing, and I am sure you will not miss finding it. The cooks are preparing our meals right now, so if you have a dish to add for us to try this evening, I am sure the kitchen staff will gladly assist. I look forward to what you cook, Fenrir-san.”
The Estate Kitchen: The kitchen was worthy of the grand estate to not only feed the residents but the servants and staff that operated the grounds. The pantry was laid out in the center of the grand kitchen, almost like a market, with refrigerators, and a misting watering system to keep the produce fresh. The temperature was regulated despite the roaring fires of the cooking stations. A large vessel against the wall was steaming rice, the aroma of rice lingered, the copper colored metal was engraved with the kanji for sake 酒 . It was a strong indication that apart from the traditional meal times, a house sake was being brewed, produce was being processed to be pickled or preserved to build a stock room as it was Juniper’s wish for zen acres to be self sustainable with the combined efforts of everyone who lived in this massive estate. Juniper bowed slightly at Fenrir and followed after Jade around the front, following the water canal to the main entrance where Misaki stood greeting her feline friend. The tea princess acknowledged Coral with a bow and introduced herself. “I am delighted that you accepted the Gardener resident position for zen acres. I will show you to your living quarters, it is the east corner suite on the second floor. I hope you have time to eat dinner with us, our meals are perfectly designed based on what I recall everyone’s chakras to be, but apart from a healthy balanced diet the chefs are talented in crafting a superb taste. Follow me.”The stairway was around the grand entrance hall that was an open tatami mat space for special occasions, most importantly it was a tea ceremony room, and to the right of the outdoor wooden deck was a set of stairs and a long hallway that led to Misaki’s room and her companion Coral. It was not as well decorated as Jade or Fenrir’s, it was left rather plainly, apart from a few house plants. “I apologize for the lack of decor, I feel if we spent more time together, I would have a better understanding of the feng shui this room would require so I focused on health bagua. There are three rooms here, this is just the common room that overlooks the trees of zen acres, which I felt was a better view than the city or the grand duke’s plateau." “Well, I will take my leave so that you both may settle in. There are servants within ear shot if you desire anything, simply ring the bell and they will assist you. See you at dinner?” Juniper smiled followed by a gentle wave of her hand. “Isn’t this exciting, Jade? More residents to train with and we can work on getting projects done on zen acres to really profit from the land. I feel like having tea, care to join me in my room?” From the main second floor hall, her room was directly above the main entrance on the second floor, near the stairs with a short hallway that led to hand painted sliding door panels. It was a maze of moving panels more complex than the main floor purposely done specifically for feng shui, being placed at the center of the estate, to harmonize with the energies of the people Juniper was surrounded by, in order to home in on their ki signatures as a method of mastering her mysticism. To Misaki's sudden surprise, the first person she saw was not, in fact, the head of the Teahouse, Juniper, but somoene just slightly before the Mark - her friend, Jade. The Young Kazamiya bowed even as she looked around in appreciation of everything Juniper had built. the rooms here were perfectly beautiful, and the Teahouse itself was a work of traditional artistry and culture. For Misaki's preference in style, it was a treat to the eyes, particularly given the lack of this natural wonder and beauty in some of the other areas of Oolong city. Here, the air was clear, the grass outside was singing, the sounds of the world around were exclusively pleasant... calming, balanced, and harmonious with nature, as all things should be. Even the flowers loved this place, and as far as Misaki was concerned, that was the highest degree of compliment anywhere got.
Coral, for her part, was also amazed, even as she was asking about things like sliding doors and the mats and what if she fell over onto something?! Misaki put a hand to her shoulder at that last point, with a look that implied silence would be preferable, and the girl had quickly meeped her mouth shut in response to that.
Back in the present, Misaki gave a nod and a smile. "I am happy that you remembered my name. Yes, I am Misaki Kazamiya. It is a pleasure to see you again, Jade!" She added with a polite tone, taking the handshake with a strong grip as the two shook. At Jade's second comment, Misaki nodded. "So are you." She'd add with a chipper tone, though she almost seemed... confused for a second. as though she didn't understand the emphasis with which such an affirmation would be made. After all, of course Misaki was strong. that was simply who she was. Did Jade... have some sort of problem with that?
"Well, I'd certainly hope so, since she's my bodyguard." Coral added with an awkward chuckle, before adding. "uhhh... Hi. I'm Coral. Misaki's my bodyguard but I already said that and I'm just a traveller. Don't mind me. Also, do you guys have people that could like, move some of this luggage?" The pink girl asked with a look of stress, as she looked back to her insanely overstuffed Luggage cart. One one pulley-like situation, a pink-and-white set of suitcases and bags and outfits hung from clothes hangers connected to bags, somehow completely pristine despite the rough travel the duo had put it through, stuck out in every direction, constantly threatening to tumble but never quite falling - an abomination of sense and common decency pushed aside for capitalistic excess, as was expected for an heiress.
The question fell to the side like feathers scattering in the breeze as someone else joined in on the conversation, and Misaki gave a happy smile and wave to Juniper. "it's good to see you again." Misaki would add with a broad smile, the florist still finding herself having a favorite in Juniper. It only made sense, given how much time they'd spent together, and how much kindness Juniper had shown her. The largest example, of course, being the job she'd just recently taken within the teahouse! She was happy with how eager Juniper was to take her on, asking for not a thing before thanking her for taking the position, and Misaki's smile grew the tiniest bit wider. As Juniper continued and told her more about the balance of the meals here, Misaki nodded with a very satisfied expression, clapping her hands together and cocking her head slightly to the side as she considered that. She had no idea that Chakra alignment was something that could be so easily read and then applied to the quality of one's own meals, but she trusted that Juniper was not lying to her on the subject - after everything else Juniper's unique ability had taught her about the gardener, things the florist herself hadn't known about her heritage, she felt she could completely trust in the mystic's abilities.
With a smile and a polite nod, Misaki quickly followed along, Coral bringing along her large cart of Luggage with her, the pink-haired princess staying silent as she went, hoping not to mess up Misaki's big chance here.
"Lead the way."
When they got to the room, and Misaki got to see her very own living area, a pleased hum immediately escaped her as she looked around. the plants were pretty, and she was already looking forward to taking care of them, naming them, and making them part of her immediate morning routine. The utilitarian nature very much pleased her, and as Juniper explained her reasoning for the room's layout, Misaki gave a happy sigh. "It looks wonderful. If I was to say any corrections or situations that need to be changed... I'll need a desk, with a lamp, some time in the future." Misaki explained. "I'm on break, but I have every intention of completing my university studies while I am here, once that break finishes. I'll need those to properly study and keep pace." Misaki added with a neutral, if cheery expression. "Though don't worry - I don't intend on letting my schooling get in the way of me remembering my duties on the job. I'll make sure this teahouse stays pristine and happy."
Coral, meanwhile, had already begun moving a bit of her luggage in, putting it to the side.
Misaki looked over to her. "...I understand it might be a bit much to construct an extra room, but I do believe Miss Pov'rel here would be more than willing to fit the bill, if she wishes to keep close to her bodyguard~".
Coral's response was a distracted "Do you take credit? Unlimited Debt work-I mean..." the pink-haired heiress turned pink as she caught herself in the middle of that statement. "...I can pay for anything like that on my credit card, if you'll have me. and a little more if you don't tell my parents about that little nickname. Hehehehehe..."
